he made, &c.] He declared or appointed Solomon to be king.

Moses] Though Moses were a prince, Acts 7:35. and in stead of God to Aaron, Exodus 4:16. yet Moses his sons were inferiour to Aaron’s; for they were but ordinary Levites, chap. 26. 24, 25.

keep the charge] Well observe the Ordinances of the tabernacle.

holy place] Or, holy things.

the charge] That which the priests shall require of them.
