Confession

Genesis 32:10. I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the faithfulness, which Thou hast showed unto Thy servant.

2 Samuel 24:10. I have sinned greatly in that which I have done. But now, I beseech Thee, O Lord, take away the iniquity of Thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Ezra 9:6-7; Ezra 9:10; Ezra 9:13; Ezra 9:15. O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to Thee, my God; for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our guiltiness is grown up unto the heavens. Since the days of our fathers, we have been exceeding guilty unto this day, and for our iniquities have we been delivered to confusion of face. And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken Thy commandments. And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great guilt, seeing that Thou, our God, hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, shall we again break Thy commandments? Wouldest not Thou be angry with us till Thou hadst consumed us? Behold, we are before Thee in our guiltiness, for none can stand before Thee because of this.

Nehemiah 1:5-7. I beseech Thee, O Lord, God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and loving kindness with them that love Him, and keep His commandments; let Thine ear now be attentive and Thine eyes open, that Thou mayest hearken unto the prayer of Thy servant, which I offer before Thee at this time for Thy servants, while I confess the sins which we have committed against Thee. We have dealt very corruptly against Thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which Thou didst command.

Psalms 32:5. I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity did I not hide. I said, “I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord”; and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.

Psalms 51:1-4;Psalms 51:7-12;Psalms 51:15. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy loving kindness; according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against Thee have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Thy sight. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation. O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth Thy praise.

Psalms 65:2-4. O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, Thou wilt purge them away. Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest and causest to approach unto Thee.

Isaiah 64:6-7. We are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment, and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away, and there is none that calleth upon Thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee.

Jeremiah 14:7. Our backslidings are many; we have sinned against Thee.

Jeremiah 14:19-20. We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing; and behold! dismay. We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against Thee.

Daniel 9:4-10; Daniel 9:15-19. O Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keepeth covenant and loving kindness with them that love Him and keep His commandments, we have sinned and have dealt perversely and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from Thy precepts and from Thine ordinances. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto Thee, but unto us confusion of face. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him, neither have we obeyed His voice, to walk in His laws. Therefore hath the curse been poured out upon us, for we have sinned against Him. The Lord our God is righteous in all His works which He doeth, and we have not obeyed His voice. And now, O Lord our God, we have sinned we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, let Thine anger, I pray Thee, be turned away. Hearken, O our God, unto the prayer of Thy. servant, and to his supplications, and cause Thy face to shine upon us. For we do not present our supplications before Thee for our righteousness, but for Thy great mercies’ sake. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive O Lord, hearken and do.

Luke 15:18-19. Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in Thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called Thy son.
