Negative Trends, People, and Events in the End Times (With Korean Translation)
Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

Sermon Summary
Mike Bickle discusses the negative trends, people, and events in the end times, emphasizing the Great Tribulation as a time of unprecedented difficulty for humanity, particularly for Israel and the church. He explains that while the Antichrist will rise to power and bring persecution, this period will also serve to purify the church and fulfill God's judgment against evil. Bickle highlights the roles of the Antichrist and the false prophet, detailing their influence and the significant events that will unfold, including the abomination of desolation and the mark of the beast. He reassures believers that despite the challenges, God's plan will ultimately prevail, and the church will play a crucial role in standing against these negative forces. The sermon concludes with a call for understanding and preparation for the coming challenges.

Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus for the release of understanding of your word. I ask you to bless the speaking and the hearing of your word. In Jesus' name, Amen. In part 3, we're going to talk about the negative trends and people and events in the end times. I made a mistake in our last session. I said it was a 12-part series, but actually there's 14 teachings and 3 question and answer sessions, so it's really 17 parts. So there'll be 14 teachings and 3 question and answer sessions. I'm just saying that for those that want to get the whole series and maybe give it to a friend, there'll be 14 plus 3, 17 total. Well, when we talk about the negative trends, the negative events and negative people of the end times, we begin with the subject of the Great Tribulation. Paragraph A, this will be the most difficult time in all of human history. For Israel, the church, and the nation. It will also be the most glorious time for the church, but it will be the most difficult as well. In Daniel chapter 12, an angel appeared to Daniel and spoke to him. He described the Great Tribulation. He said it would be a time of trouble such as never happened in the world, ever in the world. Then he went on to say it would last time, times, and half a time. And a time is one year. Times, plural, is two years. And a half a time is a half a year. And that is made clear by many other Bible verses. So the angel told Daniel it would last for three and a half years. Then 500 years later, Jesus quotes what the angel told Daniel. And Jesus titled it the Great Tribulation. The angel called it a time of trouble. Jesus said it will be a time of great tribulation. And then he emphasizes, it will be a time of trouble such as never existed in history or never in the future will such a time exist. He said that unless the days were shortened, nobody would be saved, physically is what he's talking about. But for the sake of the elect, the days were shortened in terms of the plan of God. So the elect will be on the earth during this time. That's why the time is shortened, for their sake. Those are the words of Jesus. Paragraph B. The time of great tribulation is when God judges sin and Satan attacks the people of God. But this attack of the people of God will end up purifying the church. And so it's going to backfire on Satan. He will want to destroy the church, but it will actually purify the church. The main emphasis of the Great Tribulation, it's God's judgment against the Antichrist. It's not God's judgment against the saints. The saints do not come under the wrath of God during the Great Tribulation. But the great oppressor of the nations is the one being judged. The book of Revelation is mostly about the destruction of the bad guys. People read the book of Revelation and they go, Oh no, I don't want to be there. That would be like the children of Egypt reading about Moses and the ten plagues of Egypt and saying, Oh no, I don't want to be there. The ten plagues of Egypt did not come on the children of Israel, they came on Pharaoh. The end time judgment doesn't come on the church, it comes on the Antichrist and his empire. The second emphasis in the Great Tribulation is Satan's rage against the people of God. But that's actually a very minor emphasis in the book of Revelation. In the book of Revelation, there's 403 verses. There's only 12 verses out of 400 that are about persecution. So only 3% of the book of Revelation is about persecution of the saints. The book is not mostly about the trouble on the saints, it's the trouble on the Antichrist. Top of page 74, paragraph C. The pressure in the Great Tribulation it will come from four sources. It will be the wrath of God upon the enemy. It will be Satan's rage against the saints. It will be man's sin against one another. And it will also be the convulsions of creation, Paul called it creation groaning. So those four sources will be the four sources of pressure in the Great Tribulation. Let's look at the negative people and the negative events. Paragraph A. Obviously, the most negative person is the Antichrist. The word anti means that he is a substitute for Christ or he is in opposition to Christ. And the word Christ means the anointed. So he's the anti-anointed and he's the substitute anointed. And that's what his name means. He will wage war against the people of God. He will reign for at least 7 years. The angel told Daniel it would be one week. But in the Hebrew language, one week meant one period of 7 years, not 7 days, is what the angel is referring to. We talk about a week of days, which is 7 days. But in ancient Israel, they also spoke of a week of years, which is 7 years. So the angel told Daniel he would function for one week or a 7 year period is what everybody understood that to mean. Because that was a common term in ancient Israel. He will first bring world peace. But the final three and a half years is where it gets very intensely negative. He will turn on Israel and he will turn on everybody who's worshiping him. In the last three and a half years, he will be raging in his anger against the human race. He will be the most demonized man that ever walked on the earth. But he will be a very intelligent man. Number one, the four components of the Antichrist empire. He will have political authority. He will have military force. Economic control. And he will have religious control. Those will be the four spheres of which he will gain great influence over the nations. In Daniel 8 24, it says his power shall be mighty. And he will destroy some of the most powerful leaders in the earth. He will have the greatest political coalition or alliance. He will have the largest army. The largest religious network. And the most money of any man that ever walked on the earth. The Lord is allowing him to have all the strengths that a natural man can have. And then he will utterly destroy him as he walks out the greatest that man can offer in sin to the human race. Top of page 75. Paragraph 3. Paul used three titles for the Antichrist. He called him the man of sin. The son of perdition. And the lawless one. Those are three Holy Spirit titles that describe the nature and the function of this man. John the Apostle is the only one who actually called him the Antichrist. That would be in 1 John 2 18. Paul never called him the Antichrist, but John did. He will be the most cruel man that ever walked on the planet. It will be impossible to negotiate with him for mercy. His way of thinking will be like a wild beast. He will be very intelligent and very skillful. But in his heart, he will be as cruel and unreasoning as a wild beast. You cannot go to a wild devouring beast and reason with him for mercy. The beast will not give you mercy. In the book of Revelation, he's called the beast 36 times. That's the main title of the Antichrist in the Bible. Because it's emphasizing no matter how politically wise and skillful he will appear. And he will bring peace to the nations. But the book of Revelation is saying, don't trust him. He is a wild beast on the inside. Paragraph 4. The book of Revelation says that he will have authority in all the nations. That they will worship him in all the nations. But don't misunderstand this. It doesn't mean that he will have total control of every nation. He will have a presence in every nation, but he will not have total control of every nation. He will have influence in every nation, but he will not dominate every nation. There will be many nations that will resist him to the very end. Though he will have influence and certain impact and have worshipers in that very nation. In Daniel chapter 11 verse 40 to 45, it describes some of the nations that war against him to the very end. I don't have time to go into this right now. But Revelation 16 makes it clear that the kings of the east resist him to the very final days before Jesus appears. They do yield to him, but if you understand the timing in the book of Revelation, the kings of the east resist him through the entire seven years or three and a half years. And in the last days or week or two, then they yield. So here's my question. What's going to happen in Asia that's going to enable the nations to resist the Antichrist so long? It's an important teaching that I'm not going to go into right now. But it is the fact that the kings of Asia will resist him throughout his entire reign to the very final few days. The question is, how will they be able to resist his seductions and resist his warnings and threats? I believe it will be because of the praying church in Asia. I believe that's a statement about the quality of the church in Asia, not the quality of the political leaders. There will be many ungodly leaders in Asia, but for some reason they will resist the Antichrist to the very end. I am convinced it's because of the praying church in Asia. Again, that's a big subject, what the Bible says about Asia in the final years of natural history. We'll look at that subject at another time. But I'm excited about the church in Asia. Something very powerful will be happening. So don't have the idea that all the nations will just be following the Antichrist in a happy way. That's not what the Bible says. Many nations will be warring against him to the very end, just like they were warring against Hitler to the very last days of World War II. Paragraph B, the second negative person that we want to look at is the false prophet. He will be a leader of a global religious network that will be devoted to worshipping Satan and worshipping the Antichrist. He will be a very powerful religious leader. He will also look like a man of peace and a man of reason, like the Antichrist will. He will be as evil as the Antichrist is. But he will appear kind and understanding and tolerant. He will not be tolerant in the truth of his heart. He has one major objective, one major assignment. To get the whole world to worship Satan and the Antichrist. Because the Antichrist will have a false worship movement. But Jesus will raise up the true worship movement. And the conflict at the end of the age will be two houses of prayer in the earth. The number one conflict in the generation the Lord returns will be between two houses of prayer or two worship movements in the earth. The main conflict will not be military, political or economic, though conflict will be in those areas. The main issue is who is worshipped on the earth. Satan tried to get Jesus to worship him because that's what he's really after is to be worshipped in the earth. But the Father ordained that Jesus would be the one worshipped in the earth, not the Antichrist. So the great collision at the end of the age is two houses of prayer, two worship movements completely colliding with each other. I have good news. We've already won. It's just a matter of walking it out. But I tell you there is nothing more important than the worship movements of the earth for Jesus being raised up strong. And I'm putting worship and prayer as one reality together. And for Korea to have this world leadership in this arena of worship and prayer is very significant in this hour of history. Now you think of it mostly as prayer, but worship is just a moment behind being released in that nation in a supernatural grace. Well the false prophet, he will influence people by his very powerful speeches. He will give speeches and move millions of people emotionally, move them in a deep way. And then he will do miracles to prove that what he said was true. And then he will establish the image of the beast. And then he will establish the mark of the beast economic system. Those are the four main ways that he will influence the nation according to the book of Revelation. Paragraph C. What is the image of the beast? It will actually be a statue or an idol of the Antichrist. My guess is that it will have a very sophisticated technology involved in it. But it will be more than technology. There will be a demonic supernatural empowering of this statue. The statue will do three things. The statue will talk. The statue will appear to breathe. And the statue will make laws that the nations will obey. Top of page 76. The other strategy of the false prophet is to establish the mark of the beast economic system. That the mark of the beast will be a mark on people's right hand or on their forehead. The idea is, everybody will be forced to be identified publicly and regularly. When you see anybody, it will be clear. They either have the mark or they don't have the mark. It will be public information that everybody can see. And it won't be a once a year or a once a month check-in. You wear it so it will be an everyday declaration of your allegiance to the Antichrist. During World War II, the Germans put yellow star on the Jewish people. And the idea was to mark them so they could always tell who was who. But the mark of the beast will be far more sophisticated than the yellow star. It will be necessary to have the mark to have access to the global economic systems. If you refuse the mark, which you will, you will not be allowed to buy the necessities of life. But the Holy Spirit has more power than even the systems of man on the earth. Jesus multiplied the bread on three different occasions. And God fed Israel in the wilderness for 40 years. Every single day, He fed them. And so we will not yield to that intimidation, but we will trust the Lord. So refuse the mark of the beast, people will be viewed as criminals of the state. They will be viewed as criminals resisting the prosperity of the state. But not only will we resist the mark, we will open our mouth and say, the mark is of the devil, it's born in hell, is what we will say. And this will make the nations very, very angry. Number one, the mark of the beast is an outward symbol of an inward commitment to worship Satan. In other words, people will not accidentally take the mark. Someone said, what if I just accidentally take it? I said, that will never happen. What if I go to sleep and somebody puts the mark on me? Well, it would be like somebody going to sleep and they put a wedding ring on your hand. It doesn't make you married. The mark of the beast will be a very purposeful transaction of a person's heart with the devil. You cannot accidentally become born again and give your life to Jesus because somebody did something to you. Nobody will accidentally make a covenant to worship the devil. Number two, the technology for the mark of the beast already exists today in the form of implanted microchips. Now, microchip technology by itself is not evil. Even having a microchip technology in your hand is not evil. That's not the point. It's when somebody takes it and they make a covenant to worship Satan. That's when it's evil. For the first time in history, the technology now exists where this kind of economic system could happen. Personally, I think the technology will be far more developed than it is right now. It will be more sophisticated before it's put into place, but at least we can imagine what it will be like, sort of. Again, my personal opinion, I think we're some decades out. I don't know how many, but I know the technology will be far more developed than it is today before this thing is put in place. But the fact is, even 50 years ago, nobody could make sense of this mark on the hand. It didn't make sense to anybody, but now it's very clear what it could be. So, for the first time in history, it's actually possible now, for the first time in human history. Okay, paragraph E. Another one of the negative or evil events that happens. The Antichrist's head wound and healing. The Antichrist will have a head wound and then it will be miraculously healed. This will be the great catalytic event that thrusts him into world prominence. He will seemingly be killed, and then healed. And all the nations will see it. And they will be overwhelmed with awe, and they will say, this is the most remarkable thing imaginable. And someone says, will he actually be killed? I'm not sure 100%. But it will certainly appear that way. Some of this is mysterious, what really happens, because demonic powers will be involved in a very dramatic way. But here's what I think is going to happen. I think that he's going to proclaim it ahead of time. He might do it in private to his main leaders. Because this is an imitation of Jesus' death and resurrection. I think that he's actually going to tell his inner circle of world leaders. I will die. And then after three days, I will rise up again. And they will say, wow, that would be really remarkable. Then he does it. And these leaders are overwhelmed. And then when he is healed, he will say this. Jesus of Nazareth is an imposter. He didn't die and rise from the dead. I did, not him. Who saw him die and rise from the dead? Nobody. That's what he will say, but he goes, I told you I would, and I did it in front of your very eyes. I am the Messiah. I think that he is going to use it this way because it will be an event that thrusts him into world prominence suddenly in one day. And many people will say, you know, now that you mention it, I didn't see Jesus die and rise from the dead. I only heard the story. And many people will fall away from the faith. And this man will look so powerful because he is a substitute or an antichrist. It will be a very dangerous time on planet earth spiritually to people who don't know what's happening. But for those that understand what the Bible says, they will not be deceived by this tremendous miracle. Top of page 77. The abomination of desolation. The abomination of desolation will occur when the antichrist sets his image in the Jerusalem temple. And then he uses the mark of the beast to demand that he is worshipped as God. Jesus said, when you see the abomination of desolation. When you see the antichrist put his image in the temple in Jerusalem. And when you see him require the whole world to worship him by the mark of the beast system. He says, then you will understand the hour that you're living in. Now it's interesting, he's talking to the believers, to the apostles. He said, when you see, the saints will actually see this. They will be on the earth during this time. Believers will see this. People who believe Jesus and they will respond according to what he said in this verse. Why is it called the abomination of desolation? That's a very unusual term. That was a term that the angel gave Daniel back in the book of Daniel. Because it will be a great act of abomination that leads to desolation or destruction of the nations. The abomination will be that the antichrist says, I am God and you must worship me. That's the abomination. And the abomination will be that many people on the earth will say yes and they begin to worship him. That's the abomination. That he demands to be worshipped and millions actually say yes and worship him. That's the abomination. What is the desolation? The word desolation is the same idea as destruction or devastation. Because this abomination will lead to great destruction in the earth. Number one, it will have a two-fold destruction or two-fold desolation. Jesus will bring judgment on everybody who worships the antichrist. And the antichrist will bring desolation on everyone who doesn't worship him. Or at least he will try to. He won't be successful. He won't get everyone. So Jesus said, if you do worship him, I will bring desolation upon you. And the antichrist says, if you don't worship me, I will bring desolation upon you. Everyone on the earth has to decide which one they believe. And so this act of abomination will cause the world to be in desolation by Jesus or by the antichrist. Two different expressions of it. So this is one of the great events of the end times. Negative events. The abomination of desolation. Paragraph H. The antichrist ten nation confederation. There are 232 nations in the earth right now. Though that number changes. And there's different designations according to different sources. But that's approximately the number today. But ten of those nations will have a very specific and deep relationship with the antichrist. And the rest of the 220 nations, many of them will join the antichrist and many of them will resist the antichrist. Even though the antichrist will have influence and a presence of his people in every one of those nations, he won't control them all. But these are ten powerful nations that come under his leadership in a very unified and deep way. And they will give him the greatest political, military and economic power in all of human history. Some people have thought of the ten nations of Europe. I don't think that's what the bible teaches. I think Europe, the EU is one of the ten nations. It isn't the whole of the ten nations, it's only one. There will be nine other nations of which Europe will only be one of the ten. And these nations are actually outlined in the bible in Ezekiel 38 and in Daniel. And they're nations Middle East, North Africa, Southern Russia and Europe. Northern Africa and East Africa. Middle East. Up in Russia and the Ukraine area. There's all kinds of nations up there. And inside of Europe. That will be the core of where those ten nations come from. But it will be the most powerful military base ever in human history. And the Lord is allowing the Antichrist to have every single human advantage possible to be able to present evil to the human race so they can decide if they want it. Before Jesus transitions this planet to the age to come. He's going to tell all the individuals in every nation of the earth. I only want you to come with me if you want to come with me. I'm going to allow you to have the best option of man's sin that man can offer. You get to have that if you want it. But I warn you if man gives you his best offer of sin, there will be murder and evil and oppression and perversion that will go with it. And we will say we don't want the best of what man offers in evil. We want you Jesus. But this is the reason for the Antichrist to offer the earth the best that evil can offer man. Jesus is not nervous about whether people will follow him. He knows his beauty and majesty is far greater than the devil's. Top of page 78. The emergence of the harlot Babylon. This is a very evil trend and event. It's a very significant part of the end time plan. It's God's plan to allow it, but it's the devil's plan to be deeply involved in it. This will be a worldwide economic and religious network. It will seduce millions to do evil. It is called Babylon because it will be based in the city of Babylon. The ancient city of Babylon will be rebuilt. All of human history is a conflict between two cities. Jerusalem and Babylon are the two cities of which the religious conflict of the earth has been centered around. And for 2,000 years people said Jerusalem will never be restored as a city. It's impossible. But the Old Testament prophets said no, Jerusalem will be restored. It will be at the center of the world conflict. A hundred years ago it was an impossible idea that Jerusalem would be a world-class city. It was a very small, insignificant, poor city with no power in it. And the Babylon is the same. For 2,500 years people said Babylon is nothing, but you wait. It will rise up just like Jerusalem did. People say, no, the Babylon thing is spiritual. It's symbolic. And I have no doubt there is symbolism related to it. But if you study the prophecies in detail, it is clear it's the actual city of Babylon just like Jerusalem that gets restored. Saddam Hussein was trying to do it. And I don't know who will do it, but I believe that there will be oil and there will be wealth related to it, and a world-class city will come up out of the ashes overnight. Just like what happened in Dubai. All of a sudden, out of the wealth of the oil, a world-class city like never seen before suddenly emerges. I believe in the decades ahead, you will hear or your children will hear the news, Babylon is being restored as a city. And there's many, many negative things associated with what will happen in that new city. When you study the prophecies about Babylon in Jeremiah 50 and 51, the Lord said three things very specifically about Babylon. It would be completely destroyed, permanently destroyed, and suddenly destroyed. Those three things have not happened yet. Babylon just kind of fizzled out and just got weaker and weaker over generations. But actually, it still exists today with about 5,000 people in it. It's never ever been annihilated or wiped out ever. It just got weaker and weaker and weaker. Jerusalem became weaker and weaker and weaker. But suddenly, these two cities will be recovered, and they will be at the center of world conflict. And some people say, no, it's symbolic. And I say, that's okay. That's not the biggest point of importance right now. Just like for 2,000 years, many in the church said, Israel and Jerusalem, it's only symbolic. It's never going to be restored. You wait and see. But history will take care of this. It will happen, and then it will become more clear what the end time prophecies are about. Top of page 79, the next negative trend will be the martyrdom of the saints. But it will cause great purity in the church, according to Daniel chapter 11, 33 to 35. Paragraph K, another negative trend, a falling away from the faith of people who profess their belief in Jesus. In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 3, Paul said, Let no one deceive you. The day, that means the coming of the Lord, the day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the Antichrist is revealed. Paul gave two very big and significant signs of the coming of the Lord. He said, two things will happen before Jesus returns. There will be a falling away from the faith on a global level. And the Antichrist will come onto the world stage. Let no one deceive you. Jesus is not coming to take you away until the falling away happens and until the Antichrist is revealed on the world stage. The reason why Paul said this, because if the saints are not aware of how significant these two evil realities are, they will be seduced by them when they happen. This is a remarkable prophecy by Paul. That the falling away will be so big and so significant, that it is equal in significance to the prophecy of the Antichrist appearing on the world stage. He makes those the two main signs that will happen before the Lord returns. So my question is, how big is this falling away going to be if it is of the magnitude of the Antichrist appearing? If it's that significant, how many will actually this involve? So somebody asks, is the church falling away or is the church having the great harvest and entering into the glory of God? The answer is both of them will happen simultaneously. Many will fall away because they are not rooted in Jesus and many will come to Him, I mean by the millions. By the hundreds of millions, they will come to Him. Paragraph L. The Armageddon campaign and the battle for Jerusalem. This will be a military conflict that will be very negative. We talked about this in the last session. The nations will lay siege or they will surround Jerusalem for three and a half years. And this will be a very, very intense global reality. Top of page 80. Paragraph M. Another negative trend will be the persecution of the Jewish people will increase far beyond what it is right now. I'm not going to take time to develop this, but I want to urge you to read this paragraph B and the paragraphs related, I mean M and the paragraphs related to it. Satan wants to completely exterminate the Jewish people. Jesus gave a prophecy in Matthew 23 verse 39. He said, I have a promise to you. And he was talking to the Pharisees and Sadducees. He goes, O leaders of Israel, I have a prophecy. I will not come back to Jerusalem until you ask me to. And the Jewish leader said, we will never ask you to come back to Jerusalem. We're going to kill you tomorrow. Jesus said, I promise you one thing. You will ask me and then and only then will I come back to Jerusalem. So the way I understand it, Satan saw this as his opportunity. He said, Jesus bound himself to a prophecy that he can't come back unless the Jewish people ask him to. This is fantastic. I annihilate and exterminate all the Jews. Nobody can ask him to come back to Jerusalem. You know what the devil is most worried about? He's not most worried about keeping people out of heaven. That's not the main thing on his mind. He doesn't like people going to heaven, but that's not number one on his agenda. He has a very terrifying thing that's before his mind. The book of Revelation 20. When Jesus comes to Jerusalem, he becomes king of the nations from Jerusalem. Satan goes to prison for 1,000 years. And this is what's on his mind. He does not want to go to prison. Satan isn't blowing up megachurches with terrorists. He's blowing up the city of Jerusalem with terrorists. Satan is far more worried about going to prison and what's happening in Jerusalem than he is a megachurch somewhere around the world. But when that megachurch gets involved in the true battle in the spirit related to Jerusalem, then the devil is against that mega ministry. Now he's against every person and every ministry in the earth because he has hatred in his heart, and he can't help but to be against everybody. But he is far more concerned with what happens in Jerusalem and the Jewish people inviting Jesus back. That's what he wants to stop. Top of page 81. Satan wants to completely exterminate the Jews where not one of them can ask him to come back to Jerusalem. Because Jesus will not come until the covenant people in that city beckon him, we want you to be our king, then he will come back to Jerusalem. So we find in Zechariah 13 that, look at this, this is a very intense passage. In verse 8, it shall come to pass two thirds of the Jewish people will be cut off and they will die. But one third will be supernaturally saved, I mean delivered physically and then they will call upon Jesus and be saved spiritually. Can you imagine what two thirds of the Jewish people would be like? Hitler killed about one third of, I mean Hitler killed 6 million people of Jewish background. Today there's about 18 million Jews, then that means the Antichrist will kill 12 million twice what Adolf Hitler did. You read Zechariah 13, it's a very, very serious chapter. There is coming another holocaust that will go beyond what Adolf Hitler did. Because Adolf Hitler was killing the Jews, I believe he was doing it for spiritual reasons, not because of racial hatred. Adolf Hitler said that he was the promised leader and that he would have a thousand year reign. My guess is this. It's a guess, I don't know. I imagine a demon, an angel of light appeared to him and said, I will give you world dominion for a thousand years, but you must exterminate the Jewish people, that's the deal. That's just an opinion that I have. I believe that Hitler was killing Jews because of spiritual reasons, not because of racial tension and bigotry. That was not what was driving him. But the Antichrist will come on the scene and he will get the promise of a thousand years. A thousand year reign, I'm assuming. But it will be a lie, there's only one man that has the thousand year reign, his name is Jesus of Nazareth. But the Antichrist will be far more effective than Adolf Hitler was in exterminating the Jews, but he will not succeed. But the Antichrist will be far more effective than Hitler was in exterminating the Jews, but he will not succeed. Look at this. The city of Jerusalem is going to be surrounded. And they will be surrounded for three and a half years. One half of the city will be taken into prison camps. That's a staggering prophecy. This is an Old Testament Hebrew prophet who says this. I've talked to Jewish believers and unbelievers. I said, what do you think about this prophecy? Because there are 600,000 Jews in Jerusalem right now, can we imagine what it would look like for 300,000 of them to go into prison camps in a modern world like this? We think, well, we're beyond that. That barbaric Adolf Hitler stuff, we're beyond that now. No, we're not. The earth is not beyond that. It's going to happen again. But number five, the reason we need to know this, it's a very, very big point. I only give one sentence, but it's a very big point. Jesus is going to require the church to stand with Israel in the great battle for Jerusalem in the last days. This is why we must understand the drama and the details that are in the prophecies. God is one of the reasons God's raising up the prophetic praying church across the earth. It's that they would do war in the spirit around the battle for Jerusalem. Again, that's a big subject. We'll look at it a little bit more in our 14 teaching sessions. And then in our question and answer time, we can break it down a little bit more, but it's a big subject. And when I say big subject, I mean there's a lot in the Bible on this subject in those 150 chapters I referenced earlier today. But the church must understand these Bible verses because they are the end time plan of Jesus that's in the Word of God. At the top of page 82, the final negative thing that I want to highlight in this short overview is the restraining force that's taken out of the way that allows the Antichrist to move on to the world stage. There is something that's restraining the Antichrist for coming on the world stage right now. And that restraining force is going to be removed, and that's a negative thing in terms of allowing the Antichrist to go forth. Now traditionally, that restrainer is called, people think it's the Holy Spirit. I don't believe it's the Holy Spirit. It is impossible for the great harvest to come to Jesus if the Holy Spirit's not in the world active. I've heard it said, well the Holy Spirit will be gone, and the church will be gone, and then the Antichrist will go forth. And then the gospel will go to all the nations of the earth, and the witness of the kingdom, but no Holy Spirit? How is that going to happen? With the Antichrist raging, and no Holy Spirit, how are a bunch of Jewish guys going to fill the earth with the gospel? And the church has been laboring for 2,000 years in the great harvest? And when the harvest comes to its most successful hour of history, I can't imagine the church will not be here to participate in the harvest. I mean that would be an amazing thing. For 2,000 years the church has labored, and in the hour of reaping, they're gone, and they do not get to reap the benefit of their labor. I can't imagine that. I believe that the reward that Jesus will give the church, they will see the full harvest even in their day. So I talk about the restrainer. I won't go into it now. I have a little bit of detail there. You can read that on your own. So those are the negative events, and the negative trends, and the negative persons that will be in the end time plan. I did not cover all of them, but I gave you the most prominent ones. Amen. Let's stand. Lord, I ask you just to seal this word in our heart. And Lord, give us living understanding of what the Bible says about this. In Jesus' name, Amen. We're going to take 10 minutes. Then we're going to have a worship song. And we're coming back to another session. Bless you.
