The Bible teaches that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and as such, it should be treated with care and respect. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, believers are reminded that their bodies belong to God and should be used to honor Him. The apostle John expresses a desire for believers to prosper in all things, including their physical health, as seen in 3 John 1:2. Additionally, 1 Timothy 4:8 notes that physical training has some value, while 1 Corinthians 10:31 emphasizes the importance of doing everything to the glory of God, including taking care of one's physical body.
