Psalms 119
BSA1 Blessed [truly happy, fortunate] are those whose way [path, journey, manner of life] is blameless [unblemished, perfect, without defect], who walk [follow, obey, live according to] in the Law [instruction, teachings, commandments] of the LORD [Yehovah, the supreme God]. word study 2 Blessed [happy, truly fortunate] are those who keep His testimonies [divine laws, commandments] and seek [search after, request] Him with all [their entire, whole] their heart [inner being, soul, mind]. word study 3 They do [no evil, nothing wrong] no iniquity [unrighteousness, moral evil]; they walk [go, behave] in His ways [path, manner of life]. word study 4 You [the Lord] have ordained [commanded, given orders] Your precepts [instructions, divine laws], that we should keep [obey, guard] them [with care] diligently [very carefully, with great attention]. word study 5 Oh [O that, I wish], that my ways [path, journey, manner of life] were committed [established, directed] to keeping [obeying, guarding] Your statutes [decrees, laws, divine commands]! word study 6 Then [at that time, in the past] I would not [never, under no circumstances] be ashamed [disgraced, put to shame, feel guilt or disappointment] when I consider [look, regard, have respect for] all [every, the entirety of] Your [belonging to You, God’s] commandments [laws, teachings, divine instructions]. word study 7 I will praise [give thanks, confess] You with an upright [morally straight, fair] heart [innermost being, mind and emotions] when I learn [am taught, guided] Your righteous [just, fair] judgments [decisions, justice]. word study 8 I will keep [observe, obey] Your statutes [decrees, laws]; do not [oh, please] utterly [completely, as far as possible] forsake [abandon, leave] me [give me not up]. word study 9 How [in what way, by what means] can a young man [youth, from infancy to adolescence] keep [guard, protect, obey] his way [path, journey, course of life] pure [clean, free from sin]? By guarding [taking heed, watching over] it according to Your word [divine instruction, command, promise]. word study 10 With all [my entire being, everything] my heart [inner self, feelings, will, and intellect] I have sought [searched for, worshiped, asked] You; do not [let it not be] let me stray [wander, err, go astray] from Your commandments [laws, teachings, guidelines]. word study 11 I have [laid up, stored] hidden Your word [promise, saying] in my [innermost, spiritual] heart that I might not [miss the mark, go wrong] sin against You. word study 12 Blessed [praised, honored] are You, O LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God]; teach [guide, instruct] me Your [given to me, belonging to me] statutes [decrees, laws, divine commands]. word study 13 With my lips [language, or edge of expression] I proclaim [repeat out loud, declare, or recount] all [everything, the whole] the judgments [justice, ordinances, or regulations] of Your [Thy, belonging to You] mouth [lip, edge, or border]. word study 14 I rejoice [have taken delight, feel joyful] in the way [road or path, manner of life] of Your testimonies [laws or instructions, witness to Your character] as much as [to the same extent, equally] in all [every, the entirety of] riches [wealth, substance, valuable possessions]. word study 15 I will meditate [think deeply, ponder] on Your precepts [commands, divine laws] and regard [look carefully, show respect to] Your ways [paths, journey of life]. word study 16 I will delight [take pleasure, find joy] in Your statutes [ordinances, divine decrees]; teach [guide, instruct] me Your statutes [decrees, laws, divine rules]. word study 27 Make clear [help me understand, cause me to comprehend] to me the way [path, road, manner of life] of Your precepts [commands, laws, divine instructions]; then I will meditate [think deeply, ponder, talk about] on Your wonders [miraculous works, amazing deeds, things that inspire awe]. word study 28 My soul [the essence of a person] melts [to drip, weeping] with sorrow [grief, heaviness]; strengthen me [establish, raise me up] according to Your word [thing, matter, promise]. word study 29 Remove me from the path [way of life, manner of action] of deceit [falsehood, betrayal] and graciously [with kindness, in mercy] grant me Your law [instruction, guiding principles]. word study 30 I have chosen [selected, decided to follow] the way [path, journey] of truth [faithfulness, loyalty];
