Keith Daniel

Keith Daniel (1946 - 2021). South African evangelist and Bible teacher born in Cape Town to Jack, a businessman and World War II veteran, and Maud. Raised in a troubled home marked by his father’s alcoholism, he ran away as a teen, facing family strife until his brother Dudley’s conversion in the 1960s sparked his own at 20. Called to ministry soon after, he studied at Glenvar Bible College, memorizing vast Scripture passages, a hallmark of his preaching. Joining the African Evangelistic Band, he traveled across South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and made over 20 North American tours, speaking at churches, schools, and IBLP Family Conferences. Daniel’s sermons, like his recitation of the Sermon on the Mount, emphasized holiness, repentance, and Scripture’s authority. Married to Jenny le Roux in 1978, a godly woman 12 years his junior, they had children, including Roy, and ministered together. He authored no books but recorded 200 video sermons, now shared online. His uncompromising style, blending conviction and empathy, influenced thousands globally.

Thank you, Clark, for that special number this morning. Well, it's so good to have everybody here this morning. We're blessed to have Brother Keith Daniel, minister of the Word of God, faithful in presenting the Word. If you haven't heard him, I'm sure you'll be blessed here this morning. Evangelist Keith Daniel, the Word bless you as you come and minister. Thank you, thank you. Can we bow for a moment of prayer, please? Father, thank Thee for this privilege Thou has given me to be here with such choice servants as these dear, dear people are. The ones I've got to know, young and old, and especially the dear pastor and his wife, we thank Thee for them. Thank You for the joy of being able to come this corner of the vineyard and the privilege. I am deeply grateful. Come, therefore, Lord, wash me in the blood of Christ, afresh, that I might, in Thy mercy, be used of God by grace, all because of the blood. Wash me through and through, and anoint and unctionize and fill with Thy Holy Spirit, and take Thy Word and speak to the depth of every heart as only God can, for without Thee we can do nothing. So our expectation is in Thee and Thee only, not in preachers or in ourselves. Come, Thou, and speak to our hearts by the working of the Holy Ghost through this, Thy sacred book. In Christ Jesus' name, for His glory, we all unitedly ask these things of Thee, our Father in heaven. Amen. The Bible. The Bible refers to itself as the Word of God. The Bible refers to itself as the Word of God. In Hebrews 6 verse 5. And in 2 Timothy 3 verse 16 we read that all Scripture, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God for instructing, for instruction in righteousness. Verse 17, that the man of God may be complete, that the man of God may be complete and thoroughly equipped, thoroughly equipped. Now, today, I want us to carefully consider 16 facets, 16 facets of this book, which is the sacred Word of God. The first thing we must realize, the first thing we must realize is that it is the source of our salvation. It is the source of our salvation. James tells us in chapter 1 verse 21, to receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls, being born again by the Word of God. 1 Peter 1 verse 23 and in 2 Timothy 3 verse 15, Paul refers to the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. For by grace are you saved through faith. Ephesians 2 verse 8 and faith cometh by the Word of God. Romans 10 verse 17. And so firstly, firstly, we see that it is the source of our salvation. But secondly, the keeping of it is the evidence that I am truly saved. The keeping of it is the evidence that I am truly saved. Be ye doers of the Word, not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James warned in chapter 1 verse 22. Hereby we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. He that sayeth I know him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2 verse 3. 1 Peter 2 verse 23 says being born again, not of corruptible seed, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the Word of God. Now the seed is the Word of God, Jesus said in Luke 8 verse 11. But in the next verse he gave a fearful warning. Then cometh the devil and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. O soul, whatever the devil does, whoever the devil uses, be careful what you do when you hear or read the Word of God. For we are warned that it will one day judge us. It will one day judge us. In John 12 verse 18, Christ declared he that rejecteth me and receiveth not my word, hath one that judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last days. Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed. Proverbs 13 verse 13. And so firstly, firstly, we see that it is the source of our salvation. But secondly, that the keeping of it, the keeping of it is the evidence that we have been truly saved. And thirdly, the rejecting of it will result in us to one day be judged by it. But if and when I am truly saved, if and when I am truly saved, it it immediately becomes my source of spiritual growth. It immediately becomes my source of spiritual growth. 1 Peter 2 verse 2 says, as newborn babes, as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word. That he may grow thereby. Beloved, this book is the source of our salvation and the keeping of it. The keeping of it is the evidence that I am truly saved. But the rejecting of it will result in us to one day be judged by it. But if and when I am truly saved, it immediately becomes my source of spiritual growth. And fifthly, it is our source of daily renewal. It is our source of daily renewal. In 2 Corinthians 4 verse 16 we read that the inward man, the inward man is renewed day by day, morning by morning, morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear. Isaiah 50 verse 4, to be strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man. Ephesians 3 verse 16 tells us the inward man is renewed day by day. It is our source of daily renewal, beloved. And it ultimately becomes our source of survival. It ultimately becomes our source of survival. Man doth not live. Literally, man cannot live by bread only, by eating food only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. Deuteronomy 8 verse 3, I, I have esteemed the word of his mouth. I have esteemed the word of his mouth more than my necessary food. Job 23 verse 12, it ultimately is our source of survival. Now the seventh vital facet, the seventh vital facet we must realize, we must realize is that it is given life and revelation by the Holy Spirit. It is given life and revelation by the Holy Spirit at salvation. At salvation, the Holy Spirit of God possesses me. At salvation, the Holy Spirit of God possesses me. Ye are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwelleth in you. 1 Corinthians 6 verse 19, Christ in you is the hope of glory. You have no hope of eternal life. Christ is in you. Colossians 1 verse 27, but if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8 verse 9, and from the moment from the moment of our salvation, the word of God is given life. The word of God is given revelation and life by the Holy Spirit who now dwells in us from the moment of our salvation. The word of God is given revelation and life by the Holy Spirit who now dwells in us. But the natural man, that's the unsaved, unregenerate man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him. They're meaningless to him. Neither can he know them. He can't understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2 verse 14 tells us for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 2 Corinthians 3 verse 6 in Luke in Luke chapter 24, Christ appeared to two of his sorrowing disciples on the Emmaus road and verse 27 beginning at Moses, beginning at Moses and all the prophets. That's virtually the whole Old Testament. He expounded unto them in all the scripture the things concerning himself. Then suddenly, verse 31, he vanished out of their sight. Verse 32 and they said one to another, did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us by the way and while he opened to us the scriptures and Christ promised his disciples and us that the Holy Spirit when he is come would do the same. John 14 verse 26, he shall teach you, he shall teach you all things. But without this Holy Spirit, without the Holy Spirit, this book is dead. 2 Corinthians 3 verse 6, the letter, the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. God says of the sacred book, the psalmist prayed, the psalmist prayed, open thou mine eyes. The Hebrew says, give revelation, literally give revelation, open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119 verse 18, then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scripture. Luke 24 verse 45, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened. Ephesians 1 verse 18, that our God may lighten our eyes, literally open our eyes. Ezra 7 verse 8, those disciples had cried, did not our hearts burn within us while, while he opened to us the scriptures and our hearts will burn within us also beloved as the Holy Spirit of God opens the word of God to us daily. Our hearts will burn within us also beloved as the Holy Spirit of God opens the word of God to us daily. But how tragic it would be if a Christian sits before an open Bible and like a blind man sees nothing. How tragic it would be if a Christian sits before an open Bible and like a blind man sees nothing to give him a burning heart daily. Oh Christian, beware for the neglect of this book is the first evidence that I am in the tragic process of backsliding. I want to repeat that. Beware for the neglect of this book is the first evidence that I am in the tragic process of backsliding. The first indication that you have backslidden is if you lose appetite for the scriptures. But instead your appetite increases more and more for things that are not related to God or his word. But these things will leave you empty spiritually. These things will leave you empty spiritually and even in laughter you will experience that even in laughter the heart is sorrowful. That's tragic. You're pretending to yourself you're enjoying it but your heart is sorrowing if you try and find fulfillment in other things. Even in laughter the heart will be sorrowful. Proverbs 4 verse 13 warns. Who's he speaking of? The next verse tells us sadly but clearly the backslider in heart. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful. Be careful here. It is a hundred times more difficult to find a relationship with God that's real if you're backslidden than for a pervert or a drunk when he comes to God the first time. Don't go that way please. I beg you child of God be careful. Beloved the word of God is the source of our salvation and the keeping of it is the evidence that I am truly saved but the rejecting of it will result in us to one day be judged by it. Once I am truly saved it immediately becomes my source of spiritual growth and our source of daily renewal. It ultimately becomes our source of survival. It is given life and revelation by the Holy Spirit who now dwells in us but the neglect of it is the first evidence that I am in the dangerous and tragic process of backsliding. It is also our moral compass. It is also our moral compass. In John 17 verse 15 Jesus prayed Father I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. Verse 17 sanctify them keep them from the evil through thy truth thy word thy word is truth. Beloved this is our moral compass wherewith also the young man cleanse his way by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalm 119 verse 9 wherewith also the young man cleanse his way. My son said that to me when he was a boy. How am I going to stay clean daddy? He started weeping. Daddy you don't know what I'm facing. Everywhere I want to look for good friends. Even amongst preachers children daddy it's just sin. Held out. This world is so wicked. Daddy how am I going to stay pure? I want to. I said listen my boy and never forget till the day you die now what daddy's are going to say to you. Choke yourself in the word of God. It's the greatest discipline in your life daily. The most nurtured guarded treasured moment that Satan or man won't keep you from and you will find it possible when you put God first this book is first. My boy do that and the devil can't touch you. He'll tempt you but he can't touch you boy. Wherewith also the young how am I going to stay clean daddy? Cleanse his way by taking this book taking heed as you read it. Seeking to be equipped daily to walk with God. Thy word have I hid within my heart that I might not sin against thee. Oh God. Verse 11 says it is our moral compass beloved. Sin will keep me from the Bible but the Bible will keep me from sin. That was a word to me when I was a young Christian. Plays for God standing with a professor that is so loved. Lectures in Oxford theological circle and some of your great universities. His writings in all the documents today revered. He's dead now but oh when I was younger I was in awe of him as he came to speak there in Leicester and I saw my fire. He looked at me. He said listen carefully Keith the only words I ever found myself able to write and add within the covers of the sacred book. Outside of which I couldn't write another thing. Show me. Let me show you. He opened the front of his Bible here with these childlike words. A professor revered across the theological academic world. Sin will keep me from the Bible but the Bible will keep me from sin. I wrote it immediately in my Bible and I have since found that there are multitudes across the world that have written it in front of their Bibles. It is our moral compass. It is our moral compass. It is also the means by which the Holy Spirit cleanses us from all wrong influences we face in the sinful world daily. We read in Ephesians 5 25 that Christ loved the church and gave himself for it that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word by the word. It is the means by which the Holy Spirit cleanses us beloved from all wrong influences we face in this sinful world daily. The blood cleanses us from sin but we are cleansed from the world's wrong and warped influences with the washing of the water by the word daily. It also fortifies. It fortifies and keeps my mind from vain worthless thoughts. It fortifies and keeps my mind from vain worthless thoughts and from thoughts of evil. I hate vain thoughts. That's wrong worthless thoughts but I love thy law. Psalm 119 verse 130 I hate vain thoughts but I love thy law. A very godly young man in Africa a missionary was sitting with me over a meal. Oh he's godly. He said to me Sir the Bible keeps our minds off things that don't matter. Onto God's values onto God's priorities. I hate vain thoughts worthless wrongful but I love thy law. Psalm 119 verse 130 the thought of foolishness is sin. The thought of foolishness is sin. Proverbs 25 verse 9 for as he thinketh in his heart so is he bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5 you can or God wouldn't tell us to. He can unmock us. He's holy. His integrity would never ask anything of you that you won't receive the grace to perform. You can bring every thought. The thought of foolishness is sin. As he thinketh in his heart so is he. You see there's thoughts of evil and there are evil thoughts. They're very different. A thought of evil every one of you has. The godliest man that ever lived will tell you he has thoughts of evil. That's not sin. You don't have to confess. You see memory isn't sin. If you walk down the street and see something you didn't want to see God knows and if your memory recalls it the old devil says what are you thinking about that for? No. You bring it into captivity before it becomes an evil thought. A thought of evil we all have because of memory and the past experiences in our lives but it's not sin. You're bringing into captivity every thought. You can young man. You can. You've got to want God's grace though enough for God to do it but he will. He's obliged. You say that's sacrilege. Rubbish. It's sacrilege to not believe that God's obliged to give you the grace to fulfill and perform his commandments when we want to. Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. You can immediately before it becomes an evil thought. Don't think on. Just bring it into captivity. God I didn't want to think this. It is the Bible Beloved it is the Bible that fortifies and keeps my mind as nothing else. You can look at a thousand Christian films today as good as Hollywood and they're getting as good as Hollywood I believe. It won't do for you what one hour with this book will do along with God. It is the Bible that fortifies and keeps my mind from vain thoughts worthless thoughts and from thoughts of evil. It also becomes it also becomes our source of safe navigation safe navigation order my steps in your word. Psalm 119 verse 133 literally direct my steps God by means of your word I'm seeking guidance. It's our source of safe navigation. Word is a lamp unto my feet a light unto my path in this dark world. It's our source of safe navigation beloved Jesus savior pilot me over life's tempestuous sea unknown waves before me roll hiding rocks treacherous salt chart and compass come from thee Jesus savior pilot me all of my steps in your word. It is our source of safe navigation beloved. I was in a restaurant for multi-billionaires. Have you ever been in a restaurant for well at least I thought they must be multi-billionaires. The chandeliers and oh the waitresses themselves look like the queen let alone serving the queen. And here I am now going with these dear people to this very exclusive place that very rich people obviously would go. And of course they've got brains these people. To get into the restaurant from where the parking area you come into the beautiful building. You're going to walk through a room about this size. And in it are beautiful articles from all over the world very expensive. Someone like me just looks and says oh that's nice but you just turn around you know you can't afford that. And so to get in that restaurant and they know rich people will come to afford that meal. They're going to go past all these wonderful things. Then I saw a little sign board on one of the walls with all these lovely articles. And it said there this will give you the power to see in pitch dark. I walked up and that's interesting. So what is it? It's a little cap. You know these children today they put caps the wrong way around. But anyway here it is. Now there's this cap and on it are two little LED lights. Don't know where the batteries are but somewhere in there. This will give you the power to walk safely in pitch dark. To know where you're going and to be safe. I thought to myself rubbish. The word of God does that. Yes it was a lamp under my feet a light under my path. Beloved by his light I walked through darkness. Job 29 verse 3 and the instructions it contains are the men of my counsel. Without counsel purposes are disappointed. You plans go wrong you make mistakes without counsel purposes are disappointed. But in the multitude of counselors they are established you're safe. Proverbs 15 verse 22 in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 11 verse 14. Thy testimonies that's God's commandments and instructions are my counselors. Psalm 119 verse 24. The Hebrew literally they are the men of my counsel. Moffat translates this verse. They are my advisors. Most Christians beloved are forever running to man for counsel advice guidance. But beloved there's a greater safety in the instruction of God's word. The men of my counsel are the commandments the promises the warnings the instructions contained and strewn throughout this holy book. And when many of them give me the same counsel I embrace them as God's leading. His direction for my life in every crisis in every moment where I have to lean on God for guidance. For in the multitude of counselors there is safety. The instructions it contains are the men of my counsel. This book is not just a book it's God's words it's living. It was protected don't think God lost control let man choose to the canonizing the canonization of the books that were divinely inspired even the order. And beloved if you are real with God you're real with your quiet time nothing disturbs that nothing diverts that nothing makes you hurry because there's nothing to hurry to because the more you soak yourself in the word of God the more you love it. There's nothing the devil can give them Hollywood or technical that could draw you away from it. There's nothing you can do when God's first this book is first. Nothing gives you more delight and beloved if you want to know the sovereignty of God that word sovereignty I'm scared of because of the abuse of it in certain circles that blame God for men's sins and choices. Wait I love the word sovereignty because if you're pursuing God with your heart with your free will that God gave you and you are pursuing him in reality this book and the time with God is so real and undisturbed undiverted from and the sovereignty of God is proven to me that in any circumstance and crisis I faced in life just where I'm reading not like a lucky packet you can make some real mistakes is suddenly in crisis moments looking for some promise you could get promises that aren't from God or guidance but if you're real and you're as real as your quiet time is real and your quiet time is as real as this book is soaked daily unhurriedly and I found it's like God just sitting opposite me exactly what I need to know and then I he confirms it just where I am at not jumping around because it's consistent drawing from God seeking his voice every day I open it his heart his directions his protection his moral defense every single thing and suddenly it's the word of God the men of my council Hebrew they are the men that I go to not other men when there are many councils in the multitude of councils when many of them confirm I don't believe God's going to mock me by believing and stepping out in faith it's not just an ordinary book you dare not believe that you dare not believe man was in it of course God may but if you think for a moment God lost control with his a mistake in the order of it oh you're in trouble no matter how dark and confused this world becomes don't you ever doubt that this is divinely inspired to the very last word the first to the loss is divinely inspired for you and for me the instructions it contains all the men the men of my council Psalm 119 verse 24 and this sacred book contains the prayers that I need to pray to survive this sacred book contains the prayers that I need to pray to survive when my heart is crushed wounded overwhelmed does that ever happen to me oh yes oh yes but this sacred book contains the prayers that I need to pray to survive when my heart is crushed and wounded and overwhelmed and I become weary and am no longer able to pray in faith Martin Luther testified of how during the Reformation all hell came against him I don't doubt that and he became so weary and fearful that there were times he couldn't pray he is numb from weariness it was then he said God led him to pray the Psalms out aloud and he found that through this discipline he swiftly he swiftly sensed that he had entered into the presence of God in a way he had never known in his entire saved life he had entered into the presence of God and he experienced his faith being renewed as he prayed these God given prayers you see the Psalms alone beloved 90% about 80% of them they start in agony of the wounds the injustices the cruelties the wrongs that I'm facing and then they commit halfway through the prayer everyone committing to God everything looking to God to intervene and then ending in praise oh Luther said it's a school book and a prayer in prayer in the word of God he found he entered do you know Luther said he was so stunned after a few Psalms that for the rest of his life most of his prayer life almost entirely he said was just praying the prayers that are in the Bible and he was into the presence of God and lifted up into faith not only the Psalms throughout the Bible there are prayers they're there for you and me as you soak yourself from cover to cover 500 times a thousand times if you haven't what have you been doing what did you do in life if you think that's impossible it's impossible not to have done that if you saved 30 40 50 years like me it's impossible unless you just buried God daily oh it contains the prayers that I need to pray to survive when my heart is crushed wounded overwhelmed and I become weary and I'm no longer able to pray in faith but wait now it also tests our faith it also tests our faith the promises contained in the sacred book test our faith beloved we read in Psalm 105 verse 17 that Joseph was cruelly sold by his brothers as a servant that is he was sold into slavery verse 18 whose feet whose feet they hurt with fetters of chains and he was laid in iron he was laid in iron you know literally the Hebrew says his soul entered into the iron he suffered so much in the furnace of affliction the Bible speaks of Isaiah 41 10 until verse 19 says until the time that his word came came to pass the promises until the time that his word came the word of the Lord tried him tested him tested his faith until the time that his word came to pass the word that God had given him the promises God tried him tested him it tests our faith beloved but if my faith is ever put to the test if my faith is ever put to the test it it installs hope comfort courage healing within me to endure through God's compassionate and precious promises which are strewn across the sacred pages beloved oh beloved Job had no Bible and he cried my days are spent without hope Job said he had no Bible you see this is the first book according to every scholar that has any academic understanding before Moses was even born before God gave revelation to Moses of the creation the law the commandments and the judgments of course there was writings from Adam don't believe it only started passed on generation upon generation but the first book that was canonized as part of the divinely inspired word of God for this book before any other book in the Bible the book of Job was written and Job had no Bible and he cried my days are spent without hope but we we beloved we cry although my soul melteth for heaviness and faintest for thy salvation I hope in thy word Psalm 119 verse 81 David was greatly distressed 1 Samuel 30 verse 6 but then we read but David encouraged himself in the Lord David encouraged himself in the Lord in the multitude of my thoughts he said within me thy comforts delight my soul Psalm 94 verse 19 this is my comfort in my affliction thy word thy word Psalm 119 verse 49 Psalm 107 verse 20 tells us he sent forth his healing word his healing word but unless thy law had been my delights I should then have perished in my affliction unless thy law had been my delights I should then have perished in my affliction Psalm 119 verse 92 that we through patience and comfort of the scripture might have hope Romans 15 verse 4 that we through patience endurance and comfort of the scriptures might have hope Romans 15 verse 4 Hebrews 1133 tells us of men and women who through faith obtained promises and out of weakness were made strong men and women who through faith obtained promises from God and out of weakness were made strong now beloved the Bible has many other facets and I'll preach on them one of these days but today we have considered 16 of its vital facets firstly it is the source it is the source of our salvation secondly the keeping of it is the evidence that I am truly saved but thirdly the rejecting of it will result in us to one day be judged by it and fourthly once I am truly saved it immediately becomes my source of spiritual growth Fifthly our source of daily renewal Sixthly it ultimately becomes our source of survival Seventhly it is given life and revelation by the Holy Spirit who now dwells in us but Eighthly the neglect of it is the first evidence that I am in the dangerous and tragic process of backsliding Ninthly it is our moral compass Tenthly it is the means by which the Holy Spirit cleanses us from all the world's evil influences that we face in this sinful world daily Eleven it also fortifies and keeps my mind from vain worthless thoughts and from thoughts of evil Twelve it also becomes our source of safe navigation and Thirteen the instructions it contains are the men of my council Fourteen it contains the prayers that I need to pray to survive when my heart is crushed or wounded or overwhelmed and I become weary and I'm no longer able to pray in faith Fifteen it also tests our faith Our faith is tested by it Sixteen but while my faith is being put to the test it installs hope comfort and courage to endure through the precious promises which are strewn across its sacred pages for my survival Seek ye the Lord seek ye out of the book of the Lord We read in Isaiah 34 verse 16 I rejoice at thy word as one that findeth great spoil Psalm 119 verse 162 I rejoice at thy word as one that findeth great spoil great treasures you know that the old days they go into the cave there's gold and diamonds and rubies and whoa that's nothing I rejoice as one that findeth great treasure in this book that's eternal value blessed is the man that delighteth greatly in his commandments Psalm 112 verse 1 concerning the works of men by the word I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer Psalm 17 verse 4 concerning the works of men I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer by the word by the word I was in Denver last year a very beautiful home as they were going to take me early to the airport to fly to the next state on this 12 week tour I do every year 32nd tour of your country but in this lovely home with these godly people on the wall I saw a little plaque and written on it were very staggering words who is he who will devote himself to be close to me declares the Lord I looked at it who is he who will devote himself there's something there an act of dedication to be close to the Lord for what's left of life let me guarantee every one of you there's one way that's possible and that's if this book becomes first in your life as a Christian God is first and this book is first I'm not asking you to worship the word of God that's obnoxious because I've only given you the word of God what it says about itself and what we have to do and understand it no I'm asking you not to worship this book and serve it no and be dedicated but it is the means by which I devote myself for the rest of my life there's an act of decision here a decisive dedication required if it's not the case in your life who is he that will do this that will devote himself what's left of life there's an act of dedication here for what's left of life to do what I know now I should have done should you see sir all the sins we ask God for forgiveness for there are reasons but the main reason is the neglect of this book when it isn't you have to ask God for forgiveness for the sin that caused all these other sins that you're always crawling about and then to ask him for the grace for the rest left of your life to never neglect this book again and let me guarantee you you can do that I don't care what your circumstances are you can do that young man young lady who is he that will devote himself to be close to me for what's left of life declares the Lord this brief little moment that you only have one moment in eternity to walk with God don't waste it on rubbish is that a harsh word what would you actually like to term it if it keeps you from God's word that you have no time for God things you don't need to do I'm not asking you to put aside things you need to do that common sense and conscience tell you you have to do this but I'm asking you from my soul to redeem what's left of time daily redeem it don't waste it where you have a choice you choose this and you don't have to find that hard because the more you read the more you want to read until you find as you're reading on and on and on young man you'll be crying out the words by an island prevent the night watchers they want to close but I can know I want more the more you read the more you want give it a chance try it put God first redeem the time don't do things that are necessary that are going to make any difference choose rather to flee to this book give God time who is he that will say to God I haven't done that Lord I've allowed things to crowd in and I'm in quite a state in the dangerous process of backsliding because of it the neglect of it who is he that needs to ask God for forgiveness cleansing for that great sin that causes all the others who is he that will say what's left God by the grace of God alone and I'm asking for it from my soul today what's left of life every day without exception now God I'm not going to neglect that book again that I can walk with God and stay close to the is more important than becoming the president of the that's not a privilege who is he that will seek God for that who is he that wants God enough to be close to God that he says I'm going to take what's left I need cleansing in the blood for neglecting it because that's the sin that caused the other and I need to cry out for God's grace that from this day from my heart I will do everything by the grace of God to never neglect this book again every day to the day I die who is he that would devote himself to such a life those of you that desperately need to do this and this is going to cost you but it's going to cost you a billion zillion times more sorrow if you don't because what you don't do immediately when God speaking to you you're not going to do again I doubt it no matter what God does it doesn't mean it's a step closer no it's a step where your heart is hardened a bit more against the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit saying to you listen carefully who is he in this building that would devote himself to be close to God to me God said those of you that desperately need that and that God desperately requires of you now desperately need to seek God with that prayer and seeking that grace for the rest of your life what's left of it the brief moment I want you to stand now those of you that desperately need this and I will pray for those that stand I'm only asking once and that's your choice yes only for God not for men only those of you standing come let's stand in the front here come to the front let's make something sacred not just a fleeting moment of such a choice let's do something here only do this if it's for God please or you will grieve heaven if you don't mean this so rather sit if you don't mean it from your soul can we stand you can't kneel there's no altar but it's not the position it's the heart that God's looking at you can be in your face not be so humbled before God is standing God looks at the heart always so here we are a moment just one moment that could change your life and stagger the powers of hell every step you take from this day to the day you die so this is precious just keep coming closer we want people closer here just come a little bit closer come let's make something sacred here something holy on holy ground that you tremble you're to do with God you're not man not something everyone everyone standing in the front here will you bow your heads and those out there pray for them while we're praying but every one of us in the front please bow your heads and pray after me and don't doubt it God isn't going to turn away his face because I'm leading you in prayer no God does not look at the words that proceed out of the mouth God look at the heart from whence they come now if he sees that this is the best you can do even if another man's leading you in prayer don't doubt it God isn't going to turn his face away from what he wants more than you ever wanted of your life don't believe that of a holy God who died for you and wants your life not just a moment of faith and then give take back everything no show all of us standing in God's eyes God's heart and I believe this is thrilled and filled God in heaven with joy to see just so many seeking the Lord here will you pray after me please from your heart though not for each other just for God will you pray a lot Oh God I humble myself before thee in thy sight longing for thee to meet with me here and to lift me up to reality in my walk with thee I ask thee for forgiveness from the depth of my soul for every sin that I have committed that is unconfessed uncleansed that I in my baseness and unworthiness overlooked I want a fresh clean start a clean plate by the blood of Jesus Christ God's Son that cleanses us Christians from all sin if we confess it and repent of it and seek grace to not return to it forgive me for the greatest sin of neglecting thy word for in doing that I put God aside and put other things in first place that were not necessary or edifying to my heart my walk with God let the blood go deeper wash me through and through and through and through create in me a clean heart Oh God and renew a right spirit within me the grace to live in obedience in the light I've been given I'm not asking thee for sinless perfection but as I walk in the light as he is in the light the blood of Jesus Christ God's Son continually cleanses me from sins committed in ignorance to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is sin but Lord I need as I walk in victory in the light thou hast given me by the grace of God cleansing that which still remains to be revealed to me for the path of the just is as a shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day but I long that what's left of life I will be given the grace to walk in the light that thou hast given me and to grow more and more until final perfection as Christ takes me home I lay my life on the altar of God to be a living sacrifice in the Old Testament an entire animal was laid on the altar a dead sacrifice but my entire life I lay on the altar of God to be a living sacrifice which is my reasonable service that I may prove what is that acceptable and perfect will of God in my life take my life let it be consecrated Lord to thee my moments my days take what's left of life this brief moment left and have it for thyself and give me the grace from this day to the day I die to never neglect this book again where I had opportunity and through it to be kept by the power of God through faith and faith cometh by the word of God keep me true now in Jesus the Christ's name and for his sake the name I love the name I live for the name I would gladly die for I ask these things of thee my father in heaven amen now beloved I don't believe this makes you perfect when you absolutely surrender Andrew Murray said all it does is put you in the position positionally to grow into perfection and we grow now and what happens I believe is a person absolutely surrenders to God is that instead of ups and downs more downs and ups in this position that you put yourself there's a consistent growth which is one way this book and seeking grace for obedience to it as more light comes not as though I had already obtained or read already either were perfect Paul said but I follow after we need to see God to grow into ultimate perfection as he takes us to heaven until then if you're alive you have to grow don't doubt that now what you've prayed you'll be stunned if you prayed it from your heart you will be stunned daily how God orchestrates things no matter what Satan or man does to enable you to fulfill this because of this prayer you will be stunned to the degree God will protect you and give you the desires of your heart and of his heart for you because of this prayer I believe and moment of dedication God bless you if you are not saved and you know what are you going to say to God after a message like this which is just scriptures as to why you remain unsaved that's going to be staggering what are you going to say to God why to seek God if you're not saved and seek him now seek him now and you can so there we are we can keep standing here where's the pastor pastor where would you come please to the frontier the Lord bless you make his face to shine upon you keep you true which he wants more than you do but you have to allow him daily would you please commit us to Christ sir as you want to we'll stay standing let's bow in a word of prayer our father in heaven we're so thankful for the privilege that we have to come before thee and we think of a throne of grace our father that has been visited today by these folks who have come and now our great interceder our father our savior has plead the cause of your people and we're so thankful Lord that we have a new and living way that we can enter in by the blood of Christ and I pray that cleansing blood will be the portion of every heart and soul in these coming days and Lord that you would pray for these folks as we pray for them too and Lord we know that your prayer will come before the father and Lord we thank thee for the grace that you give we just commend every soul to thee keep in thy name we pray in Jesus name Amen
