Our Adversary the Devil and His Angels
Keith Daniel

Keith Daniel (1946 - 2021). South African evangelist and Bible teacher born in Cape Town to Jack, a businessman and World War II veteran, and Maud. Raised in a troubled home marked by his father’s alcoholism, he ran away as a teen, facing family strife until his brother Dudley’s conversion in the 1960s sparked his own at 20. Called to ministry soon after, he studied at Glenvar Bible College, memorizing vast Scripture passages, a hallmark of his preaching. Joining the African Evangelistic Band, he traveled across South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and made over 20 North American tours, speaking at churches, schools, and IBLP Family Conferences. Daniel’s sermons, like his recitation of the Sermon on the Mount, emphasized holiness, repentance, and Scripture’s authority. Married to Jenny le Roux in 1978, a godly woman 12 years his junior, they had children, including Roy, and ministered together. He authored no books but recorded 200 video sermons, now shared online. His uncompromising style, blending conviction and empathy, influenced thousands globally.

Sermon Transcription
Thank you. Can we just bow for a moment of prayer, please? Lord in mercy on all of us, wash me in the blood of God. God the creator, God the saviour, God the coming judge, should there be anything that was not holy and Christ-like in thine eyes of my smallest thought or reaction that I overlooked to confess to thee in my baseness and weakness. Forgive me that I might be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, that I might be a vessel meet for the master's use. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, anoint my mind, my heart, my understanding. I know I am nothing and at my best the most unprofitable and unworthy of all thy servants, and I do not need for thee to remind me that, dear Lord. But in mercy take this weak vessel and base vessel and despise that vessel. That no flesh can glory in thy presence, come visit every one of our hearts. Keep everyone still, Lord, and somehow quicken every single person's mind and heart. In Jesus the Christ's name, in Jesus the Christ's name, Amen. In Genesis 3 verse 1, Now the serpent, the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. The serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die, for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat. Verse 13, And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cast, thou art cast. Verse 15, And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head, it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel, thou shalt bruise his heel. Thousands of years were to pass, but when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son made of a woman. God sent forth his Son made of a woman. Galatians 4 verse 4, Matthew 4 verse 1, Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights, he was afterward and hungered, he was afterward and hungered. And when the tempter came, when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made red. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down. For as it is written, It is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written, Again thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee. All these things will I give thee. If thou wilt fall down and worship me, then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence Satan. For it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him. And behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Now beloved, Satan knew that this was God's Son manifested in the flesh. Satan knew that this was God's Son manifested in the flesh, and most certainly the fulfillment of what God had said to him in the garden concerning the woman's seed. It shall bruise thy head. Literally, he shall crush thy head. He will destroy you. He will destroy you. And Jesus knew with whom he was dealing. I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10 verse 18. Isaiah 14 verse 12. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning? How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nation? For thou hast said in thine heart, thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will be like the most high. Now this passage, this staggering passage, has caused much controversy through the ages. For in its immediate context, in its immediate context, it speaks of the Medo-Persian king, of the Babylonian empire at that time. In its immediate context, it speaks of the Medo-Persian king of the Babylonian emperor of that time. But all of the great reformation leaders and many of the most revered theologians throughout the church's history believed that in its broader context, that is in the light of the rest of the scriptures, it speaks of Satan and his fall from heaven as a result of pride and self-exaltation. They reason that other passages in Isaiah, other passages in Isaiah which speak specifically of king Cyrus, again and again, in their immediate context. In their broader context, they speak of Christ, they speak of Christ messianic prophecies, such as the pivotal messianic prophecy of the entire Bible, Isaiah 53. Thus they reason this passage of Isaiah 14 from verse 12, though in its immediate context it speaks specifically of the Medo-Persian king at that time. In its broader context, it speaks of someone far more significant than that isolated incident and king at that time in the world's history. It speaks beyond doubt in the light of the rest of the scriptures of Satan and his fall from heaven as a result of pride and self-exaltation. And oh beloved, this fearful warning is strewn throughout the whole Bible to all of us. This fearful warning is strewn throughout the whole Bible to all of us, that after pride cometh the fall. After pride cometh the fall. 1 Chronicles 21 verse 1, and Satan stood up against Israel and provoked David to number Israel. He tempted David to embrace pride and self-exaltation, knowing that this would bring God's judgment upon them as it had upon him, as swiftly as it had upon him. Pride goeth before destruction. Proverbs 16 verse 18, pride goeth before destruction. In 1 Timothy 3 verse 6, Paul warned the early church not to take a novice, someone young in the faith, and elect him as an elder or deacon. Not to take a novice and elect him as an elder or deacon, lest, being puffed up with pride, he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Lest, being puffed up with pride, he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer? The same principle, the same principle of Isaiah 14 from verse 12 is applied to another staggering passage of the scriptures in Ezekiel chapter 28 verse 12, which speaks in its immediate context of Itobal, the king of Tyre at that time, but in its broader context speaks obviously of someone of greater significance, far greater significance than that isolated king at that time of Tyre. It speaks again of Satan and his fall from heaven as a result of pride and self-exaltation. We read from verse 12, Thus saith the Lord God, you were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering in the day that thou was created. Thou art the anointed cherub, the anointed angel that covereth, literally that covereth the holy of holies, the throne of God. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth, and I have set thee so. Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created till iniquity was found in thee. Therefore, I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God, and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty. Thou has corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness. I will cast thee to the ground. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer? How art thou cut down to the ground? I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Revelation 12, verse 7, And there was war in heaven. There was war in heaven. Verse 9, And the dragon, the dragon was cast out. That old serpent called the devil and Satan, he was cast out into the earth. And his angels, his angels were cast out with him. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12, verse 4, And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven. His tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and it cast them to the earth. Jude, verse 6, And the angels, the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation, the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness, under darkness, unto the judgment of the great day. 2 Peter 2, verse 4, For if God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to hell, if God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to hell. Now beloved, this word hell, it is not Gehenna, it is not Hades, two Greek words prominent, predominantly the two Greek words that we translate into the English, for hell. It is not the Old Testament Hebrew, Sheol, the one predominant word throughout the Old Testament for hell in the English. This verse is unique, for only once in the entire Bible does God speak of Tartarus, the angels that kept not their first estate, if God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to Tartarus. It is unique in that it speaks here of the initial judgment of God upon the angels when he cast them out of heaven into this earth. It speaks of this earth atmosphere, God's initial judgment on the angels who kept not their first estate but left their own habitation, and now is this out of water. They are desperate, they are suffering, they are desperate demons in the atmosphere of this earth, but this is only God's initial judgment in casting them down to this earth, whereas fish out of water, having left their own habitation which they were created for in the light and glory of God to worship him and serve him, now in this darkness they suffer as desperate demons, they suffer in what to them is now darkness, and they await, fearfully await their final judgment. In Matthew 8 verse 29, a demonically possessed man stood before Christ. In Matthew 8 verse 29, a demonically possessed man stood before Christ, and the demons cried out in fear at Christ. What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us? Before the time, they know that the time awaits them of their final judgment, which is the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25 verse 41, the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25 verse 41, and Paul, Paul warns us that these fallen angels, these desperate demons now oppose us in spiritual warfare here upon the earth. Paul warns us that these fallen angels, these desperate demons now oppose us in spiritual warfare here upon the earth. In Ephesians 6 from verse 13, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in places. But God beloved, in his infinite mercy and wisdom, has given us much instruction concerning our adversary, the devil and his angels. God beloved, in his infinite mercy and wisdom, has given us much instruction concerning our adversary, the devil and his angels, lest Satan should get an advantage of us, lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2 verse 11, we are not ignorant of his devices. In the book of Daniel, in the book of Daniel, we are given an amazing insight into the battle, the fierce battles that rage between the fallen angels and God's angels concerning the affairs of men. We are given an amazing insight into the fierce battles that rage between God's angels and the fallen angels concerning the affairs of men. In Daniel chapter 10, we find Daniel fasting and praying for three weeks, 21 days, seeking God, this godly prophet, seeking God earnestly, longing for God to give him revelation and understanding of eschatology, of prophetic, vital, pivotal events leading up to the world's end, to Christ's return, knowing that God had ordained him to be a writing prophet, the written prophecies which must be, and he knew it, recorded in the holy book eventually, for mankind to know that this is God's word, for mankind to know what God is doing, to be sure of the Messiah, when he's coming, how long it will be. Oh, God was to give him revelation. Daniel was agonizing to such a degree as he realized as he kept to guess trips with God to give him revelation. Ah, but suddenly in chapter 10, verse 12, an angel appears to him. The angel Gabriel appears to him. Verse 12, then said he unto me, hear not Daniel, for from the first day that thou did set thine heart to understand and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Verse 20, and now will I return, now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia, and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come. But I will show thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth, and there is none that holdeth with me in these things but Michael, your prince. Here we witness the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, the spiritual wickedness in high places, in fierce battle, attacking God's angels to thwart God's purposes, in an attempt to thwart God's plans and purposes upon earth, attacking in fierce wrath and anger and evil, and we hear of the names of these great demons, these fallen angels, the prince of the kingdom of Persia, the prince of Greece, the kings of Persia, demonic fallen angels, great demonic beings who were allocated by Satan specifically to rule, that's what the word prince means, over the affairs of Satan in each specific nation he allocated them to, naming them as the ruler of evil there, to try and undermine God's purposes, to thwart God's plans, to hurt God's people. Oh, these evil princes, these evil fallen angels are allocated by Satan over nations to close the gospel door we can find in the New Testament, where Satan closed his eyes to us, Paul said, and he acknowledged that Satan, oh these evil beings are terrifying forces, but Michael, the archangel comes to assist Gabriel, and together they eventually prevail over these demonic forces, eventually they prevail over these demonic forces, Jude verse 9, yet Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil, he disputed about the body of Moses, does not bring against him a railing accusation, does not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, the Lord rebuke thee, the Lord rebuke thee, he immediately turns to Christ to deal with Satan, when dealing with Satan, he immediately turns and looks to Christ and cries, the Lord rebuke thee, Zechariah 3 verse 1, and he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him, Satan standing at his right hand to resist him, and the Lord said unto Satan, the Lord rebuke thee, oh Satan, even the Lord that has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke thee, is not this a brand plucked out of the fire, here Christ rebukes Satan in his own name, here Christ rebukes Satan in his own name, in Luke chapter 10 from verse 17, we are given an amazing statement of the uncomprehendable power and authority that is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Luke chapter 10 from verse 17, we are given an amazing statement of the uncomprehendable power and authority that is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we read from verse 17, and the 70 returned again with joy saying, Lord, even the devils, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name, and he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven, behold, I give unto you power, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you, nothing shall by any means hurt you, notwithstanding, notwithstanding in this, rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven, here Christ cautions them and us that salvation, regeneration is imperative, is vital before any man on this earth dares to take the authority and power that is in Christ's name to assert it against the demonic forces of this world, it is vital, it is imperative that a man must be saved before he dares to confront demons or demonic powers in the name and the power and the authority with the name and power and authority of Jesus Christ our Lord, Jesus warned us in Matthew chapter 7, many, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils, many, it's beyond human comprehension, it's beyond my comprehension, but Christ said it will happen, many unsaved will say in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works, then will I profess unto them I never knew you, I never knew you, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity, depart from me ye that work that never turned from a life iniquity, evil, though you were religious doing these things in my name. Beloved, if a man is delivered from demonic possession by the power and authority that is in Christ's name, it does not mean that he is saved, it does not mean that he is saved, he must then be carefully and prayerfully instructed concerning true salvation and God's way to salvation, that of his own free will, he must repent from all nonsense and turn to God to be delivered by the risen resurrected power of Christ, looking as he confesses his sinfulness and evil and looks to the blood of Jesus Christ and by grace is saved through faith in the blood and as he seeks God for deliverance from a life of evil forever, the Holy Spirit will only then bear witness with his spirit that he is born again, that he is a child of God. You see, the effect of righteousness is peace, righteousness imputed by God and righteousness imparted and as he becomes conscious that the God's righteousness has been imputed by faith and imparted by faith, the Holy Spirit bearing witness. Oh, the effect of righteousness is peace, God says, is peace, but oh, what tragedy Christ warns us will occur when these sensationalist blasphemous people were drawn to Christianity like Simon the Sorcerer for one thing, desiring to have something of power in this circle, to impress the crowds, you see, concerning his ministry and his life, the great sin of pride extends right into Christianity to those who want to draw attention to themselves with the power and authority of demonic forces that is in the name of Christ, but oh, the tragedy, the tragic result of these sensationalist blasphemous ministry Christ tells us of, Christ warns us of in Matthew 12 verse 43, he warns us when the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places seeking rest and findeth none, finding none, then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out, and when he has come, he findeth it empty, swept and garnished, then goeth he and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first, oh, the tragedy of these multitudes, how many, many, you want a staggering study of the word many, because iniquity shall abound the love of many, the most, who gather under the banner of Christianity in the last evil days, will excal it, this word many is a staggeringly unique word, the most who stand under the banner of Christianity wielding the sword, wielding for power, oh be careful Simon the sorcerer, your motives, what you're doing in Christianity, and be careful of the tragic fruits of the lives you destroy, though you go in the name of Jesus Christ, many, who say to me in that day, have we not cast out devils in my name? Christ didn't say no, you didn't, and that is staggering, you see these men lacked experiential knowledge of regeneration, of the new birth, and therefore they were unable to lead these souls to Christ, and that is why across the entire world so many people who profess to have been demonically possessed, and delivered by the power and authority that's in Jesus Christ's name in the church, eventually they return back to their evil ways, to worse states than they were, and oh the shame that comes upon Christianity in the name of Jesus Christ, through these evil, sensationalist, blasphemous ministry, these were the toy things, the play toys of sensationalists, and they destroy them, who will never, I believe, seek God again, they're so messed mentally and spiritually, by people across our world who cast out devils in Jesus Christ's name, otherwise Christ was speaking folly in saying this could happen if you say it can't, and we, we must also beware today of the danger of demonically possessed people, we must also beware today of the danger of demonically possessed people being embraced and exalted in many so-called Christian circles, because of manifestations, and revelations, and prophetic utterances, let me repeat that, we must be careful today of the danger of demonically possessed people being embraced and exalted in many so-called Christian circles, because of manifestations, revelations, prophetic utterances, Acts 16 verse 16, and it came to pass as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with the spirit of divination met us, which brought her master's much gain by soothsaying, by fortune-telling, the same followed Paul and us, and cried saying, these men are the servants of the Most High God, which show unto us the way of salvation, these men are the servants of the Most High God, which show unto us the way of salvation, and this did she many days, but Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her, and he came out the same hour, beloved, not everyone that opens their mouths with manifestations, revelations, and prophetic utterances is of God, not everyone that opens their mouths with manifestations, revelations, and prophetic utterances, in many so-called Christian circles, are of God, beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they're of God, 1 John 4 verse 1, do we, or do we accept anyone that demonstrates the sensational, because that's all we're interested in ourselves, no matter what they are about, and therefore we have no discernment at all, Matthew 12 verse 22, Matthew 12 verse 22, Then was brought unto him one possessed with the devil, the demon blind and dumb, and he healed him in so much that the blind and dumb both spake and saw, and all the people were amazed, and said, is not this the son of David, is not this the son of David, but when the Pharisees heard it, when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fellow doth not cast out devils, this fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils, and Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, every kingdom, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand, and if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself, how then shall his kingdom stand, and if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out, therefore they shall be your judges, but if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you, or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house, here Christ soberly considered Satan's hold on this world, here again the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, in a moment of time, Luke adds in chapter four verse five, and saith unto him, all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me, all these things will I give thee, for that is delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will, I give it, the whole world lieth in wickedness, 1 John 5 verse 19, literally the whole world lieth in the hands of the wicked one, and 2 Corinthians 4 verse 3 refers to Satan as the god of this world, 2 Corinthians 4 verse 3 refers to Satan as the god of this world, and the prince of this world, that's the rule of this world, John 14 verse 30, so Christ soberly considered Satan's hold on this world, when he said, how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3 verse 8, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil, that through death he might destroy him, that through death he might destroy him, that at the power of death, that is the devil, Hebrews 2 verse 14, that through death he might destroy him, through death, even the death of the cross, Philippians 2 verse 8, he might destroy him, in John 12 verse 31, as Jesus faced imminent death on the cross, as Jesus faced imminent death on the cross, he solemnly declared, now is the judgment of this world, now shall the prince of this world be cast out, and I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me, now is the judgment of this world, beloved the judgment of this world will not take place at the great white throne, spoken of in Revelation chapter 20 verse 11, the judgment of this world will not take place at the great white throne, spoken of in Revelation 20 verse 11, the judgment of this world was hurled upon Christ, as he hung upon the cross, that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for every man, Hebrews 2 verse 9, who will have all men to be saved, who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2 verse 4, he was wounded sir, for my transgressions and yours, all we like sheep have gone astray, we've turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all, Isaiah 53 verse 7, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, 2 Corinthians 5 verse 19, they overcame him, the devil, by the blood of the land, you see the blood of Jesus Christ, God's son, cleanses us from all sin, being justified freely by grace through faith in his blood, Romans 3 verse 13, they overcame him, that is the devil, by the blood, because of the blood, beloved, you see, Paul was sent by Christ, in Matthew 26 verse 17, to the Gentiles, why? To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, hallelujah, that's the gospel, Romans 1 verse 16, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them, in Colossians 2 verse 15, you see, how can one enter into a strong man's house, Christ asked, speaking of Satan, and this world, and his hold on it, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house, and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2 verse 15, through the cross, he might destroy him, and he did, oh wait now, that's not the end of the story, that was just really the beginning of the full revelation of what God had in mind, in this world, to destroy Satan, and his power, and hold over men, but if our gospel be hid, 2 Corinthians 3 verse 8, if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them, you see, this is when the judgment on the cross, that he faced and tasted for all men, this is when that cross and that judgment is passed by, and we find the great white throne of Revelation 20 verse 11, men will now face this judgment, why? 2 Thessalonians 1 verse 9, he will return in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, he will return in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power, 1 John 3 verse 8, he that commiteth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinners from the beginning, what does that mean? One has to look in the light of all scriptures, but just in the light of the rest of that, I quoted 1 John years ago in America, go get it from the websites to understand the full revelation of that, he that commiteth sin, that continues in its context, immediate context, pursuing sin, practicing a life of sin, pursuing his sin, after he's heard the gospel, in his context, he that committeth sin goes on pursuing it, he's of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil, whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God, in this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil, in this, tell me does the Bible matter to you, or does it offend you? You'd rather go somewhere and get your ears tickled with sensational emotional rubbish and trash and entertainment, but to hear this, tell me does it offend you? I want to ask every one of you, does God's word offend you? I want to tell you who's offending you, not me, in my base week delivery, you were offended at God, if you're offended at that word, and I'm not interested in much left, I've got too little time left to give anybody anything but God's word, because nothing matters other than God's word, and it's time to bring it back to the pulpit of God in this world, it's lost, it's fearful, and it sickens and enrages and insults people who say they're saved, because they don't mind every bit of entertainment that speaks some sentimental garbage about Jesus, but tell them this, tell them this, 1 John 5 verse 18, we know that whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God, it is staggering what God says here, we know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, I love that, do you? Keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not, does he? Well doesn't that matter, young man? Answer God, what are you doing here if it isn't for God, and what are you doing here if you don't want God's word? He that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Job 1 verse 6, now there was a day, there was a day when the sons of God, the angels, came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them, and the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it, and the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that escheweth evil, he hates evil? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, Does Job fear God? For not, hast thou not made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased to the land, but put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee, he will curse thee to thy face, and the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power, all that he hath is in thy power, only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord, and it is beyond my comprehension how God could have tolerated this evil, wicked being to bring such devastation and tragedy and sorrow upon this godly man, to try and destroy his faith, and his love for God, and his trust in God, but this is why God made this the first written book of the Bible, before Genesis was written, this was it. This is why this book is the longest single book on any particular person, life in the entire Bible apart from Jesus himself. This verse, verse 22, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, he didn't accuse God of doing any wrong. Oh Satan, demons must have hurled back screaming into the, in shock, in shock of what he thought he could do to destroy this man's faith in God, but it didn't work. You see beloved, God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted, that's tested in his grief, above that you're able to bear. I hope you believe that, he will never suffer you to be tempted above that you're able to bear. Satan is totally restricted, don't you dare believe he isn't when it comes to you, but everything must be tested, that's the whole point of this earth, the testing ground, to sift out the hearts of men, to see what's in thy heart, no matter who you are. 1 Peter, chapter 5, verse 8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist, stand fast in the faith, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4, verse 7, Neither give place to the devil, Ephesians 3, verse 17, Neither give place to the devil, greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world, beloved. Don't doubt that now, you will never ever be suffered to be tempted by Satan, above that God knows you are able to bear, and Satan will not be able to do anything further, than what God knows you can bear and survive. Resist the devil though, and he will flee from you. Ephesians 6, verse 10, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might, put on the whole armor of God. I hope you've learned that. The godliest people I've ever known in my life across this world, without sharing notes, every day of their life, as they get out of bed, read that chapter, and ask God to assist them to do it, before they walk out of the door. Have you? Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, against the attacks of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked. Or did God lie saying that, sir? Will you ever rise up to proving? Above all, taking the shield of faith in this God, and in his promises, and his instructions, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints, and the God of peace shall bruise satan under your feet shortly. Romans 16 verse 20. The God of peace, Christian, shall bruise, crush satan through you and me under your feet shortly. A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing. Our helper he amidst the flood of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe. His craft and power is great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal. Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing, were not the right man at our side, the man of God's own choosing? Thus ask who that may be, Christ Jesus, it is he. Lord, saboth his name from age to age the same, and he must win the battle. And though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us, we will not fear for God hath willed his truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him, his rage we can endure. For lo, his doom is sure, one little word can fell him. That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them abideth. The spirit and the gifts are ours, through him who with us sideth, let goods and kindred go. For this mortal life, also the body they may kill, God's truth abideth still, his kingdom is forever. I preach the sermon here on the second coming of the Lord Jesus, which had over 400 verses that I and the last passages dealt with revelation of Satan, Armageddon, his anger and hatred of the church, setting up the Antichrist, the beast, and how eventually God will prevail and cast him into the bottomless pit for a thousand years, and then he will stand again to do the first thing he was allowed to do in the first place, attempt to see truly what is in the heart of man, that of free will man can choose evil or good. Now Satan will be cast into the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death, and every name not found in the written in the book of life which cast into that same lake, but that in itself was over 400 verses. So, Satan then, you can look up in all these internets and websites of that sermon that I gave, otherwise we would be here very late tonight. I'm going to ask every one of you something very staggering here. If you're unsaved and Satan has messed your life up with so much evil, you need to seek God to save your soul tonight, and he will. He will in no wise turn away anyone that comes to him through Christ Jesus. How can he when he takes the death for every man? How can he turn you away if you come with nothing but the blood of Jesus? And you Christians, I'm going to ask you an even more staggering thing here tonight. Stop being superficial. Go to the world with this, and for God's sake go back to the church with this, and nothing else, nothing else. For God's sake, get back to the word, because most Christians will never hear anything about Satan again in their lives as you've heard tonight across this whole world from the pulpits of the evangelical church who are in such a state. Or do you disagree? That's not judgmental. That's said with a broken heart. That's not judgmental. Can we stand please?
