Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

And brother, there's nothing wrong with us being perfected in this love, instead of getting killed. Now, verse 21. Envy and drunkenness and all these things, things like these which affords to those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Is that plain, if you're practicing it? Now, what are you told of Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 12? I fear for you that you're practicing these things. See, Christ is not being formed in you, folks. Christ is not being formed in you, Corinthians. I'm coming back to you the third time, and I fear for you that you're still practicing strife and jealousy and all these works of the flesh. Amen? And when I come to you, I fear what I'm going to find. And if I find what I expect I'm going to find, I'm not going to be what you wish either, because I'm going to tell you about it. Amen? Just like he did to Galatians and everywhere else, because his motivation wasn't greed or impurity, like he told 1 Thessalonians 1, chapter 2. Now, we see verse 24. Now, those who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ have crucified the flesh with its passion and desire. That's who the body of Christ is, and that's how Christ is formed in you. Verse 22. But to prove the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temperance, and faith, against such things there's what? No law. And that's where I'm leading you to. That's where you've got to go to. That's where you've got to walk at. When you receive Jesus Christ as Lord, that's where you walk at. Against such things there is what? There's no law. There's no law or judgment there, because you're walking in righteousness. And the law is not written for a righteous man, but it's written for who? And then Jesus said, when you're walking in these things, you can ask the Father for anything in my name, and he's going to... I said, I've chosen you that you're going to bear fruit, and your fruit's going to remain, and then whatever you ask the Father in my name, he's going to give it to you. If your fruit remains, in other words, you don't fall away, you're going to endure to the end. Whatever you ask, get all your prayers answered. Why? It's the very opposite of 1 Peter 4, I mean James 4, verses 1 through 4, who tells him, he tells him, you've been blessing God and cursing your neighbor, you're walking like the world and the flesh, you adulterous, you want to judge the law instead of becoming a be a doer of the law. And he said, now when you come to pray, he said, when you pray, well, he first said, what is these conflicts and arguments among you? Your pleasure is right here. In other words, you're not putting to death the deeds, you're not being led by the Spirit of God. That's what he's saying. And so when you come to pray, you ask amiss, you don't get your prayers answered. Why? Because you're praying how? With the wrong motives. Right there. You can't come to pray with God to cooperate with the nature and character of Satan. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Are you following me now? Okay. Now, so we see over there the blessings and curses in chapter 6, verse 7. Do not be what? Deceived. God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that's what. All right, look at me, folks. Look at me right here. Everybody look at me right here. I want you to see the blessings and curses. What comes out of your mouth is what you get. That's the fear of God. The righteous judgment of God, the law of God is this. By your standard of measure, it's measured you. That's how the powers of darkness get grounded in your life. When any of these sins and things come out of your mouth, they start moving and get grounded in your life. Do you ever notice when you do something or say something or get involved in gossip or slander or judging, condemning, how you just feel kind of this stuff all over you? All of a sudden, the atmosphere has changed. There's tension all over the place. There's hell all over your house and everything there. Somebody calls you on the phone and your whole day is gone, right? Do not be deceived by what you sow is what you're going to reap. Now, I want to tell you something. If you sow the works of the flesh, that's because you're not loving the Lord with all your heart and you're not walking in repentance. If you sow to the Spirit, it's because you're loving the Lord with all your heart. Your mind is set on things above and your mind is not set on things of the flesh. Your citizenship, see, the whole thing is coming to Jesus so he can reconcile you to God and your will is going to be done in your life as it's done in heaven before they love the Lord with all their heart and their neighbors and stuff. Anything short of that will get you killed. So if you sow to the flesh, you're going to reap judgment and corruption. Now, let's just see the next verse. Don't be deceived. What you sow is what you're going to get. Verse 7, Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, this he's going to reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh, that's lawlessness and unrighteousness, that's the works of the flesh, shall from the flesh, what are you going to reap? That's a righteous judgment. God, you get corruption. By your standard of measure, it's measured to you. But the one who sows to the Spirit, that you're going to sow love. Put it up there for me, Frank. You sow this flesh, these deeds right here, that's the fruit of righteousness, that's the divine nature of God. Against such things there is no law. There's no law or wrath of God on anybody that's walking in these things right there. And that's the reason it says, And the one who sows to the Spirit, shall from the Spirit, what are you going to reap? That's where eternal life is. So you run in the same thing, salvation, salvation, salvation, salvation, over, over, over, it's bearing the fruit of righteousness, having the nature of God. Now don't get in your speculation and try to add some of your 20th century reason to it, try to make it something else. Amen? If you're not heading there, you're not running the race. And you're going to exercise self-control in all things. And don't make it something complicated or hard because we already said it's a rest in peace. And when we're walking in it, we're going to know what the fire is, and we're going to count it joy when we come through the trials. And that's the process of learning that. But I want to tell you something, folks, you can't count it joy until you learn to hate it. And you can't hate it until you use this part of the Bible. And you're not going to hate it until you love God more than what we've loved Him. And when we love God more and see the nature, and God is just pouring Himself, I mean, He is really doing something where He ought to kill us. He is just having such patience with us right now. And to encourage us. And when you draw near to Him, He draws near to you. And He encourages us to go on. And that's possessing the land. Because, put it up there, Frank. I want you to remember this. Walk with the Spirit, ladies and gentlemen. You will not count the desires of the flesh and as the Spirit of God in your love relationship with God. Don't go out, and I'm going to keep the law today. Boy, I'm going to be holy today. You're going to get in strife and stress to be holy. No. You're going to love God all day. You're going to love Jesus. And the result of it is that you're going to be a doer of good's law to Christ because He's going to lead you in love all day. And if you, I'll tell you the way you know that you've not been doing the law because it's written on your heart. Because any time that you break His law of love, you won't have peace. And that fellowship and love relationship with the Lord is so sweet when we get away from it very long. Man, I'm telling you what, when we start walking and get around the wrong conversation, bang, all of a sudden that fear will come over us. The fear of God, hey, I've got to shut my mouth. I've got to get away from this. This isn't worth it no more. I don't walk there no more. Right? And so you back off from that thing right there. And if you get a little on you there and you kind of forget and get a little on you and everything, then you better get somewhere and you do some praying for it. I had my wife just pray for me about three times this week to help me get some stuff there. And I got involved and I had some things to slip up on me and some conversation. And, boy, I liked that peace. And I just prayed until I got back in that peace. Now, peace don't keep that fire from coming when the Lord wants to get something else, you know, kind of moved by me. But I'm going to tell you what, it's, boy, it's something to stay in that peace. And you have confidence in your heart. Your conscience is not defiled. Get you some church jobs and all this kind of thing. Brother, you're serving and loving. And the grace of God gives you something. You know what you want to do? You want to go give it to someone else. That's a good signage from God. Isn't that right? Now, brother, if that's not grace, then I don't understand what grace is. The grace of God is not a canopy for us to go and practice sin. Because we already see over and over and over here, if you practice sin, you are not adonis. The Word can't wash you and you're not going to be changed. And this is what we've been taught through our religious tradition. It's not really loving one another. And you know something that really hurts me? I'll tell you what, it hurts me probably more than anything else is to, is pastors. Pastors have congregations who are not cleansed of being walking in the fear of God. And that pastor can love God and just mean all the good he wants to, but he'll be killed by their words. And his family, too. There's a hell that's been on pastors like nobody realizes. It's the most hopeless thing that ever, ever happened is to try to take this Bible with all the curses and the works of darkness when you don't understand them, and try to pastor a bunch of devils. Well, I'm going to tell you something, folks. We're in a time right now, and we're beginning to understand how these powers of darkness are about these laws of God. And I'm going to tell you something, we're all going to start being accountable. Let me talk to you again. We're going to start being accountable. I'm going to tell you a man of God is going to come up to you, some little sister or something like that is going to come up to you, and God has spoken to me to tell you. See, we have to be accountable to the authority of God. And God has told me to speak this to you. And it's speaking about something that's in your life, something that you're doing. And then you think, well, you know always before, well, who is she? Who is he? Who is he? And this accountability of day is here right now. God has led us by some things. He's calling out a people right now that's going to love Him with all their heart. They're not going to be a people with spiritual pride. They're not going to be elite people who judge and condemn and damn everything else around them. They're going to be a people that's perfected in love. They're going to be persecuted, and they're not going to understand because they're not going to talk like the whore harlot or like the world. That's going to be one of the most blessed things that's ever happened on this earth. This temple of God is being built in a time of distress. And this gospel is going to be teaching, and the end is going to come, and the end is going to come in tribulation while those are waiting. Jesus never comes the way religious folks thought He was going to come. While they're waiting for rapture, I'm going to show you how distressed first that the terrorists and those that practice lawlessness are going to be bundled up in bundles. They're going to be burnt with fire. And I'll go all the way to Revelation and show you that. It's always real company. The devil always wants to give us something. Always the thing that we never have to deal with what's in the Bible. There's always a way out. The devil always gives us a way out. And I don't like to get into controversial things, or, you know, when babies go, say, this baby goes to heaven, that baby don't go to heaven, and all that stuff. Don't get into these controversial things. We've got enough just trying to deal with what truth we can find here in the Bible without starting controversies and getting people in condemnation and that sort of thing. Now, since we understand Galatians now, I want, well, see, I just, you know, while I'm over there, well, I'll come back over there later. But look there in verse 20. We're back in 2 Corinthians 12. We took a little side trip right here. Messed up my notes. Verse 20. Now, they were practicing strife and jealousy. Paul said, I couldn't talk to you as a mature man. I've got some meat for you. I've got the wisdom of God, and I can't share it for you. And, of course, we know in 1 Peter 2 that milk starts out. You have to start with milk that you might grow in relationship to salvation. Verse 20. Now, we're in 2 Corinthians 12, verse 20. I'm afraid. Paul says, I fear for you that perhaps when I come, I may find you to be not what I wish, and may be found for you to be not what you wish, that perhaps there may still be this strife and jealousy. I'm coming a third time, he says, back in verse 14. That strife and jealousy and these angry tempered disputes, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbance, anywhere, look at it right here. Right here it is. It's going to still be there. In other words, you're not growing in respect to salvation. Verse 21. I'm afraid. I fear for you. That's the same thing he told the Galatians, the same thing he said to the Thessalonians. I'm afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me for you, and I'm going to cry my eyes, and I'm going to mourn over many of you who have sinned in the past, and you've what? You've not repented, and this is what we saw over there, that to practice these things, you're not going to inherit the kingdom of heaven. Did we see impurity, immorality, sensuality, which they practiced? I can't hear you. Well, let's see if it's there. Galatians 5, 19. Now, if it's there, let's act like it's not there. No, let's don't act like it's not there. Now, these deeds of the flesh are evident, which are immorality, impurity, sensuality. Is that what we saw? I can't hear you. Now, you see why Paul feared for them? Because those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God, in verse 21. Amen? I can't hear you. Now, look at me right here. Let me roll up my doctrine. Now, here's my doctrine right here. Well, I don't see that in there. That's not in there. But it's there. That's the reason Paul was fearing for them, because we're telling you that salvation is the sanctification and bearing the fruit of righteousness and being perfected in love. It's there. Because he says in verse 21, and he goes on to submit some other things, which I forewarn you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. He said, well, I just don't believe I want to receive that because I think kingdom of God is something else. Well, you just want to split hairs? Let me give you one over in Ephesians 5, verse 5. He said, For this you can know with certainty that no immoral, impure person, covetous man who is an adulterer, has an inheritance of the kingdom of Christ, do not be deceived, because neither son to disobedience nor wrath of God is coming on him. That's why Paul fears for them. Listen, folks. Any of these works right here, the powers of darkness attach themselves to, and they are the Canaanite nations. They are on the land right now. Are you hearing what I'm saying? They are on the land. And the only way you can get them on the land, off the land, is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, take the weapons over in Ephesians 6, which is righteousness and preparation of God. For all the weapons right there, and the main one is faith, because, and then you go, and we know in 2 Corinthians 10, 3 through 5, we no longer war after flesh, although we walk in a flesh, we no longer war of anger, unforgiveness, resentment, but our weapons are mighty in God that we got in Ephesians 6 to turn down these strongholds and these casting-down imaginations and all these fortunes and strongholds of the powers of darkness. We turn them down. They start coming off of us. Amen? Why are they there to begin with? Because we've had other roots in here. We've had the root of pride. We've had the root of greed. Give me the root of pride up there. And these roots, see, the only root that is supposed to be in your heart is the Lord Jesus Christ. Root is motivation. What motivates you? If I have pride, when I read the Bible right here, I'm going to help God out while I fulfill pride in this Ephesian mission. Do you hear what I'm saying? If I still have a root of greed, I'm going to preach the Bible, and I'll help God out while I fulfill greed in my life because my heart goes after treasure in the world. Do you hear what I'm saying? So then people are teaching the Word of God with these roots in their life, and so then we have these kind of roots in our life because they're motivation. We've been taught a form of godliness instead of doctrines that conform you to God. Now, won't you listen? It's 1 Timothy 6, 3 through 5. If anyone advocates, preaches, or teaches a doctrine that does not agree with the sound words of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the gospel, the doctrine or gospel conforming you to godliness, they are without understanding. And it goes on, the verse says, they're deprived of the truth because they have a morbid interest in controversial questions out of which arrive envy and strife and jealousy. What are these controversial questions? Bang! I've just got a partial truth in this doctrine, and now I've got Christians can't have demons. Bang! I don't have to deal with that part of my... You folks don't have to deal with what that enemy that comes to kill, steal, and destroy you. Just sit there in ignorance over it while you get devoured. Jesus is coming for a bride that's holy and blameless. Bang! We just... He believes in sinless perfection. Let's kill him. Then if we don't deal... If you know it with awe, and they all die, then somebody comes along... You know, God's quit doing that. Let's just take that out of that doctrine right there. Because... You know why they died? Because the next verse says, it's an effective prayer of righteous men as well as much. That's the reason their own people were praying for them. They were unrighteous, and so they took it out of the Bible and said, that doesn't work, see? And so, bang! And so, congregations once again learn all the controversial questions, but they never know nothing about the Bible. They learn to reject truth without examining it, and learn to hate those people they don't even know. All for the sake of the image of the beast here, which conforms them to the nature and character of Satan, which tells them, they can walk after these things right here. They can have other roots in your heart. When the law of God says, you're going to love the Lord with all your heart and your nature is yourself. Jesus said, this is my commandment, you're going to love one another just as I've loved you. Those two commandments are in total agreement with one another. And when you fulfill the commandment of Jesus, that's how you're led to be a doer of God's law through Christ. It's just a simple love affair. It's all the Bible is telling us about. It's a love affair with the Father and a love affair with the Son. That's all. It's simplicity and purity, a devotion to Christ. And then when we have these other roots, can you hear pride come out of somebody's mouth? Sure you can hear pride. See, it's just a root. See, so then a person picks up the Bible, here we've got the root of pride right there, and then we have right here, we've got self-interest, arrogance, man-pleasure, boasting, want attention, selfish ambition, jealousy, self-righteousness, ego. Pride always wants to control crowds and congregations. Self-glory, superiority, unloving, haughtiness, presumption. Let me ask you something. Making a name for yourself. Tell me something, folks. There's just one root. Tell me exactly. Is that man who's seeking all this selfish ambition going to read you all the truth out of this Word of God? Let me tell you something. He definitely will not give you all the truth out of the Word because the demons will work him. Because when he gets to a place right there that's going to come against nickels, noses, and numbers right there, the powers of darkness will begin. He'll be looking over here, and the powers of darkness will begin putting in his mind that church boss over there. He's going to lose his time, but they've already got him in so much financial bondage, you know, that then you have to compromise everything in the Word of God. But to intimidate him with people, it's going to attack him, you see. Now, preacher, preacher, I know these people. See, he just got there. He just got run off from the other place he was because, see, the powers of darkness keep preachers moving. They don't stay in one place except three years on average. And he goes there, he takes his family there, and if Cheryl and Saul, him, live about half better, they see their dad and their mom abused and these sort of things, and the powers of darkness talking to them. And, hey, I'm going to get my family out of this and go over there. Now, this next place is going to be right. I'm not happy about some of the things I'm doing. Boy, I'm going to really please the Lord in this place. And he runs in the same group of devils. Preacher, I know these people. Here he was. You're talking to a big old demon right now. He said, they're not going to listen to that. He said, if you keep teaching things like that, they won't receive it. We'll have to get another leaver because we're going back to Egypt. You're going the wrong direction. A little old pastor, you know, when I was a little old boy, there's a place back in Tennessee where I live, East Tennessee, and I had a place called Carson-Eamon College. It's a Baptist college. And in that little old town, I would go. The preachers, when they'd come there, they'd usually stay at our house. And I just thought, how different and how sweet they are. And boy, sometimes I'd have a little walk with them. And I was just a real little tender-hearted little boy. And invariably, I got where I watched when a little boy. And I watched a little love affair there for two or three Sundays, and then I just watched him get chewed up and spit out. I remember a little old pastor where those deacons, I was a young boy, just as sweet as he could be, and they wanted to take this pastor down in the basement and fight him. Man, that's something for a kid to see. Then later on, when I was in drugs and alcohol and hell and everything else, that's the only thing I could look back on. I couldn't see Jesus helping me because I already saw that bunch. Now I'm going to tell you what this Word is going to separate. And there are going to be preachers that preach in this Word that the Lord is showing us today. And brother, you either jump in or you jump out. You can run people off the stick of dynamite, but when they hear this, their heart's not right, they're going to run like a field rat. And it's a day of accountability, and you can't hide no more behind a seat. And you're going to watch the ones who love Christ come forward and those who are in there just to be sitting in some religious setting and have no relationship with the Lord, they're no real interest in Him, they're not going to be able to stand it. God will run them off. Let them go! Who wants someone to stay around and curse the whole bunch? Who wants a little leaven to spread through the whole loaf when we're headed to this place right here? Amen? Let them go! Are you going to build Michelangelo's numbers or let Jesus build His church? Who are you to decide who loves the Lord with all their hearts? I tell you, the only way you can tell is teach the Word. I've had them leave 50, 100, and more at a time. Jump in or jump out. Let Him refuse, refuse, and let Him receive, because I used to just break my heart and everything, and I dropped that false responsibility and false burden, and boy, it does break me. It still breaks my heart. But I can't help it. I'm going to say what's in this Bible, and I'll tell you what my problem is is the people that hear what I'm saying, and if they go and tell everybody else what's wrong with what I'm saying, why don't somebody come in their Bible and show me what I'm sharing wrong? You see what I mean? I'd like some of that, and such rumors and hell and everything is spread around. But see, this is all right, because what do you expect if you are teaching righteousness and holiness? And so that's okay. That's all right, because it's not up to you and me. It's up to God. And let's just make sure you and I are at the place where God wants us. We're going to share what He wants us. And I want to see, you know what I want to see? I want to see this little old body of Christ just loving one another. I want to see us love one another. I'm like old Paul, boy. I want to see people increase in love. I want to see people excited. I want to see them talking about Jesus, not about our nickels, noses, and numbers, or fleshly achievements. I want to see pastors with their little old families and their little old children not beat to death sitting in the church service and wish they were somewhere else. And they're sitting there, and they're just sitting there learning to hate because they see their families abused all the time. Word curses all over the congregation right there going on with their families. See, pastors don't know how these word curses are getting on them, their families and on their children. I feel so sorry for them. I can't understand it. And boy, I'll tell you what, all of us have got some things to learn. And I'm going to tell you what, we're all going to overcome it through love. And you let that Word decide who is and who ain't. It'll decide. The Word will separate. But I'll tell you what, it can't separate if we can't get to share it, can it? So Paul said, and you're in the 2nd Corinthians, boy, we've been there a long time, haven't we? 2 Corinthians 12, verse 21, I'm afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me for you, and I may mourn over many of you, those who have sinned in the past, and what? Not repentant of immorality, impurity, sensuality, which He practiced. Now look in chapter 13, verse 1. This is the third time I'm coming to you. Now, Paul is confirming this. Now, the Bible didn't end in 1 Corinthians 3, did it? Now, verse 2, I have previously said, when present the second time, and though now absent, I say in advance to those who have sinned in the past, that were walking in that sense, that strife and jealousy we saw back in 1 Corinthians 3, and to all the rest as well, that if I come again, I'm not going to spare anyone. I'm going to tell you what the truth says, because my motivation as God is not to get the approval of folks. You can't distort the Word of God and perfect people in love. And He says to them in verse 5, He said, I'll tell you what I wish you folks would do. I wish you'd test yourself to see if you're in the faith. I wish you'd examine yourself, or do you recognize this about yourself, that Christ Jesus is in you, unless indeed you fail the test. Now, let me go back and ask you something right now. Look at me right here. Did Paul tell them in Galatians 2, he said, you started out in the spirit, now you're at the flesh. You're walking out of the flesh. He said, you who are seeking to be justified in Christ, is Christ the ministry of this sin that you're walking in? Did he say that? May it never be. And so I'll say this to the harlot whore church that blesses God and curses their neighbor today, who is an adulteress. Is Christ the ministry of this sin and junk that we see is called the church of Jesus Christ? Let me ask you this. Is Christ the ministry of the sin in your life and my life? Then he said right there, he told the Corinthians, he said, I wish you'd examine yourself to see in the face, if you're being justified in Christ, is Christ the minister of that sin that's in your life? Is that what he says? See, if Jesus Christ is Lord, he said, if you walk by the spirit, you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. And see, we've been asleep. We just let these doctrines that we've been sitting under since you were four years old. Look here. I mean, really, I know some people that just love God. I want to tell you something, boy. There are some precious people in the Methodist denomination that love God. There are some precious pastors in there that love God. Do you believe that? There are some precious, precious pastors in the Baptist denomination that love God. There are some precious, precious people by the thousands and thousands in the Baptist denomination that love God. There are some precious people in the Presbyterian denomination that love God. There's a church in there, but they'll never know the truth unless you walk in love and me. They'll never hear it, never see it. I despise them. I'm going to tell you something. I hate their doctrines. I despise them. But I'm going to tell you what. I choose to love those people. And I'll let the Lord decide which one's going to come. As long as the man has sit down to me, I'm telling you what, I don't have to compromise, but I don't have to condemn him with the Word of God either. I don't have to eat him up and chew him up because of the grace of God. God has showed me something. I have to move into spiritual pride and pride that I have to beat his head off and I have to beat something. I've got to have one ditch and jump in the other. I'm learning something about a thing called love. And I'm going to tell you something. When we walk in it, we're prepared for all good works that contemplate it too. And then we prepare for those good works than greater works as he's done that you can do because your motivation is all the Lord. It's not to build anything for ourselves. What do we need anything for? I need God. I don't see Jesus. I don't see Jesus. I don't see you. I don't see you happy and full of joy and peace and love. And that's what the Lord put him. I don't see Jesus Christ build his church, not some computer or some men that's not repentant of selfish ambitions. I don't see people love one another. I'm sick and tired of these old demonic games when two people come together or three people that's supposed to know the Lord and we get into all this suspicion and distrust and everything when we immediately just put things right on the table. If we have any problem, let's get it out there. Let's talk about it. Why not? If your motivation is all the Lord, why don't you just put it out there and let's get it all over? And then when you get it out there and get it on the table, the demons, all the demons, and all the stuff is gone, the tension's gone, and the stuff is gone, then we can deal with one another in love. There's no tension in there or nothing. Now, when our motivation is the Lord, then I want you to tell you the Word of God is separate. Those are motivations. Now, Pastor, I want to tell you something. Buddy, I want to tell you something, Pastor. And I want to say it with all my heart. If I ever knew one thing, dear Pastor, I'm going to tell you one. You might have a bunch of nice folks that you're pastoring, but until you start teaching this part of the Word right there, you're going to have hell on you and your family and there's no way you can get away from you. It's just going to be discouragement. And it'll chew you up and spit you out. And you've been programmed to hang in there and keep a stiff upper lip. And little old children and family hurt. I'm telling you, the devil is mean, and everybody that walks out of nature, out of the flesh, is walking in the nature and character of Satan. Now, what are the folks like that going to do about the thing of God? Speak that Word and let it separate. And one's in love, let's have a fit and love one another. Amen? We go on, and the Lord can use us to touch other people's lives, and we'll boast on the cross, won't we? See people's lives change. And this is exactly, I think at this moment right now that the Lord has been giving us knowledge, He's been giving us things. There's a lot of people back there that years ago, we began dealing with some traditions and things, and I think I've got some truth that some of the people that I used to be walking with a lot and things like that, I know that I don't think they know about that would happen. I don't know what all they've learned, but I know that I have been an example of meanness, because I didn't know how to handle what I had, and I've caused others to be that way too. And I swear I'm sorry, and I know the Lord's forgiven me. And I know that since I know the truth, I'll make up for it. And I'll speak the truth. If I ever do know it, I'll say it, I guarantee I'll say it. And I want with all my heart to walk, and I want to be in love, I want to love God, I want to love God, I want to love people, I want to see people help. I've seen so many hurting people, I've hurt so much myself, and I've found the way to peace. And I'm going to tell you something, when you get the grace of God to find any peace, well, if you come from God, you want other people to have it, and that's exactly what I want. And the ministries as such is built around men to build up their reputation and things like that. I'm looking for a place to go right now. I just want you all to know so you'll know what my motives are, because all I need is God. I don't have, you know, and right now we're just, we're cutting back on things, and just so you know from the one that's standing up here, we definitely are, and it doesn't flat matter to me nothing I have, nothing I'm doing, or anything I've got. It just, I'm going to tell you, before God Almighty, it doesn't let me matter. And I'll tell you what, the only thing, I just don't know what to do yet with some of the things that I'm involved in. It just don't matter. It doesn't matter whether I'm sharing with one or 100,000, it just don't matter, because it's all God. Folks already try to make it work and I give up. I already, already had my cart days, and all the way it works is on holy and sanctified shoulders. You have to carry the ark on, and it's passing through, and it's going away you've never been before, and that's what we've tried to do is carry this ark on the, we had to carry this gospel, you know, the ark had the commandments, the bread, and the word, the authority, the rod, and we tried to carry this ark and put it on, we get a, you know, a hand, a thimble full of truth, and then we're going to just go, we know other people haven't got this truth, we put it on a cart, and then gather around it, and you can build any kind of, just take partial truths out of the Bible and build anything you want to, but I'm going to tell you this Bible builds the divine nature in it. Amen? Well, one last thing, I want you to turn to Luke 10. Now in Luke 10, now look this thing, eternal life, now I'm going to tell you something, if I've said some things here that's kind of just, kind of seems off the wall about eternal life, you just stick around now, and we're really going to get into some things, I'm going to tell you what, we're going to get into some things about salvation. Amen? And about the walk, about the fire. But we need to establish a few things right here. In Luke 10, verse 25, And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and put him to the test, and said, Jesus, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Is that what we're looking for? And he said to him, What is written in the law? How does it read you? And he answered and said, See, if the law didn't have anything to do with eternal life, why did Jesus say it? And then in verse 20, it was in Jesus, and he answered and said to Jesus, Here's what he said, You're going to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength, mind, and your neighbor Joseph. And Jesus, well, he said, Now, buddy, you're on the right track, verse 20. And he said to him, You have answered what? Correctly. What's those two words say? Do this. Do this, and you'll what? Is that what we've been saying over and over? Folks, how is it possible for you to love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor Joseph? Do you understand what the commandments of God's law? Look at me right here. Everybody look at me. Do you know what commandments of God's law is saying? Do not have any other idols, any other roots. Don't have any other gods. All right, what is the commandments of God's law in saying? Love the Lord with all your heart. That's really what the law is saying. Love the Lord with all your heart. Don't make something out of it mean. It's good. It's love. That thing taught us that law and love are enemies, and so we can't keep the law. So wretched men that we are, how are we going to have eternal life? Thank God, through Jesus Christ. Because if we continue to walk off the flesh, we're going to die. And the curse is right there. The powers of darkness, so we can't attach themselves to it. All these sins right here, and they build a fortress and stronghold, diseases come in until it destroys. You with me right now? But Jesus Christ came in the Word and the Spirit to wash us and perfect us. And so when we love Jesus Christ with all of our heart, we'll love, then it's no problem to get rid of sins. Is that right? Now the problem is, is to go to a former godless and never learn to really love the Lord. Because if you don't draw near to him, if you've got a false assurance, you're not going to draw near to him. You're going to be at ease in sin. Everybody see what I'm saying? But then when you know what the truth is, you'll have the fear of God. Amen? That's good! Who you fear is who you want to please. Let me say that again. Who you fear is who you want the approval of. And then, when you know what the truth is, you're flat going to draw near to the Lord. And he's going to draw near to you. You're going to cleanse your hands, your centers, and purify your hearts. You're double-minded blessing God and cursing your neighbor. That's double-mindedness. Trying to walk out of the flesh and the Spirit. Jesus said, Galatians 5, 16, You can walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of flesh. We see in Romans 8, verse 4, that the law is fulfilled in us who no longer walk out of the flesh, but out of the Spirit. Now, folks, once again, let me tell you something. I want to warn you right now. This has been impossible scripture when we look at the Bible through these doctrines. But when you knew the truth coming in, the Lord, what this truth really is, I'm going to tell you what that is the only place where peace and rest is to receive this part of the Word. It's a rest and peace and it's all grace. All you do is love God and have a relationship with Him and because you love Him with all your heart, then the Spirit and the Word can lead you to get rid of all of these things. The goal of the instruction is love from a pure heart simply because of the fact there's no more idolatry in your heart. You love Him with all your heart. And it's only when you love pride and greed more than you do the Lord that the Word can't worse you. But when you love the Lord with all your heart, then you're going to count it all joy when the fire comes because the fire is going to come one of these days. And the fire is what causes you to be the nature of gold, your silver that comes through the fire. You're going to be gold and silver, gold is the divine nature. The ones who would hay and stubble that walk in religion and walk as adulterers, bless God and curse their neighbor, will never get rid of these works and they're going to be burned up in the fire. The powers of darkness is the fire. They're instruments of God's indignation. God's indignant because He's jealous over your heart. He wants all of your heart. And when you want to have things you love more than Him, you become an adulteress. These things are in your heart. We haven't got the room right there, but that's the inner man. That's the fruit of what's in your heart. And a man that loves the selfish nature of Satan and never laid down his life, he welcomes these powers of darkness that come and fill his mind full of envy, worry, fear, greed, because he has never, never really repented in his heart. And he walks in the world and he's walking in death. So arise, my dead, and do not be foolish. Don't be like the foolish version, unwise, but be like the wise. Now, the wise are going to hear the trumpet blowing. Let me just show you one other thing here. Matthew 7. I'll tell you what's the truth. I'm going to tell you something, folks. I am so thrilled in my heart when I look around and see some people right here, and I'm seeing some pastors, and boy, I'm seeing some pastors that just have, boy, it's just hurt and gone through some things. And I know, boy, they're going to get some answers here this week. And I see people just loving God. I'm telling you, I don't know what else happened. You've got doing something to me. And I'm going to tell you something. I know just enough to know that I don't know what I want to know. I want to just tell you that right now. But I'm going to tell you something. Like I tell you, there's something jumping up inside of me. And it's caused me wanting to love and help people and not condemn them and judge them and slander and gossip and all that stuff about them. There's something happening to me. It just doesn't matter if people persecute me or say some things about me and everything. There's something happening to me that I just laid down all that false response and false burden and I had to make it work. I've been in a rock wall one after another for months and months and months. I just praise God that loves and wants to go and overcome it. And I know that the Lord is perfecting me in love. And I know he is you too. And I'm going to tell you something, folks. It's going to happen quick now. And we can be able to help each other and boy, I'm telling you what, it's going to be something instead of biting and devouring each other for a change. And then instead of going out here now when I'm talking about Baptists and I'm talking about Methodists and all these kind of things like that, boy, I'm going to tell you something. I'm not talking about the people. You understand that? But I can't teach this word of God here and act like what they're doing that that doctrine's right. I want to tell you it's a lie. Do you hear what I'm saying? But I'll tell you what, I love those people and I'll sit down and if anybody ever take their Bible and show me where I'm wrong, I want to see it in a balancing context of words and I'd like to love them and have the same opportunities. Anything wrong with that? Paul said, I'll be all things to all people. I'll win some and I'll lose some. I'll do all things for the sake of the gospel and when we love the Lord with all our heart, all our motivation becomes the gospel. We lay down all this selfish ambition gathering people around us that we have to be anything, I'd get you killed. We don't need no following. What we need to do is all join our shoulder together and learn how to be the least instead of first. Because the little old hurting people come in and they see all this, you know, the kings and so forth and like that where they always fit in and I used to go and work in the bus ministry and stuff like that and I'd see them, you know, I'd see them go back to the bar around me and I had better fellowship there and I knew they did because that's where I spent most of my life. Matthew 7. Now, here's another one of those verses when we read it, don't act like it's not in there. Now, verse 18. A good tree produces what? A good tree cannot produce bad fruit. Now let me tell you something. A good tree of the Lord Jesus Christ cannot, that walks in holiness is not going to produce this fruit right here. Amen? Neither can a bad tree produce holiness. Amen? This can only happen through being perfected through the gospel and the Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the reason when we see the law we have to go follow it to feed the Lord Jesus Christ because there's no hope for us at all. Amen? Let me say that again. There is no hope for nothing, one stinking thing that you can boast in. There's no hope for you except through the total grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. You're wretched and you're dead because your spirit is alive to Satan and it's dead to God. And it's Jesus Christ that comes to the Word and the Spirit that perfects you in spirit and you become part of Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God, the church of the firstborn. It's the spirits of righteous men who have been made what? Perfect. Matthew 5, 48 says, it is written you'll be perfect because I'm perfect. Just like 1 Peter 1 says that, chapter 1, it says that 14th chapter said that you shall be holy because he is holy. Now here we go. Verse 19. Every tree that does not bear good fruit, the fruit of holiness and love, is going to bear the fruit of the flesh and is going to be cut down and thrown into the fire. Amen? So we're told right there in order to go to heaven, verse 13, enter by the narrow gate for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to what? Circle of destruction about three times because that's where man is going to die most people are going to go. Many are going to what? Enter by that. Listen to me, folks. It's a narrow way and a small gate into heaven and then doctrines that do not conform you to godliness make it wide and it leads to destruction because they tell you that you can practice the deeds and works and character of Satan instead of laying down your life so you can be perfected in the nature and character of God and bear the fruit of righteousness. And that's how many are going to be go this broad way to destruction. Verse 14, for the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life and how many are going to find that want to walk in this holiness, folks? Only a few will walk in this holiness. So you better beware of who? The false pastors, prophets, teachers who are going to come to you in sheep's clothing and are going to inwardly in their hearts and ravenous wolf they never have repented in terms of nature and character of Satan they are trying to build them a kingdom. Selfish ambition. You are going to know them by their what? By their faith. You are going to know them by their faith. the kingdom of heaven. Well, dog, does that still sound like salvation? The will of the Father is the love of the Lord with all your heart and your name is yourself. That's the reason Jesus said, This is my commandment. Lay down your life and love one another as I have loved you. Not everyone who comes to me and says, Lord, Lord, is going to enter the kingdom of heaven. But he who has done the will of the Father but many are going to come to me in that day and say, Lord, we cast out demons and did miracles and we prophesied all these gifts and everything. And the Lord will say to them, And then I will declare to them, I never did know you the part of me you who always continued. Right here it is. Look at me. You continued to practice lawless. You wasn't led by the spirit of God. You was walking in the form of godliness. And I never did know you. Well, what about all those miracles? If I didn't know you, I didn't perform them. The powers of darkness cooperate with people who teach messages that do not conform you to godliness so you'll follow their message and follow their ministry. Only the very elect, only the very elect are not going to be deceived by this. So men build reputations and you get to see manifestations. And 2 Thessalonians 2 says, Because you love the signs and wonders, he said, I'm going to let a deluding influence come over you and I'm going to let you believe what is false. That deluding influence is religious demons because you never had a love for the truth. You never had a love for the truth because you never had a true love for God. And a person that doesn't have a love of the truth cannot be saved. Let me say it again. A person that does not love a truth cannot be sanctified. If you don't love a truth, you're walking in a lie and you've got another Jesus. And the law of this is the opposite of righteousness. And I'm not going to take the time but over in Matthew 24 we might start there when we come back. That's where Jesus is going to find himself in the church in the last days. They're going to fall away from the faith. And a congregation's love is going to wax cold because of these false prophets who are going to teach doctrines that do not conform to God and say they're going to be walking in lust. You know why they're walking in lust? You know why the congregation's love is going to be wax cold? Because this is where the congregation is going to be walking in selfishness and self-centeredness. They're not being purified, not being cleansed. They're walking in that lust right there. And their love is wax cold. They don't love the people down the street much less one another. But dear Lord, we'll go to meetings all over the land even when we have to go wherever we have to go, Korea or wherever we have to go. We're going to find something to prop this thing up and make it work even if there's over 400 of them in this country. There's only one God, the gospel. You'll be a doers of God's law through Christ. And the people that walk there, you're going to know them because you're going to love one another. That's the body of Christ. And you'll know the ones who walk in error. You let the Lord decide on them because the ones who, you know, the spirit of truth and the spirit of error because they won't stay because their hearts do not love God. Their hearts love idolatry and other things more than God. Now I want to share something with you folks. Don't make anything complicated out of this. This is the simplicity and the purity of devotion to Christ. When you make something complicated out of this word, then you've got to go bow before intellect. You've got to go bow before academics. You've got to go bow before man whose breath is in his nostril so you can find out what God is saying. And I'm telling you, you only have to bow to God. And the most man can do is let Jesus Christ speak through him. And the most that any man can have is one part of his heart. And he's not to be made king because God's work is through him, as they wanted to do Jesus. And I want to remind you of one other thing. When Solomon, when God put the wisdom of God under Solomon and God got his hand and he got his, and when Solomon had all the wisdom of God there, the kings of the earth, they wanted to come and see that knowledge. And when God begins working through you honey, they'll show up for you too. And they ain't with you. Just teach them the word and you'll soon find out. If you teach all of it, it'll separate them. Because this exposes everybody that's not a God. You can't build your own thing. You can't take part of the word of God and fulfill selfish ambition. God is leading us today. It's all over. You can't have your citizenship and help and then build your treasures here on earth anymore. The only thing you can do on the earth is manifest the love of Jesus and God said you're not going to have to worry about what you're going to wear or eat or anything else. That's what the world worries about. If you're going to have your mind set on heaven, you're going to have a hedge in peace and $14 billion wouldn't buy that for you. All the glory and honor that's through the Lord Jesus Christ. There's nothing on this earth unless you want to save your life and if you want to Jesus said whoever wishes to come out to me let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me because whoever wants to save his life, if you want to save his flesh and life you're going to continue to love it, you're going to lose it. But whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel, that's the one that's going to save it. For what is it going to profit you if you have all these treasures on earth? You're going to get over in these forties and fifties and for a little short period of time along you're going to be better, things are going great for you, and you're laying up at the hospital and you've got a tumor in the side of your head, how much are you going to take with you? I've watched people like that and I couldn't even talk to them about the word of God. They can't hear because they found their portion here on earth. So what you're going to accomplish, you gain the whole world and you're going to lose your soul. Or rather, what are you going to give in exchange for your soul? First Corinthians 13 says, if you don't have this love, you can speak of angels, you can have faith to move mountains, you can give all your possessions to the poor, you can give up your body to be burned, isn't that real noble? But if you don't have this love, it's going to profit you nothing. That's a great falling away today. All the big shucks it's all over with. There's no more personalities. Nobody looking to men. They love men because they love the Jesus that they let manifest through them. They don't honor people. And the Lord is going to remove in this day of the Lord which we're going to look at, every high and lifted thing is going to be in the process of being removed because those who have been restrained, the sons and daughters, the destruction that entered the world being God in people's lives, are no longer going to be restrained. And this thing that's called tribulation is a flood of destruction which will separate the wheat from the tares. And if you're standing on a foundation that stands, a doctrine that does not conform you to godliness, that's your foundation. The powers of darkness will just come and lead you into all kinds of lawlessness as they just come and just fill your body with the fortresses and strongholds and you'll be swept away by this flood and you'll not understand until the flood is taken away. A lot of people call that rapture. You go the wrong direction. That's the man that hears the word of God and he doesn't act upon it. His foundation is sin. Then here is the man who is the wise virgin. See, that was a foolish virgin that I told you about. The wise virgin today is here in the trumpet. He's here in the word and he's moving off the foundation of sin. And he's standing right here on this word. And when you stand on this word, you have the weapons of Ephesians 6. You're loving the Lord with all your heart. You're not interested in anger, unforgiveness, selfishness, and self-centeredness. Anymore, it's a bunch of junk. Because all your motivation is changed because you've got one big root in your heart and his name is God. It's the only thing. Everything else is futility. Nothing's going to work. We can't make it work. We can't tie it together. The only thing we can do is live a lifestyle of pleasing God. This concludes tape number three.
