and wrought] This he did in respect of the present necessitie, that he might not disadvantage the Gospel by being burthensome to any, Acts 20:34. 2 Thess. 3. 8.
tent-makers] Their trade was to make tents of skins, then much in use in those hot countreys.

was pressed in spirit] He had an extraordinary and vehement motion o the Spirit by a divine inspiration.

the Baptisme of John] That is, the doctrine of John.
