Living As Christ

Living as Christ refers to the Christian call to emulate the life, teachings, and character of Jesus Christ. This concept is deeply rooted in the New Testament, where believers are encouraged to follow Christ's example of love, humility, and obedience to God. In Philippians 2:5, Paul exhorts believers to "have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus," emphasizing that the attitude and mindset of Christ should be the guiding principle for Christian living. This encompasses selflessness, as illustrated in Christ's ultimate act of service through His sacrificial death on the cross (Philippians 2:7-8).Moreover, living as Christ entails expressing love and compassion towards others, as seen in John 13:34-35, where Jesus commands His followers to love one another as He has loved them. This reciprocal love not only reflects the nature of Christ but also serves as a testimony to the world of His transformative power. Additionally, 1 John 2:6 states that "whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked," reinforcing the notion that true discipleship involves a lifestyle that mirrors Christ's actions and attitudes. Therefore, living as Christ is about embodying His teachings and character in everyday life, striving for holiness, and engaging in acts of love and service to others.
