Sentences Introductory to Public Worship Deuteronomy 33:27. The eternal God is our refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Psalms 5:7. As for me, in the abundance of Thy loving kindness will I come into Thy house: in Thy fear will I worship toward Thy holy temple.
Psalms 15:1-2. Lord, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh truth in his heart.
Psalms 19:14. Let the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, our rock and our redeemer.
Psalms 24:3-5. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? and who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psalms 33:18; Psalms 33:20. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy. Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our shield.
Psalms 34:3. Oh magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.
Psalms 34:8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.
Psalms 34:15; Psalms 34:18. The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 36:5-6. Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies. Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God, Thy judgments are a great deep. O Lord, Thou preservest man and beast.
Psalms 36:7-9. How excellent is Thy loving kindness, O God. Therefore the children of men take refuge under the shadow of Thy wings. Thou wilt make them to drink of the river of Thy pleasures. For with Thee is the fountain of life: in Thy light shall we see light.
Psalms 37:3; Psalms 37:7. Trust in the Lord, and do good; rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.
Psalms 42:1. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth our soul after Thee, O God.
Psalms 43:3. Oh, send out Thy light and Thy truth. Let them lead us, let them bring us unto Thy holy hill.
Psalms 46:1-2. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be moved, and though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas.
Psalms 51:15-17. O Lord, open Thou my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Thy praise. For Thou delightest not in sacrifice, else would I give it Thee: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.
Psalms 63:1; Psalms 63:3. O God, Thou art my God, early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee. Because Thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee.
Psalms 65:1-2. Praise waiteth for Thee, O God, in Zion, and unto Thee shall the vow be performed. O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come.
Psalms 65:4. Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest, and causest to approach unto Thee, that he may dwell in Thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, even of Thy holy temple.
Psalms 84:1-2; Psalms 84:4. How amiable are Thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God. Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house, they will praise Thee evermore.
Psalms 86:1;Psalms 86:4. Bow down Thine ear, O Lord, and answer us; for we are poor and needy. Rejoice the soul of Thy servants; for unto Thee, O Lord, do we lift up our soul.
Psalms 89:16. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of Thy countenance. In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day.
Psalms 92:1; Psalms 92:3. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High: to show forth Thy loving kindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night.
Psalms 95:6-7. Oh come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.
Psalms 96:4; Psalms 96:6. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. Honor and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psalms 100:2; Psalms 100:4-5. Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: give thanks unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good, His loving kindness endureth for ever, and His faithfulness unto all generations.
Psalms 113:1; Psalms 113:3. O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.
Psalms 118:24. This is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 121:1-2. I will lift up mine eyes to the hills: from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalms 122:1-2. I was glad when they said unto me, “Let us go unto the house of the Lord.” Our feet are standing within Thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Psalms 125:1-2. They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this time forth and for evermore.
Psalms 130:6-7. My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning. Hope ye in the Lord; for with the Lord there is mercy and plenteous redemption.
Psalms 134:1. Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, that stand by night in the courts of the Lord.
Psalms 135:1-3. Praise ye the name of the Lord: praise Him, O ye servants of the Lord. Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good: sing praises unto His name, for it is pleasant.
Psalms 143:8. Cause us to hear Thy loving kindness in the morning, for in Thee do we trust. Cause us to know the way wherein we should walk, for we lift up our soul unto Thee.
Psalms 145:3; Psalms 145:5. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. We will meditate on the glorious honor of Thy majesty, and of Thy wondrous works.
Psalms 145:15-16; Psalms 145:18. The eyes of all wait upon Thee. Thou openest Thine hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.
Isaiah 55:6; Isaiah 55:9. Seek ye the Lord, while He may be found; call ye upon Him while He is near; for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts, saith the Lord.
Jeremiah 10:6-7. There is none like unto Thee, O Lord. Thou art great and Thy name is great in might. Who should not fear Thee, O King of the nations?Micah 6:6; Micah 6:8. Wherewithal shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? What doth the Lord require but to do justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Matthew 7:7-8. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 18:20. Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.
John 4:23-24. The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be His worshippers. God is spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
James 4:8. Draw nigh unto God, and He will draw nigh unto you. Cleanse your hands and purify your hearts.
Hebrews 10:22. Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience.
Hebrews 4:16. Let us draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 12:22-24. Ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant.

1 John 5:14. This is the boldness which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us.
