(The Church in the Last Days) 14 - Destruction of the Babylon
Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
If anyone receives revelation in the Word of God, it sometimes conflicts with what he has previously been taught. This causes you to have to deal with old traditions or wrong teaching. These tapes may contain some new light from God's Word, and it may be opposed to some traditions you have previously learned. Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number 14 in a series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in the series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of the series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of this series. They're going to verse 9, 2 and 9, they're going to rush on the city, they're going to run on this white horse wall, they're going to climb into these houses of these people who are the blind leading the blind, they're going to enter through the windows, and they're going to come in like what? They are a thief that come to kill, steal, and destroy, that's what they are. Before them the earth quakes, what do you mean it quakes? They come to take the foundations, and everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and only those things that cannot be shaken are the only things that's going to remain. Hebrews 12, that's what they come against the foundations, if you're not standing on the whole counsel of God, you get shook down. So before them the earth quakes, the heavens tremble, the sun and the moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness, that means that's just spiritual darkness, covers everything. And the Lord utters His voice, Behold for whose army? Whose army? His army, His troops, the same ones you saw over in Job 18. It's His army that He's called, that's the ones we sing about. Surely His camp is very great, for strong is He who cares out His word. Who cares out the word of God? These troops, and strong are they who care out when the Lord shoots His, what? Speaks His arrows, and they enter your, what? Inward parts, and they're strong, they're stronger than any of the human race. And the only way you'll stand against them is stand away from them, whether you have the covenant partner of Jesus, and you'll not stand against them if you don't stand against them His way. You'd better be sure you've got the right Jesus. For strong is He who cares out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, who can endure it? And yet even now declares the Lord, return to me with what? You'd better come to me with all your heart, with all your heart, you'd better get rid of these idols, you'd better turn to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning, you'd better render your heart and not your garments. Now return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious, He is compassionate, He is slow to anger, He's abounding in love and kindness, He's relenting of evil. Verse 15, blow a trumpet in Zion, and this is a song I like to hear sung, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn ascending, gather the people in what? Look at me, how do you sanctify the congregation, listen to me folks, this is how you get the wall of Jesus. You sanctify the congregation because then you let the discipline of the Lord come in and say, brother, I heard that anger coming out right there, and I know you've come to the Lord with all your heart, doc, and you know I love you and I need your help to show me the things that's wrong in my life. We've got the glory of Jesus around this place, we've got peace in here, He wants us to deal with everything on the band, anger can't be here, hate can't be here, brother, we've got to deal with that, you've got to deal with it. And then He won't deal with it, I'll bring somebody else, hey, brother, we love the Lord more than we do anything. He says, we've got to deal with it. And then He won't deal with it, we take Him before the church, He's put outside, and He's given up to Satan, the destruction of His flesh, He can repent and come back. But if the Lord has all His heart, He will turn with the whole heart. That's how you get the wall of Jesus, that's how you get the glory of Jesus, that's the grace and power that God's going to pour out on the people that purify their hearts, because nobody's getting glory except Jesus, because Jesus is standing in the midst of that congregation because this church is built around Jesus, holiness, and righteousness. Amen? So gather the people and sanctify the congregation, sanctify means purify their hearts. Assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing inmates, that's Jesus, and the bride of our chamber. Now, you're noticing a very interesting thing, folks, don't you see what we just read? Do you remember over and over we see it about Babylon right there, that all joy and gladness is gone? Shake your head at me again tonight. Joy and gladness is gone, amen? All right, then, there's a bridegroom, no voice of the bridegroom and no voice of the bride. Isn't it an interesting thing right there that in verse 16 of both, look back in chapter 1, has not food, the word, that's a famine, been cut off before our eyes, ever learning, never able to come, the knowledge of truth, gladness and joy from the house of the Lord. There's gladness and joy, then when you fast and everything, what's going to happen over in verse 16 in chapter 2, it's 16, then Jesus is going to come out of his room and the bride of our bridal chamber. Amen? They're going to get together. When you repent and sanctify the congregation and purify your hearts and when you start walking in a direction and overcoming endurance like Jesus tells us to do with a pure heart, glory be to God forevermore. Amen? We need Jesus. And we need to do what God says in his word. Don't analyze it. Do it! Now, let the priest, the Lord's ministers, weep between a porch and an altar. Let him say, Spare thy people, O Lord, from these locusts. And do not make thine inheritance a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they among the people say, Where is their God? Now go over to verse 23. So rejoice, O sons of Zion, be glad in the Lord your God, for he's given you the early rain for your vindication. He's poured down for you the rain. Now this is the Spirit of God. The early and the latter rain as before and the threshing floors are going to be full of grain. This is what's coming up for people that purify their hearts. And I'm going to tell you something, folks. Listen to me. You just find you some nice place and you just settle in there and you just find security among people. Your security had better be the Lord Jesus Christ. Let me come over here and tell you this. I'm going to tell you in Jesus' name, your security had better be comparing yourself among yourself and measuring yourself by yourself. Your security better not be nothing except the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing. Not in the works, not in the gifts, not casting out demons, not healing the sick, not in anything but just Jesus with all your heart. Because everything, gifts, all everything that these are is just Jesus. And he's the one, folks, understand this, we have been deceived by getting a vision of some man with a part that he's got power. There's something special about him. There's nothing special about any man except the grace of Jesus. What makes a man important is Jesus gets in his life. Amen? And see, there's no distinguishing between any kind of folks, yellow, black, purple, polka dots. It does not matter if they're in Jesus. You've got a problem in your heart. And if you see anything rich, poor, old, young, if it's in Jesus. Amen? Because there's nothing but love in a pure heart, a sanctified heart. Glory, hallelujah. Praise the Lord. We're talking about love, folks. Love shouldn't upset you. Amen? Dear God, we need some of it. So, 25. When you do all this, your vats are going to be full. And then he said, verse 25, I'm going to make up for you all those years that these swarming locusts, these powers of darkness, even the creeping locusts, the stripping locusts, the gnawing of my great army which I made among you. When you sanctify and purify your hearts and everything, I'm going to make up for all they've been tearing down on you. I'm going to restore you something coming out of heaven all over you. It's called a latter rain. An early and a latter rain. Amen? Well, you're going to be something, but you're not going to be something. See, folks, I'm going to tell you something. I've only got a part, but if you don't get this part, you're going to miss the rest of it. Can you hear what I'm saying? Don't run off. These are just signs. I'm going to let your heart go out to him. Thanks to the people in 2 Thessalonians 2. If you don't get this part, you're going to miss it all. Can I tell you plainly? If you miss this, you've missed it all. Are you hearing me? If you miss this foundation, you've missed it all. I'm telling you, the trumpet's blowing. When you miss this, you've missed it all. All of it. And then when he said, I'm going to make up for what this great army did to you, then verse 27, but you know the wicked are going to be slain in this because they won't repent or sanctify their hearts or purify their hearts, and so they're going to be destroyed from among the righteous. Do you know why? They're not in the heart. And the flood gets them. But you're going to know, verse 27, that I am in the midst of Israel, that I am the Lord your God. There is no other. And my people will never be put to shame. And it's going to come about after this that I'm going to pour my Spirit. I'm going to pour my Spirit. Instead of pouring out the flood, he said, I'm going to pour my Spirit out on all mankind, and your sons and daughters are going to prophesy. Your old men are going to be dreaming dreams. Your young men are going to see vision. Even on the male and the female service, I'm going to pour out my Spirit. In those days, he's not pouring it out on people's hearts who are defiled in agreement with the devil. He's going to pour it out on people who have a pure heart. You don't get revival your way. You get it God's way, the purified, sanctified, reconciled heart into the image and likeness of God. Amen? God means what he says. The judgment is coming. You just preach blessings when you want to build on reputations and something. But when you build on the Word of God, you speak the whole Word, blessings and curses and judgment, all of it. And then you'll know the fear of God. And when you know the fear of God, it's the beginning of knowledge, the beginning of evil. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because they don't know the fear of God because they learn peace and safety. You surely shall not die. You surely shall die, says God. You surely shall not enter in the kingdom of God if you practice sins. Galatians 5, 19 through 21. Ephesians 5, verse 8. You can know with certainty that the impure heart, immorality, idolatry, those shall not enter into the kingdom of Christ and the kingdom of God. And if you've taken notes, put down there 1 Corinthians 6, 9 through 11 with you. Now, well, he said, I'm going to pour out my spirit there. That's a good time to just leave that right there. Now, turn me to Revelation, Revelation 3. Revelation 3. Revelation 3. Revelation 3, verse 1. And to the angel of the church of Sardis write, He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, says this, I know your deeds, that you have a name, that you're alive. Yes, you have a name, and you're in a flesh, but you're dead. You're dead! Wake up, you sleeping virgins, wake up! And strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die, for I have not found your deeds completed. You're not purified, your heart, and they're not completed in the sight of God. What's the sight of God? Right in God's eyes, which is righteousness. Now, in verse 3. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard this word of God, and keep it, don't analyze it, keep it, do it, and repent! If, therefore, you shall not wake up, I'm going to come, what? Jesus said, if you're not going to wake up, I'm going to come, like a what? A thief, you're not going to know it, what I'm going to come, what? Upon you. Listen, folks, does that look like you're being snatched up or snatched down? He said, I'm going to come like a... I'm going to show you this plainly and directly. You're snatched in the wrong direction. Because you won't repent, you're destroyed. And that's how the wicked destroy among the righteous, because you're on the wrong foundation, they won't repent. Now, in verse 5, you don't know what hour I'm going to come in. In verse 5, he who overcomes, he who overcomes, he who overcomes, he who overcomes. What does it mean, overcome what? Overcome sin! Overcome flesh! Overcome the world! Overcome the devil! Overcome rebellions, what it's talking about, and walk in love. Amen? He who overcomes shall thus be clothed in white garments. And then this one, it overcomes, I am not going to erase his name from the book of life. And then I'm going to profess his name before my Father and before his kingdom. Now, that is the one it overcomes. Is that correct? Now, verse 7, And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, He who is holy, who is true, he has the key of David, he opens, and no one's going to shut. Who shuts and no one opens says this. Now, there you're talking about holy, the key of David. I know your deeds. Behold, I've put before you an open door, which no one can shut, because why? They're walking in love. Because you have a little power and have kept my word, I've not denied my name. Behold, I'm going to cause those of the synagogue of Satan those... Do you think any synagogues of Satan around, folks? They look like a lamb and speak like a dragon. Behold, I'm going to cause those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they're Jews. They say those are those Jews in Romans 2, the real Jews, Christians, and are not, but they lie. Behold, I'm going to make them come and bow down at your feet and to know that I've loved you. That's exactly what the foolish are going to come to do. They're going to come before the wise and prudent because I'm telling you judgment is poured out now and it's slowly just getting worse. It's pretty fast. It's getting worse and worse and worse and worse right now, and then it's going to be seven to try to get a hold of one Jew, one Christian, and they're going to come looking for all. They're going to come looking for the word, the Doresh. Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I'm also going to keep you from the hour of what? Testing. What is the hour of testing? The hour of testing right there is the tribulation, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world to test those who dwell upon the earth. I'm coming quickly. Hold fast what you have in order that no one may take your crown. Is that right? Now, he who overcomes, he who overcomes, he overcomes. He's the one and I'm going to make a pillar in the temple of my God. He'll not go out from it anymore. I'll write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the New Jerusalem. Now, what is he saying? What is he saying? You remember what we saw in Genesis 14, verse 4? They had the mark of God. Those who had not been defiled were the women. They had the name written upon them, God. Amen? In other words, they had the mind of Christ. Because if you don't have a defiled heart, if you have a defiled heart, who are you the image of? You're the image of the beast. You're the image of Satan. Is that right? Okay. Now, let's look in Genesis 6. Genesis 6, real quickly. Genesis 6. Folks, do you know? Let me just tell you where we're going to. Do you know where we're going to stop at here directly? We're going to stop here in a few minutes and I'm going to show you the army around Jerusalem today. That's where we're going to stop at. Now, Genesis. It's going to get good in a minute. Genesis 6. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continuing. Now, look, is that what we're talking about today? That his heart and his thoughts are all evil because that's where his heart is, evilness, wicked thoughts. That's why they lodge within him, amen? And that's why he doesn't let them be washed away of the word of God because he loves them. He loves evil, amen? So he says there, verse 9. These are the records of the generation of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He was what? He was righteous and he was what? Why was he righteous and blameless in his time? Because Noah walked with God. Is that what you're told to do? You're told to walk with God, okay. Now, verse 11. Now the earth was what? It's corrupt inside of God. It wasn't righteous inside of God. We know the divine nature in 2 Peter 1, verse 4. You escape the corruption of the world by having a divine nature. But see right here. They are corrupt. They're corrupt inside of God. His ungodliness and unrighteousness in the earth was filled. There it is, that word, violence. And God looked on the earth and behold, it was corrupt for all flesh had corrupted their way up on the earth. Then God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me for the earth is filled with violence because of them and behold, I'm about to destroy them with the earth. Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood. Now who is this a type of? This is a type of Jesus. You shall make the ark with rooms and shall cover it inside and out with pitch. Verse 17. Behold, I even am going to bring a what? Uh-oh, I'm going to bring what? I'm going to bring a flood. Well, it seems like we've run into that word before. I'm going to bring a flood of water upon the earth and it's going to what? It's going to destroy all flesh which has a breath of life from under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall what? It's going to perish, but I'm going to establish my covenant with what? You and you shall enter the ark. You and your family. Amen? And all the righteous go in the ark. Is that right? And then the flood came. Say, all right. Now look in chapter 7, verse 1. Then the Lord said to Noah, Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone have I seen to be righteous before me. Few there be that go up there. Narrow and small is the way to righteousness and blameless before God. Amen? All right, now. Then we see in verse 7, Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons entered the ark because of the what? The water of the flood. Then verse 16, And those that entered, male and female, all flesh entered that God had commanded them. And here it comes. Once again, we run into that door. It was what? What happened? The door was closed. Amen? Was the door closed? Did we read the door is closed over in the New Testament? In the ark? Jesus? Okay. Now, verse 19, And the water prevailed more and more upon the earth that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered. Verse 23, Then he blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things to birds of the sky. And they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah was left together with those that were with him. Where? In the ark. He destroyed everything else. Can I tell you that's what's happening, folks? That's exactly what's happening. Chapter 9. I'm going to show it to you in a minute. Verse 1, And God blessed Mo and his son. He said to him, Here we run into it again. Be fruitful and multiply. In verse 11, And I established my covenant with you, and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood. By the water of the flood. He said it wasn't going to be cut off by the water of the flood anymore, right? But he's already destroyed everything in the water. Neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth. Now, isn't that interesting? Now, look at me, folks. Did God at one time put the righteous in the ark and destroyed all the wicked? If we start out this service tonight by saying that Matthew 13, all stumbling blocks and all terrors are going to be destroyed. The righteous from among the wicked. Amen? Do you think God... Do you think Jesus always came the way religion thought he was going to come? Do you think Jesus always comes the opposite way he thinks he's going to come? And then when you're going to see him, you're going to be like him. You know why? Because you're going to be a pure heart and you'll know him as he is because your heart will be pure and his heart will be pure and you can see him clearly and plainly. Amen? Because you're sanctified and glorified and separated and reconciled. All right, now, verse 15. Now, watch very closely. He said, I'm going to remember my covenant which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and never again will the what? Will the water become a what? Flood to destroy all flesh. But he didn't say it might not be another kind of flood, did he? He said the water wouldn't be a flood to destroy all flesh, did he? Huh? What about that? Well, praise the Lord. Well, turn with me to John 3. Let's look at Matthew 24 while we tie this together. Turn to Matthew 24. Now, don't nobody walk out at this time. If anything is telling you to go now, you've said, I've decided to wait a while and just stand on the Word. Now, 24, verse 3. And he was sitting, verse 3, on the Mount of Olives, and his disciples came to him, what? This is a private conversation. Tell us, when will these things be and what will be the sign of your coming at the end of the age? And Jesus answered them and said, See to it that no one what? Mislead you like we read about those people in Ezekiel 13, right? All right, now, I believe you're going to need to sit down to stand and rest in this. Sit down. You might stand back up again in a minute and shout. But, Lloyd, how are you? Folks, I want to tell you, once you sit and ball games with guys coming off your ears, I've got six hours to travel here tonight where I'm going. I'm telling you, I'd stay here all night. What's coming up, don't leave. It's better than an overtime ball game. It's better than the Cowboys or the Indians. Now, praise God. Praise the name of Jesus. Verse 37. We're going to talk about the coming of Jesus now. Verse 37, For the coming of the Son of Man, the coming of the Son of Man, the coming of Jesus is going to be just like the days of Noah we just read about. I mean, He's coming for destruction first. For in those days which were before the flood, they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying. They were giving Him marriage until the day that Noah entered the what? Ark. It's going to be the same way in the last days. And they did not understand. They did not understand. Ever learning, never able to come to the knowledge of truth. They did not have understanding because when you have another doctrine that does not conform you to godliness, 1 Timothy 6, 3 through 5, you're without understanding. You're deprived of the truth and the morbid interest in controversial questions. And now we see right there, it's just like the days of Noah, Noah and the Ark and they did not understand. They didn't understand until what came? The flood came and what? What did the flood do? Took them away. May I ask you something? What takes them away? The flood. That's not rapture. That way is that way. It's the wrong way. It's the flood that takes them. Jesus doesn't take them. The flood takes them. Amen. So the flood came and took them away. So shall the coming of the Son of Man come. He's coming for destruction first. He's destroying and removing from this earth everything that's in rebellion to Him that won't come to the light. Then there will be two men in the field. One will be what? Taken which way? Down. And one will be left. Two women will be grounded. One of them will probably make her own bed, destroy the life of herself and want to be what? Taken which way? Down. And one will be left. Therefore be on the alert. You better be on the alert. You better be on the alert. You don't know which day your Lord is coming, but be sure of this, if the head of the house, the head of the house, the head of the house had known that what time of the what? That is the time of spiritual darkness. If he'd known what time of spiritual darkness, who was coming? The thief. The thief. That's who comes. Jesus comes as a thief because He lowers the heads and turns the thief loose for destruction. That's what Revelation is about. And if a thief was coming, he would have been what? Alert. Alert means you're not asleep. That's exactly what you're warned to be in 1 Peter 5, 8-10. Look at me. Look at me. In 5, 8-10, you're warned, the brethren are warned. Brethren, you better be on the alert. You better be serious and sober because the adversary prowls around seeking someone to devour. Brethren! It's talking about brethren! It's talking about brethren! Why is it talking about brethren? It says you better pull up the faith. Let's just read it. I want you to see that right there. It's talking to brethren. 1 Peter 5, 8-10. Because when you're not doing it, see, that's the reason you can't have a divine nature because you don't resist the devil. Now verse 8. Be of a sober spirit. 1 Peter 5, verse 8. Be of a sober spirit. That means be serious, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion. Now who is he talking to down there in verse 16? The last part of verse 9, rather. Who's he talking to? Brethren! So brethren, he's seeking someone to devour. Now let me ask you something. Is he saying, brethren, he can devour you? Why is that in there, brethren, to resist the devil? He's seeking someone. He's seeking to devour you, brethren. So brethren, what does he tell brethren to do? But brethren, didn't say ignore him. They said resist him. What? With a shield of faith like Jesus showed us to do and look for. Amen? He showed us to resist the lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, the boastful pride of life. And we're told in Ephesians 6, one of the shields of armor. Above all, above all, you put up a shield of faith. Only the brethren have faith. Isn't that right? Amen. So brethren, put up the shield of faith. You put up the shield of faith knowing that the same experiences of what? Suffer when the powers of darkness come along to try to make your flesh rise up in the lust of flesh, the lust of the flesh wants to agree. You have to suffer in the flesh and cease from sin and the power from Jesus comes to put it to death. Amen? Now, oh, if the head of the house, get back over there now, 43, be sure of this, if the head of the house had known at what time of the night, that's the time of spiritual darkness, this thief was coming, he would have been where? He'd been on the alert like 1 Peter 5, 8 and 9 said and then he wouldn't have allowed his what? Look at me! He wouldn't have allowed this house broken into. Did we see him, Joel is going to come and run over the wall and climb into houses. Huh? And the head of the house is looking in the wrong direction. Amen? I want to go a little further. You'd be ready too for the Son of Man is coming in an hour when you don't think he will too. He's coming also but he's sending the thief, destruction. He's coming and he's sending destruction upon the earth. Now, I want you to see there in verse, Peter 45, Who then is faithful? Are we supposed to be faithful that obey the word of God? We're going to be sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household and they're going to give them the what? The word of God at the proper time. Are you getting the word at the proper time? Amen. Now, that's what the head of the house is for. That's what the master he put in charge. If you get the food at the proper time, you better act on it, folks. You better learn something about it. You better not go out and ho-hum, God, I've got me another message. I'm excited about my revelation. I'm going to gather you around the power of the word and try to start you another denomination. Blessed is the slave. This one is blessed. Others are cursed. Is that slave whom his master finds so do him when he comes? Truly I say to you that he shall be put in charge of all his possessions. Now we see, but if that evil slave says where? In his heart, my master has not come for a long time. I can still eat and drink and be merry. I just live with this world and the things of earth. And he began to beat his fellow slaves. That's words. Beat them with words. Beat them down. Dominate them. Eat and drink with the who? Who's the drunkards? Look at me, folks. They just want to eat to Paul's teaching. Just go eat and drink with drunkards that stumble and stagger in spiritual darkness. Go and eat and drink with them. They don't even know what's going on. Are you hearing me? The drunkards are the ones who are stumbling and staggering in spiritual darkness. Are you hearing me? Now, I want you to look at me and John 3 quickly. John 3. Now, quickly. Verse 16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you believe in the Son, does it say you have eternal life? There's some more Bibles there, aren't there? That's not the only verse in this Bible. You can't stop there and build around that, can you? Let's look at verse 36. He who believes in the Son has eternal life. Verse 36 is saying the same thing as verse 16, isn't it? But what else does it say? But he who what? Doesn't obey the Son. Can I tell you another thing? That doesn't do the will of God. Do you know what the will of God is? That you suffer in the flesh and see some sin. Do you hear me? Is that right? The will of God is the whole Word of God. If you don't take part of the Word of God and gather around it and call it in, amen? Okay. Let's see what happens here. But he who doesn't obey the Son shall not see life. Why? You know, we saw it in Colossians 3, 5 through 8 that those who practice the flesh rebellion that the wrath of God is coming for these things and it remains on. Of course, we saw this in Ephesians 2, 3, 5. Ephesians 5, 8, 5 through 8, same thing. Because why? If you're not obeying the Son of God, you're still practicing sin. And if you're still practicing sin, you never have repentance. And if you never have repentance, the wrath of God remains on you and never did come off of you. That's the same one in Matthew 7 over there. He cast out demons. He did miracles. He prophesied all the night because you never did stop practicing lawlessness. Amen? So where do you think this fellow led people with demons and casting out demons and miracles and things like that? He led them the same way that if you've got a false teacher, he'll use the Word of God and he'll mix the things of the devil with it and what if a man's got spiritual pride, what are you going to get if you follow him? If a man's going to obey and depart the Word of God, what's going to happen to you if he's your father? Why, who are you responsible to, me or Jesus? Jesus. There's only one teacher and you can follow him because you're not supposed to be like me. You're supposed to be like Jesus. Is that right? He's your Master. Amen? So we don't follow men. We're not a subject of men. We're a subject of Jesus and the man. Amen? The Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God. So now, something had to happen in between verse John 3, 16 and 3, 36. There it is in verse 19. We see this wrath as a judgment. Verse 18, He who believes in Jesus is not judged, but he who does not believe has been judged already. Because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. That is the judgment to not believe in Him. Now here's what happens if you believe in Him. You don't just take a verse. Here's what happens if Jesus Christ is your Lord and you believe in Him. Verse 9, This is the judgment that the light, that's Jesus, the Word of God, is come into the world and men love darkness. They love the deeds of the flesh, rebellion, rather than the light for their deeds are what? Evil. They will not turn from the evil lust nature. They won't purify themselves. They won't sanctify themselves. They won't put it to death. They won't turn from it because they hate the light. Jesus said, He who loves me will obey, what? My work. But that proves they love evil deeds because their heart stays there and you'll know them by their what? Their fruit, their pride, ego, hate, anger, murder, all these things coming out of their mouth and it's coming from where? The heart. Now let's defile. Now that's how you know people by their fruit. Now verse 20, For everyone who does evil he what? He hates the Word of God. Is that what your Bible said? He hates the Word of God and he does not come to light. Why? Because his deeds should be exposed. Now listen here. Folks, when you start getting into things like this, this early part of service is when I start out right here that people jump up and you see them just start, a few of them just here over here. See, I'm not building a foundation to please folks or flex. You understand what I mean? I say the Word of God like it says. They get offended. They don't like it because that tears down their lifestyle and their work. It tears down the idols in their heart and you cannot stay here. You listen to me, folks. You cannot stay. This is my part. I've only got a part. I'm just a part of Jesus. My part is no more important than your part. It's a part. It's a part if it's all Jesus. But I'm here and my part is not a popular part. I tear down idols with the Word of God. Everything in your heart is trusting Him besides the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word. I pray these 10 days and that's what I told you on the first day. My job was to tear it down. I can't tear it down if you won't come to the light. If your deeds are evil and you love your ears, you'll not come to light. Unless your heart and your mind is somewhere else, you'll not come. It can't worship. But the ones of you that's come to light, you've sat there right in your seat and Jesus has changed your life. That didn't change your life. The Word of God did. He sent His Word to heal you, not folks. For everyone who does evil, he hates the light and he does not come to light because he don't want his deeds exposed. Now verse 21, He who practices the truth, the Word of God right here, he endures and he overcomes. He comes to this world of light that his deeds may be manifested and his righteousness having been wrought in God because all his heart wants to please God. Amen? Turn a moment a little further there to John 12. John 12. John 12. Hurry. John 12, verse 46. We're going to see some more of the light. This is Jesus speaking, verse 46. I have come, 12, 46, I have come as light unto the world that every one who believes in me, if they believe in me, if they believe me, they will not remain in darkness, but they will remain in darkness if they keep practicing darkness because Romans 13, 12 through 14 says, You lay aside the deeds of darkness, you put on the armor of God, and you no longer make no provision, you put on the Lord Jesus Christ and you make no provision, no provision for the lust and its desire, lust of flesh. Amen? You put on Jesus and you lay aside the deeds of darkness unless you don't like that part of the Bible. Flesh don't. Flesh is hostile to this Word of God. It will not subject itself to the Word of God. Rebellion cannot subject to God. Flesh is rebellion. Now, I have come as a light unto the world that every one who believes in me may not remain in darkness and if anyone hears my word right here, he hears my word Jesus says and he does not keep him, I'm not going to judge him for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world but he who rejects me and he rejects my word and my sayings has won a judge and this word right here is what's going to judge you in the last days. This is why look at me folks. This word, you better love this word. You better let the word wash your heart because this is what's going to judge you in the last days and if you love something else more than you do this word right here, this word can't wash you. If you've got idols in your heart, if you've got a reputation, you've got a reputation. How do you get a reputation? Jesus didn't have one. Where are you going to get one? What do you have to have a reputation for? You need to live. You need Jesus. You'll die with a reputation. You'll die with your image. You'll die with your idols. Jesus will be the only idol you have. Jesus is Lord and I'm going to tell you something folks. The fear of God is to learn that God, the judgment of God and everything that doesn't walk in love is destroyed and it's just like a rotting, it's just like a moth just slowly drifting and drifting and drifting and the powers of darkness are waiting right out that door right there, right there. As soon as you walk out here to get you back in the words of the world to seek from the rich and desires of other things to get your heart back into things because they want to steal this out of your heart that you've got right now. I've watched people after people sitting there right there as you are just lewd and hearing things you've never heard before in your life and hearing, receiving a word just like you are and you know in two months time you can read a verse to them you don't even remember. It's already taken because they go by like a pig after washing and going back to the wall or a dog returning to its environment. Now, while we're in that chapter a couple of more verses. Now, verse 35, Jesus therefore said to them, for a little while longer the light is among you and I'm telling you that Jesus said you better walk while you have the light, you better walk while you have the light, you better walk while you have the light, you better walk while you have the light, you better walk in what light you have that darkness may not overtake you because I'm telling you darkness is right there to overtake it. You want to know who darkness is? Who has the power of the darkness? Who are the unclean spirits that make you unclean? The power of the darkness is right there. You better walk in the light while you've got the light because darkness is there to overtake you and he who walks in darkness does not know where he goes. Just listen to me, folks. Here's a man walking in darkness. He's staggering and stumbling in spiritual darkness. He don't know where he goes. People in darkness have no wisdom. They have the wisdom of the world. That's destruction. Next verse. While you have the light, you better believe in the light in order that you may become what? Sons of light. Now look at me. If you're going to be sons of light, you're going to walk in the light. It's a lie to say you're a son of light and you walk in darkness and don't love your brother. It's a lie. You're a deception. You're deceived. You've deceived your own heart. You hear the word of God, but you're not a doer of the word of God. Now let me ask you something. They're going to be a people who have another gospel. They have another Jesus and they're not going to be sons of light but they think they're sons of light and they're deceived. Their own heart is deceived. Their own heart is deceived in the last days. They're the ones who are going to be destroyed. It is called the great falling away of the last days and the day of the Lord is not going to come. The great falling away of Satan. I want you to know the great falling away has already taken place. It's already taken place. The great falling away is here. You're in the middle of it folks. Now let me just say something. People, another way to say and let me just run this by you again. Eve, Satan came up to Eve who was holy and blameless Adam and Eve both holy and blameless came up to Eve and said come here Eve. Beat off this tree of knowledge of good and evil. On this tree right here is the lust of flesh the lust of the eyes of both the pride of life. God said if you eat off this tree you shall surely die. But Satan said you can eat off this you can have rebellion in your heart the lust of flesh the lust of the eyes of both the pride of life you surely shall not die. Come here and it's a beautiful tree. Come here and eat off this. And then Eve said later to God the serpent deceived me and I later on once again in 2 Corinthians 11 just as the serpent deceived Eve Paul said I fear for you I'm afraid for you that you'll be deceived in the same way that your mind would be led astray. You're not taking thoughts captive you're not in a war that your mind would be led astray to another gospel another Jesus and another spirit and the servants of Satan will come disguised as servants of righteousness they'll bring the other gospel they'll bring another Jesus. These gospels do not conform you in the image of Jesus they tell you exactly what Satan told Eve. You surely shall not die. Peace I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have to explain don't read ahead of me and stay with me and get ready to mark some things in your Bible. OK? Verse 1 I'm going to pick I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have to explain them to you. I'm going to pick out a lot of things I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have to explain I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have to explain them to you. I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have them to you. I'm going to pick out a lot of things and I'm going to have them to you. The day of the Lord is not coming until the fall and the way of the full comes. That the day of the Lord is going to come like a what? Leaf in the night that's was a fallen away look at me that's people whose thoughts and intents of their mind and heart are all evil. Let me show you the kind of teachers they have. Look back there in Romans 1. I want to show it to you. Hold your place. I want to show them to you. Romans 1, verse 18, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all, all, all, all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. ungodliness and unrighteousness. Verse 22, They professing to be wise, they become fools. And look there in verse, so God gives them over the lust of their heart. There is that impurity in verse 24. You don't go to heaven with impurity. Second, Ephesians 5, 5 through 8 and Colossians 3, verse 5. Read them. The wrath of God comes on these things. They exchange the truth of God for a lie. Look in verse 28. God has given them over to a depraved mind. Verse 29, And here they are. They are filled with all unrighteousness. There is greed, envy, strife, gossiping. Verse 30, They are slanders, arrogant, boastful. Let me ask you something. If these things are in their heart, what's coming out of their mouth? Is this the fruit of the Spirit or the fruit of the devil? You'll know them by their fruit. They're slanders. They're haters of God, boastful, disobedient. Verse 31, Without understanding, they're unloving, unmerciful. Verse 32, Although they know that this Word of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they do not only do the same, but give hearty approval to those who practice them. Amen? All right, now. Verse 2, And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who what? Practice such things. Turn back to Matthew 7 and hold on to 1 Thessalonians 5. I want to show you something else. Mark 7. Mark 7, please. I changed it from Matthew. Now, if these things are in their heart, it's coming out of their mouth, what do you think they are? What kind of fruit have they got? Are you told that you're going to know false teachers and false preachers and everything in the last days? Amen? You're going to know them by what? Now, remember what? Don't forget what we've read. These are reading, these tapes are going to help you. Now, look in chapter, Mark 7, verse 20. And he was saying, That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For within, out of the heart. That means in his heart which comes out of his mouth is coming these things. The evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murders, adultery. These things we just read in Romans 1. Deeds of coveting, wickedness, as well as deceit. There's sensuality. There's envy. There's slander. There's pride. There's foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within which comes from his heart out of his mouth, and it defiles the man. Are you just reading what we got there? So what do you think God says about folks like that? Whose heart is their heart in agreement with like that? That's the same one in James 3. It speaks blessings of curses, doesn't it? It shouldn't be this way. Should flesh and bitter water come out the same opening? No, absolutely not. He said this wisdom is not from the world. It's the world, flesh, and demonic. And looky here. Do you know what he says about it? Jesus doesn't have the hearts of people like this. Look over in verse 6. Back up to 6. He rightly said, Rightly did Isaiah prophesy, you hypocrites, that it is written, This people are honouring me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. I do not have their heart. Their heart is given over to sexuality and doctrines that do not conform to godliness. You are going to see in a minute. In vain, verse 7, they are worshipping me. They are worshipping me in vain. They are wasting their time. Their hearts are still in rebellion to me. The wrath of God is on them. In vain they are worshipping me. Why do they think they are getting by with this? The next sentence. They are teaching as doctrines the opinions of men, the precepts of men. They gather round the doctrines. The doctrines have captured their hearts. You surely shall not die. Peace. Safety. And they neglect the commandment of God. You want to hold to traditions of men because your heart loves the traditions of men more than the whole counsel of God. Verse 9. He was also saying to them, You nicely set aside this word of God, the commandment of God, and keep your tradition, because this is the deception that the powers of darkness have brought on the people today, because our ancestors who developed doctrines did not oppose nor expose the powers of darkness. And we are just beginning to learn a lot of things about it. We learn a little bit, gather round it and call it it. People compare themselves among themselves, measure themselves by themselves. They are without understanding. 2 Corinthians 10. Now in verse 13. When your heart loves a tradition, does it invalidate the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down? It is handed down and it gets your heart. And you do many things such as that. Turn over to John 8. John 8. I want to remind you one more thing. In John 8. John 8. Verse 38. John 8. Jesus said, I speak the things which I have seen with my father God, and therefore you also... What? You are doing the things you have heard from your father. Your father and my father are different. I have got Father God and you have got Father Satan, because I can tell by your deeds and your walk right there who your father is. And verse 41, he says it plainly. You are doing the deeds of your father. Verse 43. Why don't you understand what I'm saying? In other words, look at me. Look at me. Jesus said, I'm bringing you some light. I'm trying to lead you folks out of darkness. I've got the word right here. Why can't you understand what I'm saying? You can't understand because you cannot hear the word of God. Why is it you can't hear the word of God? In other words, back in the last part of 37, he said, My word has no place in you. Why can't they hear the word of God? Once again, I want to tell you. Because they had already taken part of the word. They had taken part of the Bible. They had built them a religious structure. The structure had their hearts. No one could come along and bring more light because the structure, the doctrines, had become an idol. They were ready to push this man, the Lord Jesus Christ, off the cliff. They could not understand because they had tunnel vision. They could only see in the word of God what fit in their structure, which had their hearts. You hear me? And so, what did he go ahead? He tried to please folks like me. He said, verse 44, You are the father of the devil. Do you know why he said, You are the father of the devil? Because you want to. Your heart wants to. You want to. You want to what? You want to do the desires of your father. Amen? You want to do rebellion. You want to. That's where your heart is. That's why I speak the things of my father, and you do the things of your father. You are the father of the devil. I know by your fruit, by your walks, and by your deeds. Therefore, he says there in verse, let's go ahead in verse 7, He is of God and hears the words of God. For this reason you don't hear them, because you are not of God. Folks, listen to me. If anyone can't hear the word of God, they're not of God, because you can only hear it through the Spirit of God and the grace of God. And if you've got an idol in your heart, Ezekiel 14 shows you it's a stumbling block in front of your face. You're blocked with idols in your heart. In 2 Timothy 2, and I'll show you how you set free, you first repent from all the speculation and all these things, and then you come to the truth. You repent, then you let the knowledge of the truth, then you escape from the snare of the devil that's helped you to do his will, which instead goes on in 2 Timothy 3 to show you how the will of Satan is done through a harlot church who has a form of godliness and denies the power of the word. It's not talking about power of signs of wonders. It's talking about denying the power of the word to change your life. It's not us doing it for God. It's us getting in on it. It's grace. Amen? Now turn over there where were we? It was over in 1 Thessalonians 5. Let's go over there and let's see these suns of light now and the suns of dark. Did it say, the brethren are going to know? I can't hear you. Did it say, the brethren are going to know? Now verse 2, for you brethren yourself know. The brethren are going to know. The brethren are going to know what? They're going to know full well that the day of the Lord was going to come like a thief in the night. The thief in the night is coming in a spiritual darkness that the powers of darkness will turn loose while they are saying what? While they're saying peace and safety, then destruction is going to come upon who? Them! Who is them? The ones saying peace and safety, destruction is coming upon them. Don't you circle around each one and align between it. The ones who say peace and safety don't go to the beaches. Destruction is coming upon them. Suddenly like what? I can't hear you. Look at me. Do you remember what we've already seen? It's like a woman giving birth and they're going to look at one another. And the ones who want to hear you hear it on tape. Do you look at one another in astonishment? Pain, torment, all hell is turned loose by the proud exalting ones out of Isaiah 13. They are turned loose. As Revelation said, there's never been a time like this that pain and hell come on people in rebellion to God. And they're going to be the ones who say peace and safety. That's Babylon who are a stumbling block and a curse and a sorcery who sells families and people with a form of godliness and shed their blood. And that's how they do it. And it's going to come upon them suddenly like birth pains upon a woman with a child. They shall not escape. The ones who are saying peace and safety shall not escape. But you, Brethren, Brethren, Brethren, you're supposed to know this. Folks, did it say that Brethren are supposed to know these things are going to come? Look at me. Brethren, you cannot get no one. You can't get no one. You can get your best friend. You can get your wife. You can get your mother. You can get anybody you know. I'm telling you, you can't make them know these things unless they come to the light. You can't explain it. The powers of darkness, just like when you go to witness. When you go to witness, they begin talking to them and fill their mind full of speculation every time you go to them. And that's what happened to your family and best friend. They said, well, he's gone off the deep end. They can't hear it. Only the Spirit of God. Jesus is the only one that makes anybody hear. Folks, let me tell you something. You know what this eliminates? This eliminates all the big shots, folks. There's not but one. His name is Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah. And he stands in the middle of his church. He's in the middle of it. Now, but Brethren, you're not in darkness. If this day overtake you like a thief, Brethren, they're going to know it. For you are all what? I can't hear you. Sons of light obey the Word of God, don't they? They don't do the deeds of blackness. But you're all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night or darkness. Now, the Brethren know this. Amen? Okay, now. Now, folks, it's kind of hard on some of you if this is your first night here because we've been 10 days here building this up. Amen? So I'm going to tell you what. While you're trying to figure some of this out, just be repentant. Now, in verse 6, So then let us not what? Sleep. The Brethren are not going to sleep as what? Others do, but they're going to be what? Alert and sober, which we're warned to. Amen? Alright, now, who is asleep? Foolish virgins who have their own foundation. Amen? Who is alert and sober? The Brethren who put up the shield of faith against all the fiery darts of rebellion. The devil tried to put rebellion in the heart. Slander, anger, hate, murder, judgmental, judging your judge. Condemning your condemned. Unmerciful, you won't receive mercy. What you give out, it's going to pour it in your lap. You either listen to the devil or you listen to the Lord. If you put this seed, if you block off every other seed, and you just put this seed in on your land right here, your heart, you know what you're going to turn out to be? Your mind's going to be renewed. You're going to be conformed to the image of Jesus. You'll be the image and likeness of Jesus. You'll be holy and blameless. And when you see Him, you're going to be just like Him. Amen? Because no rebellion. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God who put to death the deeds of the flesh. And when you are led by the Spirit of God, you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5.16 And if you don't carry out the desires of the flesh, you're not carrying out any rebellion. Therefore, anyone who is led by the Spirit of God, they're not under the law. Galatians 5.18 You're not under judgment. But if you've got a form of godliness, you're deceived. And you're in battle. Now, so brethren know this. So what does brethren do? Folks, this Thursday night visitation has changed. When you go to share Jesus with someone now, you snatch them out of the fire. They've got smoke on them. And you bring them the truth. It's like an axe. For they're one heart and one mind. The Word says that they all speak the same thing. You speak the same thing when you have the fear of God. You don't run your mouth. You don't run into selfish ambitions. You don't try to put in your ideas. You kind of hear what God is saying. Folks, we've got a way to go. Don't take what we're saying right here and get a little spiritual pride and go try to beat somebody up with it. I'm going to tell you what. If you ever was a good steward of something, you better do it right now. There have been people at leftist meetings that demons have got on there and they've gone to whip up on some preacher or somebody that hasn't had an opportunity of grace to know what they know and they think they've got about that much truth and they go with spiritual pride to something. He'll answer for it. He'll answer for you. You go hinder the work of God. If this is the work of God, if your lives are being chained in here right now and you hinder it, you will answer for it. There's a day of judgment on you and judgment's on you right then when you do something against God. He'll turn loose the powers of darkness and they'll enter right into your body. You can do that by speaking and hindering the work of God. And they'll just lead you off into darkness Now let's get to verse 8. Then since we brethren are of the day let us be... what? We're going to be serious and sober. We're not going to be asleep and we're going to put on music. We're going to put on Ephesians 6 there. It is the weapons of the Lord, the best plate of faith, love, helance, and hope of salvation. Ephesians 6 is the only way you can stand against the wiles of the devil. Now verse 9, For God has not desened us for what? Wrath like that fellow over there in John 3.36 who wouldn't obey the Lord. asleep and we're going to put on what? We're going to put on Ephesians 6, there it is, the weapons of the Lord, the best plate of faith, love, hellment, and the hope of salvation. Ephesians 6 is the only way you can stand against the wiles of the devil. Now verse 9, For God has not destined us for what? Wrath, like that fellow over there in John 3.36 that wouldn't obey the Lord, and Colossians 3.5-8, and Ephesians 5.5-8, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen? How's that play? It's going to get good in a minute. Now I want you to see this, Luke 17 now, and it gets just a little stronger. Now how many was here, how many was here to hear me teach in lamentation? I taught that during the day, it was during the morning, wasn't it? Hold up your hands so I can just, well now the other. Now I showed this is a corpse, now I'm going to have to show them just a little bit of this, just a little review. Turn back between Ezekiel and Jeremiah and you see lamentations, okay? Now I want to show you what a dead body is. I'm going to show you a dead body, just real quickly. Now in Lamentations 1, and we see right here, verse 1, How long we sit the city? What's the city a type of? That was full of people, she's become like a widow, lost. She's once great among the nations, who was the princess among the provinces, and now she's become a what? Now what do you think the powers of darkness do to people? They'll make them a forced slaver, forced into slavery. Now Judah, verse 3, has gone in exile under affliction and under harsh servitude. Now that's a type of the people of God. She dwells among the nations, that means among the world, and she's found no what? Rest. Now there's no rest for those who are tormented and walking in rebellion in the heart. Amen? Now let's go on. And all her pursuers have overtaken her, and in the midst of distress, the roads of Zion are in mourning, because no one comes to the appointed feast. All her gates are desolate, no defense. Her priests are groaning, and the virgins are afflicted. That's sickness and demonizing, and she herself is bitter. Why? Verse 5. Her adversaries have become her masters. Her enemies prosper, for the Lord has caused her grief. That's the same grief that Jesus came for them in, what am I trying to think about? He bore our griefs in Isaiah 53, 4, and 5. Sometimes they just slip by you. But anyway, the Lord has caused her grief because the multitude of her transgressions, her little ways, have gone away as captives before the adversary. Now look at that. Did it say, if we see in 2 Corinthians 6, verse 14, do not be unevenly yoked, what is righteousness, how can righteousness and lawlessness walk together? How does lightness and darkness stay together? Amen? Then it says, now come out from the midst of her, and do not touch what is unclean. And then if you'll do this, then I'll be a father to you, and you're going to be sons and daughters to me. It goes on into the next verse, chapter 7, verse 1. It says, cleanse your heart from all defilement of the flesh, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord. Amen? Alright, now, look at where it is in verse 9. Her uncleanness was in her skirts, paltry, she did not consider her future, therefore she has what? Fallen astonishingly, she has what? She doesn't have no comforter, who is that? The Spirit of God, O Lord, see my affliction, the enemy is magnifying himself. Now look here, the adversary has stretched out his hand over all her precious things, she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary. Now we remember there in Psalm 74, look in verse 11, now here is the way it is today. All her people are groaning, they are seeking bread, they have given their precious things for food, and they are trying to store their lives themselves. See, O Lord, and look, for I am despised. Let's look up there in verse 14. The yoke of my transgression is bound, hit by his hand, they are knit together, they have come upon my neck. Now that is the yoke of the devil. He has made my strength fail. The Lord has given me into the hands of those against whom I am not able to stand. The powers of darkness come without the Lord. Now, look in verse 16 very carefully and get your big pencil ready. For these things I weep, my eyes run down with water, because far from me is the Comforter. Who is the Comforter? The one who restores your soul, because the spirit of God is not there. Because my children are desolate. Why? They have listened to the enemy. The flood has come in, they have listened to him, the heart has gone to him, because the enemy has prevailed. Now look in verse 18. The Lord is righteous. Why? I have rebelled against the word of God. Here now all peoples and behold my pain. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity. I called my lovers but they have deceived me. That is a lust. My pastors and preachers, my elders are perishing in the church city. What are they doing? They are sought food to restore them strength themselves. I am going to skip. Well, let's just go over in chapter 2 a couple of them. Now the Lord has covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger. Who is in his anger? The Lord. Amen. Let's look at verse 5. The Lord has become like a what? Is that becoming like a thief? He has swallowed up the church. He has swallowed up his palace. He has destroyed his strongholds. Do you remember Psalm 74? He has multiplied in the daughter of Judah. There it is, mourning and moaning. I am going to skip a whole bunch right now. Well, let me just go right there to verse 14. Your preachers, prophets, have seen for you these false and foolish visions, these doctrines, these carnal doctrines. They have not exposed your iniquity so as to restore you from captivity. But they have seen for you false and misleading oracles. You cannot be restored from the powers of darkness until there is repentance. There will not be repentance as long as you are receiving carnal doctrines that tell you it is all right to walk that way. Let me ask you something. Let me show you something. I want to tell you something profound. In the world today, do you know what psychiatrists and psychologists give you tests for? They give you tests to find out the things about jealousy, bitterness, hate, anger. They give those things to you and the tests point to the spiritual strongholds that are in your life. But do you know how they counsel with you? They counsel you and tell you how to live with it. That is what the counsel of the Church of Babylon is. They tell you how to live with it. You have a spiritual problem and Zion tells you how to get rid of it. You repent. They do not teach you repentance. So this is how psychiatrists and psychologists get you to counsel and tell you how to live with demons. Are you following what I am saying? If you hear what I am saying, hold up your hand. They tell you how to contend with it. Now let us just continue. Now, they have not exposed your iniquity so as to restore you from captivity. But they have seen for you false and misleading oracles. I can sit up here until I turn blue and I can never expose your sins except by reading the Bible to you. Now, I want you to know, we have done a little of that these last ten days, haven't we? Now look here. Go over to chapter 3, verse 37. Verse 37, Who is there who speaks, and it comes to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High? Now, I want you to know, I want you to watch this closely, that both good, that is the blessings, and the ill, which is the curses, go forth from the mouth of God. So why should any living mortal or any man offer complaint in view of their sins? Now examine and probe your ways and let us return to the Lord and lift up your heart and your hands in which direction? Lift them to heaven, it doesn't matter what Tyra Brown thinks. We have transgressed and rebelled, and thou hast not pardoned. Now, folks, let me tell you what you are seeing right here. Do you know what we have always seen? That the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky sometimes are used as a type of the powers of darkness, the vultures or the birds of prey or surrounders. We know we saw over in Jeremiah 15, verse 51, they surrounded Babylon. Babylon is supposed to be a type of the church. Now, I want you to see, do you know what you are looking, they are surrounded around? They are over a dead body. You are looking at a corpse. I wrote it in the very front of my Bible in some of the lamentations of God. I knew when I was writing it here. It is a corpse. Do you know what it is? It is a dead body. They are dead. They are spiritually dead. Do you hear me? All right, now, look in chapter 4, verse 11. The Lord has accomplished what? His wrath. Now, what is it? He has poured out his what? Now, when you see poured out, he has poured out the spirit of the devil, which is the fierce anger, which anger is who? Satan and the powers of darkness, which we have been reading about. He has kindled the what? Fire. They are the fire and they are the flood. That is what you are looking at in Zion, which has consumed what? Now, we have always seen that the powers of darkness come to shake foundation. Look at me, folks. They come to shake your foundation, and if you are standing on the word of God, when they come to you, you cannot be shaken because you have got to peel away. Now, if you have got yourself another doctrine over here, when they come along to you and say, well, it is peace, safety, you surely shall not die. You listen to them, and then you are living the ego, pride, rebellion, and all these things are in your heart, and you are worshiping the Lord in vain. Do you hear me? Over there, you are purifying and sanctifying your heart. Amen? And Jesus is Lord over your whole heart. Pride is not being idle. Anger is not being idle. Hate, world, things of the world. Amen? He is kindled of fire in Zion, and it has consumed its foundation. When your foundation is wrong, you are carried away. Is that right? I cannot hear you. Can you hear me? Can you hear me, Duvon? Now, verse 12. The kings of the earth did not believe. The leaders of the earth did not believe. Nor did any of the inhabitants of the world. They did not believe that the adversary, the powers of darkness, and the enemy could enter the gates of the church of Jerusalem. They did not believe it. Why did they get in there? Because of the sins of the prophets, preachers, and the iniquities of their pastors, who shed in their midst the blood of the righteous. They are babbling, teaching them a form of godliness, and the powers of darkness are taking people over and destroying them. Sickness, disease, killing, stealing, and destroying. Are you hearing me? Now, let's get back over there in Luke 17. I think this is probably as important as anything we can do right now, don't you? Luke 26. It's better than sitting up and smoking all night, isn't it? In Luke 17, we are going to start in Luke 17. When are you going to have to get me mixed up for? Luke 17, verse 26. Are you ready? And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it shall also be in the days of the Son of Man. Look at me. Look at me just a minute. May I ask you something? In the days of Noah, were the people's mind, their heart, intent, and thoughts evil, worthy? Did he send the flood of water, and he put the righteous in the ark, and all the wicked were destroyed? This ain't going to be the same way. That's not real complicated, is it? That's what we've been reading about for ten days right now. So, we see in verse 27, they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark. And then what came? The flood came and destroyed them all. Does it say this is going to happen the same way today? It was the same as happened in the days of Lot. What happened in the days of Lot? They were eating, they were drinking, they were selling, they were planting, and they were doing a lot of building. Wasn't they? Look at me. Probably using a lot of straws and brick. Egypt likes to get God's people and get their straw and brick and start building. Then he sends plagues on them. You remember what it said over in Babylon in Revelation 18? It said you better come out in the midst and do not participate in their plagues, participate in their sins, or you will receive of her plagues. The plagues are the same plagues that came on them. Of course, we know the locusts have changed a little bit, the powers of darkness, and some of these other things. But what did they have in Babylon? They had them doing straw and brick. What did they have them do in Babylon? They had them doing straw and brick. Building to make the outside look good while the inside is full of dead men's bones and self-indulgent. How shall you escape the sentence of hell? You don't go to heaven yourself and you block heaven from others. You cross over sea and land and you make a cross of lightning and he becomes twice the son of hell you are. How shall you escape the sentence of hell? That's a church of flesh and rebellion. It's a church of flesh and rebellion. Now what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah? Fire came down! May I ask you something? Look at me. Were there some people in Sodom and he took the righteous out and the fire destroyed? All right, now, there was a fire. But the righteous, did he put them in an ark in the days of Noah and then the flood came? Did the flood and the fire come today? Why are we just now seeing it? Do you hear a trumpet blowing, folks? Okay now, they were planting, they were building. That's how you fire in a flood. But on that day, verse 29, that lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, it destroyed them all. It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed. It destroyed them. So on that day, now watch me very closely, verse 31, let not the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house go down to take them away and likewise let not the one who is in the field turn back. You'd better not worry about your goods. Forget your goods. Look at me, verse 32. Look at me. Remember lots of what I've known. Have an eye right in here to look at me right now and show yourself. We see compared over in 2 Peter 2, we read it over where we started out in 2 Peter 2 about the part there in 2 Peter 2 where they talk about the false teachers, how the judgment of fire and flood is going to be on the people just like it was there. Do you remember that? It's also over in Jude, the same judgment, everybody looking at me. Right now, look at me. Right now, what does it say? Remember lots of what? How'd that get in there? Well, let me tell you something. There was a family of righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah. The angel of the Lord tells them, say, now, Lot, get your family out of here. All you righteous go on. Don't you never look back to this place. Don't you never look back. Don't you never ever look back to this place. And there they go. They start walking away. Don't look back. And here goes Lot's wife. Here's Lot's wife. Lot's wife. She's walking along. And her heart is still back there. It's still back there. And she just has to have one more, one more last look. And she became a pillar of thought. Her heart was not with God. It tells you. You better remember Lot's wife. Forget the goods of the world. Because now you know the truth. Now, next verse. Whoever seeks to save his flesh, life, is going to lose it. But whoever loses his life right here for the sake of Jesus, this is what you saw in 2 Corinthians 5, that you know you are a new creation. Old things have passed away. All things will come to you. You no longer look at me. You no longer live for yourself, but you live for Him who died for you, Jesus. So you lose your life, but you are going to preserve it. Verse 34, I tell you on that night there are going to be two men in one bed. One is going to be what? What's going to take them? The flood. The flood and the fire. And the other is going to be left. There are two women grinding at the same place. One will be taken and the other will be left. Two men will be in the field and one will be taken and the other will be left. And verse 37, and answering they said to him, Isn't that a good question? Hey, look at me. Where, Lord, are they going to be taken to? Where are they going to be taken to? And now you see it right there. And he said to them, where this dead body is in the fire, that's where the vultures are going to be gathered. The fire of the darkness. Where there are dead, dead doctrines, death, spiritually death. No life. The heart is living, the flesh is dead. The spirit is life and peace. Romans 8. Because the flesh is hostile to God, it will not subject itself to the word of God. So the vultures are gathered. The flood is going to come where the dead are. The dead who are walking in rebellion to God. I've got one other place. One other place. You've got time for one more place. But then let's go to Luke 21. It's just three chapters. All of a sudden it doesn't matter what time it is, does it? If it matters what time it is for you, I want to pray with you before you leave here. Now, Luke 21, verse 20. Now, are we supposed to be the heavenly Jerusalem? Okay. Now, here it is. Now, here's Babylon. When you see Jerusalem, it's going to be surrounded by what? Do you remember that the birds of prey were on every side we saw in Babylon there in Jeremiah 50, 51? Surrounding. Then you'd better recognize it as what? Desolation is what? Now, look at me, folks. These troops come in and they make desolate. That means no water, no fruit, no word, no grain. Amen? Are you hearing me? They're the abomination that come into the temple and they make desolate. Amen? Now, then let those who are in Judea flee the mountains, and let those who are where? In the midst of what? If you're in the midst of Babylon, you'd better depart. Amen? Okay. This is exactly what you see, and you know what you're seeing. Now, somebody's kind of missed the time or two. You need to kind of review a little bit. Right now in the city, but let those, and let not those who are in the country enter the city. You'd better stay out of the false bride, because these are the days of what? Now, you remember what we've been seeing? These are the days of vengeance in order that these things which are written may be what? It's going to be fulfilled, and this is what we've been reading these ten times. Woe to those who have child, and to those who what? Nursing babies in those days. I'm not going to bother to explain all that right now, because I just believe since we're go behind it. You couldn't handle it. It would keep you from receiving the rest of it. So let's just go on. For there will be what? I can't hear you! There's going to be great distress upon the land, and it's going to be what? Wrapped to who? Now, let's see who these people are. Now turn with me. Hold your place. Now, don't you lose your place. Colossians 3, verse 5. Let's look at verse 3. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Therefore, consider the members of your body, you're dead. You're dead to immorality, you're dead to impurity, you're dead to passion, you're dead to evil desire, you're dead to greed. All of these things amount to idolatry. Now, any of you think that the carnal doctrines and everything in 1 Corinthians 3 and so forth, if you're a carnal Christian, you should get those tapes of Bob's back there, if you hadn't already heard that message. So that's back there. It explains Colossians 3. Obviously, you have to cut this out of your Bible or 1 Corinthians 3 is wrong. Amen? So obviously there has been something wrong, because you've got ungodly carnal doctrines from some place. So then it says right here that immorality and impure heart and passion, evil desire and greed, all these things amount to idolatry. It's on account of what? These things at the what? The wrath of God is coming. It's going to come upon what things? All these impurities. And I'll look further. And in them, you circle in them, you also what? You once walked, unless you've got a carnal doctrine, you once walked there, which means you don't walk there anymore. Amen? You once walked there when you what? You were living in these kind of things, but now you put them all aside. You put aside angers right with them. You put aside wrath. You put aside malice. You put aside slander. You put aside abusive speech from your mouth. It goes on in verse 9 to say you laid aside the old cursed nature with its evil practices, unless you've got another doctrine. That's the gospel right there. Amen? Now turn back just a little bit to Ephesians 5. Ephesians 5, and I want you to remember this. Ephesians 5 verse 5, for you can know with certainty, you can know with certainty that no immoral, no impure person, no covetous man, or is an adulterer has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Now how'd that get in the Bible? Act like it's not in there. It's there. Let no one what? Let no one deceive you with what? Empty words, which means you can be deceived with empty words because of these things. The wrath of God is coming on who? The sons of disobedience is one whose hearts lives after the lust nature. The wrath of God has come upon them. Therefore, do not be what? You better not be partakers of them that goes on in verse 25 to 26 and 27, that Lord is coming for a church that's sanctified. In verse 26, he's going to cleanse her with a word of God, her heart from all rebellion, and he's going to have him a church in 27 that's holy and blameless, and that's who the bride is that gets herself ready. And you see it there in Ephesians 5 verse 3, or verse 1 and 3. Therefore, be imitators of God's beloved children. Verse 3, do not let immorality, impurity, greed even be named among you as proper among the saints. That's the church of Jesus Christ right there. It's not even named above them. Now, let's go back there to Luke 21. And we know that woe to those, verse 23, who are with child and to those who nursed babes in those days, for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to who? These people right there, it's a vengeance, and it's a church, and it's surrounded by the powers of darkness, because they're surrounded around the dead. Do you hear me? Now, go on to verse 24, and they're going to fall by the edge of what? The sword. What do we see the sword was? The sword is a curse. Amen? It's a judgment of God, and they will be led what? Captured by who? The powers of darkness into all the nations, and Jerusalem's going to be what? She's going to be trampled, it's going to be trampled underfoot by the what? The lost folks, Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, exactly what we'd be reading. Upon the earth, dismay among the nations, their perplexity at the what? What did we see the roaring of the seas? What? The powers of darkness. Is that what we saw? The powers of darkness. I told you later on, I was going to show you there, the roaring of the seas is the powers of darkness. That's a sound in the tumult on the mountains, it's the powers of darkness. Now, men are going to be fainting from what? Fear, and the expectation of things which are coming upon the world. For the powers of heaven will be shaken, and then you're going to see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now I want you folks to listen very carefully right here, verse 28. When these things begin to what? Take place. May I ask you something? Have these things begin to take place? You wouldn't even know it if it didn't take place. When these things begin to take place, you'd better straighten up and lift up your head, because your redemption is drawing near, brethren. And now verse 34. You'd better be on guard, you'd better be on guard, you'd better be on guard that your what? Look at me. The heart is the real you. Don't you think of this, pumper, the heart is the real you, it's living in this carton. The heart. You'd better be on guard that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and what? And drunkenness. Look at me, folks. Here you are. You'd better not be weighed down, stumbling and staggering. You'd better be walking in peace. You'd better not be stumbling and staggering. You'd better be headed for the light. You'd better be a sun of light. You'd better not be asleep with all these words, words, words, words and lies. Be on guard that your hearts may not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the what? Words of this life. Now what's the powers of darkness used in the parable of the word in Matthew 15, Mark 3 and Luke 8 to come, how they take the word out of your heart? With the words of the world, deceitfulness, riches, desires of other things, persecution and affliction. They use it to take the word out of your heart. They steal it out. They replace the word of God with the words of the heart. Well, to get you away you have to be worried about the world. You're just passing through this thing. Amen? Your heart's living for heavenly things, not earthly things. Amen? So, you'd better be on guard that your hearts, your hearts, your hearts, the hearts you believe are unrighteous with the hearts you believe are unrighteous. Your hearts may not be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness, worries of life, and that day come on you suddenly like a what? Trap! It'll come on you like a trap and a snare. That's exactly what we've been talking about. It'll come on you as a trap and a snare. The table of demons and the table of the Lord, you cannot walk with a divided heart. You overcome because the Spirit of God leads you to overcome. It's the Spirit of God leading, but you're led by another spirit. If you're led by carnal doctrines, if you're led, you'll not purify your hearts. Now, let's just continue. For it'll come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. So, you'd better keep on the what? You'd better keep on the alert at all times. You'd better keep on the alert all the time doing what? You'd better not be half asleep. Now, if you people that's been half just coming in and out while these things been, listen to me. I've seen different ones across this building right here. You've not been listening. You know what that shows me about your heart? If you could hear this right here, being read out of the Word of God, you're giving in, you're passive. Can I tell you you're passive? Let me look you right in the eye and tell you you're passive. You're passive. You've been passive. And hell's all over you. You'd better learn something about listening to what's being said. Because you'd better learn something about the fear of God, and you can't learn the fear of God if you don't know what's being said. You'd better wake up. You'd better wake up. Now, where you going? What you say about me or anything else? I've actually been reading the Bible to you. If you've got a problem with what I've said tonight, you've got a problem with Jesus. I've been reading the Bible to you all night for ten days. But you keep on the alert at all times. You'd better be praying in order that you may have what? Strength to what? Escape what? Who's going to come to take this strength? And if you're not praying, what do you think's going to happen? They'll move in on you. And then what? Look at me. Your vigorous stride will be shortened. And then you're just going to rot, and you're like a moth. That's a curse. That's a curse. And they just carry you in slow deterioration. You don't have any will, no vigor, and everything to stand. Praise God to know that. And when you don't have any strength, you won't stand. You'll be like, men will be like women. Just pass it. Don't believe Jesus. Hold on. I'm here with a big crowd right here. You can be here with a big crowd and go straight to hell. Do you understand what I'm telling you? You've been around a crowd a long time. I can see it. You've been around crowds, and you find security in numbers. That's the way they did in the mall. They didn't know a thing Jesus said. You'd better wake up. You'd better get your mind alert. I'm going to tell you right now, you've heard the Word of God. You'd better not walk out of here and think, ho-hum, I've got it like the rest of them. You've got zero. If you don't receive the Word of God and take it to heart, it can't perform its work. I didn't come here to please you. It's up to God whether you're pleased or not. Now you'd better be on alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all this that are about to take place and stand before the Son of Man. Well, Brother Green, I've got this, and this, and this, and this, and this. And I've got this, and this, and this, and this, and this. I've got this, and this, and this, and this, and this. Well, I'll tell you what I've got. I've got this, and I read it to you. So why don't you, just for a change, instead of walking around and getting people to vote on what you should do, why don't you go to make Jesus Christ Lord of all your heart and then be led by the Spirit of God?
