ASV RSV NASVnCOMMENTS: The words “in a vision” are enclosed in brackets in the UBS text. They are found in two different places in the manuscripts that include them. It is possible that they were added by copyists as an explanation of “seen”; on the other hand, it is also possible that they were omitted as unnecessary and perhaps as stylistically harsh since “in a vision” is also used in verse Acts 9:10.
