23 Bible Verses on Struggle

23 verses

In the face of adversity, believers can find strength and hope in their relationship with God. According to 1 Corinthians 10:13, God is faithful to provide a way of escape from temptation, and Romans 5:3-5 teaches that struggles can produce perseverance and character. The apostle John reminds us that "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4), giving assurance of victory over struggles. Through struggles, believers can learn to rely on God's power, as Paul discovered when he wrote that God's strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10), and they can trust that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13).

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him. I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
