18 Bible Verses on Men

18 verses

In Scripture, men are called to embody integrity, self-control, and wisdom, as exemplified in Titus 2:2, where older men are urged to be sober-minded and sound in faith. The book of Ephesians teaches that husbands have a sacred responsibility to love and care for their wives, as Christ loves the church, as seen in Ephesians 5:25-33. Proverbs offers practical wisdom for men, encouraging them to be kind and compassionate, as in Proverbs 11:17, and to sharpen one another, as in Proverbs 27:17. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 16:13 exhorts men to be watchful, standing firm in the faith and being courageous.

Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and perseverance.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. For we are members of His body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Hallelujah! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
