RSVnCOMMENTS: While it is possible that the words “and the bride” were omitted by copyists to focus the parable on the bridegroom, who represents Christ, it is more likely that the words were added by other copyists to reflect the custom of the bridegroom bringing the bride back to his house for the wedding.
