16 Bible Verses on Restoration

16 verses

In the Bible, God's desire to restore His people is a recurring theme, as seen in Joel's promise to restore the years the locusts have eaten. The prophets, such as Jeremiah, speak of a future time when God will restore the fortunes of His people, healing their wounds and making them whole again. Through the psalmist, God promises to restore the joy of His salvation, and in Isaiah, He vows to give double for all their sorrows, bringing restoration and comfort. This promise of restoration is reaffirmed in the New Testament, as 1 Peter encourages believers that God will restore them after they have suffered for a little while.
