Sermon Summary
Chuck Smith explores the profound question posed by Jesus, 'What think ye of Christ?' He emphasizes the significance of recognizing Jesus as the Son of God, challenging the misconceptions held by the Pharisees and Sadducees who viewed Him merely as a descendant of David. Smith argues that one must confront the implications of Jesus' identity, as rejecting Him as the Son of God leads to dire consequences for one's eternal destiny. He supports his claims with prophetic evidence from the Old Testament, illustrating the fulfillment of prophecies concerning the Messiah. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a personal reflection on who Jesus is to each individual.

II Samuel 7:14, "I will be His Father, and He will be My Son." 3. Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a Child is born..." II. STILL THE FINAL QUESTION TODAY: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF JESUS CHRIST, WHOSE SON WAS HE? A. Only one of two possibilities. 1. Some unnamed rascal in Nazareth. 2. Prophesy of Isaiah 7:14 fulfilled and a virgin conceived and bore a Son. B. You cannot pass Christ off lightly. 1. If He is not the Son of God: a. He is a hoax, liar, charlatan, deceiver. b. He was not a great teacher, a good man. 2. If He is the Son of God: a. And you refuse Him, you are sealing your own eternal destiny. b. Everything He said is true, and to believe in Him is eternal life. III. WHAT EVIDENCE DO WE HAVE? A.
