Internal Worship

10 sermons

Internal worship, a concept rooted in the Christian faith, refers to the intimate and personal adoration of God that occurs within an individual's heart and mind. As expressed in Romans 12:1, this form of worship involves presenting one's body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, and is characterized by a deep sense of reverence, gratitude, and devotion, as seen in Psalms 103:1-2, where the psalmist invites the soul to bless the Lord. This internal expression of worship is also reflected in 1 Corinthians 6:20, which reminds believers that they are temples of the Holy Spirit, and therefore should glorify God with their spirits and bodies. Through internal worship, Christians can cultivate a profound and abiding relationship with God, one that transcends external rituals and practices, and is instead rooted in a deep and personal love for their Creator.
