Leviticus 1:9

1:9 odour. (a-32) Or ‘offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah;’ and so in each case where this formula is found. See ch. 4.31. burn (i-16) Properly ‘burn as incense,’ but applied also to the burnt-offering and to the fat; see Exodus 29:13 , and vers. 13,15,17; ch. 2.2,9,11,16; 3.5,16, &c.
