woman’s garment. Generally red, and eschewed by men.

young. A special various reading called Sevir (App-34) reads “their laying nest”: i.e. before all the eggs are laid.

ox and an ass. One clean, the other unclean; one tall, the other short, therefore cruel under the same yoke.

woollen and linen. One animal, the other vegetable. Linen used of Divine righteousness (Revelation 19:8), and not to be mixed with animal or fleshly labour.

fringes = twisted cords. In Matthew 23:5 the Greek is craspeda, because hanging like locks of hair. Not the same as Numbers 15:38, which was ordained to distinguish Israel from the nations.
quarters. Hebrew “wings”.
