And the nurses in the hospital, they would tell my children that, look here, you fix up the coffin, this old man is dying. ... I think they will die first before I die. ... I remember when the Lord had really quickened me. Surely, as I stand in front of you, it is only the prayers of God's children. ... My dear brother, one day, he drove from here up to Pretoria and said, the Lord said, I must come and pray for you. ... And he prayed for me on that day. And another pastor also in Pretoria, he came to me and said, yesterday the Lord told me that I must come and tell you that you're going to stand. ... The other one also from the Cape came and prayed for me. I can't remember, there were so many Christian friends who came to pray for me. Ninety percent of the people who came to pray for me were white brethren. I remember one day when I stood in front of those medical men who said, I will remain on the wheelchair until death. ... You know, when I stood in front of them, they were laughing. In my heart I say, they are laughing at their stupidity and false prophecy. ... The prophecy was not fulfilled as they said. ... So, if at all you also prayed for me, I say, thank you, the Lord bless you. ... But now, I want to sing a solo for you before I preach. ... This solo is actually a testimony of what I've said to you now. ... Please don't help me. ... I know that sometimes Christians will want to help me. Just listen to me. ... As I move among the teachers, they would say I'm a moving miracle. Those who saw me on the wheelchair at the hospital, they are taken aback. They don't know what to say. Now recently when they saw me driving, how do you like it? I was driving, a man from a wheelchair, but I'm driving now. I just gave all the glory to the Lord. He is worthy to be praised. He is yesterday, today and forever the same. He did miracles yesterday, he's still doing even tomorrow, he'll be doing that. It's a great pleasure for me to have attended this wonderful conference. Although really when I look at our auditorium there yesterday, I was so excited. I was so excited. You know, this song came to me, I wish we could sing it now. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the angels rejoice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, and give him the glory, great things he has done. Indeed, he has made great things when I look at that auditorium. And that great thing should be prayed for and contributed so that it reaches its completion. I will appreciate that. Now let's go to the Word of God. The infallible, immutable Word of the Living God. The Word which the Lord Jesus says, Heaven and Earth shall pass away. But my way shall remain forever and ever. Oh, what a wonderful theme, the agents of the hour. You know, when I received this letter of invitation, the Lord reminded me of Proverbs 24. Let's read Proverbs 24 verse 10 to 12. And 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 3 and 4. Proverbs 24 verse 10 to 12. Proverbs 24 verse 10 to 12. Then we'll go to 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 3 and 4. 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 3 and 4. Proverbs 24 verse 10 to 12. Proverbs 24 verse 10 to 12. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, thou art those who are ready to be slain. If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not, doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall he not render to every man according to his doing? Dear brothers, the Lord laid on my heart this theme, rescue the perishing. In this agency of the hour, it is time that the church of Jesus should rescue the perishing people. Because the time really propels us to do this. Because the time really propels us to do this. Now, let's read before we continue. I'm sorry, Timothy chapter 2 verse 3 and 4. I'm sorry. So this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Oh brethren, the desire of God is to see all people get saved. Now at this agency of ours, if it is the desire of God to see all people to be saved, then that should be also the desire of the church. Now this theme which the Lord has laid on my heart, it has some questions and answers. The first question is, who are these people to be rescued? Because it is also God's will that these people should be saved. Not necessarily becoming just a church goer. They need to be saved because it is the will of God that people should be saved. The first question is, who are they? Just write down in John chapter 10 verse 10. Don't page it because there are many verses that I am going to give to you. John 10 verse 10 says, the thief cometh for to steal, to kill and to destroy. In other words, these people who are to be rescued are people stolen by the devil. I don't know other people, but if you go to our black society in South Africa, you will see our young people being stolen by the devil from Friday, Saturday, Sunday, they can't even go to church. They go to the discos, they go to the pubs and all this kind of thing. You people don't know about these things that are happening. There is another jar that says, The thief will keep them busy from Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the morning. They are utterly exhausted. They can't visit the house of the Lord. I was surprised when I was in England last year in July. I thought the devil has stolen only our young people in South Africa. I was amazed. The so called Great Britain, my two weeks that I stayed there, it became a small Britain to me. Academically, economically, maybe they are still above us, but morally down. The young people there in as far as drugs and pubs and discos and all this kind of things are teenage pregnancy and all this kind of evil things. Knife in England has become a fashion. There were two boys from France, they were stabbed 200 stabbing wounds. After being stabbed, they were set alight. It was a sad thing to see the papers of England talking about all these things. They could not even give me a chance to preach in their churches. I remember a church which is nearby my daughter's place there. I went to that church and they said those who want to pray, they can come forward to the mic and pray. My prayer was mixed with testimony, message and everything there. After I prayed, they could not say amen, they were just clapping hands. Then I said, oh, maybe they will give me a chance. Never gave me a chance. But I had taken about 2000 Christian texts from all nation gospel publishers. So I went to the streets giving them texts, spiritual literature. When you want to give somebody, they will say no thank you. The other gentleman, when I wanted to give him a text, he said, go and give him a cabbie. When I said to him, look here, if it were possible, I would go and give him a cabbie. I'm sick and tired of what he's doing to our people there. He drew nearer to me and we could discuss. The word of the Lord says our stolen people. At this hour of age and hour, we need to go and take them back again from the devil. Many years ago, I went to Fredendal out in Northern Cape to go and preach in a colored church. Oh, there were 200 young men and women. The girls were wearing white clothes and the boys were wearing paklira and it was so beautiful. Then I asked myself, Lord, until when shall they be in the house of the Lord? Before the thief, which is the devil, comes and steals them. Who are to be rescued? Romans 6 verse 23. It says, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The people whom we are supposed to rescue are people who have got a death sentence above their heads. If men of God could be aware of the fact that we are in a terrible hour, an hour of going to really take them out from this sentence today. They must forget about their differences and bragging. Oh, my church is a big church. I've got many members in my church in this kind of thing. They've got a death sentence hanging upon their heads. I've grouped death into three. The first death is what we can call a physical death. A physical death is this thing. You know, this thing that stands in front of you, it is not Chauke. This thing, my flat nose and short hair, this is not Chauke. I call this thing my accommodation. I stay inside here. You know, this thing, when God did this, he did not speak. He said, let us make man. He took dust. I can't understand why are people proud. Because they are just from dust. Oh, if you look at the ladies, they go for the whole hour. Ah, ladies, understand me well. I don't say you shouldn't do like this. But the more you do like this and say, your insight also, please, Lord. Because this is not the really you. After that, God had formulated this. As the Bible says, Adam laid there and he was moving, emotionless. Then God breathed in him. And man became a living soul. You are a living soul. You must consider the inward part of you. This is the inward part which God wants to save and redeem. Oh, but people are worried over this. A certain pastor in the Transvaal told me that one tycoon once died. A very rich man. And they said, no, we can't bury him with a common coffin. Now, they bought an expensive coffin. Some coffins, they reach about 20,000, 21,000. Now, when the coffin was laid here, people are coming to see for the last time. Everybody is coming to look through the coffin. The other person touched, he just touched the coffin accidentally and the corpse inside did like this. If everybody was, what's happening? The family came and said, don't be surprised, there's an inner supremacist inside. They're just caring for this thing. They spent a lot of money for this thing. They have forgotten the inner man. Oh, dear brothers and sisters, that is a physical death. The second death is what we can say a spiritual death. You read in Revelation chapter 3 verse 1. The Bible says you are popular and say that you live in it, you are dead. And Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1, the Bible says he has quickened us, we who were dead in our transgression and sin. There are people who are dead, having an open Bible, going to church every Sunday, singing so wonderfully in a church, who can preach so wonderful and yet God sees a corpse. Some are a religious corpse, an educated corpse, a rich corpse, a beautiful corpse. Because the inner man has no relationship with God. This is a terrible death. I don't know among the white people. We black people, our mothers and ladies, they can wear church from head to toe. The hat is a church, the blouse, the skirt, the shoes, everything is just church, church, church. But when God looks at her, she is a religious corpse. It is not a church that will bring people to heaven. In Pretoria, in Mamelode, you have a shortage of houses. There are people who are born in garages. You can't become a Mercedes Benz because you are born in a garage or a BMW. You can't become a car because you are born in a garage. You will remain a human being although born in a garage. My going to church every Sunday cannot make me a Christian. My accepting Christ, the Son of God, makes me a child of God. Let's look at the third death. The third death, we can name it an everlasting death. When you read the Word of God in the book of Matthew 25 verse 41, the Bible says Jesus will say to those who are on the left hand side, depart from me and go to everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. If at all there was a preacher who was talking about hell, it is the Lord Jesus. But today, most of the preachers say, it is just heaven, heaven, heaven. Even when Mtarati has died, it is because he attended church. Now, the second question is, what is God saying if we don't preach the gospel of salvation? Because it is God's will that people should be saved. When you read in Romans chapter 1 verse 14, Paul says, I am a debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians, to wise and unwise, if I don't preach the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9 verse 16, Paul says, Woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel. I like this verse in Southern Sotho. If you don't preach Christ, you are woe unto you. There are preachers today who no longer preach Christ. It is prosperity, prosperity, prosperity, prosperity, prosperity. Just look for money. Whenever they stand in front of the people, it is just prosperity, prosperity. The Bible says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you. You know what I call prosperity? Parcela. Your people from overseas, you don't know what parcela is. In the olden days, when you go to a shop and you buy something, then they will give you parcela. What can we call parcela that the overseas people should understand? Small gift. Now, today's pastors and evangelists are preaching parcela, parcela to the parcela, parcela. And yet, Paul says, I preach Christ and him crucified. And Jesus says, if I am uplifted, I will draw men unto me. Let's stop preaching parcela. Let's preach Christ whom Paul says, I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation. It makes me sick and tired of this thing of prosperity. Because it is Jesus who died on the cross. He is the only one who can save. Not prosperity. Ezekiel 33, verse 8. Listen to what God is saying unto Ezekiel. He says, Ezekiel, if I, the Lord Jehovah, say unto a wicked man, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die. And if you, as a prophet of God, you don't warn that person, you don't rescue that person to come to God, that person will die. And he says, you will be accountable of his blood. I'm just asking. It's too hot for me. Can I take out my jacket? There are some people who don't want to see a preacher preaching without a jacket. You can preach while you have love affairs. As long as you have your jacket on, it doesn't matter. But in the meantime, you are hiding Sister Sheila and Sister Maria under your jacket. Now listen here. The Bible says, the Lord says to Ezekiel, if I say to a wicked man, wicked man, you will surely die. And you don't warn that person. You are busy with your prosperity preaching. You don't warn that person to repent. He will require the blood of that person in your hand. I was driving my car so many years ago. Now, the radio pulpit was on. There was a demon who used to come and preach here with the name of Danny Steyn. He was preaching over the radio. I had to get off the road and park and listen to him carefully. Listen to his message. He said, a rich man got into a restaurant wanting to get something for his stomach. When the waiter came to him to come and serve him, God said to him, speak to this man. He started to do like this. There's no time, Lord. I can't talk to him. Some of the white people, if the preacher can preach for more than an hour, they will do like this. We black people, we don't look at the watch, we look at the sun. Now, this man, he started looking at his watch and he said, Lord, there is no time. I can't speak to this man now. He fisted his meals, got into his car. The more he drove, the harder and louder came the voice, speak to that man. He had to turn back quickly and go to the restaurant. When he came to the restaurant, he told the owner of the restaurant, describe what kind of a person he would like to meet. The owner said, I'm sorry, sir, you are too late. The very same man took a gun and went into the toilet. He blasted his brains apart. Once I was listening to that, I said, oh Lord, help me to preach the gospel uncompromisingly without any apology. Rescue the perishing in this age of hour. This is a terrible hour. It is a time that men of God should present Christ to the dying souls. What does Paul say in 2 Corinthians 5, verse 4? He says, the God of this world has blinded their minds. It doesn't matter how educated they are. It doesn't matter how many degrees are behind their name. But the God of this world has blinded their minds. They think they can understand God intellectually, you know, educationally. I once read a paper that in America they build a rocket. And they shot it to Jupiter. They say it will take about 2,300,000,000 miles. Now imagine what is behind all this. Man thinks that he can understand God upstairs. Dr. Billy Graham says, there is something wrong inside of us all. The trouble lies here, Benny. You need not go to space looking for God and see if there is any God. You know, I remember, I think it's Tito of the Russians. He also went to outer space and he came down. When he came back, he says, no heaven, no God, no angel. Our scientifically minded people, they get into the laboratory with those minor test tubes. They want to prove God out. They want to prove him in. And if they fail to prove God, they say there is no God. Dr. Billy Graham says, man with his limited mental capacity cannot comprehend the infinitude of God's immensity. Because man is a finite man and God is so infinite. Who are you with a little mind to analyze the almighty God? So if people want to be saved, you need not go and study or to do something else. The Bible says, faith comes after hearing and hearing the word of God. You need not go to outer space and spend so many miles. How much do they spend on those rockets? Millions and millions of dollars. And yet we evangelists are busy proclaiming the gospel. Sometimes our cars are getting broken and so forth. It is push me first before I go. There are people because the God of this world has blinded them. They cannot see God in everything. Let's come to the third question. How can I help? These are the qualifications of rescuing the perishing. You need not go to a theological college. Well, you can go if you wish. Matthew chapter 9 verse 36. The Bible says, when Jesus saw the multitude of people, he was moved with compassion. How do you feel if you go into town, you are in the city and you see people going like this, how do you feel inside? How do you feel if you see them playing soccer or rugby, being so many at the stadium, how do you feel inside? The businessmen, when they see such a multitude, they think of good customers. They must come and buy to my shop. The lawyers, when they see them, they just want clients. They must make things to come and defend them. The doctors, if they see a multitude, they think of patients to come so they can get money. Some of the pastors, when they see a multitude, they say, I wish they were my members so that they can give this. But when Jesus saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion. That is the qualification. Philippians chapter 2 verse 5, the Bible says, let this mind be in you which was in Jesus. If you want to rescue people from the hands of the devil, get the attitude of King Jesus. 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 14, Paul says, the love of Christ constrains me. You must not be constrained by something like money. There are some evangelists today. When you invite him to come and preach, he wants to know how much you are going to give him. When they come to your place, they don't want to stay in your house. They want to stay in a hotel. Yet Paul says, the love of Christ constrains me to do this. In Romans chapter 5 verse 5, he says, the love of Christ is shared abroad in our hearts. Psalm 81 verse 10, he says, open your mouth wide and I shall fill you. Blessed are those who open their hearts and say, Lord give me that agape. Acts chapter 1 verse 8, the Bible says, you shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you. Then you shall be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, even unto the utmost high. These are the qualifications of becoming a real evangelist. Now let me come to the last question. The last question is, how can I help? That's a time factor. I'm sorry, when can I help the time? You know, in Matthew chapter 21 verse 28, the Lord Jesus talked about two boys. The other one, the father said, my son, go and work today in my vineyard. I like it in Africans. If you want to know the time, he says, now it is time to start rescuing the souls. Matthew 9 verse 38, then said he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plentious, but the labors are few. Behold, now it is time. Let's come to the very last question now. How can I be practically involved? I wish there were young people in great numbers here. Because when you read in Jeremiah 1 verse 6 and 7, when God called Jeremiah, he said, Lord, I'm a child, I don't know how to speak. The Lord says, say not that I am a child, I will put the weight on your mouth. Joel 2 verse 28, he says, in the last days I will pour my spirit upon all flesh and young men and women will prophesy. The Lord is looking for young people to take this message and go and rescue the parishioners. But also elderly people, God is still looking for. Because granny and grandfather and grandmother, they can't walk for a long distance, but you can still be full time in the work of the Lord. Listen to what the word of God says in Psalm 55 verses 18, 16 and 17. He says, as for me, I will call upon the Lord evening, morning and at noon. In other words, elderly people cannot go about, I remember my dear dad Billy Graham, oh I love that old man. He used to go all over. But I understand now he is limited, he can't go anywhere. Because of the old age. But listen here, you can go full time. On your knees. You can pray in the morning, noon and evening. If you cannot go to Russia, you can throw your prayers right into Russia. You can throw your prayers right in America and pray for Obama. You can throw your prayers into India wherever. Let me explain this thing with this. I was once invited to come and talk. To the APLA and MK and South African Defense Force. It was the time when they were busy doing an amalgamation of these three armies. Then I started with APLA and MK, about 600 men and young men. I taught them a chorus there. A chorus which I taught the children here, I've been a sinner for too long but I'm turning to the Lord. It was as if the roof would cave in the way how they sang those names. And after the message there was a positive reaction. Then I went to the South African Defense Force. When I came there, the Lord wept in such a way that some of them were crying tears. Then they said, Pastor, come let's show you how we do it practically. The other one was in that van, I don't know what you call it, van. There's a window, he's popping out his head like this and there's a machine gun there. And the others were on the side. But the others were throwing bombs. The Lord taught me a spiritual lesson there. You know, in the field of the Lord, there are some pastors and evangelists. Some of the pastors know the Bible, they will quote it. Oh, I like Dr. Velimarae, when he preaches, he says, trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr They send in the bombs, boom! And you know, sometimes you come to a place and preach a short message. And you see how the Holy Spirit moves the people. It is not your message, but the bombs of prayer. Oh brethren, at this time, this hour, throw the bombs, please. If you cannot go, just throw the bombs. Oh South Africa, meet bombs as never before. 2 Chronicles 7 verse 14, the Bible says, If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and repent from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin and heal their land. Oh, there is healing for this country. There is healing for the world if the people of God My brethren, I want to tell you I've got a special prayer which I pray. I'm praying to the Lord for a divine amalgamation of the body of Christ. I pray that may the day dawn where the reformed save Christian where the saved evangelicals where the saved Pentecostal and Charismatics would bury their differences and amalgamate. Not necessarily getting out from your church, going to the other one. But let the church walls not become an impediment to the unification of the body of Christ. Because Jesus is praying in John chapter 17, 21 Father, that they may be one just like me and you. Because when the Lord Jesus comes he is not coming for the Pentecostal or for the evangelical or reform only. He is coming for every born again child of God who lived a holy life as we have heard here. Now listen the word of God saying if we could meet those conditions God has set he is going to heal our land. He is going to heal the world. There is no political leader who will bring solution. It is only a humble praying church of God living to the standard which God has laid for us. Let me conclude. If you cannot go full time preaching the gospel as we are preaching and feeling that oh when I go full time what about finance and all this kind of thing If you cannot go as an old man to preach the gospel Listen here, your money can go for you. There is no I mean because I am touching money now. Your money can go for you. Dr. Ozo Smith of Canada Toronto of the People's Church He has got a congregation there in Toronto. Can you guess how many missionaries are financially assisted by this one congregation Eight hundred and fifty missionaries have been sent by this one church to go and rescue the souls. But today's churches only one pastor they cannot carry. Oh may God help us. Our old missionaries in South Africa Their aim was to preach the gospel from the Cape to Cairo. Listen here child of God. Just because the church of Christ is not busy is not prepared to go and rescue the souls. Do you know what are the Muslims saying? They say from Cairo to the Cape, Islamize. The church has lost her vision. Where there is no vision, the people perish. May the Lord enlighten us this afternoon. There is a chorus. I would like us to sing it. It's in Southern Sotho. but Lord, I'm prepared to go. I'm prepared to open my mouth and tell them about the only hope, which is Jesus Christ. At this age and time, may the Lord help us.
