We thank the Lord. Amen.

Wonderful. So what are we doing this evening? Yes, it's another Bible preach, isn't it? Wonderful. Wonderful.

Wonderful. Uh, today we thought we're going to be talking something also different, but again, from the Holy Bible, today's title is the covenant of law and the covenant of grace. This is our topic for this evening.

Where did this covenant, the covenant of law and the covenant of grace come from? When we look in the gospel, according to St. John chapter one, verse 17, John one 17 says for the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ for the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. From this verse 17 of John chapter one, we find that there are two kind of covenants. Number one, the covenant of law and number two, the covenant of grace covenant of law is represented by Moses being the first of the old Testament prophets and also by John the Baptist being the last of the old Testament prophets.

Moses is considered to be the receiver of the law. God gave Moses the law, also the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai, and Moses wrote the five books of Torah or the books of law being Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus numbers and Deuteronomy. So Moses is, is considered to be the receiver of the law.

Whereas John the Baptist is considered to be the one declaring that the law has been fulfilled as a law. So Moses receiving the law, John the Baptist declaring the law has been fulfilled as a law. That is the covenant of law.

The covenant of grace is the covenant of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. All glory to his holy and mighty name. The covenant of grace is the covenant of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now what is a covenant? The word covenant is a solemn binding agreement or promise between people is a solemn binding agreement or promise between people and every agreement takes place between two parties or more, but every agreement has to be minimum two parties. Otherwise can't agree unless there is more than one. So that agreement is between two parties.

When any of the parties, when any of the parties involved are in breach of covenant, the covenant is broken or ruined. When any of the parties are in breach of that covenant, that covenant is broken or ruined. The old Testament covenant was between God and the people Moses through Moses.

So the old Testament covenant was between God and people through Moses. God was faithful, but people were not. So if any of the parties are in breach of the covenant, that covenant is destroyed.

It is ruined. The old Testament covenant was between God and people. God was faithful, but people were not.

When the Israelite nation saw the Mount, the mountain was covered with smoke Mount Sinai. When they saw it covered with smoke, they said to Moses, you go up. We're not going up.

You know what? Your God looks like he is the God of, he's a consuming fire. We are afraid to go up. You go up and talk to this God.

And whatever God says to you, we promise Moses, we will do whatever God tells you. We will do it. Moses went up into the mountain and while he was climbing up, Moses said to himself, I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.

Hebrews 12, 21, I am exceedingly afraid and trembling while he was going up, not knowing what to expect, seeing all that fire, the smoke. He said, my goodness, I'm going to be consumed by this mighty God. The people or the Israelite nation who remained at the foot of the mountain, they broke the covenant even prior to receiving it from Moses.

What did they do? They made a golden calf and worshiped this golden calf. And they said, this is your God or Israel that brought you out of the land of Egypt. Exodus 32 four.

Oh, this is your God or Israel who brought you out of the land of Egypt. This golden calf, this statue man made. Did this calf get you out of Israel or was it the hand of the almighty, almighty living God of Israel? How quickly have you forgotten who got you out of Israel? And then you're referring it to this calf being that God that took you out of the bondage of Pharaoh and the slavery of Egypt.

Incredible. Incredible. All of us lived in the time of what I call nakedness.

All of us lived in the time of nakedness. That is being the time of the old Testament covenant, which is the covenant of law. Under the covenant of law, all of us lived in the time of nakedness.

Adam became naked. When did Adam find out that he was naked? When he broke God's word and breaking God's word, the Holy Bible calls it sin. So when Adam sinned by breaking God's word, he realized that he is naked.

Prior to that he was naked, but he did not know that he was naked because he had not yet broken God's word. So Adam broke God's word and found himself naked and he made us all naked with him because all of us were in the Adam. So Adam became naked by breaking God's word and made us all naked and humanity ended with God flooding the entire world at the time of the great flood at the time of the great flood because of the nakedness of the human race, i.e. because of the sinful status of the human race.

God brought the great flood and cleansed the entire world from the human race except Noah, his wife, his three sons and his three daughters in law. When the great flood came and cleansed everything, then it was a new creation that began with Noah. However, when Noah came out of the ark after the flood had receded and gone, Noah came out of the ark, became drunk and sinned.

Once again he became naked and made us all naked with him as well. Adam became naked and made us all naked. Noah became naked and made us all naked.

The covenant of Noah continued till the time of Moses, which is the covenant of law. Moses represents the covenant of law. Here we see from our father Adam to Moses, there are three covenants, the covenant with Adam, the covenant with Noah and the covenant with Moses being the covenant with of law and saw the people worshiping that golden calf.

What did Moses say to his brother Aaron, the high priest Aaron was the high priest selected by God and appointed through Moses. What did Moses say to his brother Aaron, the high priest Moses said, why did you make the people naked? Where do we read this in Exodus 32 25 Exodus 32 25 now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained, unrestrained means naked sin, sinning, sinning and this and sin leads to nakedness, spiritual nakedness. So when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained for Aaron had not restrained them to their shame among their enemies.

So Aaron let the people of Israel make that golden calf and worship that golden calf and say, this is your God or Israel that brought you out of the land of Egypt. Aaron was the reason not only for him to be naked, but he also made the entire Israelite nation naked with him as well. And from here we see that Adam became naked, sinned and made us all naked.

Noah became naked, sinned and made us all naked. Aaron, the high priest became naked, sinned and made all of us naked. Then the covenant of grace came Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

And when the covenant of grace came, that is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. What did the Lord Jesus do? He went up on the cross naked to cover us all with the dress of his righteousness. He went up on the cross naked in order to cover our nakedness and dress us all with the best rope.

According to Luke chapter 15, the prodigal son, where the father says, put on him the best rope. The best rope is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the dress of righteousness. And this is why the Lord Jesus went on the cross naked because we were all naked.

He became naked so we become clothed and our nakedness shame be covered by his righteousness. The covenant of grace being a covenant, it is an agreement between two parties. Like we said earlier that the covenant of law word covenant means it's an agreement between two parties.

So the covenant of grace is also an agreement between two parties. We mentioned earlier that the covenant of law was an agreement was a covenant between God and people. But the covenant of grace is a covenant between the father and the son.

It is between the father, God, the father and God, the son, no more people. Why no more people? Because God gave people a chance to be faithful. They all broke God's word.

They were all unfaithful. So God says, I need to save you. And the only way to save you, I need the other party to be as faithful as I am.

God, the father and the only one I found to be as faithful as me is my son. Therefore, in the new Testament I entered into a covenant of grace between me. I got the father and between my begotten beloved son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now, since this covenant is between the father and the son, if we enter it and if we come in between the two, we will ruin the covenant. In other words, if we stick our noses where it doesn't belong, we will destroy everything good. Now the father says, I want, the son says, yes, amen.

The father is talking to the son. The father says, I want you to do this. The son replies and says, yes, father.

Amen. You see, in us there is two things. There is the yes and there is the no in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of man, not the son of God.

The son of God is God, but as the perfect man in Jesus, there are two things just like us. We have two things. Yes and no, but in Jesus there is the yes and there is the amen in Jesus.

There is no such thing as no when it comes to his dad, whatever that says to him. Jesus always says, yes, dad. Amen.

Dad. Yes, dad. Amen.

Dad. Jesus go. Yes, dad.

Jesus come. Amen. Dad.

Jesus talk. Yes, dad. Jesus be quiet.

Amen. That God talks to us and says, come here, my child. No, dad, I'm not coming.

That's why we are not faithful. We're not loyal because we have the no in us now. And where did we get that in Jesus? There is the yes and the amen from the Holy Bible.

We thank the Lord for his Holy book because it is the perfect word of God. You will find everything in there. St. Paul says about the Lord Jesus in his epistle to the Corinthians, second Corinthians chapter one, verse 20.

Look at St. Paul. Amazing for all the promises of God in him, in him, meaning Jesus Christ of Nazareth for all the promises of God in him are yes and in him. Amen to the glory of God through us.

So in Jesus, St. Paul says there is the yes and there is the amen. Second Corinthians chapter one, verse 20. Now the Lord Jesus accomplished everything completely and perfectly while on earth.

The Lord Jesus walked on earth without a watch. Why? Because he was what he was walking with his father's watch, not his. He was walking with his father's watch.

How people came to the Lord Jesus and said, you need to go, you need to talk. He would reply and say, my hour hasn't come yet. Which hour in accordance with my dad's watch, I walk, I talk, I do things when my father's hour has come until that hour has not come.

The whole world talks. I'll do nothing. I'll do nothing.

However, when that hour would come without people saying anything to him, he would say, let's go. The hour has come. This is our Lord Jesus Christ who fulfilled everything.

I'll give you an example how the Lord Jesus while on earth, how precise in detailed his life was. Amazing. He was the perfect man, not only the perfect God, but as the human being, he was so precise, so accurate, so in detailed.

He was like God as a human being. So perfect. I'll give you an example.

While the Lord Jesus was hanging on the cross, he had to fulfill everything. Now this is the final, the final moment here. He's hanging on the cross about to give his last breath and die in the flesh.

Prior to that, to that physical, biological death, he had to fulfill every single prophecy that was prophesied about the coming of the Messiah. Let me tell you, there was about around roughly three hundred and three percent of the people prophecies that were mentioned about the Messiah. When he comes, he will fulfill them all.

And from the time of Moses to Malachi, there is a time frame of about, it's a fifth from, from the time of Moses, sorry, to the time of the Lord. Jesus coming is a period of about fifteen hundred years. Fifteen hundred years.

Moses prophesied, Ezekiel prophesied, Isaiah prophesied, Daniel prophesied, Zechariah, they all prophesied. Malachi prophesied different times, different locations, different eras, different centuries. Over three hundred and three prophecies, the Lord fulfilled them all in three and about half years only.

In three and a half years, the Lord Jesus fulfills all the prophecies. And there was one last prophecy, a little tiny one left for him to fulfill before he gives his last breath on the cross. What was it? There is a verse that says, and for my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.

Psalm 69 21. And for my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69 21.

Now, what is the problem? What is the problem with this? Verse 69 21 of Psalm, and in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. If the Lord had drank the vinegar, it would have made him a bit numb, meaning this would have resulted in slightly alleviating his suffering or his pain. If he had drank that vinegar would have made him a little bit numb and then would have alleviate some of that suffering of his.

However, the Lord Jesus had to endure all pain to the fullest. No relief whatsoever, not even a drop. But it's a prophecy.

In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. He needs to drink it. And if he doesn't drink it, he is breaking the prophecy of David.

Psalm 69 21. And if he breaks that prophecy, that means he will no longer qualify to be the savior and the redeemer of the world, because one of the conditions for Jesus Christ to be the savior and the redeemer of the entire world, he must fulfill all prophecies without fail. What did the Lord Jesus do while hanging on the cross? He says, I thirst.

Because if he hadn't said that, they wouldn't have given him anything to drink. You with me? And if he if they wouldn't give him anything to drink, then he's breaching Psalm 69 21. So he had to bring it to their attention to the soldiers.

He says, I thirst. Look, look what happens here. Now this is a thousand years later from the prophecy of King David.

It's a thousand years later. The Lord hasn't forgotten that David prophesied a thousand years prior to his coming. If he's not God, then I just wonder, then who is? Can you remember what you did yesterday? Completely, fully in order to remember a thousand years? Only God can.

Only God can. Jesus is the only way. Yeah, please.

His life on Earth was sinless. It was perfect. Everything about him is perfect.

Why don't you follow him and get on with your life? Please, you'll do yourself the biggest favor. Stop searching elsewhere. You will never find anyone anywhere near Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

It's impossible. Im-pa-so-ble. He says, I thirst.

Now look in John chapter 19 verses 28 to 30. Look at St. John. He's writing.

He is writing over a thousand years after David. John chapter 19 verse 28. After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst so that the scripture might be fulfilled.

He said, I thirst. Why? Because Psalm 69, 21 says, in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. He needed to fulfill that prophecy.

That's why he had to say, I thirst in order for scripture to be fulfilled. Incredible. Incredible, my beloved.

Verse 29 of John 19. Now a vessel full of sour wine. Sour wine is vinegar, my beloved.

Now, my question is, those Roman soldiers, like, why didn't they put water? Why didn't they put Coca-Cola, milk? Why vinegar? Out of all liquid, why did they put vinegar? They didn't know what they were doing, but they were told what to do by God the Father, because everything is controlled by God the Father. If it wasn't my father, you wouldn't have had any authority to even touch me, let alone to put your hand on me and bring me to judgment. But God the Father was in control.

He put in their heart to fill that vessel with vinegar because Psalm 69, 21 must be fulfilled. Jesus Christ is the Messiah to fulfill all prophecies. They put in the vessel after a thousand years, vinegar.

Now, a vessel full of sour wine, vinegar was sitting there and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop and put it to his mouth. Verse 30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, vinegar, he said, it is finished.

That was the last prophecy I needed to fulfill. That was the last one. It is finished.

And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. If anyone can tell me, what do you learn from this verse? So when Jesus had received the sour wine, vinegar, he said, it is finished. And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit.

What do you know? What is this verse about? What have you noticed here? And bowing his head and he gave up his spirit. I'll tell you, for us to know that Jesus Christ is in control of everything, even the death of the cross. And he's in control even of death, he's in charge of death, he's in charge of everything.

I'll ask you this, when a person dies, what happens to the head of that person? Goes down, doesn't it? Jesus here, and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. He bowed his head first, then gave up the last breath. Meaning, I laid myself in that grave, I will take myself out of that grave.

Death cannot put my head down, I put it in control of everything, and I lift my head up in control of everything. Death will not conquer in order for death to make my head bow down, because death has no authority over me. For one simple reason, because I'm the only human being that is sinless, and death only has authority over sinners, not sinless people.

This is why death could not put my head down. It was I who willingly put it, and I who willingly will take it out. I was in control of every single moment of the cross.

I'm in control. I laid my head down, and then I gave up the last spirit. Death can't put my head down, no one can put my head down, because no one can say, Jesus, you made a mistake.

I challenge you, find one mistake in me. You will not find one. That's why I will always be with a head up.

But I put it down for you, so that your head gets lifted up. Now, in the gospel, according to St. John, he reveals to us that Jesus Christ, our Lord, received that sour wine, which is vinegar, to fulfill Psalm 69, 21. However, in Matthew 27, 34, shows us that he tasted it, but would not drink it.

Why? Because if he drinks it, it's going to make him a bit numb. He's not going to feel the pain in its fullness. But he needs to drink it in order to fulfill Psalm 69, 21.

He tasted it to say, I've drank it. Tasting it, drinking it, it's the same thing. You can't say you didn't touch it.

I did, I tasted it, that's all. I fulfilled Psalm 69, 21. But I didn't drink it because I needed to fulfill Isaiah 63, 3. And what does Isaiah 63, 3 say? I have trodden the winepress alone.

Now, who is speaking here? The Holy Spirit through Isaiah. And who is the Holy Spirit speaking of here in Isaiah 63, 3? Jesus. I have trodden the winepress alone.

In the olden days, the winepress, my beloved, it was a little sort of circle in the ground. They would put all the grape clusters in there. And somebody would walk in there barefooted and start walking on those clusters and crushing them all.

Where the juice comes out and there was vents in few places in that pond. And the juice of that grape would go out. They would collect it in pots, put it away for fermentation and then turns into wine.

So that grape was crushed. The Lord Jesus is saying in Isaiah 63, 3. I, meaning I, Jesus, have trodden the winepress alone. What did the Lord Jesus give us? His blood.

How did he give us his blood? Out of what? The wine. And where does wine come from? Grapes. So who is the Lord Jesus here resembled by? The grape.

Just like those grapes get crushed, so as Jesus, the true grape, got crushed on the cross. His blood from head to toe gushed out. He was, he trotted on that cross alone.

Meaning I had to feel the entire pain alone with no intervention. Neither from my father nor from a sour wine vinegar. Nothing was going to give me a relief because Isaiah 63, 3 says I needed to go through the pain of the cross fully alert.

So I tasted the wine, the vinegar to fulfill Psalm 69, 21. But I did not drink that sour wine to fulfill Isaiah 63, 3. In the last moment and him hanging on the cross, he fulfills two prophecies just out of a simple thing called drinking vinegar. The Lord Jesus is very precise in everything.

He is perfect in everything and amazing in everything. To him be all glory, honor and worship forever and ever and ever. And I want to hear a huge amen.

The covenant of grace became on the cross between the father and the son. Now here we say, then what is my role? Like where am I out of all this? So if the covenant is between the father and the son, then what is my role? My role is one thing. Deny myself and enter and be fully covered by the son.

Deny myself and enter and be fully covered by the son. And say along with Saint Paul, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

That is my role. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

This is the role of whoever says, I receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over my life. If you call yourself a Christian and you claim to be a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ, you are not living for yourself anymore. You are living for the one who died for you, purchased you with his own precious blood, and rose from the dead for your sake.

Because the covenant of the New Testament is between the father and the son. If you come and enter between them, since we are not faithful, we will break the covenant. All of us will end up in hell.

We are going to die an eternal death, total separation from the Almighty God. So my role is, I deny myself and say, I don't live for myself anymore. I live for you Lord Jesus.

May you live in me. And I live for you, no longer for me. And no longer for anyone else.

No longer for the world. As a Christian, why are you imitating the world? As a Christian, why are you living like the world? As a Christian, why are you walking in the ways of the world? You don't belong there. You don't belong there.

You don't belong in the club. You belong in the church. You don't belong in the street.

You belong in the house of the Lord. You don't belong where there is foul language. You belong where there is praising and pure language.

You don't belong in the darkness. You belong in the light. For your Messiah is the light of the world.

You don't belong with Satan. You belong with Jesus Christ of Nazareth. That is the covenant.

It's between the Father and the Son. This is why my beloved, when any church leader like me lives for themselves, they destroy themselves and the flock of Christ with them. One hundred percent.

Because I can't fulfill the covenant with God the Father. Only the Son can. What happened to the Israelite people? None of them entered the promised land.

Except two. Joshua and Caleb. Out of the entire Israelite people, none of them entered the promised land.

Because all of them broke and were in breach of that covenant. So now God says, I'm going to enter with my Son. And whoever receives my Son, that is the only way to remain in the covenant of grace of the New Testament.

And for this very reason, the Lord Jesus put this non-negotiable condition from the very start. When any person comes and says, Jesus, I believe in you. I want to be with you.

I want to receive you as my Lord, my God, my King, my Savior, my Redeemer. The moment you say this to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Lord will turn prior to you, putting one foot forward in his way. He will say, carry the cross and follow me.

If you don't carry the cross and follow me, you cannot follow me. Because the covenant is between the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This is the only one whom the Father found to be sinless, faithful, loyal to the Father.

And the only one who is able to fulfill the entire covenant with God the Father. He says, you need to follow Jesus Christ of Nazareth by carrying your cross. And what is the cross? Death.

And what is death, biblically speaking? Self-denial. When a person dies, far from all of you, they are no longer in existence. Do you see them anymore? No.

Do you hear them anymore? No. They are no longer on earth. They're gone.

Meaning, I don't live for myself, but Christ who lives in me. I don't exist for myself. No longer me, me, me.

It is Christ, whatever he says, I have to do. That's why this condition for the Lord is non-negotiable. Carry the cross, meaning you need to die for your old person in order to be embedded in the new person called Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now why I need to be crucified? My beloveds, this is a bit of a theological statement here. If you want to know what theology is all about, this is a small taste of it. Our father Adam ate from the forbidden tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God said to him, don't eat from this tree. The day you eat, surely you shall die. When Adam ate from the forbidden tree, that action which our father Adam took upon himself, we did not inherit.

Meaning, it is none of my business and it's not my problem for my father Adam to have eaten from the tree. That is his problem, his responsibility. God said to him, don't eat, he ate.

Nothing to do with me. But something happened when Adam ate from the forbidden tree. Something was born in him that never existed before called I am, me.

Prior to Adam breaking God's word, who was Adam's I am? God. When Adam ate from the tree, what did Adam say to God? From this moment onward, I, Adam, do it my way, not your way. In Adam was born the I am.

But this I am of Adam is the false God. And this is why God pre-warned Adam out of love. The day that comes, my son Adam, you do things your way.

Your beginning will be good, but your end, rest assured, will be evil. You will end up killing yourself by yourself. And let me see, when you look around and see people doing it their way, not God's way, where do they end up? All of them dead.

All of them dead, all of them destroyed. When a son does not listen to his dad and goes out and does whatever he wishes, he either ends up with drugs, alcohol, gambling, men, women, and then either in prison or being shot dead. Is there anything else? Impossible.

Why? Because God never lies. You do it your way, child. The beginning is beautiful, it's good.

Wow, this is the first time I've ever had fun in my life. I was imprisoned, I was enslaved at home. Mom and dad suffocated me, did not leave me to breathe.

What are you doing? Where are you going? When are you coming? Leave me alone. I went with my friends. We sat in the car with a big sabufa habibi in the back seat going, and we were cruising down the highway.

We got to the city at night, and there was beautiful lights and stars in heaven. And then I saw stars walking past me by in King's Cross, brother. Different colors of stars.

And I said, now you're talking, baby. Now this is life. Enjoy, bro.

What happens after a little while? Bro, you're finished. You have destroyed your life, your future, your whole being. You are no longer you anymore.

What happened? You look at yourself in the mirror, you don't recognize yourself anymore. I was that innocent young man at home. Now, I'm an evildoer.

I was that innocent young girl at home. Now, I am a master in every trade of Satan. When we don't listen, very dangerous.

When we don't listen to our earthly parents, we destroy ourselves. Then how much more, when we don't listen to our Heavenly Father, do we destroy ourselves? My beloveds, the Lord says, there is the I Am in you. And there is only one other I Am, and that is the true living God.

The creator of everyone, and everything that is visible and invisible. And there can only be one I Am. Two I Ams at the same time, in the same place, can never work.

It is either me, Jesus Christ, as your God, or either you, your own God. The two Gods together will never work, because what you believe, I don't. And what you think, I don't.

And the way you walk, I don't. Everything about you, I disapprove. And the only solution that is left for me, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to say to you, with a non-negotiable condition, you must die to your old self, in order to live for me, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Your I Am must be buried, you must be crucified, in order for the true I Am, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who says, before Abraham was, I Am. You need to live in this I Am. When we carry the cross, and we be submissive to the Lord Jesus, it is then and then only, we enter the covenant of grace, which is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

My son, my daughter, I beg of you, if you haven't experienced it, look around you, and see the people that have experienced this world, away from God. Where do they end up? Let me ask you this, and please allow yourself to ask yourself this question, and please search for the answer. You go to a concert, I'm not judging.

You go to a concert, some Hollywood celebrity came from America to Sydney, and there is a huge concert in Sydney Stadium. The tickets are sold out. You're trying to get one in the black market, it was $50 online, and now you're trying to pay $500, just to get in, even if you sit at the last row at the top, where you don't see much, but you want to be there.

You're paying money to be in a place that gives you nothing but poison. Hollywood, root of evil. The root of evil.

Illuminati. It was established deliberately to brainwash millions upon millions of young men and women's brains, and take them away from the true divine God. That's what Hollywood is all about.

Don't ever say, this celebrity and that one, no, just get a life, man. Anybody enters Hollywood is destroyed before they leave it. Yes, they make you a billionaire.

Yes, they make you famous, but they take your spirit from you. And they take you from God. What have you gained? What does it benefit a man if he gains the whole world, but at the end, loses it, the Lord says.

You go to that concert, you pay money, and you spend hours upon hours upon hours trying frantically to be there. And you don't want it to finish. After 10 hours, you said, oh, what a shame.

It finished so quickly. But the Lord invites you to His holy house, the church, for free. To give you not death, to give you eternal life for free.

And you don't want to come for free and sit for an hour or two, especially when the bishop is preaching. It goes just over two hours. But you don't want to stay in the church for an hour or two for free to gain eternal life.

But you run and pay money and energy and time to gain the poison of the snake and eventually die. You're running there, but you're not running to Christ. We ask ourselves this question, why? The Lord, through Isaiah the prophet, is talking to the Israelite nation.

But in a way, he is upset, he is hurt out of love. He said, come, let's engage in a dialect. Let me see, what is it that I have not yet done for you, oh, Israelite nation? I have cleansed the land from anything that is of no use.

I have planted my vineyard, my vine tree. I have put everything that you needed. I gave you everything that you needed.

You did not lack anything. But at the end, why did you choose not to love me? Why? I gave you everything. I've done everything for you.

Why are you not loving me? And to the Christian world, what else could I do more than dying on the cross for all of you? What else are you asking me to do? I gave you the ultimate, my life. I died. I can't give any more.

There is nothing more precious than my life, I, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I gave it freely, willingly on the cross, just to save you. Then why aren't you coming, running to me? Why do you run to Satan, and you don't want to run to Jesus Christ? What else, what else can I do for you? I have no idea.

My children, look around you and see people that have denied me and walked away from me. Look how they ended up, where they ended up. Life destroyed, either in prison or a bullet in the head.

Nothing else. Come to the Lord to find yourself. To find the true love.

Let me build you up. Let me show you the way. Let me keep you in my light, in my truth.

Enough lies. The world is nothing but a lie. They will lie in your face.

They will give you all the promises, but at the end it is a poison. Because the world is ruled by the old snake called Satan. And what are you going to get out of the snake but poison, my child? The snake does one thing, tries to kill.

That's all. Come to the Lamb of God. Who died for you to give you eternal life.

Eternal life. Eternal life. From this very perspective comes the covenant of law and the covenant of grace.

From this very perspective comes the covenant of law and the covenant of grace. Now we are going to put here both covenants in a comparison table in three integral aspects. Number one, we are going to put the covenant of the law and the covenant of grace in the integral aspect of the beginning.

Number two, the end. Number three, the essence. It's not on the screen, unfortunately.

The beginning, the end and the essence of both covenants. Now let's come and see what each covenant did. As far as beginning is concerned, as far as the end is concerned and as far as the essence of the covenant is concerned.

Let's come to the first one. The beginning, the law in its beginning and grace in its beginning. The law in its end and the grace in its end and the law in its essence and the grace in its essence.

Let's come to the first one. The law in its beginning. What happens? When Moses grounded that golden calf to powder and scattered it on the waters and made the people drink those waters.

See, from the very hands of your labor, you shall eat and drink, brother. What you do is what you are going to get at the end. Alright, so I scattered it on the face of the water and I made the people drink from what they have done.

Now, some people in the Israelite nation said, oh well, Moses, like you demolished the golden calf. Hey, we can make another one. We don't want to repent.

After coming to church, no, I still like the club. After drinking the blood of the Lamb of God, I still like the worldly wine. After coming and praising the Lord, I still want to swear in the world.

Okay, so what did Moses do? He said, he stood one day and addressed the entire Israelite nation. He said, if anybody out of you wishes to choose the Lord, come and stand next to me. A lot of people came, but there was one tribe called Levi, the tribe of Levi.

The entire tribe of Levi came and stood next to Moses. They chose the Lord through Moses. Moses turned to the Levites.

He said, now, I want you to carry the sword and walk in the midst of the entire Israelite nation. And ask them, do you wish to make a golden calf again? Anybody says yes, kill that person. And if that person happens to be your dad, your mom, your brother, your sister, your wife, your husband, you kill them without hesitation.

Anybody wishes to build and make that calf again, kill them. The Israelite, the Levite tribe took the sword and went and asked the people of the Israelite nation, do you want to make the calf again? They said yes, they killed that person. In that day, they killed about 3,000 people.

In that day, they killed about 3,000 people. The law in its beginning killed 3,000 people. Let's come and see the grace in its beginning.

The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples. Simon Peter got up, stood and preached. In one hour, he brought 3,000 people to Christ.

The covenant of law in its beginning killed 3,000 people. The covenant of grace in its beginning saved and gave life eternal to 3,000 people. And here, the Holy Bible says that the law is capable of killing you, but grace is capable of saving you and giving you eternal life.

Which one do you want to live and walk under? Under the mercy of the law or under the mercy of grace? If you walk under the mercy of the law, meaning you do things your way, the law will judge you and the law will sentence you to eternal death. Total separation from God. But if you choose willingly to walk under the mercy of grace, you are walking under the covenant of the New Testament between the Father and the Son.

When you receive Jesus and say, Lord, let me live you. Let me follow you. Let me walk in your footsteps.

Grace will give you eternal life. So the beginning of the law, death. The beginning of grace, life.

Now let's come to the end of the covenant of law. At the end of the covenant of the law, it is the book of Malachi. He is the last prophet of the Old Testament covenant.

When you go to the book of Malachi, the last prophet, and you go to the last chapter, being chapter 4, and the last verse, being verse 6, you will read the following. God is saying in Malachi, the last prophet of the Old Testament law, and in the last chapter 4, and in the last verse 6, God is saying there, lest I come and strike the earth with curse. The covenant of law ends with a curse.

Let's see the covenant of grace. What does it end with? What is the end of the covenant of grace? Book of Revelation, chapter 22, the last chapter, and the last verse, 21. We read in Revelation 22, 21, The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Amen. The end of the covenant of law, curse. The end of the covenant of grace, grace.

You want to be cursed? Or do you want to be graced by the Almighty God? The choice is yours. The last one, the essence of law, and the essence of grace. Let's come to the essence of the covenant of law.

What is the essence of the covenant of law? We find it in two places in the Old Testament. One in Deuteronomy 6, 5, and the other one in Leviticus 19, 18. Deuteronomy 6, 5 says the following.

This is the essence of the law. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And in Leviticus 19, 18, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

This is the essence and the heart of the Old Testament law, or the covenant of law. You shall love God with all your self, and you shall love your neighbor like yourself. Now let's see the essence of the covenant of grace.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3, 16. The essence of the covenant of grace.

What did you notice here? The essence of the covenant of the law. You must love God, but the essence of the covenant of grace. God is the one who is loving you, not you loving Him.

The Old Testament says you must love God. The New Testament says God loved you so much, He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. We love Him because He loved us first from the very beginning.

1 John 4, 19. The first epistle of John 4, 19. We love Him because He first loved us.

In the New Testament, it is not expected of you to love Him. It is God who came loving you. Why? Because God expected people to love Him, all of them failed.

No one was able to love God with all of their heart. If Adam had loved God wholeheartedly, he wouldn't have eaten from the forbidden tree. But for Adam to eat from the forbidden tree, looks like his love was not fully for God.

There was a percentage of love for himself. That's why he did what he wanted, not what God wanted. But in the New Testament, the covenant is between the Father and the Son.

The Son says, I loved my dad with all of my heart. And I loved my neighbor like myself. I came to do, not my will, but the will of my dad.

Why? Because my love for my dad is perfect. There is no one little dot of love for me, I, Jesus. All of my love is for the Father.

And I loved my neighbor like myself. And I said, Dad, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. I loved them till the end, the death of the cross.

I remained loving them. You choose Christ, God will love you. And there is no other way for me and you to say we love God, unless Christ is the crown of our glory, our King.

Because it is only through Christ we are being enabled to love God. Because only Jesus loved him wholeheartedly. And whoever dwells in the Son, through the Son, you will love God wholeheartedly.

It is the Lord that makes it a hundred out of a hundred. And I leave you with this, my beloveds. But we need to pray and beg the Lord for His mercy, for His peace to be bestowed in His beloved church and in the entire world.

And also here, more specifically, here in our country, Australia, and every country. Pray for America, pray for Canada, pray for Europe, pray for Asia, pray for the Middle East, pray for Israel and Palestine. No more bloodshed, no more fighting, no more killing.

Enough, enough, enough, enough, enough. We need to live, we need to live and we live with honor, with respect, with loving one another. And sharing this land, this beautiful planet with one another.

It is none of us, this land is not us, it is not for us. You can say, this is my country, this is my land. At the end, that land will end up being the graveyard for every single human being.

Don't fight over something that was never yours, never will be. Love one another, respect one another, and be nice and kind to each other. Jesus is the only one who is going to show you how to do that.

You need Christ. Amen? Let's stand for the finale prayer. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

One God, Amen. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.

Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console.

To be understood as to understand. To be loved as to love. It is in giving that we receive.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. It is in dying that we are born again to eternal life. Amen.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, guide you, and protect you all the days of your life. Now and forevermore. Amen.

Go in peace. The peace of Christ be with you always, our beloved. Amen.

God bless.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the covenant of law and the covenant of grace?
The covenant of law was given through Moses and involved God's agreement with the people who repeatedly broke it, while the covenant of grace is established through Jesus Christ, who perfectly fulfilled God's promises and mediates between God and humanity.
Why is Jesus considered the perfect mediator in the covenant of grace?
Because Jesus is both fully God and fully man, He perfectly obeyed the Father without fail, fulfilling all prophecies and offering Himself as the spotless sacrifice to cover human sin and nakedness.
What does the 'nakedness' mentioned in the sermon symbolize?
Nakedness symbolizes spiritual sinfulness and shame resulting from breaking God's word, as seen in the examples of Adam, Noah, and Aaron, which Jesus covers through His righteousness.
Why did Jesus say 'I thirst' on the cross according to the sermon?
Jesus said 'I thirst' to fulfill the prophecy in Psalm 69:21, ensuring that all messianic prophecies were perfectly completed, which was necessary for Him to qualify as the Savior.
How does the sermon describe Jesus' relationship with God the Father?
Jesus always says 'yes' and 'amen' to the Father, perfectly obeying Him without any refusal, unlike humans who have both 'yes' and 'no' in their hearts.
