Fundamental Bible Studies Lesson Topic: 5 Rightly Dividing The Word

Introduction:

The Bible is divided into two great parts– the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament, commonly called the law, was written to guide and direct the Jewish people before the coming of Christ. When Christ died on the cross, He fulfilled that law. In its place He gave the New Testament, the system of faith, to guide and direct all people until the end of the world when He comes again. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, making a total of 66.
