Human Fallenness

10 sermons

The biblical concept of human fallenness refers to the inherent sinfulness and moral frailty of humanity, resulting from the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:6-7). This fallen state is characterized by a propensity for sin and a separation from God, as described in Romans 3:23, which states that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The Bible teaches that this fallenness can only be redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness and restoration to those who trust in Him (Psalms 51:17, Romans 5:8). Through this redemption, believers can experience spiritual renewal and reconciliation with God, as promised in 2 Corinthians 5:17, where it is written that "if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come."
