Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
We just come before your throne of grace with repentant hearts. We humble ourself, Lord, and Lord, we just ask you, your word to be quickened to give us revelation, enlighten our understanding, Lord, we humble ourself before you. We submit to the Lordship of Jesus and to the Word of God. And dear Lord, in Jesus' name I ask for anointing, Lord, I give you my will because I want only you to receive glory. We want to receive your word, Lord, so that we'll walk in a manner worthy of you to please you. Lord, we want to bear fruit with you, we want to walk in covenant, we want to increase in the knowledge of your word. And that your word would perform its work in us here tonight, we receive your word, we boast in your grace, we boast in you, Lord Jesus. There's none to compare with you, thank you, Lord, you're so worthy of praise. And now, Lord Jesus, we just receive the weapons of our warfare and the fruit of our spirit, and Lord, before your throne, as we come right now, we stand in your word, that your word is life to us and health to all our whole flesh, that you've already taken every weakness, sickness, disease, infirmity, curse, and sin, and by the stripes of Jesus, that we're healed, that we're strengthened in all power, Lord, by your might, that we're strong in the Lord. The joy of the Lord is our strength, Lord, that you destroyed all the works of darkness, and all things around the feet of Jesus, and you've been given the head of the church, which is us, and we stand in agreement that all these powers of darkness have already been bound and defeated in Jesus' name, so we take your covenant word in the name of Jesus, we take your covenant word in your name, Lord, and we stand and always triumph in Jesus, so in the name, power, and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, Lord, I hold the word, I receive grace, the word, and the blood, I hold this word and the blood against all the works of darkness, all the works of sleepiness and tiredness, I renew it now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I remove in Jesus' name all the works of traditions and unbelief in Jesus' name, all the works of exhaustion and weakness in Jesus' name, all the works of ache and pain in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is exposed by the blood and removed in the name of Jesus. We tear down every stronghold in the name of Jesus, we break every curse, and in the name of Jesus, we expose by the blood, seal by the blood, and remove in the name of Jesus all the powers of darkness, all heaviness, all oppression is removed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ from every person here in this building, and from this building in the name of Jesus, and we now hold the word and the blood as a hedge against the powers of darkness in this building, we possess in Jesus' name, we possess the land, and now in the name of Jesus, we speak blessings, peace, grace, love, healing, and deliverance in the name of Jesus. Praise the Lord. Do you receive that? Well, amen. Are you about half excited about Jesus tonight? Is he more exciting than carton ball games? Is life more exciting than death? Is light more exciting than darkness? Well, amen. Jesus said, the works that I do in my Father's name is a witness of me. He told some folks, if you do not believe, though you do not believe in me, believe the works and know that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. And then at one point he said, Church folks, how can you believe when you honor one another and do not seek the honor from the one and only God? You know, man kind of gets to be the center of the church, wondering who is in charge of all that. And they were saying, how has this man ever become learned since he has never been educated? And Jesus said, why don't you pose this answer that he told them. If any man is willing to do the will of the Father, if he is willing in his heart to do the will, then he is going to know the teaching, whether it is God or whether I speak for myself. When once you are willing to do in your heart the will of God, he has always said his words not for private interpretation, he is no respecter of any people, he will lead you into all truth. When your will is given to him, that is covenant, you die to yourself, he is dying. And he asked them, he said, why is it you can't understand what I am saying? It's because you can't hear my word. So you are the Father of the devil. He speaks from his own devilish nature desires and more or less he is saying, you do too. Here is the words of God, he said, for this reason you do not hear, because you are not a God. Truly, truly, he said to you, he said it twice, he who believes in me, the works I do, the one that believes in me, that's covenant. The works I do shall he do also. He said, if you love me, you obey my commandments. In other words, if you really love me, you are walking covenant. That is covenant love, isn't it? And many of the rulers came to believe in him, but they were not confessing him or confessing his word, lest they be put out of the church or synagogue. For they loved the approval of men rather than they did the approval of God. And some of the chief priests, that's chief preachers, some of the chief preachers convened a council and they said, what are we doing? This man is performing many signs. If we continue to leave him alone, soon everybody is going to follow him. Jesus said, if any man wishes to come after me, let him take up his cross. He'll deny himself and take up his cross and then he'll come after me. He said, but whoever wishes to save his life, whoever wishes to save his life, that's not covenant. That's not covenant when you want to save your life. Whoever wishes to save his carton and life is going to lose it. But whoever loses his life for my sake and the covenant that he's made with me, that is the only way he's going to save it. For what does it profit a man? One man, if he owned his whole world, if he owned his whole world and loses his soul because one soul is worth more than all the world. He said, whoever rejects me and this word right here has one who is going to judge him in the last days. Because he said, the words I speak are the ones that are going to judge man in the last days. And it won't judge his motives, I mean it won't judge how he appears to people, but it will judge his motives. It will judge his heart. Now, I want you to turn with me to Revelation 12, please. There is a war against this covenant, isn't there? Obviously, don't you sense rather strongly that there has been a great perversion and deception of many things? Amen? Revelation 12. I've forgotten the lady's name here that was in charge of the retreat center over here years ago. What is her name? What, pardon me? Lois? Lois Pierce. All right. She spoke to me a while ago, and immediately I remembered her. Some years ago, when I came here as a new Christian, starved to death to the retreat center. My wife and I came here, and she told me, she said, over the years, you've always come back. Of all the hundreds of people that came through, your face and your name would come back. And when I first heard that the Lord was using you, son, I immediately knew who it was. Isn't that precious? That she had been praying for me all these years. See, because what I was saying, I was really serious. See, even Peter and Jack Taylor and even you don't realize, you don't have any idea how God has used you in my life. You can't know. You can't know what a place I was and what a place it was to have tapes from here, to be able to come here. I saw the first person anointed with oil in this church. See, I'd already been healed. And I like that. But anyway, in Revelation 12, I want you to look with me in verse 9. It's a good thing that when God uses us, he hides from us what he does with us. Do you know that? Because I tell you what, I am so humbled, I am so awed, and it doesn't even compute with me. And I notice the same thing about Peter. It doesn't compute to him how the Lord... Now, that's grace. Do you know that? Cardins couldn't take it. You know what I mean? Well, then in verse 9, And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old, who is called devil and Satan, who what? What does he do right there? Deceives the whole world. Now, this is how it's all ending up over here in Revelation. Now, how is he deceiving the whole world? I'll tell you just exactly the way we've been talking about here. Now, I want you to know that right here is a word. Is that right? And this, I want to tell you something about this word. Let me just tell you something. I've been born again into a living hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. My inheritance is incorruptible, undefiled, fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for me, and I'm kept by the power of God through faith and through salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. You know what's coming out of me? Rivers of living water is coming out of my innermost being. That's the living word. Isn't that right? That's true. Now, have we already seen it? Everything God has a real thing, there is the counterfeit, right? Satan has a river, too. And all words are just referred to as water, right? Our river. See, God has a rain, amen? Sometime referred to as the Holy Spirit. So does Satan. I mean, it's just rain and a bunch. All right, now. As sure as there's a river of water that comes out of God's mouth, which is right here, to you there is a river of words and deception and deceit to test your heart, which comes from Satan, deceive you. And now, I want you to see this. We'll look at it in verse 15. And the serpent, verse 15, the serpent poured what? I want you to just write words above that. That's what he's saying. He poured words like a what? River out of his what? And who cares these words to and fro? The demons do. Out of his mouth after the woman. Who's the woman? The church. So that he might cause her to be swept away with a what? See, it's a flood of words. You see that? Now, see, there is a counterfeit. And this is how Satan deceives the whole world. With words. And we've been looking at that, haven't we? Now, I want you to turn with me back to Luke 6. Luke 6, please. Luke 6. Now, the Lord has some words to you. Satan has words to you. I Corinthians 3 and 9 say this is God's field. You ever hear, I give ground and take ground. All right, now let's see. What's planted in your field? Let's look in verse 43. 643. For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit. We know where the tree is in the field, right? A good tree does not produce bad fruit. No, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit. Is that... His fruit's getting more interesting all the time, isn't it? Now, Jesus, when you enter into covenant with the Lord, God said, I'm going to keep this covenant. Not one word returned void, thou shalt accomplish what I desire, and succeeding in the matter which is any. He talks about yods and diddles. Should we be any less serious about it? That's what's got us in trouble. Traditions and men and enemies commits to us. You know, we just analyze it instead of walk in it. Speculate. So, if you're in covenant, a good way to know... If Jesus Christ is your Lord, you're in covenant. When someone's your Lord, you do what they say, don't you? When I made covenant, it's all about making covenant with Peter Lord. I mean, brother, I tell you, that's the most sacred thing that you can do when you make covenant. Right now, I want you to watch. When you make covenant with God, look at verse 46. And Jesus asked this question, Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? Isn't that an interesting verse? He said, Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? Walk in covenant. And then verse 47. I want you to get your pencil ready. He goes on to say, Everyone who... Put a little one there. Comes to me. First, they come to Jesus. And then number two, here's my words. You know, a lot of people come to Jesus. Some hear his words. But then there's a third thing. He acts upon the Word. In other words, he walks in covenant and walks in the Word. We put a little three there. Now, I'm going to show him who he's like. You're going to have a look at two houses there. Do you know where God's house and God's building? First Corinthians 3 and 9 is where his field. That's where he works. We're a vineyard. And he said, I'm going to show you whom he's like. That's a man. He comes to Jesus. He hears the Word of God and walks in covenant. Is that what you see right there? All right, here's what he's like right there in the next verse, 48. He's like a man building a house who dug deep. He laid a foundation. Now, I want you to mark that foundation. That foundation's up on the what? Now, when you obey the Word of God, when you walk in covenant, your foundation, that's where you get on the rock. The rock's Jesus. The rock's the Word, right? All right, now. And when the what arose? That's them. Right there above it. Here they are. Isn't that interesting? And when the flood arose, there's the torrent, there's your river. It burst against that house and could not shake it because it'd been what? Well, bet when you're walking in covenant on the Word, that's the only thing that's going to protect you. That's people that's got something else worked out that's going to be in problem. All right, now, verse 49. But the one, here's another fellow right here. He's real religious. But the one, number one, who's heard the Word. I want you to put a little one there. And he's got something else worked out so he doesn't act on the Word. He doesn't walk in covenant. That's Jesus. Say, why'd he call me Lord, Lord and not do what I say? Let's see what happens to this fellow. He's like a man who built a house upon the ground without any what? Foundation. And when, here they come. As them, the river, the torrent, came against this house and immediately it collapsed. And the ruin of that house was what? Now, you're going to find out, you know, when we get to Matthew here later. You're going to see that the demon leaves the house. This is a house, folks, called a tent. Now, I'm going to tell you something. There's been a lot of perversion, a lot of deception, while we've been so smart and wise in our own eyes. You don't have to walk in God's covenant. You work something else out. That's deception. That's making covenant with Satan. You can't make covenant with Satan and walk with the Lord. Now, I want you to look with me in Matthew 7, and you'll find it very, very interesting about heaven and hell. And that's the bottom line. That's what we're talking about. It's too serious. I mean it's very serious. Matthew 7. And I want you to start with me in verse 13. Well, I'm going to tell you, I hope you get ready to do some marketing in your Bible because the Lord wants this to become yours. And I'm going to tell you what. Just as many things have been perverted, I can stand right here and I can tell you in Jesus' name that salvation is very perverted, as we've known it and heard it. I'm telling you salvation is making Jesus Christ the Lord and entering into covenant with God. How are you going to get into Christ Jesus making covenant with Satan? How are you going to go to heaven walking, talking, and making covenant with Satan for the same reason he got kicked out of heaven for? That's perverted grace. Perverted. That's what happens when you're in a war and you don't show up. You believe a lie. Chapter 7, verse 13. I want you to mark it. You enter by the what kind of gate? I want you to know it's a narrow gate. And you better believe that. It's a narrow gate for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction. It's a big old wide gate for destruction. Mark destruction. And many are those who are going to enter by that wide way. It's an easy way to get in. For the gate is what? I want you to mark that gate as small right there. This small door. And the way is what? Narrow that leads to what? And few of those are going to find it. Now let me tell you what we've done. I think we made that door a little wide. Wider than it's supposed to be, don't you? I think we widened it out. And the devil and the wolves, terrors, and everything else comes in that door, right? And it goes ahead in verse 15. It says, Beware of what? You remember when you used to read this and you'd say, Boy, they sure did have a lot of problems back then, didn't they? Beware of false prophets who come to you in what? Cheap clothing. Let's see what's inside of them. Inwardly, they're what? Sound like them, doesn't it? Seem like somebody's pulling their levers. See a false prophet? Don't know he's a false prophet. He's tool of the devil. He's minister of Satan. He doesn't know it. He thinks he's helping God out. Now he has on cheap clothing. See, if you're the type that looks up to men, see, you know the Word says this, we're not even supposed to know one another, ain't there, flesh? But if you're the type that, you don't like to look up to cartons, maybe you like credentials. Not that there might be anything wrong with credentials, but if that's where your heart's going to them, that could be cheap clothing. Maybe a sheepskin could be cheap clothing. Credentials are not God. I'm going to tell you a false prophet or an angel like come to you with tears running off his cheek and quoting the Word. You better know what your Bible says. Now, it tells you how to know them in verse 16. You're going to know them by their what? Well, that makes this fruit business that's getting very interesting, isn't it? You're going to know them by their fruit. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? Even so, watch it again, every good tree bears what? Good fruit. And every bad tree bears what? Well, you can tell good trees receive bad fruit. If it looks like to me, you're looking at a bad tree, doesn't it? Amen? Verse 18, A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is what? There they are again. It's cut down, sick them. They want to make covenant with Satan, you get them, Satan, get them. They choose you, they like you, Satan, they make covenant with you, cut them down, sick them. And they're thrown into the fire. So God wouldn't do something like that. Maybe the God you wouldn't know wouldn't, but I'll tell you this, when you're reading about it, it's doing it. So then you're going to know them by their what? Fruits. Now, we always run about two or three of these every night. And there's another refrigerator verse right here. You can put it right on. I just ease this one up the top, it tells who's going to go to heaven. That's pretty serious, isn't it? That's a good one to look at every day. Before you go out in this world, it's controlled by God's enemies. 21, Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will end the kingdom of heaven. Now, does that sound like there's going to be a bunch of folks who's going to say, Lord, Lord, and miss Him for eternity, forever, because they believe the lie? Do you see this? Now, everybody says, Lord, Lord, going to go to heaven. Well, God, who is going to go to heaven? It's right there in this same verse. The ones that's going to go to heaven. Isn't that a good question, who's going to go to heaven? But He what? Does the will of our fathers in heaven, the ones that are going to go to heaven, unless you've got something else worked out. Now, is that plain? Is it going to say this and then say something else somewhere? Is this says someone that analyzes the word real well? Or is it say someone that walks in covenant? Is that what it's saying over and over and over again? All right? Now, 22, Now, I want you to know just because God uses a man, you're going to find out in some grace and something that He does to a man, it's not a sanction on his life. I want you to know that right now. And you're going to see it in this verse. We better get our eyes off the cartons and hear the word, right? Let's see right here what it says. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in the name of Jesus? In your name, the name of Jesus, cast out demons. In your name, Jesus performed many miracles. I don't know about the ones that won't even believe in demons and miracles. They did it all in the name of Jesus. And you're going to see how important walking in covenant is. Look here in the next verse. And then I'll declare to them, I never knew you. That's the saddest verse in the Bible. He said, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice sin. See, now, you understand, folks, that you can get in different situations in this world if the devil had put you there. And when you compare yourself among yourself, then you can justify sin, practicing sin. But when you justify it, there's death and then judgment. What are you going to do there? It's all over for you. It's heaven or hell. Now, you already know that there's some folks that show up and tell you, hath God really said? And they've been said to a lot of people. Isn't that right? Oh, don't you think about this a second. I mean, it's serious. See, that's why the church is demonized from top to bottom. It's sick. Now, we're going to look at these two foundations starting in verse 24. Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine, remember, he hears them, and then he acts upon them, may be compared to what kind of man? You hear the word over and over, ask who is wise, who is wise, who is a wise man? Who is a wise man that will understand this? Well, I'm going to tell you, a wise man, he hears the word of God and walks in covenant. That's who a wise man is. He built his house upon the rock. We know that's a word. And the rain descended. That's them. The rain descended. Here they are. And the floods came. There they are. And the winds blew. I told you winds was words. And it burst against that house, and yet it did not fall, for it had been found upon the what? Do you understand? That's what's taking place today. I'm going to tell you right now, there's never been a time of trouble or anything else like they are today. Right now, there's some shaking going on. I want to tell you there's some shaking going on. And after this, everything, it's only the ones that's on this Word right here is going to remain. I'm going to tell you what, they're going to be a world church. Can you see it? They no problem see that. What do you think is going to happen to people that don't have any interest in this Word right here? We've already seen enough. And the Word's dividing. I mean, the Word, he said the Word divides your home. Father and son, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, divide your own home. That divides everything. What's this business come from that he'll come and split your church? The Word of God's what splits. It's already split, full of terrors and devils, taking the table of demons and then taking the table of God. That's a joke. That's why people sit around and count each other. God's not doing nothing in that. And 25, I'll read it again. The rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew, and it burst against the house, and yet it did not fall. It had been found upon the rock. And here's the other person. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and he doesn't have to act upon them. Isn't that amazing? He, just like a foolish man, had built his house upon the sand, and the rain descended. Here they come again. And the floods came, and he makes covenant with them. The winds blew, and it burst against that house, and it fell. And I want you to watch right there what it says. What's it say? Great was its fall. Is that right? Well, I want you to know something. If demons can't prevent something, they pervert it. The powers of darkness have perverted it. I'm telling you. I want you to just look and see what they've been doing, why we've been ignoring them. They perverted salvation. They perverted this whole thing about demons. I mean, you know, you're supposed to talk about that part of the Bible. Intimidated and fearful. And it's been real convenient for them. They perverted healing. They perverted praise in the Lord. Praise? That's something Satan used to... If you want to get the devil out of the house, you start praising the Lord. If you want to get God's presence, you start praising Him. If you're more concerned about what Terry Brown is thinking about, you just don't praise Him and hang in there. They perverted gifts. They perverted righteousness. And, you know, people talk about 75% of the church lost, any evangelist and everything. Well, it goes through the church. He sees the loss, and then some of it, it used to be high spiritual to see that. See, people are sitting in these congregations, they're not trusting the Lord. You know what their hearts are trusting? They're trusting in these buildings, like this building, some kind of vehicle going to take them into heaven. Their hearts are trusting men. They feel security in numbers. They look around in all these nice gardens and say, well, you know, boy, God sure wouldn't send these folks to hell. That's probably what the Pharisees thought, wasn't it? Probably the same. They were the same demons. They trusted denominations and theology. Their hearts go after intellect and things like this. That's the doctrines of demons, folks, to take the focus off of Jesus. That's what's happened to us while we've been asleep. And this is what God needs to grace today. He's waking us up. He's getting us out. I'm going to tell you what. It's deception. See, there's a difference in analyzing God's Word than speculating and walking in God's covenant. Now, why don't you turn to 2 Timothy 2, and we're going to look at that. 2 Timothy 2, please. 2 Timothy 2. Boy, praise Jesus. Boy, I tell you, praise the Lord. Boy, I'm telling you what, the more I see, it's just all Him. He just can't handle it. You know something? That's why I think the grace is getting in a position to see it's totally all Him. All right, now, here they are. I want you to look at these words right here. We're talking about words that comes against the Word. We're talking about these flood of words, these lies that come against the Word of God, covenant. All right, now in 14. Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God, not to what? Don't wrangle about words, mark that, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent. In other words, if you want to be approved to God here is what He said to you do. Study to present yourself, what? Approved to God is a workman who does not need to be ashamed. Handle inaccurately the Word of truth, but avoid worldly and empty chatter. Do not walk and talk like the world. Is that what your Bible says? It's empty, for it'll lead to the further ungodliness, and their talk's going to spread like what? That's what words do. You know, I said something about the root of bitterness, spring up and defile many. We see how that works. Look over there in verse 23. Here's some of this speculation and analyzing of God's Word. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculation. God says speculations, analyzing, instead of walking the Word, is foolish and ignorant. Knowing that they produce quarrels, and the Lord's bond servant, we're not supposed to be quarrelsome. If you ever know any truth, you let your light shine. You don't go stick your light down somebody's throat. I like that. James shared about that. And the Lord's bond servant doesn't be quarrelsome, but he's got to be kind, able to teach patient when wrong. Now, that's what the Lord works with. He works with that sheer love. Now, don't you know this person in speculation, analyzing, is he in opposition to God's Word? Shake your head. Over here. You shake your head over here. Is that right? All right. He is in opposition to God's Word. And said, here's what you're supposed to do with gentleness, correcting those who are in want. Mark that. If God may grant them the next thing, they need to repent. Look there. If God may grant them what? Repentance. That's a change of heart. We're going to look and see where the source of all this speculation and stuff is. And then they're led to the knowledge of the want. You get the truth after you repent. And then the next part, after you get the truth, the next part is in verse 26, and then they come to their senses and escape from the snare of who? That's them. Having been held captive by him to do whose will? He's doing the will of the devil. Doing the will of the devil likes a lot of speculation. You remember now, listen to me. In 2 Corinthians 10, that's what the war was to tear down speculation. Speculation is what happens when you go to witness to someone. Turn with me back to Ezekiel 13, please. Ezekiel 13, 13. We're going to look some more at some false prophets, false teachers. Are we the Israel of God? We are the spiritual Israel of God. Now verse 1, Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, you prophesy against the what? That's the prophets of the church, the prophets of Israel, who prophesy and say to those who prophesy from their what? They preach from their own inspiration. Have you circled on inspiration yet? They preach from their own inspiration. Listen to the word of the Lord, they say. Thus says the Lord God, Woe to these foolish prophets who are following what? Their own spirit and have seen what? I hope you mark that as you go. You may need to read that to somebody sometime. Oh, is it your prophets have been like foxes among the ruins? You have not gone into the what? Boy, listen to me. I'll tell you how you keep from going to breaches. Get intimidated. Be fearful. Want to please folks, and you'll back off from the word of God instead of taking the word of God and putting the word up there and saying, In Jesus' name, I mean, when it's breached down, the place where the devil comes in around your house, around this place, then you get your lives lined up with the word right there, and that's how you put the breach up there. God says do it this way. Say, God, I stand right here. That's how you go up the breaches. But if you've got a real nice program, just hang in there. You don't put programs into the breaches, you put the word of God. Now, you have not gone into the breaches, nor did you build a wall around the house of Israel to what? Stand in the battle. You believe we might be in a battle now? Yeah, but we always think there's a war. We stand in battle on the day of the Lord. Now, the day of the Lord, don't think of any 24-hour day for the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord can be a thousand years. I don't have any problem with us being in the day of the Lord right now. Now, verse 6, They see falsehood and what? These prophets, they see falsehood and lie in the devil, that sound like traditions, who are saying the Lord declares when the Lord has not sent them, yet what are they hoping for? Their word, you know why they want the fulfillment of their word? Because they want their curtains to look good. They're not trying to make God look good. They want the fulfillment of their word. They want to make a name for themselves or their ministry. Verse 7, Did you see a false vision and speak of what? Lying divination when you said the Lord declares, but is not I who spoken? And so God's got something for folks like this. We're going to see what it is in a minute. Verse 8, Therefore thus says the Lord God, because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, I'm what? I'm against you, declares the Lord God. So my hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They'll have no place in the what? They're not going to have any place in the council of my people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I'm the Lord God. It is definitely because these false prophets have what? They mislead people. They don't even know that they're false prophets, that they're deceived. They mislead the people, but God's not blessing their ignorance, is he? They misled my people. Well, what are they saying to them? Peace when there is no peace. When there's not peace, what is it? There's a war. This is what they say is going to be in Thessalonians, going to be happening on the last day. They're going to be saying peace and safety. That's going to be a sleeping church. And I'm going to tell you what, when we start lining up this word the way we're supposed to, you know what they're going to be? You talk about being persecuted and everything. I'm going to tell you, you're going to be so much different by the world. If you ever did have a Jim Jones name, you're going to get one, going off the deep end, seeing a demon and all that. But if you've got a little bit of pride and a little bit of reputation you're trying to build up, you'll just back right off of it because you know your reputation and pride, the pride that the enemy's put in you is more important than walking in the Word. Do you see that? That's deception. So they misled my people by saying peace when there is no peace. And then when anyone builds a wall, see, they're not building a wall with the Word. You know what they do? They plaster it over with whitewash. It looks good, doesn't it? Until that flood gets there. You know, I'll tell you, the demons don't come and mess with the paint, do they? I mean, it just looks real pretty. They don't come and peel the paint off or tear the bricks out or something. They just tear the folks up. See, it depends on where you're looking at something, either the natural or the spiritual. They like to have nice buildings. Anything to please a carton. So, tell those who plaster it over with the what? Whitewash, it's going to fall. What's going to come? That's them. There they are again. They're going to come. Sick them. Sick them. They're lying about me. A flooding rain will come and you old hell stones will fall. And what kind of wind? Now, I want you to remember that. When you see violence, I want you to always know that's a manifestation of the enemy. A violent wind will break out. Behold, when the wall is fallen, will you not be asked, well, where is the plaster with which you plastered it? Therefore, thus the Lord says, I'll make the what kind of wind? A violent wind break out in my what? Now, have I told you before, when you see God's wrath or when you see His anger, the next thing He says is, Sick them. Have I already told you that? Now, I'm going to tell you, just look for that all through the road, without word, that when He's angry, or when the wrath is there, He moves the hedge and He says, Sick them. Now, I'm telling you here, and you'll see a bunch of it tomorrow, tomorrow it's going to be so good. You're just going to start reading your Bible so good. I'll make a violent wind break out in my what? Wrath. Therefore, also be in my what? Anger. There's anger and wrath. Then here it come, a flooding rain. There they are. And hell's songs to what? They're going to consume it in wrath, so I'll tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash. There's plenty of those. I'll bring it down to the ground so that it's what? You know, we've already seen in Luke 6 and Matthew 7, that's where they come against the foundation, huh? And if the foundation's not right here, they've had it. Is that right? Only the covenant of God's going to protect anybody. That's the reason God came here to make covenant with folks. They'd already had it. Smoke on them. And a hell waiting on them. And God brought Jesus, sent Jesus to make a provision. So this foundation is laid barren. When it falls, you will be consumed in its midst and you'll know that I'm the Lord. Thus I shall spend my what? I'll spend my wrath on the wall and those who plastered it over with whitewash. And I'll say to you, the wall is gone and its plasterers are gone, along with the prophets of Israel who preached to Jerusalem and who see what kind of visions of peace for her when there is no peace, declares the Lord. No demons can get to us. There's no war for us. You just peace and safety. You just keep tithing, good, and we'll just keep building. And see, we don't know anything about commitment and walking with God because it's deception. See, we've been making a commitment to church and denomination and things like that instead of Jesus. So that calls your heart. I don't want you to remember something that since Exodus God's had Israel. That's a covenant people, a spiritual Israel. And we already know in Romans 9 that all those who are Israel are not Israel but the ones inwardly. It's not the flesh Israel, it's Israel. And so anyway, this is what Paul said at one time about the church. Now I want you to listen to me. In Romans 10 he said, I pray for the church. Now see if you can relate this today. He said, I pray for the church. They have a zeal for God. They have a zeal for Him, but it's not according to this Word. He said the church is ignorant of the righteousness of God walking with the Lord. They're ignorant of it. And being ignorant, they establish their own righteousness which is self-righteousness. And then, therefore, they do not submit to the righteousness that comes from this Word. You know what God is saying to us? You better come to this righteousness. And we know back there, that's the first three verses of Romans 10. And it's on your notes. And in Romans 9, 32, you know, chapter 4 there, they pursued righteousness as though by works. That's what's been happening. See, that's the work of demons. You know, that's what gets you to earn your way into heaven or something. Build a tower some way besides grace. There's only one righteousness according to God's Word. There's not a Baptist righteousness, a Pentecostal righteousness, or a Methodist righteousness. There's not a Pentecostal Jesus and a Baptist Jesus and a charismatic Jesus. There's not a Baptist gospel and a Methodist gospel and a Pentecostal gospel. There's one gospel, there's one Jesus, and there's only one righteousness. And one structure. One church. That's it. See, they had this church structure that they had back there. I won't turn to it because I want to cover a lot of territory, but it's on your notes right there. I want you to compare what that church structure back then to something you might see today. In Luke 18, 9, it said they trusted in themselves that they were righteous. Do you see any of that today? Any structures that kind of trusted in themselves that they were righteous? And it said they viewed others with contempt. That's the Pharisees that got deceived. Aren't you glad it's not like that today? See, many people love their traditions more than the Word of God. Did you know that? See, a person that loves his traditions more than the Word of God, that's where his heart goes. I'm going to tell you, he's not teachable. See, because when anybody's going after traditions, he's going to have to unlearn some things. I mean, it's hard. It's a lot harder for somebody to have to unlearn something than to just walk right into the truth. And there's going to have to be some unlearning done, but people that love their traditions more in their heart will not unlearn anything. They're unwilling to unlearn. He'd rather defend his traditions and denomination rather than the Word of God. Have you ever seen people get one of those idols or calves rise up in there when something touched their denomination? Boy, don't touch it. I mean, it's getting... How many people do you watch do that over the Word of God when they see it perverted? See, people in tradition rather teach what they've been taught rather than teach the Word of God. See, that's the difference. Why don't you turn to me in Mark 7? You're going to like it. I'll tell you before you get there. Do you believe Mark 7 is true? Okay, let's go ahead and read it then. Mark 7. Praise your name, Lord. Go on, I'm telling you. You can't see anything without grace. All right, then. He had something to say to these kind of church folks that trusted in himself. They were righteous and viewed others with contempt. Let's see what he said to them, starting in verse 6. And he said to them... Mark 7, verse 6. And he said to them rightly, Did Isaiah prophesy, you hypocrites? He's trying to please them again. And it is written. These people in tradition, they honor me with their what? Their mouth. But their what is far away from me. See, I'll tell you what. You can find out where somebody's heart is when it comes to the Word of God, or maybe a ball game. Or the Word of God, or a number of things. I mean, it's kind of dull. People don't have any understanding of it because they don't come to the whole heart. But their heart is far from me. Now, don't you watch in verse 7. But in vain. Will you mark in vain? Do they worship me? They might as well stay home and read the paper. They're teaching this doctrines of precepts of men. In other words, they teach opinions of men as the Word of God. There's some people that will have a little lesson that comes out. Sometime they go out, and you know, to teach people in Sunday schools and things like that. Maybe one man wrote it. And sometimes when you've got some kind of literature or something like that, and you start to get out your Bible or something like that, you can get thrown out of one of these Sunday school rooms if you start reading something out of your Bible. Because, I mean, after all, we've got some structure material. So, you know what? Listen to me. If he misses it, a few million go in darkness, and I've watched them miss it a bunch all the time. Let's see. We better stop there. Alright, so here's what happens. Verse 8. Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to what? Traditions of men. He was also saying to them, you nicely set aside the Word of God, the commandment of God, the covenant of God, in order to keep what? Traditions. Alright, what happens when your heart goes after traditions and you set aside the Word of God? In verse 13. Thus you invalidate the Word of God. In other words, it's of no effect. The Word of God doesn't work. By your what? Tradition, which you've handed down, and you do many things such as that. Well, I'm going to tell you something, folks. Please turn with me to Matthew 15. Now, Jesus, if you'll act like a Baptist, you can come down here and fellowship with us. Jesus, if you act like a Methodist, you can come down here and fellowship with us. Jesus, if you act like a Charismatic, you can come and fellowship with us. Jesus, if you act like a Pentecostal, you can come down and fellowship with us. Jesus, if you act like a Mormon, you can come down here and fellowship with us. See, as many people, they've got a whole lot of roles picked out for Jesus, haven't they? Huh? Let me tell you, He doesn't fit in any boxes. All right, now, these people had to find it out the hard way. Chapter 15, verse 1. Now, watch what they ask Him. I'm telling you what, I could just almost shout over this. I'm going to tell you what, I don't know whether you're going to be able to stand it or not. Boy, I'm telling you what, I'd just like to hear, boy, I'd just like to hear Him just how He says these things. I believe I already can. Read verse 1. Now, you haven't already read it, have you? Then some Pharisees, reckon any of them around anymore? Aren't you glad those old Pharisee demons are dead? Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying, Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? Why do you break our tradition, Jesus? Isn't that silly? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. Is that dumb? Now, watch how Jesus, look Him right in the eye, what He said. He answered and said to Him, Why do you yourself transgress the Word of God for the sake of your tradition? Is that plain? Do you understand that, Pharisee? Hypocrite! Look what He said down there in 19. For out of the heart comes evil thoughts. People that wash their hands and all that stuff, they're not ever thinking about their heart. They're too busy having contempt for everyone else. Verse 19. For out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, theft, false witness, slanders. Do you see that coming out of a person's heart? And I want you to mark 20. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands doesn't defile a man. See what traditions do? That's a form of godliness. That's not godliness. What is worse than your hands before you have anything to do with murder in your heart? Well, He got around to him in verse 7. He said, You hypocrites. Rightly did Isaiah prophesy you, saying, This people honor me with their lips, and their heart is far away from me. But in vain do they worship me. He just keeps saying that. Teaching his doctrines are the opinions of men. Teaching his doctrines are the precepts of men. You know, He's already warned over in Ephesians 4, 14, that you're not going to be tossed about by waves. That's words. And ever when a doctrine, ever were the doctrine. And be carried away. We know about that, being carried away. You can be carried away. You can be carried away from right here. And He said something else to them. He said something to this congregation right here. He had a little word for them in verse 14. He said, Let them along. They are blind guides of the white. Ain't that real complicated? The blind guides of the blind. And if a blind they've got false prophets and false teachers right there. They're leading them. The blinds leading the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man both are going to go where? Where's your heart? You dumb folks? You got it on Jesus in the word. Are you in covenant? Well, I want to look at healing. Let's just look at healing right now. I want to talk to you about healing. See, it's been perverted. You know that, don't you? You know that James 5, 14 says if any among you is sick let him be adorned with oil and the prayer of faith will restore him. You don't get James 5, 14 to work while you're over here. See some folks over here what's been, you know they're using a whole lot of oil and folks were dying. So you know what they had to do? Ancestors. It's just making them look bad. See, you come over here to be adorned with oil. You better line up with covenant. You don't get over here and make, God you come over here, God don't move. He's funny. He just wants to be God. He doesn't line up with folks. He's already said it. He's God. And so when everybody's dying see God's not working with them over here. Traditions and things. So James 5, 14, 15 they crawl around and cry and everybody dies. It makes them look bad and something up there says, you know it's making God look bad too. Let's just we're going to have to write us a thick book here. Don't never repent whatever you do. Let's just write a book and justify over here. Let's just start counting each other. Let me ask you something. If Jesus wanted his body sick, why'd he put James 5, 14 in the Bible? What's it in the Bible for? He wanted his body sick. If it's God's will for us to be sick, why do you go to doctors for? Ain't that working against God? Ain't that true? See I watch people in the hospital. I mean it's pitiful but it's ignorant. They're hooked up to everything in the hospital with pain and everything and say they're there suffering for God. Well if they're doing it for trusting in God why don't they get loose from that stuff and go in the basement and bury up in under it or something. Now see I'm not saying that unkindly. I want you to understand what I'm saying. I'm pointing at that we just try to be ignorant about the things of God. God says one thing and we got something else. We call it blessings when God calls it curses. We already looked at it. Ain't that true? Jesus never commissioned anyone to preach the gospel and not heal the sick. You understand that? He never did. See what we've done folks, let me tell you something. Why over here in Egypt watch folks over there abuse and merchandise truth. And the enemy, instead of keeping their eyes on Jesus and coming over here and lining up the word we would rather stay here in Egypt and have our eyes on the devil. He's always around in this world. He's always around. Now as a dying man and I told you I was crawling around on the floor a dying man, I want to tell you something, he can become real interested in what God says about healing. I did. And I didn't know anything much about this Bible. Doctor always figured he made anything that could fix it. That's a good start, isn't it? That'll make you want to look. Turn to Psalms 103 please. Psalms 103. Psalms 103. Now, verse 2 Bless the Lord O my soul and forget none of his benefits. His benefits from God, do you know that? Well let's see the next verse. Who pardons all your iniquities? Does he pardon all your sins? Receive that, don't you? Look at the next part. Who heals all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all your diseases? I'm going to tell you what. If you're dying, if you're dying and you read something like that in the Bible you'll like it. I did. I'm glad I'm not dead. I got healed. And I can stand right up here and I boast in healing. The healing of God, I'm not boasting in being sick. I boast that I got healed. But I want you to notice something very interesting right there. He dealt with the sin before he did the sickness, didn't he? Isn't that interesting? Well, now, I've either got to receive that or cut it out. If I can read right here, at some point in time God heals all diseases, isn't that right? All right, now, let's start in front of the Bible and let's begin looking at the Old Covenant, Exodus 15. And let's begin to see if there was healing in the Old Covenant. Let me just go ahead and tell you. I know you want to know. It is. In Exodus 15, the Lord has always had Israel. And he brought Israel out of Egypt. What's the sign of us being brought out of the world, isn't it? We know in 1 Corinthians 10, that they passed through the Red Sea, which is the type of us being baptized. Isn't that correct? They were baptized into Moses. We were baptized into Jesus, right? Well, right there they are, in verse 22, 15-22, Moses led Israel from the Red Sea. Now, I want you to watch in verse 26 and what he said. He said, if, condition, right there. I want you to listen to this. Now, there's Old Covenant and New Covenant. Was those people in the Old Covenant supposed to walk in it? Is the people in the New Covenant today supposed to walk in His Word? Who come and said you're not supposed to walk in His Word? The devil. All right, now, verse 26. And he said, if you will give earnest heed to the what? The Word of the Lord. Is he saying any less today? You give earnest heed to the Word of the Lord your God and do what is right. You know what doing what is right in His side is? That's righteousness. That's right in the sight of God. All right. That's righteousness. That's right. And you give ear to His what? That's His covenant and keep all His statutes. In other words, you're keeping covenant. And then he says, I will if you will. That's what covenant is. God has said I'll do this, you do this, and then I'll do this. I will put what? None. Please, that's not any. Of the what? That doesn't mean I'm going to put any disease on you which I have put on the Egyptian for I the Lord am the one that maketh thee sick. I mean healer. He's He used to be the same yesterday today and forever, didn't He? He's a healer back then. But here He's telling them that He wasn't going to put any diseases on them because what? It was covenant. He was getting ready for covenant, wasn't He? Turn to Deuteronomy 7, please. Deuteronomy 7. They've just been baptized. That's a good time to be healed, isn't it? Now, I believe I want to look with you in verse 6 first. Verse 6, 7, verse 6. For you, now people in covenant, O covenant in you, what are they? They are a holy people, separated from the world in Christ. Is that right? Let's see what is 6. It says, For you a holy people, the Lord your God. The Lord your God is what? And has He chosen us today? That's exactly right. He chooses the one He's in covenant with. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth. Now, that's a holy people. Well, let's go ahead and read that next verse. The Lord did not set His love on you or choose you because you were what? He doesn't get you because you're more a number than any of the people. For you are the what? They're with numbers. Now, verse 12. Then it shall come about because you what? You first listen to the judgments of God. Now, He's fixing the, He's saying you will and then I will. You first listen to the Word of God and then you keep and what? Do it, which means you walk in the Word of God. He's not saying any less today. Then that the Lord your God, when you listen to the Word and you keep the Word, then the next part said that the Lord your God will then keep with you His what? He does it after you walk in the Word. Is that what your Bible says? After you walk in the Word and you listen to it and you keep it, then He's going to keep His covenant with you and His what? Loving kindness. There's a God kind of love. It's going to come to you if you, when you keep covenant. Is that right? That's covenant. That's covenant Word. Loving kindness, which you swore to your forefathers. Now, I want you to watch what He said the next about keeping the covenant. After you keep covenant, walk in His Word, 15, and the Lord will remove from you all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all sickness. I'm not going to have them cut out. Psalm 103, I'm a verse 3. Because He said I'm going to remove all sickness and He'll put on you and He'll not put on you what? That means none of the what? Of diseases of Egypt or the world which you've known said you've known them, but He's going to lay them on all who what? He's going to lay them on all who hate you. Ain't that something? Will you turn Deuteronomy 28 with me, please? Do you think He's saying, putting this in this Bible to tease some folks? He's not doing that, is He? He's not saying this to tease some people, is He? Now, haven't we already looked at some covenant here? We already see that when you're blessed, you have the blessings, and then we also know in the curses and what you're fixing to see, that He removes the hedge and things like sickness come to you, right? That's for people that don't keep covenant, is that right? Okay. Well, we know in chapter 27, they've spoken the curses on themselves, and then we come to the place there in verse 15. Now, verse 14 verses are all the blessings, and then 15, but it shall come about if you will not obey the Lord your God. You're not going to deserve to do all His commandments. You're not going to keep all His Word. You might want to pick and choose to do it. And it's statutes which I charge you today that all these curses shall come upon you, and what are they going to do? They're going to overtake you. Now look in verse 22. Let's just look at an example. The Lord will smite you with consumption and with what? Fever's a curse here, isn't it? It's not a blessing here, is it? Is that right? You know, in India, many times, the first time I ever experienced this, to have my hand on a child's head while I was praying, and just like a hotplate and just feel it go cool. I can't tell you. I wish I had time to just tell you what a new Christian and how much seniority God got me into and let me get into over there in India one time. I think I'll go ahead and tell you anyway. I witnessed all the time I was invited to go to lay revivals, and I was learning to talk. I'll tell you, for three years, I couldn't care on a conversation. And the Lord renewed my mind with the Word. And I was invited to go to India. I couldn't even believe it. And I'm telling you what, I mean, there's something in my heart. I had to go, met in New York, and then there's about 13 or 14 people went all the way to India. And when I got over to Bombay, they separated us and paired us off to go to different parts, and we're going to go tell people about Jesus. And that was an awesome thing for me. I mean, all I had was my testimony, and here I am, halfway around the world, I couldn't speak English. I couldn't understand all that. What am I doing over here? All I had was my testimony. And that was an awesome thing when I was on that jet, you know, on my way over there. And we got there in this little village, George Hahn, a friend of mine, from Louisville, Kentucky. And we arrived at that place, and the services were already gone. They were just, they had a crude speaker system right in the front of the church, and just hundreds of people sitting out there on the ground. And, I mean, sitting on the ground. And George, and I went up there, and I was first. And now, I not only had a testimony, but now I had an interpreter. And so, I gave my testimony, and that was it. But they thought I was a preacher. I was a carpet cleaner. And, so I went on back and sat down. That was it. And George, you know, he'd had a lot more experience than I had. He'd been saved about a year longer than I had. And, I sat down with that preacher, and I was hoping he wouldn't talk to me. I couldn't understand what he was saying. And he started talking to me about rain. And he had said about four or five times before I understood what he was saying. You know what he said? He said, Brother Green, we haven't had a rain here for four years. I didn't say four days, four weeks, or four months. I said four years. And that's a fact. And he said, well, you pray for rain. All I had was my testimony, and then this man asked me to pray for rain. It hadn't rained in four years. Gee, the Lord will move on you and do some things sometimes you won't normally do. If you don't watch real carefully, you'll take credit for it. But that's what happened to me. All of a sudden, I just wanted to pray. So I told him I would. George got through up there, and then I came up. And I had an interpreter again, and I knew a couple little scriptures, and I said something about agreeing and everything. But I said, well, just raise up your hand. I've been free ever since I knew Jesus. And so they all just lifted up their hands, just so beautiful. They lift up their hands. And then I just led them into prayer, and I just prayed. I'm telling you what, you could reach up and touch the stars. There wasn't any clouds. And boy, I finished praying and started to turn around and go back. And the Lord just said, just impressed me to pray and thank Him. I said, let's get our hands back up. And the interpreter said, get your hands back up, and let's thank Him for the rain. And so we began thanking Him for the rain. And then I finished. And I turned and walked back to my seat. I prayed. I was in the service. I took George and I to a little school room about a half a block away. It took about five minutes to get there. I'm telling you, that leg was on me. I'm telling you, I could lean up against a wall and just about died. And George, he's older. He's already in the bed there asleep. And I'm telling you what, there's things in my heart. My heart just loved these people and compassion and all this poverty. And I'm telling you what, it just broke my heart. I'd never seen anything like it in my life. And I started to lay on this bench. They called it a bed. And I didn't know what to do. But I knew I wanted that rain more than I wanted anything in my life. I said, God, if you want me to pray, you make me wide awake. I was just about to fall over. And so, of course, I laid down on that thing and there it went, just wide awake. So I couldn't, I couldn't get up. I was too, I mean, I just had it. But I rolled off the side of that little old bench. And I began, I mean, you just see through the tile roof there. See the sky through it. Little school room, lizards in it and everything. And I began praying. I began praying. I began crying. I'm telling you what's the truth. I didn't pray very long. And I heard something. And I looked up, and I'm telling you, it was pouring rain. I woke old George up. And we had a time. I'm telling you, it rained for four days there. Straight. And everything they could get in the house, it was a whole water base run and put it all around the house there all those days. At the end of the four days this Anglican pastor's wife, they just really withdrawn, just kind of dodged you and things like that when you get in. But she come right up to me, and she said at the end of the four days, she said, enough rain. Laughter So I got to thinking about this. All I had was my testimony. And I began to find out something else. Boy, I had Jesus. And I just, I just knew something, get confidence in something like that where it hadn't rained in four years. And they just, they excited about that. And I was too. So I told old George, I said, George, you know, around the house every once in a while we'd pray somebody had a headache or something, you know. And after all, I'd been healed, you know. I was getting where I was talking, and getting around a little bit. And so I saw all those people crippled. I saw all this sick, sick people. And I told George, I said, George, I believe God wants us to pray for the sick. And I no sooner did that, and he put his finger right, finger right in my face and said, God, milk, don't you start that stuff. God don't want to heal everybody. And you know something? Old George, my buddy, I'd go halfway around the world to have a fight with old George. I mean, he's just violent about it, so I didn't say anything more about it. But you know what? Now they think I'm a preacher. And so I think this might have been the night where I read 1 John to them, see? And my sermon was just reading 1 John. I didn't know how to talk or share. I just read the Bible. And that's good, isn't it? Isn't that better than words? Well, amen. That's where I learned to preach. But anyway, I would always go first, because George had a year's more experience than I did. And then I went back and sat down with this preacher, and then George was up there, and here he leaned over to me again. And I can understand him now a little bit. He says, Brother Green, will you pray for the sick? And all of a sudden I look at old George up there, and I just got about half tickled. I could just see his finger in my face and hear God's... God was working that all out. I mean, it's already here to do it. I didn't know how in the world to do it. I'd seen some things on television, and we didn't do too much of it, the big one, I want to tell you. But anyway, I told him I would, and so he said, he just told me, he said, I'm going to have everyone, everybody else go home. I mean, they had a service, they had one, it's already 10, 30, 11 o'clock, and he's just going to have the sick come inside, and everybody else go home, because we're at the front of the little old church. And so the service ended, and he got up, and he began sharing with them. And I knew George couldn't understand what they were saying. And what he said, what he was telling them, by an Indian, everybody else go home, except the ones who want to be prayed for the sick, and the sick come on in, in the church. And so, the service ended, they had a prayer, and it ended, and, you know, I started walking in, and I knew old George would catch up with me. And he come in, I said, where are we going? I said, George, the Lord, just kind of worked out where we were going to pray for the sick. And, uh, he's real quiet, and I just kind of walked on and everything, and I thought he's there with me, and I got up front. And George, way in the back, he's standoffish to me. But I tell you what, I mean, it was there, I mean, it's in my heart, boy, I'm telling you, it's serious. And I want you to know that I was up there, and I was trying to think of figuring out how to do this thing, but then all those people, I'm telling you what, that church just filled up with people. They sat on straw mats, the women on one side, the men on the other, and I didn't have any seniority, and there they were. And so I had this interpreter, I knew, I'd become familiar with some scripture, you know, I'd been dying, but didn't hear about healing. And I wanted to rise, I knew the superstition, everything, I wanted to rise on Jesus. And, uh, so I went ahead and went through this scripture, and he read it out of his Indian Bible, there to them, and everything, to tell them to get to rise, and I just started down the first line. There were four people in there, so under conviction of God, it was one of the most beautiful things, and boy, they received Jesus, I mean, they got saved, saved. And, but I'm telling you what, little old babies, and I could just lay my hands on them, I mean it'd just break your heart how hard it was, it'd just turn cool, and I came over to the end of the line right there, and I'll never forget it, there was a little baby. His legs were small, I mean, it was deformed, it was, one leg, can you see that, was about this much shorter than the other one. And, little belly was swollen, and I could just see that mother's face, now see, I would have had an understanding about that right now, see, I could have got the whole bunch free right there if I'd known what I knew right now, see. But I didn't know, I just, I mean, I was walking what line I had. But I remember her face, and I, and you know, all that torment, and that little old baby, and I'm going to tell you what, it just absolutely just broke my heart. But I took that, I took that little old baby's legs in my hand, I don't know exactly what I said, but I asked the Lord to, you know, heal his legs, and I'm looking there in my hands folks, and in Jesus' name, that leg began coming out in my hand. In Jesus' name, it came out in my hand, and I looked at that, and my head's trying to figure that out, and I watched that there, and I said, George! And George said, I'm right behind you, Mel, I see it. You see, you don't have to have a seniority, all you have to have is Jesus. Now let me tell you what happened after this happened. There were people healed all over that. Everyone didn't get healed. I'm telling you, divine healing is not such today. Let's don't act like it is. I said, why not? The congregations are not sanctified. People are not going to get out of wheelchairs and things like that until they're sanctified and disciplined into sin and lines up with the Word. And every morning when we'd get up after this, the entire time we were there, there'd be a line waiting up in the morning. And this is where the Lord began. See, I kind of had a freedom to kind of deal with demons, and I'm telling you what's the truth. I got in some situations, boy, where I had to run or deal with them, and God just had me right there, and I'm telling you what, I was in school. I really was. So I'm going to tell you that I mean the Lord's something. But the Lord will smite you with consumption and feed you verse 22, and well, let's look on over. We've already looked at it. Let's look in verse 26. No, we'd better not look at that. That's for tomorrow. Verse 27. The Lord will smite you with the eyeballs of Egypt, right? And with what? Oh, tumors. Back then, there were curses. Smite you with tumors, and with scab and with itch from which you cannot be healed. Now see, folks, if we have understanding, then we know how to deal with sickness. We know how to deal with tumors and things like that. See, just recently, we were praying for someone who had a tumor in her throat. Did I share this here? I probably did. But anyway, the Lord just removed it while we were praying. See, folks, more and more healing, you know, we just see it now as we, look, look here. We move from over here and start, and you know, the Lord's going to work with you, and the more you move over and line up with the covenant, the more and more the Lord's going to do. And that's what's happening. So I want you to turn now with me to let's look at verse 58 real quickly. Verse 58. If you're not careful, observe all the words of this law which are written in this book to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God. Is he saying any less today? He's telling us to do the same thing. If you don't fear him, and if you don't obey the word, then he says in verse 59, then the Lord will bring what? Extraordinary plagues on you, and your what? Oh, I don't think these things don't get on you, descendants. Now, if you've heard some things, or you've got some reasoning out and everything, if these things don't come to descendants, well, then you just better reason some, you'll reason some other way when you start dealing with it, because you'll find out it's there. When it's on you, it's on your children. Even severe and lasting plagues and miserable and chronic what? Sickness. He's going to bring on you, and in verse 60, and he'll bring what? What's that word? Back. He'll bring back on you all diseases of Egypt. Listen. Oh, let me just stop right there. How can you bring something back if he hasn't taken it away? So, see, it's just plain and healing. Here, you know what you're talking about. You're talking about healing through the blood of bulls and goats and ashes of heifers looking forward to Calvary. Isn't that amazing? All we have today is just the blood of God, Jesus. And, bring back on you all diseases of Egypt which you're afraid they shall claim to you, also ever sickness and ever plague. Are you seeing? Are you seeing? Now, back then, if they sinned against covenant, you get the curses. If they sinned against covenant. Are you seeing that? You know breaking covenant is sin? And you break, then sin and becomes what? That's how the enemy comes in through sin to bring sickness. You see that? Boy, I'm going to get in some things tomorrow about that. You're going to see something in this word. See, when you're going to have understanding about it. See, that's the thing right there that I can't get in in this part because, see, if I let the tape just get out of that, then all these other tapes that have come up to this point right now. See, there's a lot more than that. See, not only are you going to see this, but you're going to see the church in bondage. You're going to see the church demonized. You're going to see how they got demonized. You're going to see how they're in bondage right now. You're going to look at the church tomorrow. Also, ever sickness and ever plague which are not written in the book of this law, the Lord is going to bring on you sickness until you are what? Until you're destroyed. Well, that's pretty plain. I didn't do this when I was over at Merritt Island First Baptist Church this morning, but I'm going to do it with you right now because I had someone who taught the Bible a lot that really after you brought them that far, they keep... Why do people want to fight to be sick? Tell me. Why do you want to fight to be sick? Turn over to chapter 30. They said, yeah, but God knew they couldn't keep the law. It's just like God would tease a bunch of people to angle something out there as serious as life and death in front of them to tease them. Isn't it a shame? Well, let's go over there and let's just look at chapter 30, verse 2. Let's look at one. So it shall be when all these things have come upon you, the blessing and the what? The curse which I've set before you, and you call them to mind, all the nations where the Lord your God has banished you, and you what? Which means repent to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and soul, according to what? He wants you to obey all he commands you today, you and your sons, then the Lord's going to restore you from captivity. I want you to know there is a bunch of captivity, but let's look over in verse 10, how he wants it to come to him. If you obey the Lord your God to keep his commandments and statutes which are written in the book of law, if you turn to the Lord your God with what? I'm telling you, that's the simplicity of following the Lord Jesus Christ when you turn with all your heart and soul. Verse 11, now here it comes. For this commandment which I command you today is what? Say it's not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. Is that clear? Now I'll tell you what, you need to, well it's, well it's hard to miss it. Verse 14, But the word is very near you. You find this same scripture in Romans 10, 8, right there. But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may what? Analyze it or observe it. Observe it. See I've set before you today life and prosperity, that's what's before each one of you here today. Life and prosperity or death and adversity, well later on you can get into that and you can look at that. Now I want you to turn with me in Hebrews 8, here just a moment. Hebrews 8. Now we, let me ask you something. Is it plain that healing is in the old covenant, the bull of the blood of bulls and goats and ashes and heifers? Those are not teasing scripture are they? Well then you're going to, well why can't anyone see that? You're going to see tonight why people can't see it in the word of God. God tells us why they can't see it. Something so plain. Well then the verse, now what do we have today? Now this is pretty interesting to me. A dying, supposed to be a dying man. Now I look over here and find out well what about today? See I don't have to cut out Psalms 133 now. Verse 6. Hebrews 8 verse 6. But now he, Jesus, hath obtained now what? Number 1. A more excellent ministry by as much as he is also the mediator of a what? A better covenant, no conditions. Which has been enacted on what? Number 3. Better promises. So I don't know how to do it right now. Just find out how to do it. How to receive it. I know it's there. There's no conditions. I mean it's a better ministry, better covenant and a better promises. Just clear and plain is it? Just back up one scripture there. I mean one chapter in Hebrews 7 verse 22. So much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a what? Well now if they had a covenant in the old covenant and I've got a better ministry a better covenant now then I know I've got at least healing. You see what I mean? Because they had it then. And you know what we're going to do? After we get back into break here in a few minutes well then you're going to see it. Did you want to say something Peter? Let me share something with you. We've had thousands of people come through the seminar. They've wrote, they have called and everything else to try to get tapes of the seminar. Now I just want to tell you what happened. And it's not only until this month that we decide to get some tapes out. Now I'll tell you why I decided to do this. Because it's tapes have ministered to me. I see people want to take and they'll take tapes and they'll take some part and they'll actually play them on the phone to other places. Take them out of contacts and things like that. But of the first part of the tapes we just decided to do that. Now it's up to you. I'm not trying to press them. I'm not trying to push. But if it would be any help to you to minister to someone else then that's the way you're going to be able to get them if you happen to sign up after. He's out there and he's got, you want to say something? Go ahead. Yes. I'd like to say this. As I read the New Testament I realize that my life doesn't match up to it. My ministry. When you take my prayer life, you know, you can justify anything. And I pledge the Lord, I mean this with all my heart, I realize as this week has gone on that I'll be a little slack in areas. And I just sat out here tonight and it's not because I want to have a healing ministry or I want to have anything. I just, I want to love Jesus and I pledge to Jesus that I'm going to have instant perfect full obedience to him. That's the message I've got this week. That's my only part. And so as your pastor, I just want to tell you where I am. I told you at the beginning of the week it wasn't about it needed this week any more than I did. And I really do. And I thank the Lord for speaking to me. I thank him for his mercy and for his grace. And I repent of any slackness in my life. Now probably what I'd call slackness isn't what you'd call slackness. You understand what I mean? I haven't been running around with other women and stealing money and things like that. I haven't been doing anything like that. But see as the Lord leads you on, he leads you to plateaus, doesn't he? And places. So I repent and I ask your forgiveness, you know, that I would even allow, I don't know how, you know, allow myself in some areas to get a little slack. And I just repent and as much as I know in my heart and pledge to the Lord Jesus Christ complete and full and total obedience. And that's what this week is creating in my heart. I desire to do that. So I just wanted to say that publicly to you tonight as we get into this place that God might have his full way in here. So, you know, I don't know whether I need your forgiveness. I've asked his and that's all I'm asking. That's what comes. So let's go to the break and then come back and you pray about the offering in the break and pray that the Lord just lay upon your heart what to give. Bill, it's about 12 minutes to 9. About 2 minutes to 9. Start a little music and singing. Okay? Thank you. God bless you. Well, I'm going to tell you the Lord is precious, isn't he? Oh, he's awesome. Well, Father in Jesus' name, now we just continue to receive your word. I thank you, Lord, that you lead us into all truth. And, Lord, I just ask this anointing and quickening of your word. And, Lord, we just want to honor you in Jesus' name. Amen. Now, folks, healing was in the old covenant. The blood of bulls and goats and ashes of heifers looking forward to Calvary. And now we have the blood of Jesus. Now, Isaiah had something to say about Jesus in Isaiah 53. Let's turn there, please. Isaiah 53. Isaiah 53. I usually start reading in 52, but I want to just move on through. You know, these places where I've been skipping scripture and everything, you know, you just have to pick out the main ones. It's so good when you go back through your notes, read in between, and read all around these things, because obviously you can't cover them all. In Isaiah 53, beginning in verse 4, it's surely our griefs. Now, it's talking about Jesus at Calvary and what happened at Calvary. And we see surely our griefs. And this griefs right here, I want to ask you something. Was Job sick? Job was sick, and this word is saying to use the same with Job's, in reference to Job's sickness right there. So surely our griefs, he himself bore, which is talking about Jesus at Calvary. And this griefs right here is sickness. If you look in your margin right there, and particularly if you have a New American Standard, you'll see in your margin it's called it plainly sickness, but we can't go by margin, so we'll clear this up with other scripture a little later. And our sorrows, he carried. This is what happened at Calvary. Now, let me just tell you something. Do you get anything from God except through the blood? You absolutely get nothing. You get nothing except through the blood. So is this what we're talking about at Calvary? Well, okay. Yet we are self-esteemed, him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. He didn't look like the Son of God when he was at Calvary, did he? But see what they were looking at, the natural things, and see we're looking at the spiritual. We're looking at what was going on behind the cross, what he did for us. And now in verse 5, but he was pierced through for our what? At Calvary he was crushed for our what? Iniquities and sins, a chastening for a well-being fell upon him. Get your big pencil ready, for by his stripes are scourging we what? Say that together one more time. What? Are healed. Now I want you to circle that real good. Now, look here. Isaiah is looking forward to Calvary, hundreds of years when he wrote that, and he said, by his stripes you are healed. Turn to 1 Peter 2, please. 1 Peter 2. I want to ask you something, folks. Do you die when you make covenant? You absolutely do. You're seeing this as more of a reality. Now, when he talks about by his stripes you are healed, you know what kind of healing he's talking about? He's talking about spiritual healing for you. He's also talking about physical healing for you. He's also talking about mental healing. He's talking about the total person. See, every need that we have comes through the blood and covenant. Now, I want you to look at me. I want this to represent Calvary right here. Here is Isaiah. He's looking forward to hundreds of years, isn't he, when he wrote that by his stripes you what? Are healed as looking forward to Calvary. Alright, then Calvary took place and then Peter wrote this book that we've turned to, 1 Peter 2, didn't he? It's after Calvary. So, Peter is looking what? Back toward Calvary. Now, Isaiah was looking forward toward Calvary and now Peter is looking back toward Calvary. Where are you looking from? You're looking from the same place that this man is, the Lord is writing through Peter right here. So, the Lord through Peter had something to say about Calvary and we're going to read it in 1 Peter 2. Let's read it now in the 24th verse. And he, Jesus, himself what? He bore our sins and his body on the what? We're looking at the cross that we might. Now, I want you to know this is something you read over real fast. Now, if you don't read over this, you get your pencil, get a little one ready. Is that you died a sin, is that what it says? Now, that's covenant. This is what happened when you make covenant. This is what Jesus did at Calvary. Oh, this is good. This is about covenant scripture I see in the Word. Just about it. First you died a sin and then you what? Live to righteousness. What? That's two, but a little two there. Which means you're walking in covenant and walking right into God's eyes. Is that correct? And then what's the rest of the verse? For by his stripes are wound you what? I can't hear you. But who were healed at Calvary? The ones that died a sin and living in righteousness. That's covenant. Amen? Are you seeing that? But it's easy to read over. Isn't it interesting? Hey, just read through. Died a sin and lived in righteousness. See, that's what we've been talking about. This goes when you walk in covenant. And you notice how you deal with sin before you get to sickness? Are you beginning to see the pattern? See, sin is breaking covenant. You break covenant and then there they come, right? You make covenant with them. And that's sin and that's what gives them ground. Well, so you died a sin and lived in righteousness then you're healed. Now let's clear up that verse in Isaiah 53, 4. Turn back to Matthew 8, please. Matthew 8. Matthew 8. Boy, praise the Lord. Boy, praise him. Hmm. Matthew 8. Now, we see gifts and things abused sometimes, folks. Let me just, let me read this and then I want to make a remark about it in verse 16. And when evening had come, they brought to him many who were demon-possessed, and he cast out the what? The demons with the what? The Word, and he healed all, all, all, all, all, all, all who were ill. Didn't he? Now, did he cast the demons out with the Word of God? Can you remember that's the way you cast them out with the Word of God? You speak the Word. You speak the Word. Now, and he healed all that were ill, in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, now we're talking about Isaiah 53, 4 if you look at your margin, might be fulfilled, saying, he, Jesus, himself, what? He took her in firmies, and he also, there it is, carried away our what? Well, if he's carried them away, and we still got them over here, who do you think needs to move? Jesus, a God, or us? But see what we need to do, you ever see anything so plain? Isn't it amazing how we fight to be sick? But see, if you have a lot of these, you can always justify over here, can't you? Isn't that true? I mean, I'm serious. Isn't that right? You justify being over there? Then just hang in there. You got something better in covenant, hadn't you? Okay. They said, well, that got fulfilled there. That scripture's fulfilled there. Just hold on to anything to be, have a tumor or something. Well, let me tell you something, what he was doing at that time. Was Jesus forgiving sins then? He absolutely was. Isn't that interesting? And see, if he forgives sin, why couldn't he heal somebody? Amen? What did he say to the man? He said, what's the difference saying your sins are forgiven or take up your pallet and walk? He said, what's the difference? I think he's trying to tell us something, isn't he? He said, you fellow there on the pallet, this broke covenant, your sins are forgiven. Take up your pallet and walk. He could forgive, couldn't he? What about the fellow he saw in the temple? He said, now, go your way and sin what? Less of what? Boy, that's real complicated, isn't it? Don't break covenant anymore, he's telling. Well, see, that'll all be tied together so good tomorrow and it's going to be so good because once you see it all tied together, then you have an understanding, then you know how to go deal. You can pray and know. Okay. So, he cared aware of infirmities, he cared aware of diseases, that's exactly what he's saying over there. And if you look at the margin, doesn't it say Isaiah 53-4? So that's exactly what he's talking about right there. Now what we need to know, we know that they had the blood of bulls and goats and ashes of heavens they had healing. We know we've got a better covenant now. We know that healing is in the new covenant. Let's begin looking at it. Start in chapter 9, that's real close. Matthew 9, verse 35. Now, I want you to get this picture. God sent Jesus to a demonized world. The whole powers of darkness had a whole world in darkness and blindness. Is that correct? What do you think this world needs to know? They need to know the truth, don't they? They need to know you're in the clutches. You need to know that you're in the clutches of the powers of darkness, an invisible force you absolutely know nothing about. You think all your decisions, you think all these things you do in this carton is you and you're deceived and not only are you dead while you're even walking and living and breathing in my eyes. You're dead and you have an eternal hell, your curse, waiting on you. Now God had in grace sent Jesus and what do they need to know? They need to know the truth. You know what that's called? The gospel. Tell them the truth. The gospel. And then he said, Jesus, also they need to be set free from these demons that's controlling their lives so they can, you know, come back and be in our likeness and image so cast those demons out of them. And also Jesus, they brought these diseases into their body and they need to be free with them so move those diseases from their body when they walk in covenant too. Come to be conformed to the image of God. And so that was a pretty good ministry that God has sent Jesus to do and when did it change? When did the devil quit doing what he's doing? Did God change? His flesh is still flesh. I'll tell you who changed. Our ancestors. We get it handed down to us. Now that's right. Alright. And here Jesus is. Now I want you to watch. Jesus can only be in one place at one time, isn't he? Alright, now watch him in verse 35. And Jesus was going about all the cities and villages he was teaching in their synagogues and churches and buildings and he was proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and he was healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. There wasn't any of them bringing glory to him because he healed them all. Now let me tell you something. Jesus could only be in one place at one time, is that correct? He's being fruitful here though, wasn't he? Wasn't he being fruitful? That's what they told the first Adam. The second Adam, he's the second Adam, he's being fruitful. But Jesus also told him, God also told him I want you to multiply. So how does Jesus go multiply? What he has to do is go get some more disciples doing what he's doing. He can only be in one place at one time, right? So right there you see him in chapter 10 verse 1. And having summoned his twelve disciples he gave them authority over unclean spirit. There's the demons that cast him out and he healed every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. What do the disciples do? What is a disciple? That's a little Christ. And they do the same works as Jesus. Jesus has authority and he gives them the same authority that he had, is that right? And so now instead of Jesus being in one place at one time, he's in thirteen places at one time. Is that correct? Now there he's multiplying what God had given him, right? Now let me ask you something. What would be better for a bunch of distressed and downcast, demonized sick people who are in darkness than the gospel to heal the sick and cast out the demons out of them? Tell me. Get the powers of darkness. I don't think you could improve on that, could you? Well now let's turn over the last chapter of Matthew then, please. Matthew 28. I mean, God's smart, isn't he? Matthew 28. Now I want to tell you something. Right here, Jesus is about to ascend and go into heaven and he's about to speak some final words to the disciples. I want to ask you, do you believe it will be important? The last words he says before he ascends and goes into heaven, do you think it might be important? Well let's see what he says to them. Because has he poured all three years into these disciples? He has. And he has taught do you believe that he showed them everything that God has shown him? He absolutely has. Do you think they're just about as qualified to start a church as anybody you know of? We'd do well to watch them, wouldn't we? They might be smarter than some of these books. Well now let's see what he told them there in Matthew 28, verse 18. And Jesus came up and spoke to them and saying, all authority has been given me into heaven and earth. Alright, he has all authority, he can give it to whoever he wants to, doesn't he? So he tells his disciples that he's made, he's doing the same thing he's doing. He said, go therefore and what? Now look at me. Some of you are not looking. He told them to go make more disciples. Why did he tell them to go make more disciples? Because 13 people couldn't get the whole world free and get the gospel. They need more people than that, didn't they? He said, you go make disciples. In other words, get some more people in the covenant with God and we'll keep multiplying. Being fruitful and multiply, right? So now the first thing he told them, he said, now you are disciples, you're in covenant, now won't you go and you He didn't say go get them to make decisions. He said, go make disciples. Is that right? Okay. Now, you make disciples of all the world now. You go into all the world. You baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Well now after you've made these disciples, I believe that there's one more verse right there, isn't it? Disciples is what the church is. Didn't say go get them to join some, you make disciples. Now what do you do with disciples? Right here in the next verse it says, you to teach them to observe all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all that I commanded you. Look at me. Did he tell them to go cast out demons? Preach the gospel? And heal the sick? And he just got through telling these disciples, when you make more disciples, you teach them to do everything I've taught you? Why should there be anything else to teach them unless you're smarter than God? What does the world need? They need the truth, they need to get the powers of darkness off of them, they need to get the sickness and disease off of them, look like to be in covenant with God. That's what covenant with God is. Blows up a hedge and sets you free. You know the truth, and the truth's what? Alright then. He said you teach them to observe all I commanded you, and lo, I'll be with you most of the time. And when it gets 70 degrees? Oh, it says always, I'll be with you always. Well, it said, I'll be with you always, even until the dispensationalists say for me to leave. You know, there's a lot of dispensationalist demons left people at that point right there. When I said that, there's one in me, and he's coming down, and he said, boy, I wasn't liking you at all until you read that, and I got set free. The stronghold left him. Going to box God up. See, you have all kind of titles over here. I'm going to find out what all this liberal and all this stuff is when I get to heaven. See, all that is just division. You know, get divided and things like that. But did he say, now, don't you leave here because I want you to see this before you get there. Did he say, I'm going to be with you all the time? Even till the end of the age. When's the end of the age? That's when Jesus returns. Has he returned? That's the end of the world. He said, I'm going to be with you until the end of the world. Now, you don't want to cut that out, don't you? Do you? You don't fight to be sick or something, right? I tell you what, sometimes I just skip right over it. But let's just turn over to Mark 16 since it's the next book, and it's in the Bible. It's not supposed to be there, but... And we really don't need it, you know. I mean, we could just stop with James 5, 14, and 15 if we wanted to. That's what happens when Jesus says, Lord, you're in liberty and freedom. And verse 15, and he said to them, Mark 16, 15, go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation and he who what? Has believed. Have you got that marked? Has believed and has been baptized, shall be saved, but he who disbelieves shall be condemned. Now, I want you to look at me. You're looking at a believer. The ones that's looking are looking. Some of you are not looking again. We're going to read that next chapter in a minute. You're looking at a believer. Now, I want to ask you something. Are you a believer? Have you believed? I have believed. You have believed? Well, this next verse is for you right there. These signs will accompany those who what? Oh, I do. And you have believed. You've become disciples that in my name they'll cast out demons. They'll speak with new tongues. They'll pick up serpents. If they drink any deadly poison it shall not hurt them. And here's the very last words he said before he sent him and went into heaven. They'll lay hands on the sick and they might recover. They will recover. That's the last thing he said. Now, see, when we lay hands on people that don't recover, we need to develop theology that God can't do anything and stay here, don't we? We've got to justify being here. We need to write some books where God can't do anything. Whatever we do, let's die and go to hell all over again before we ever move over and repent. Don't never do that. It's better to condemn God, so let's write books against the Bible. Now, you'll remember something. In God's eyes when you receive a lie, no matter where you get it from, you've rejected truth because He told you, your heart, to come to Him. And God holds His church together with truth. The devil holds his together with guilt and making people fearful. That's not liberty and freedom. You can't separate people who come together in truth. You absolutely can't. Now, I want you to watch right here what happened next in that scene.
