Exodus 18:1 Summary
This verse tells us that Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, heard about the amazing things God had done for Moses and the people of Israel, including freeing them from slavery in Egypt. Jethro was so interested in this that he decided to visit Moses, showing that he wanted to learn more about the God of Israel (as seen in the following verses). This reminds us that God's work in our lives is not just for us, but can also be a blessing to those around us, as we see in Exodus 14:31. Just like Jethro, we can learn more about God by listening to the stories of how He has worked in the lives of others (Psalm 107:2).
