Listening to a part of this series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of the series. Rule and reign in life, through the gifts of righteousness and the grace of God, through the Lord Jesus Christ. We're more than conquerors. We take dominion. We rule and reign in the name of Jesus. God is our Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is our Lord, and we are products of His love. We have love. We have joy. We have peace. We have long-suffering, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temptation, and faith. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. And we're strengthened in all power, by the might of the Lord. We are new creations. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. As Jesus Christ lives in the world, so are we. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon us. The Lord's anointed us to bring good news to the afflicted. He sent us to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive, and freedom to the prisoners, to proclaim the fable year of our Lord, the day of vengeance to our God, and comfort those who mourn. We'll be called priests of the Lord. We'll be spoken of as ministers of God, because we're the offspring the Lord has blessed. He's clothed us with garments of salvation. He's wrapped us with a rose for righteousness, like a bridegroom who decks himself with a garland, and a bride who adorns herself with her jewels. He keeps us from stumbling. He makes us stand in the glory of his presence, holy, blameless, beyond reproach, with great joy. The only wise God is our Savior. Through his Jesus Christ, our Lord, in him be glory, and majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time, now and forever. Glory be to God forevermore. Amen. Praise Jesus. Many, O Lord, my God, are the wonders that thou hast done, and thy thoughts are toward us right now. There's none to compare to thee. Our ears have opened up, and then have said, Behold, Lord, I come to thee in the scroll of this book. It is written to me, I delight to thy will, O my God, because thy law is written upon my heart. Many, O Lord, my God, are the wonders that you just keep doing. Well, I proclaim thy truth to the great congregation. Behold, I've not restrained my lips. I've spoken of thy faithfulness and thy salvation. Now, let those who speak the Lord rejoice and be glad in it. And let those who really love the Lord, come in and be praised. Let the Lord be praised. For thou art our hope, and you are our salvation. So we bite the good bite of faith. We lay hold to eternal life, of which we're called, and we make good confession. Praise God before many witnesses. There's a lot of things about, said about salvation today. Many people are saying many things. Somebody is wrong. Somebody is wrong. Now, what we're going to be talking about is what the will of God is. Do you believe the will of God is salvation? Do you believe the will of God is eternal life? Well, what we're going to share about is the will of God. We're going to share that sanctification. Sanctification, you're sanctified in Jesus, and the sanctification is a walk. It's both, because if you're in Jesus, you're led by the Spirit of God, and you're not under the law. But there's a difference. That's how you qualify, and that's how you know that you're no longer under the law, because you're led by the Spirit of God. If you're led by the Spirit of God, He'll lead you to swift to death, and eat the flesh, and that's with the Son of God, or led by the Spirit of God. Right? And that's how sanctification, that's purification, that's how we're reconciled to God. We endure to the end, we overcome. Amen? That's how you have a divine nature, and a divine nature is the way of eternal life. That's how we become a new creation. Old things have passed away, all things have become new. That's how if you follow after the Lord Jesus Christ, you deny yourself, and take up your cross, and follow Him. And so, I want you to turn to Matthew 7, and I'm going to read about three scriptures while you're turning right there. And I want you to know, that the Lord says something about us being holy, and I don't think it was an option. As a matter of fact, He said, if you're going to be led by the Spirit of God, you're going to be an obedient child, and you'll not be conformed to the form of lust, which used to be yours in your ignorance and darkness. But like the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy One, you're going to be holy in all, all, all, all your behavior. Now, you can't be holy in all your behavior if you're practicing sin. You can't be blameless if you're practicing sin, and you're not being righteous if you practice sin. And anyone that says that you can do these things and be blameless and holy, or counts in rebellion to God. Because it's written, you shall be holy, because I am holy. Now, we have been seeing this week about the destruction of the last day, that there's going to be a falling away, and the papal followers that fall away are going to be destroyed. We're going to have a lot more to say about falling away. Why don't you, what do you fall away from? Well, I'll tell you what, you fall away from faith, you become, you fall away from the faith and call something Christian. If it's not Christian, you start calling something church, it's not church, and that's the way to hell. That's where you're led to. As a matter of fact, we're told in the last days, there's going to be adoptions of demons that cause the falling away. Is that right? Of course, we don't hear much about that, because people who've fallen away don't know they've fallen away. Deceived people don't know they're deceived. Now, I'm going to read something to you out of 2 Peter 3. Verse 3, know this, first of all, that in the last days, there are going to be mockers coming, stoppers and mockers. They'll come with a mocker, and they'll fall out of their own lust. Now, lust always opposes the spirit. Flesh will always oppose the spirit thing, because flesh is hostile to God, it will not subject itself to the word of God. And verse 7, but the present heavens and earth, by his word, are being reserved for fire, as kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. And we've seen something about that fire. We also see that since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, that what sort of people ought you and I to be in holy conduct, that you and I should be in godliness. Therefore, beloved, now listen carefully. Since you look for these things, you better be found diligent. You better be diligent to be found with him in peace. You be found spotless. You be found blameless. Now, may I ask you something? Does that look like the church today? Well, we should examine and see if we've got a hold of another gospel and another Jesus. Perhaps we could be led by a different spirit. See, if you're walking in peace, you have the head of Jesus around you. If you're not walking in peace, there's something the matter with your heart. You have a problem with the Lord. There's something in your heart that's not right. Now, I want to tell you something about walking. That there's a war, as I said, going on that the church hasn't showed up for. And that's the powers of darkness. That's their ministry as flesh in rebellion. That's their ministry as a world, and we're supposed to overcome them. And they've been left out of the gospel to oppose them because their ancestors neither exposed nor opposed nor understood the powers of darkness. And we don't know all we should know, but we learn a lot more. But here's one thing you know. When you begin standing and walking in the Word, they will bring persecution against you because they will bring the flesh after you because flesh always comes against spiritual things. It will always oppose. And the powers of darkness have control of people in the flesh because the flesh nature is in total agreement with Satan. They're one. And so all Satan has to do is just put it in their minds and hearts in some way to take advantage. When they're becoming kings after the flesh, spiritual things will oppose them because spiritual things tear down the kingship of flesh. And Satan always leads flesh to take advantage. So 2 Corinthians 3.12 said, All who desire to live godly can look for this. You will be persecuted. Now, that's a promise that you will be persecuted. Now, there's a very important verse about going to heaven. It's about as clear as anything I know in this Bible right here. Matthew 7. Let's look in verse 21. Now, verse 21. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, it's going to enter the kingdom of heaven. Now, we're talking about going to heaven. There's going to be some people who are disappointed, surprised that they don't go to heaven. He turns around and says, who is going to heaven? But the one who does the will of God, the will of my Father, who is in heaven. He is the one that's going to go to heaven. Now, I want you just quickly to hold your place right there. I want you to turn with me to 1 Peter 4. And I want to show you something that's opposite. I want to show you the opposite of the will of God. I want to show you something that you can be doing that will be totally opposite of the will of God. Now, did we just read now, the ones who do the will of God are going to go to heaven, but there are going to be other people that think they're going to heaven. They're going to come and say, Lord, Lord. Is that correct? I've got some friends over here from Maryville. I just want to be, I hope they don't get to leave here tonight before I get to see them. Brother Ford, I'd be eager to see you all. I just want to mention that so you don't get away. And I appreciate your coming. Okay, in 1 Peter 4, we're going to see something that's opposite the will of God. Now, we know that the will of God is to go to heaven. Is that right? All right, now, we see the opposite of the will of God. Chapter 4, verse 1. 1 Peter 4, verse 1. Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourself also with the same purpose. Since Christ suffered, you're going to suffer. And that's what we've been seeing, because he who has suffered in the flesh has seen some sin. Why do you suffer in the flesh? Because the flesh is in total agreement with Satan, and the flesh lacks the powers of darkness. The powers of darkness come and give you thoughts for the flesh to tell you always how to take advantage and live for yourself. But there's one thing about this flesh. This flesh is hostile to God. It will not subject itself to the law of God, so that it holds you under the law. But Jesus came to not do away with the law, to abolish the law. He came to fulfill the law. And how does he do that? The sons of God will be led by the Spirit of God, and the sons of God, when you're led by the Spirit of God, you'll put to death the deeds of the flesh. Therefore, Galatians 5, verse 16, if you're led by the Spirit of God, you will not care after, you will not, you will not, care after the desires of flesh, verse 18, because if you're led by the Spirit of God, you're no longer under the law. Now, that's church. That's not a form of godliness. But there's a people today that calls themselves church. They're not led by the Spirit of God. And they say they're not under the law, and Jesus came and cursed them in Calvary, and it's a dwelling place. Now, so you suffer in the flesh, and you cease from sin. Does that sound like a will of God? Shake your head. Now, go to the next one, verse 2. So, we live no longer for the lust of men. We live no longer for the lust of flesh. We live no longer for the lust of flesh, but we live for the what? We live for the will of God. The will of God is opposite the lust of flesh. And you will see back in Matthew 7, the two trees have two different kinds of fruit. And obviously, the fruit of the flesh, which is rebellion, and the fruit of the Spirit are totally different, and you can't bear the fruit of the Spirit unless you're led by the Spirit of God, lest any man boast. Now, one other thing. Let's see one more other thing. Verse 15. Now, we're going to see something else that's opposite of the will of God, because now, I think that we've spent all our time in this word and come of the will of the Lord because that we're going to have a place in heaven. Is that right? Okay. Verse 15. Do not love the world. 1 John 2, 15. Do not love the world. Your Bible says, Do not let the world have your heart, nor on your heart you better separate from it. If anyone loves the world, the world has your heart, the love of the Father is not in him. For all, all, all, it's in the world. Here it comes. And here's how the powers of darkness hold the hearts of people in the world. The lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boast of pride of life. And all the rebellion there is, is in those three things right there. It's not from the Father, but it is from the world. And the world now is passing away. So you better not let the world or things in the world have your heart. And also it's what? Also the lust. It's going to pass away too. Now the opposite of that, loving the world, not letting anything have your heart, but the one who does the will of God is the one who's going to remain there forever and he's the one who's going to go to heaven. Is that correct? Isn't that plain? Now we see that you've got two different kind of trees. We're trees today. You're in here right now. You'll know you by your fruit. You'll know whether you've come to the light or not. We know whether you have a stubborn heart or a repentant heart. That's the way you'll know whether you're led by the Spirit of God. That's the way you'll know whether you're part of the body of Christ. You don't take on some label and say that you're part of the body of Christ. Now I want you to know, folks, as further and more and more the Lord's showing us in words, I want you to know the way gets narrower there all the time because there's been tremendous deception because, I mean, when you leave the powers of darkness, that's how the gospel is. We have. Back through the years, as our ancestors did, when you start waking up from things here, you start waking up from a nightmare. Matthew 7, verse 14, For the way is small and narrow is the way of the life, and few are those who are going to go in that narrow way. Now it says, Beware of false preachers. Beware of the false prophets. We've dealt with this a lot. They're going to come to you in sheep's clothing. They're coming as Christians. They look like Christians. They cry like Christians. They quote Scripture like Christians, but their problem's in their heart. Inwardly, they're ravenous wolves. They're not lambs because they have motives. They have motives in their heart. They'll exploit and use people. If you have pride in your heart, you'll take the things of God, but you'll use people in relationship to fulfill pride. If you have greed, if your heart still loves greed, you haven't repented from it, you'll use your relationship and you'll exploit people. You'll build a reputation. You'll build a name and you'll give some of the glory of God while you can get some of it. Now that's false teachers and that's false preachers. But inwardly, they're wolves. See, a wolf speaks peace to his neighbor while he sets an ambush for him. The flesh is always deceitful. The flesh always wants to be king. Flesh, that's why the flesh opposes the spiritual thing because flesh wants to be in charge. Now, the difference is that is your ambition and all your motives, the root of Jesus in your heart to please God in all your relationships. I don't seek the approval of men. I seek the approval of God in all my relationships so I'm never rejected in the blood. Amen? And the moment I seek the approval of men and to please men, I'm set up for rejection and hurt and there becomes a fortress that's going to be built in me to destroy me right then. That'd be just one fortress. But the word of our weapons are mighty in God to tear down these fortresses. Is that right? Casting down all these imaginations, we take thought, ever kept thought to the captive and the beaded to the Lord Jesus Christ and that got in our Bible too. Do not analyze. Amen? Praise God. We don't act like none of them's in there when we read them, are we, anymore. Don't skip them. Now, you're going to know them by their fruit. Grapes are not gathered from thorns. Well, there's your thistle. You see that in Hebrews 6. Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but if it's a bad tree, it bears bad fruit. If it's bearing bad fruit, it doesn't turn from it. It doesn't have a repentant heart. A good tree cannot be used to produce bad fruit and a kind of bad tree to produce good fruit. But now, if you're producing, if you don't produce good fruit, you produce bad fruit and look what happens to you in verse 9. You're cut down and thrown in the fire. Now, if the power of the darkness is the one that gets ground, when you bear bad fruit, your heart's in agreement with me and they have ground to begin attacking you and cutting you down to destroy. That's the same thing we saw over in John 15, verse 2 and verse 6. If you don't continue in Jesus, you're continuing and your heart's going somewhere else. And then when your heart's going somewhere else, that's kind of like you're going to fall away, wouldn't you say? Huh? And then when your heart's going, they come and gather you and they burn you. Don't act like it's not in there. It's there and it's judgment of God. But when people in the flesh like to pick out the blessings of God, they don't like to talk about judgment of God because you can't build nickels, noses and numbers when you're talking about sanctifying the congregation. Amen? So, then you're going to know them by their fruit. Now, I always want to mention something right here. Well, let me just first say that many are going to say Lord, Lord. And they think they're going to be in the kingdom of heaven and they don't know it because they're bearing the fruit of the flesh. They never have the repentance because they're still practicing sin. They have gathered around some carnal doctrine or some doctrine that does not conform you to godliness. And anybody that gathers around 1 Timothy 6, verse 3 through 5, if anyone advocates the doctrine that does not conform you to godliness, they're without understanding. They've got a veil. When you have idol in your heart, you have a veil in front of your face just like the Pharisees did. They're without understanding. They're deprived of truth. They have a morbid interest in controversial questions because controversial questions will always attack the gospel as it did in the day of the Pharisees. It does today. And I could just bring up all kinds of controversial questions. Do you believe in sinless perfection? Do you? Do you? Do you believe in eternal security for the believer? Boy, I want to talk about this this one. I sure do. But not believers that gather around the believers of ungodly carnal doctrines. I don't. That's a good question. Do you believe in the security of the believer? Do you believe God's Bible's a joke? How's that question? I thought, huh? Now what somebody is trying to say, do you believe in the insecurity of my believing in what I believe? Are you seeing the difference? Don't touch my cave, I'll kill you. That's called the security of the unbeliever. Now, verse 22. That's why I just mentioned before and I just like to say you know, this is why Billy Graham and many others quote over 75% of the church lost and things like that. Once again, I'm going to say that's not church. That's not church when you defend, when you make one statement there's many lost people there and you defend it with the other, with the same mouth. You know what I mean? That sounds like a fallen away to me. As a matter of fact, I think that 75% might out vote the 25%. I wonder which way to go. If you get the vote. Would the 75% take you to the world or would they take you to the spirit of God? Something to think about. You can meditate on that if you want to. Verse 22. We see a man right here in verse 22 that cast out demons. He prophesied and he did miracles all in the name of Jesus and Jesus told that man right there after he did all these miracles prophesying and everything, he said, I don't know you. I don't know you because you never did turn from the flesh. You practiced sin and you got you a foundation of sand somewhere because you never did turn from sin. You never did turn from lawlessness right there and that wasn't my spirit working through you. I don't know you. You don't get in the door. You're not in the ark. You're not blameless. You're not holy. You haven't purified your heart. You haven't sanctified and you don't have eternal life because you haven't done the will of God. You've got another Jesus and you've got yourself another gospel. You've got a pardon because you don't do all these things when you judge someone immediately You've got a problem with the powers of darkness. I'm doing a little review now If you if you condemn someone immediately, you've got a problem the torments on you when it comes out of your mouth It means it's coming from your heart It's the fruit of your heart when it comes out of your mouth when you have unforgiveness when you're unmercifully saying come on These are these are thorns and burns that's the world and the flesh and So these are suggestions that the powers of darkness always build a case against saying you agree with them up here It's down in your field down your heart. Then it comes out your mouth and when it comes out your mouth You're in agreement with the powers of darkness. You'll be in cut down. So we see there's the thorns and briars So we see verse 45 these two trees again the good man now the good treasure of his heart. This is a good man He has a good treasure in his heart. You know what the good treasure in your heart is look here It's this seed of the Word of God right here. I Mean you only let this seed get in your heart and you have a war going on right up here and you take every thought Captive your weapons of mighty God to your defenses against every word up here in your mind every thought all speculation They'd exalt itself against this Word of God and you take every thought captive The only problem that people don't take their thoughts captive because they won't walk in death long enough to enter into maturity That's how you endure to the end Because we know in Hebrews that you have to be a get become into the poor man You start as a babe and you'll continue and you will endure you will endure you will overcome And then we know your senses Become quickened and sharpened for good and evil you pick it up because that's where the Spirit of God leads you And it is all the Spirit of God. No man can boast. That's what makes it all great So it's the grace of God makes you something to fulfill the law That's reading you no longer on the law and to fulfill the law law if you move all rebate And you love your neighbors yourself. That's the Church of Jesus Christ. You become a slave and servant of rapture not a slave of the surgeon of the fledge and selfishness, so Good man out of the good treasure of his heart. He's going to bring forth You know where it's kind of what it is Then you call discernment and the evil man the evil man now the evil treasure of his heart He's gonna bring forth what is evil now if darkness look at me if darkness once again is come you're letting darkness You don't have any defenses. You're letting it come down in your heart You're letting it come down in this field if you're letting the seeds and darkness of Satan here pride ego rebellion hate anger motive murders Suspicion distrust of you all these come in up here if you don't take these thoughts captain They're going to come right in your heart You're going to listen to them to your hearts and agree with when your hearts in agreement sins is accomplished when you commit adultery in your heart sins accomplished when you agree of the devil in your heart and when you agree of the devil in your hearts gonna come out your mouth and Then when it's coming out your mouth you firing the wrong fruits the tree cutters are coming at you right then and they're building fortress here to destroy you right then and and and and also The branch begins to wither Because these things begin to steal a word from it you don't have two kind of seed in your field When you come to Jesus you repenting from all these things and then you want to to put out I'd leave you to purify your heart so you'll be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ Now you can't say that too much. So I'm gonna run that by you again so For the evil the evil man brings evil treasure Which he is mouth speak that which fills his heart so it comes out in heart So Lord asked good question there. Now. He asked this fellow right here Why did you call me Lord Lord and you don't do what I must say because my gospel Jesus said my word My word is a word You know what the gospel does the gospel conforms you to the image of Jesus the gospel washes your heart and it cleanses it But if Jesus Christ once again If not the total focus if he's not number one if you love the world You love the things of the world if you love flesh if you have idols you have these things the word can't wash you You're double-minded It can't wash you. It can't cleanse your heart Because you have some things you love more than the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore the word can't work in you And that's why you speak blessings and curse in this wisdom not come from above it's the world flesh and demonic That's the way the world walk and talk that's the way the world of church walks and talks It's the world flesh and it's demonic. So He goes in and explains there verse 47 They want to come to me and he hears my word and acts upon them Now that would sound like somebody that that heart is humbled they submit to the whole counsel of God and they hadn't gathered around part of the word to call it it like the Pharisees did and They haven't got tunnel visions of the word They receive all the Word of God and there's no end to the light because Jesus has all the light So Jesus stands in the center of his church He said I'm gonna show you who he's like right there the one it comes to me And here's my word walks in it and acts upon it It didn't have another word to obey is the gospel the Lord didn't tell us to analyze it He said obey it in that right So the Spirit of God is going to always lead us where the Word of God is and we can always look in the Word Of God and we can see It will look in the mirror rather to see where the Spirit of God believe in us. Amen now He is like a man who's standing on the Word of God He does beat the latest foundation upon the rock that rocks the Lord Jesus passion the Word of God and when the flood arose That's the power of the darkness and here comes the river that comes out of Satan's mouth right there This is all the words of rebellion Lust the flesh lust the eyes of bulls will try to laugh hate anger murder resent all these things it burst against that house and it Could not shake it Because it's been well built now that's in Hebrews that could not shake it. It's a shaking that's going on right now It's increasing every day and it's shaking coming on to the foundation and everything that can remove the wicked gonna be taken among the righteous And put destruction is going on right now and people's strength is leaving them right now Destructions going on over them right now and God's removing the proud the haughty the arrogant and all those are obeying to him And it's gonna be it's like a ball. It's like Rotten, it's just a period and people won't even see you know, because people asleep never wake up That's a sleeping foolish heart virgin of the last day They're virgins in the wrong gospel Now They're not in art and when you're not in art The river comes against you the flood comes against you the flood of words, you know in the day it's last days He's gonna be just like in the days of Noah. They were eating drinking married, you know They're worrying about what you're going to eat what you're going to wear what's going to you know and all the things that the world worries about and then This flood which is this river which powered dark switch I care about that those babbling tapes that I'm talking to you about It's going to come in the last days. It's already coming and It comes against those people who are not in art. The ones are not in the art They're not healthy, you know, you're in the art when you're walking in peace I thought you supposed to say in peace whenever you lose your peace or something out of your heart What it is somebody's already been tell me this week They were driving there and just told so all of a sudden they were just in they had such peace and all of a sudden They didn't have peace. Yeah They just said Jesus Why is it that I'm not peaceful right now? And the Lord just told her like I told you what back then he told her she repented that and she's never entered into high Praise before God like she did she's never had a time before God and God's reward in her for being attentive. He's is there Amen, so that's where we supposed to walk and you can't walk to please men. You can't walk back to the world You can't walk to please yourself. You can't walk in self-centered. You can only walk in love to have peace And that's what the gospel says. You'll either love walk in love or you'll go to hell Because love fulfills a lot. Amen, and if you're not fulfilling if you're not walking in love You're on the law if you're not overcoming. Amen, and only the Spirit of God can lead you to overcome, right? Okay So we see this man Blood rose. He couldn't shake his house because it's been well built you can't shake off the Word of God because You have the all the power and you have all the weapons of Jesus and everything Jesus is you have with you verse 49, but the one who's heard the Word of God and he doesn't act on it It's like a man. He built his house up on the ground. And what's that say? He doesn't have any foundation now. Let me tell you something folks Let me show you what not having a foundation is if you gather your hearts gathered to a doctrine That does not conform you to godliness doesn't inform you the current Lord Lord Jesus Christ That means it's not really on the Word it means if your heart is tied to one like the Pharisees were you will not be led by the Spirit of God and If you're not led by the Spirit of God And if you don't have a foundation on the Word that conforms you to godliness if you're not being conformed to That's the problem they people call her Christian never didn't understand what the sin nature is You don't understand what sin nature is what you repent from If you didn't repent none had you come say it because you said some words No, you got another Jesus and you got yourself another gospel And that's deception. He's got a foundation in his land because when the Pharisees once again to their Structure and doctrine Jesus come along with the Word of God They couldn't hear the Word of God because what Jesus said wouldn't fit in their structure. They had tunnel vision, right? So they were offended Jesus come a rock of offense. He become a stumbling stone They well went to hell a few of them got saved. So it is today so The one verse 49 who hasn't acted on accordingly is like a man. It'll ever happen to him. Now. I want you to know that I want to remind you again that we saw that Jesus is coming after a holy blight of pride He's coming after a blameless bride. Is that right? Okay, so there is a process called sanctification And now when we what do we see now the will of God But it's the ones that will have does the will of God are they the ones that go to heaven? Amen Now the others which obviously who walked out to the flesh which is the opposite rebellion They practice that and they bore the fruit of it right there. They're gonna say Lord Lord, is that correct? Because why they've got a foundation on carnal doctrines There's something else that permits them to bear that kind of fruit of the flesh They can practice lawlessness and go practice lawless. They can go out and cast out demons and they think that spirit of God with them with And go out and prophesize and do miracles and so people get around I guarantee you when you see these things and when you gather around people like it I'll tell you what you get gathered around you've gathered around personality Because the person who walks that way and it's not the spirit of God. He'll gather people to himself He'll draw people to his ministry and you'll go away quoting him. He'll become an idol in your heart I want you to know the spirit of God working through someone always drives you the Word of God that drives you to Jesus It doesn't drive you to some folks. It doesn't drive you to a ministry. It's not Jesus left aside in the yard Amen See that's a deception the last day is gonna be false prophet Because the Lawlessness going to increase which it's all right to sin people's love waxes cold once again when you love yourself and they preach that you Can't love somebody so you justify hate anger murder unforgiveness lovers of self lovers of money lovers of the world. That's all right So she's got a false security. That's not the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's deception and a road to hell Now turn the first Thessalonians to as Gospel don't please please folks. It wasn't written to please folks because folks are in the flesh Folks are in rebellion folks are hostile to God They will not subject their except the Word of God unless they repent and so it's both upset folks of controversial questions Flesh will always oppose spiritual things. So what either God said or he didn't say it. God's God Or he's your Lord. He's not if you want to please folks You want to join your heart to folks you want to join yourself the world you want to join yourself Don't think and you don't want persecution you You don't want to love everything. I've said this week is love everything. I want to it's a walk of love It's not just perverted love. It's the love of Jesus. Amen And that love will never be manifested to you as long as you're walking out the flesh it's perverted Now chapter 2 verse 1 for you yourself No brethren that are coming to you was not in vain and as we'd already suffered been mistreated in Philippi As you know, we had a boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition back then the gospel The gospel had a lot of opposition Could it been do you think the real gospel that I don't have a lot of opposition? When did that gospel change since all those disciples walked away when he said eat my flesh and drink my blood They didn't want his enemies. They didn't want to they didn't want to death. They didn't want to die of the world They didn't want to die to step they walked away from him But you don't have to walk with water down You don't have to walk away from the gospel where men use it pervert it and add water to it and change it and everything So they can become kings over people flesh king and sit on the throne Because then they change the gospel enough change the word enough where you can come in and you just your blessings You'll never hear judgment or anything like that and you pick out the blessings and you can build Reputations name career will feel greed will feel pride the money the root of all you get different roots beside Jesus And you start feeding them while you have God out on the way You're going to hell second Peter 2 They're going to hell. I just want to tell you where it is I'm glad you're alert though and sober always be sober All right, first Thessalonians 2 verse 3 For our exit exhortation does not and our gospel the word that we speak It doesn't come from error. It doesn't come from an impure heart and it doesn't come by way of defeat We're not saying one thing While our motive is another we are pointing to Jesus. The only thing I care about you folks is no Jesus crucified I don't I I'm not looking for no big didn't come here looking for no big shot Oh, I didn't come here to speak in cleverness of speech at the cross Christ be made none of the nor effect and you start looking at my intellect my academic my hermeneutic or or my Greek or whatever like that I Didn't come here to be called doctor in the marketplace a rabbi or whatever The only thing I want to know about you is Jesus Christ your Lord if you want to come to you in all your heart I'll let you trust be in the wisdom of men, but then the power of God. That's what Paul said. Glory be to God That's there like a word, but we never came with flattering Speech as you know, not a pretext for greed is not a motive and we don't seek glory for men What about that? I sound like somebody's trying to build a name for Jesus instead of building a name for something else, right? Boy, I like that some FM me jumping up and down hollering right now First 13 and For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you receive must the word of God's message You didn't have them in for the words of men But for what it really is It's a word of God and you don't not have the power of God because this word of God Performs this work and everyone it believes it conforms you the image of Jesus you plait this seed and then comes the ears in the Fruit the blade there it is. The enemy always reminds them because the motives of their hearts wrong. He'll tell them when you come to that verse right there They'll put somebody over here in the mind a big time There's somebody give them trouble of their name career and reputation everything and tell them just to add a little water to it Add a little water So they'll kind of skip it or add a little water because they're led to their mind and not in the war and they add a little While they compromise the Word of God and God's not in 25 miles of it That's how in a whole congregation destroyed the blind lead the blind. They all go to pit And a congregation never gets sanctified Thought the devil himself can and take charge that because their hearts in agreement with the things of the devil first nature the nature of faith All right now verse 15 you both Kill the Lord to pass out. They are not pleasing to me God, but they're what they're hostile law man, I want you to know that that the flesh is always hostile it'll kill and and and they were hindering us from Speaking of the Gentile. I'll tell you you'll get a hand or do you start saying what this word said that I don't care You can come out from under a rock. It's a dead book in your hand As we've been killed with historical revelations Verse 18 Paul said I want to come to you more and worse, but Satan thwarted me I mean the works of darkness always try to thwart you from anything and everything Might try to stop you being in bearable or any other place Now chapter 3 verse 2 Of Christ to strengthen and encourage you as to your faith because we know there's we're trying to tell you there's Opposition to the gospel and you're going to endure suffering at the hand of your country and I'm going to tell you they're going to hinder you They're going to try to come against you and have a way flesh and the devil are one they conspire together against the church and And so we're trying to strengthen encourage all temple the over to help you out So you'll understand this so that man my old man's going to be a disturbed by these afflictions for you Yeah, yeah circle afflictions about three times These afflictions are going to come now. I'm I'm just put pressures and put all kind of pressures That's what the powers that I can see when you get enough Pressure and everything going on and then he can make you react with anger Do you start war back to flesh you react you won't die to it See when you go through this fire that fire is all the pressures right here when you status to you can't handle it See God won't show you he can But on all these pressures and everything come on you and everything like that And then it just builds up and they're putting all these thoughts and everything And you must and you come back to anger hate criticism judgment condemnation everything see that's where destruction is and That's affliction. That's how the powers of darkness can't attack you with persecution and Affliction it persecute you and then if and and and it make it you uncomfortable in the flesh And then you'll start seeking approval of folks You're gonna water it down and seek your approval of folks. You won't send her and die to it Perfect love cast out all fear. Amen. Now, that's the fire. That's the test. They come and get you Churches demonize what you think about the world out there. I think they are too So, what do you think demonized folks are going to do do you think ever tell him by what to do sure they do Most of the church is demonized. They bring people against the spiritual thing Boy, don't don't get uncomfortable Get even done Do like a wall out there get all you can and can all you get make a name for yourself Why you help God a little bit come on down here and cooperate with me God. You see what I'm trying to do for you verse 3 So that no man may be disturbed by these afflictions For you yourself. No, you better know that we've been destined for this I mean, not only us they might want you to think it's for Paul to do that. Why will not that the fire trials come upon you for your Testing the fire is the power that I see the Holy Ghost at the fire the fire The Paradox is the fire they bring the pressure against you And if you will give in to the pressure that means you don't want to die If you give in the pressure you want to you you want to you want to walk and do the things of God and strength of the flesh But then when you When you walk back off you just stand there and just die to it now Lord I know what what time if you tempted in all points yet about sin and I can come before the song of grace and I Can receive help the time and I need right now and I'm and you say that you took my weakness I took your strength. So I just received you right now. I'm standing this I choose to line my heart up with the Word of God right here. I choose to die to this. I'm not gonna I'm being reviled. I'm not gonna revolve back On all these enemies in the name of Jesus talk you told me no longer war act of flesh is that gospel? so So we warned you was going to suffer affliction. So it came to pass as you know now Let me just let me just kind of enlighten you just a little bit here about this affliction still here today Would you please turn back to you 13? Matthew 13 praise God Praise you. Thank you Lord Jesus. I Want to show you something about affliction and persecution, okay So y'all now we'll I want to tell you what I Believe if you'll just stay with it here if you'll persevere and endure To the point of shedding blood there for just two or three more months We get something. Well, I'll tell you what, I believe we'll get to a plane That was just if you don't have an understanding about some things going in around you right now And I'm telling you what I'm believing I'm telling you what I'm beginning to see what Paul is talking about He goes to a place until he got it all out And you see if I did if I didn't stay here if I did a little sir about five sermonette here this week I you know, I couldn't even said my name We wouldn't know nothing if you hadn't said through all the word that you sit through this week now What is it done torn down and the Word of God is tearing down his idols It's removing that sin out of your heart your hearts being purified and Jesus is coming coming in and ruling and ran in your life Amen, but it was all hell has come loose to keep you from sitting there and hearing it and every time you ask somebody to come Come out. They look at you like a cave in a new gate nothing because the powers of darkness in them No, don't don't be able to get there because that Word of God they'll find out what's the truth now in Matthew 13 Verse 3 and he spoke many things to them in parables Saying behold the sore went out the soul. Is that what I'm doing right now? All right, and as he sowed Some seed fell beside the road and the birds came and ate him. Now, let me ask you something You're one of what this road is. Look at you ever hear the road of holiness The road of holiness is the road of overcoming the world road to being led to the Spirit of God And so when you sow, what do you do? You sow some come over here and get on the road come over here and jump on this road highway of holiness Come over here. Here's some seed over here. Yeah So we dropped some seed over there beside the road But then when you drop those seed over beside the road those folks out there got some problems They hear from God and they let the devil take it away from them. You're trying to tell them come over here and get on the highway They won't come over here and get on the highway because because they let those devils you try to tell them and they let the devil Take it back. Look over there in 19 Here they are and when anyone hears the Word of God I'm gonna leave in 18 Hear them the parable of the sword when anyone hears the word of the kingdom They start hearing the Word of God you go down the highway and he don't understand it. He doesn't understand it an evil one comes and snatches away what's been sown in his heart He doesn't understand because his heart's not turned toward you the same thing when you witness somebody they can't hear it They can't even hear because so demons are talking them 30 miles an hour right there in their mind right there until they turn their turn And to you your witness somebody in their heart turns you immediately The Spirit of God the angel or something said shut up and bang There's a piece comes over that person here every word you say because his heart turned toward Jesus The veil is removed in Christ when you turn your heart toward Christ you start hearing. Amen So they couldn't have done in an understanding now We go back to verse 5 Another the other these seeds fell on hardened hearts. You see that I Can't hear you They fell on Hardin's heart rocky places Where they didn't have much so on a meeting they sprang up because it had no depth of soul now and then and and they received the word and Now there I think it's real joyful boys. It's fun receiving the word. So let's hear what happened next verse and When the Sun had risen They were scorched now. Who do you think that Sun is? Can I tell you who the Sun is? That's the fiery test That's the trials that the powers that I can come Just to bring against you to get you to back off off of the Word of God They've come to take that word out of your heart They don't want you to stand on that word because you stand on that word You're going to do a way of them because they've already been defeated Amen and and The God's going to crush Satan and all them under your feet and you've got a ruling rain everywhere you go get all your prayers Answered you bear much fruit for God and in every whatever you ask in his name. He's going to give to you James for said that when you pray of me you pray the wrong motive because you're you're speaking blessings and curses out of your house You mouth you're not really living a purified heart your doctors your whore you pray with the wrong motive But but when the Sun had risen verse 6 they were scorched now, that's the fiery test and Then because they had no root see they don't stand in Jesus There's something else now look at look at me folks. Let me explain it. Don't you see this? The root in your heart is only supposed to be one his name is Jesus When you let any other root come in here, it starts building a fortress in it could be a root of our explain it to you on the thing here you get a root of pride and it starts building all kind of deceitful things in your life and Amen and So this man right here When the Sun came against him the scorch the heat the pressure The pressure There's a Sun and the scorch coming he he never sat on the word of God You know, it's going to get build up build up because it you know what in this pressure in this trial right here He would he would he would stand if the only root he had with Jesus He would suffer in the flesh and sleep in sin, right? Now what your Bible says Okay. Now, but if if you don't stand there if you don't suffer in the flesh flesh is gonna have to do it for God I don't you'll look at me. I'm speaking life and death. There's three people there. It's been here all week Alright, so I don't want you to miss it. It's happening to you all the time so then when the Sun and the Pressure and the trial comes against you the fire comes against you You respond in the flesh maybe fight anger short war that hate criticism Unforgiveness and all these things resentment all these things again happening in your life You won't suffer in the flesh and see some sense. So when you do that That's how they take the word of the over here That's how the Word of God is stolen now your heart Because why you had another root in your heart And your heart went to that root. You want to please pride? Pride's not gonna look bad Greed not gonna lose its position Jealousy I'm proud not gonna look weak Are you understand? Are you hear what I'm saying? You hear me? You get another root and your heart goes that route. I said, let's read it again. Okay Now But when the Sun had risen they were scorched and because they had what They didn't say their heart didn't go to the root Jesus their heart went to the root pride Their heart went to root Greed their heart went for it. Are you see what I'm saying? And So what happens to them right there? I Can't hear you They're withered away. What's withered away means look at me folks You start drying up You start drying up. I've learned something from God this week. I could just do backflips. Oh, oh dear God I'm just glad that this week that I've had all these years and months that I've been going through things and I finally learned You wither away and what's John to what's John? 1516 and Then you dry up and they come and gather you and burn you up and destroy you because your heart is in rebellion You don't bear the fruit of the Lord in the pressure in the trials right there and the tree cutters come and cut you down Matthew 7 so everybody it's gathered around carnality is being destroyed. That's how Babylon got to be at the dwelling place of these Now let's just see over here in verse 6 we want to jump over there and Verse 20 and we're going to see as he explains Now we see the Word of God right there The seed was sown on some folks. It had a hardened heart Rocky places, is that right? And this is a man. He hears the Word of God and Immediately is excited He receives it with joy Yet he has what I Can't hear you He has no firm root in himself, I mean the root I mean in Jesus He's not he's not continuing in Jesus. He's not you've got to tell by the bad means continuing. You're not continuing in Jesus. Amen So what is his heart? He has no firm root himself, but he's only what? Temporary because he won't give up these rocky places, you know in the parable the word and Isaiah 5 Jesus comes there in his vineyard removes the stones, doesn't he? He removes some of this man not letting the stones move done and do we know in Luke 13 They didn't bear the fruit. He just said go ahead and cut it down So I'm gonna add a little fertilizer to it. Then if it don't If it doesn't work, then I'm gonna go ahead and cut it down. Amen. I'm gonna dig around it. Yeah. Well, okay Let's see if you can to bear fruit. So I'm gonna cut you back I'm gonna put you through some trials for you bear some more fruit Are you you know right down here in Cleveland, Tennessee? I told God I love God so much in my heart I said God I'm asking you in the name of Jesus. I said, I'll tell you God I'm asking you God to do to me Anything you want to do to me? Whether I like it or not. I don't care whether I like it I don't care whether my wife likes it or anything else. I think God only you know, I don't know I won't give you permission and I ask you to do to me Exactly what you want to do to me to make me like you what a prayer But I used to go say in it and the hell I went I may tell you what you talk about the wind get knocked out of some folks sale Me and my wife went all the way we went to a place with that folks sitting right here I'm close enough to home. I know I'm telling the truth Had about six businesses there and you know, I got into those things and all them things disappeared and I'm telling I had a banker talking to me like I was a Stepchild and I had all the security and things like that and all the things and I'd tell you what we lost all that thing Everything we had I'd tell you what I was going through those things and I told some folks I'd walk out of town naked if I Could just walk away from that whole thing right there, but God wouldn't let me do it. I couldn't leave it I mean I was in the fire and the pressure was there it was there They were something in my life God had to get out of it He had to get out of it and I want you to know he knows how to do it and those demons were tearing my Head off and I finally got to a place right there I said in a room down there with for three months like you ever see a bird that flew into a plate lace it just And that's where I sit there and I'm telling you one My wife my wife and I was so proud because how we can make money and how we will and it wasn't given God to credit He's blessing us and all that didn't help them need to be tied up in that stuff Anyway entangled in I know better than that now But anyway, my wife and I she'd been general manager of the largest black cosmetic company in the world traveling with Unlimbed expense account over the world and here we are. We found ourselves out in Fort Worth, Texas I and I had a little old truck little old Japanese truck and Little old burping machine in there and I was out there playing in carpet and I played in carpets in this grease factory And and she didn't have her unlimited expense account no more and she wasn't traveling all over the world as a matter of fact We went salvation army once or twice to get something out there If you know something if I hadn't gone through that I couldn't help what's going on with me today You know what? I don't do. I don't buy nothing Unless I pay for it. Amen You know something else And got any building don't want no building. I mean he didn't work getting me. It's gonna last me forever But you know something I went through the fire. If you don't go ahead through the fire young gun doesn't share If it's you Not worth two cents It's not gonna be a Jesus until you go through and get out of the way of it So right there we see So the thought the seed was thrown on a rocky place and he received the word with joy Yet he had no firm root in himself, but it was only temporary and when this affliction and when this persecution It came because of what? The word in his heart immediately. He what he did what? He fell away in that interesting word he fell away but today To divide a day's bandage. It's alright fall away. It's alright not communion Jesus You don't have to do that You don't have to be led by the Spirit of God You don't have to endure to the end. You really don't have to overcome anything. You don't have to worry about persecution You don't have to have friction just be at ease just get you another Jesus Just get you another gospel. It's alright to fall away from the faith. It's alright to start calling something Jesus It's not Jesus to call something church. It's not church. Call something faith. It's not faith. It's alright. It's alright. Peace Safety, but what do you say he fell away? Why'd he fall away? Because Jesus didn't have his heart. His heart got tested by the trials The pressures that came upon him If he used to be happy about it, but now the discipline See if a person doesn't receive discipline. He's a whore. He's a harlot. He's a false son. He's illegitimate He's your Hebrews 3 and 4 says you will possess that lamb In other words, let me tell you the gospel says you will walk in love That's the gospel You will fulfill the law you and it's gonna be all and be done through the Spirit of God and that's the grace of God Amen, and I want you to know folks. That's not work Because the people that be using the salvation but words always calls obeying the Lord walk with that lead led the Spirit of God work That's how they Kings get to still be King because you start listening to God you kingship comes down Flesh don't like God Flesh likes part of the Bible because you can take part of it there and build yourself a kingdom here on earth You can go shed the blood of the righteous and there's no worse hell for anyone on this earth and people that pervert the Word of God and proclaim it and become a stumbling block and Because those are the first ones that that's there's a one to be a you've heard about AIDS for homosexuals and stuff like that you're going to hear about a What am I trying to call it hireling diseases If there's a leads in our disease, they're gonna be harling diseases and things like that I'm not serious. Well, I Want to read you again now verse 4 for indeed When we were with you folks here now, we've been trying to tell you about this persecution We've been trying to tell you about in During we've been telling you about your countrymen are going to come against you But we've been telling you that this is the gospel not to please men It's got it and and you're not to speak this gospel from air or impurity or way of deceit You're not to speak do it for men. Now. What did we come here? Well, we come to strengthen you encourage you in your faith about that now verse 4 3 4 for indeed when we're with you We kept telling you in advance That we were going to suffer affliction that we were going to suffer affliction and now it's got news you folks You're going to suffer it, too Everybody stands on the Word of God going to suffer in the blood If you said whoever wish to come after me Let you gonna take up your cross and then he'll bow like me because whoever wish you want to save this lot He was to let his heart go to this flesh and save this life in this world gonna lose it But I would lose his life for my sake of the gospels one. He's going to save it Amen Yeah But you're gonna suffer as affliction so it came to pass, you know, and you saw our suffering now We saw what the flick him was over Matthew 13, didn't we? That's the fiery test. Amen for this reason When I couldn't endure it no longer I Said to find out about your faith I want to know if you're still walking with Jesus if you're possessed in the land if you're a sacrifice in your heart for fear I fear for you. I fear for you. Paul says I've got a fear for you Not the tempter these powers of darkness that have come to tempted you and then all our labor would have been in vain That wasn't supposed to be in the Bible. Watch it. All our labor being vain when you turn back and fall away Uh-oh Boy I'm that's up to be all of you want but I mean you did fit in your Bible didn't huh? Then our labor would be in vain. Have you stopped thinking that enemy because you know why? Because you chose against sanctification You chose against the pure heart you chose against love Because your heart is known to something else any time anybody falls away from Jesus They found something they love better Jesus and it's an always an idol. What do you think about that? Colossians 3 verse 5 says About the impurity and morality and all these things if you practice we said don't practice them because you practice in you're not overcoming If you're not overcoming you may die out a lot of it Now if you don't practice it's called chastisement You turn you'll be chastised and then you'll go to the light. You'll get back in peace. You'll repent or whatever It is it's got what whatever's coming against you. Amen That's way it's why it always stays a walk of peace, right? Now, why did he say the temperature tempt you and our labor would be in vain because you're going to fall away You're going to turn back To the principles of the world or whatever that verse 11 311 now may our God and father himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you and may the Lord cause You to increase and abound in what? Love now, I'm going to tell you when you are suffer affliction you are abounding in love Because see when you listen folks when you suffer in affliction and persecution When you suffer rather than wife the flesh you're dying to play and Jesus said after you suffer for a while Then I'm going to establish you I'm going to perform you and I'm on perfect you after I've watched you suffer a while But you don't come with see your heart prove that you love me more than you love Love yourself. Amen You see it. Okay. Now establish me and establish the covenant Okay Because why does he want to do it? Let me read a verse get 12 and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another and for all men Just as we also for you so that he may establish what? The Lord wants to establish your heart as what? I'm blamed on home. Now. Let me ask you something if you practice in are you unblameable? Are you holy? You absolutely are not you absolutely are not and if you don't overcome it, you've got rebellion I mean if you don't overcome it, you've got idle in your heart. You won't give it up You found something you love more than Jesus and Jesus is that you supposed to hate your father brother every the world There's a lot love the things in the world Nothing, you love everything less than the Lord even in every relationship. You speak as the Oracle of the God you do as Oracle I speak God Favor Number one in all relationship. I do under you and relationships I do in the Lord because I won't hit I would do every my ambitions please the Lord and everything He's wanting so I have my mind my thoughts because that's how you take every thought kept you pleasing him the root Jesus you're pleasing him and everything you do That's where blessings are and if your your curses are coming out of your mouth the powers of darkness are tearing you all to pieces so you to walk with a stubborn heart you wrote the penitent heart and I'm gonna tell you people are destroyed when you say I help I have peace though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart that's deception So we see he wants you to bound in love because that's what he just came to fulfill the law You fulfill the law but moving all selfishness and when you move all seven this love is perfected in you Which we'll see some more about later on, right? So I want you to remember now. I Like you to remember the fact that the flesh is hostile to God It will not subject itself the law of God. Well now that is that absolutely contrary Jesus said I come to fulfill the law and the flesh Is hostile to the law and it will not subject itself the law of God. So something has to happen to the flesh, right? Well, I can only happen through the Spirit of God The branch is not going to do it But if the only way you do anything the flesh is continuing Jesus and you can't continue in Jesus unless you live the Spirit of God Amen so We in first Thessalonians 4 now I'll ask you something did we see while ago That there going to be some people to dip now on everybody. Look at me right here right now They were going to be two different people here and If we're going to come to the question of heaven or hell, is that what we saw back in Matthew 7 21? And we saw they're going to be some people that come up and think Jesus is Lord. Amen, and Then they're going to be some people that the Lord says are the one that's going to say Lord Lord. They Obviously we saw bore the fruit of the flesh rebellion, right? That right? shake your head and Then the others did the will of God in the will of God If you put the flesh to death and that's what the Spirit of God leads you to do and that's fulfillment of the law And that's why the Spirit of why you live the Spirit of God, you're no longer on the law But if you're not led that way you're on the works of law and you're under a curse because the powers of darkness is destroying you There's no peace for people are the curse Say Jesus became a curse for as it comes you're walking in practice sins of flesh I'm going to tell you I don't care what you join to or what your heart's God or who you are Were you the pastor were you front row back row choir choir director top deacon 35 year pen or whatever it is I'm telling you you're being destroyed And you are under a curse you are under a curse you're under curse That's the works of law. Jesus became a curse Jesus redeemed you from the curse of law You can't be redeemed from the curse of law if you walk another law Because spirit of God don't lead you to walk on the law and we know it let me just Just in case some new folks are here or something. I just want to remind you of something in Galatians 2 it says verse 17 if while seeking to be justified in Christ We are stepped in found sinners is Christ the men of this sin No Christ is not the men of this sin if it's obviously you're not being led by the Spirit of God For if I reveal what I want to destroy it, I prove myself to be a transgressor. That's very plain Is it he said are you so foolish you ought to begun by spirit? You're not being perfected by the flesh. You've you started out in a spirit You're trying to perfect the flesh because in Galatians 1 you've got yourself tied to a different doctrine a distorted gospel a gospel Contrary and your curse for now I've tried to please men or please God and that gospel pleases men and that's how you get in the flesh. Amen Now folks, I'm just reading the Bible here tonight. He's ain't jumping in you can be free from it. I Thought the one thing what I'm gonna tell you what flesh either has to come to the left He'll either now I want to tell you it doesn't like this part of the gospel. Can I just tell you? If your heart loves strongholds and it loves the flesh You are hostile and The devil those strongholds those things sitting inside you are telling you some things about me and I'm ready to read the Bible I won't tell you who your problem is. It's Jesus Your problem for Lord Jesus Christ, you don't come to line don't you I'm reading now your Bible If the Bible is in your lap right there And I want you to know something You'll always be hostile and until you repent from the flesh and Turn to Jesus with a whole heart because you you don't come to Jesus with party hearts You don't come to make Jesus one of your idols now when I say one your idols if you have other eyes You won't Jesus be one of them say Jesus will not be one of your idols He'll either have y'all whole heart or you've got yourself another Jesus another gospel That's why everybody's being destroyed today and that's what our ancestors taught us now First Thessalonians 4 finally then brethren We request an exhort you in the Lord Jesus Christ if you receive much instruction and how you ought to what? Walk and how you ought to what? Please God now we know that those walk out the flesh in Romans 8 7 and 8 They can't they're hostile God and they will not cannot please God. Is that right? So you got to please God We know what you walk out the flesh. You can't please God. So what does it say in verse 3? You want to know what the will of God is you want to know who goes to heaven this is the will of God You're what? You're deceived You're not led by the Spirit of God you got a false security You're a saint of occasion This is how you reconcile back to God now. We look at verse 4 here It explains it that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in Sight of occasion and honor not in lustful passion and you cannot turn from lustful passion Unless you're led by the Spirit of God, which leads you to put it to death Back to you're not gonna walk there like the Gentiles who do not know God and you did not know God You did not know God before Jesus Christ became Lord alive And when somebody comes Lord, they tell you what to do And he just tells you what to do but being leading you by the Spirit amen, and he leads you to put it to death because in Before you kind of make Jesus Lord verse Ephesians 2 verse 1 you were dead in your trespasses You formally walked according the course of the world you formally walked according to the principality of Satan You formally and and the demon spirits that were working in all the sons of disobedience that work at walk out the flesh and they're still They're in all of them that walk out the flesh that call sons of disobedience and we saw the opposite of that over and first Peter 1 14 is obedient children You're no longer conformed to the form of lust which was yours in your exist But now like the Holy One you're going to be holy and all your behavior unless you've got another gospel Now he said among them. We all will formally lived in and Ephesians 2 verse 3 you formally live you formally live you formally live which means you don't live there anymore You formally live when you as a son of disobedience I have to lust the flesh desires the flesh in the mind and you were the nature children wrath because the wrath of God was On you because you're a lawbreaker Amen, the law brings wrath It brings judgment. It brings a curse and it's not the church of Jesus Christ. It walks in So we see the will of God is your sanctification verse 3 Each of you know to have a set your own vessel in sanctification and honor Not unless the passion like the folks who do not know God verse 7. I only see verse 3 at 6 and No, man Then no man Transgress and defraud his brother. Hey, you're going to transgress and defraud your brother. Look at me folks Oh, that's what flesh always does flesh always uses abuses. It wants to Lord it over That's what all your life I've told you before and it's your best seller has told you how to explore it How to how to control how to have power how to be king how to get the top how to make a name for yourself That's flesh and that's way Satan's leading the world flesh wants to be king It wants to rue but be the opposite of that is died the flesh and then you keep your mind get your mind off of yourself And your mind stays on being the service hate and love and how you can heal Amen, and see that's what Jesus come to do He puts this flesh to death and your heart loving any parts of the flesh. He puts it all to death He'll spotlight it and each one. He shows to you. You'll make a choice You will make a choice every time you read the Bible You'll make a choice to some other the world of things in the world of flesh or you'll make a choice to Jesus and every Time you'll choose Jesus because you'll love Jesus more than you do the flesh or anything or the world and then which means That you'll suffer in the flesh, but you'll turn from it and that's how you sanctifies and purifies your heart He has to be Lord of your whole life our heart or he cannot sanctify your heart. Are you seeing what it is? and Then as he if he's Lord you love him more you do selfishness Then all selfishness has to go and then when all selfishness is removed But you're not you're walking right and that's it. That's renewing of the mind. That's regenerate. That's a washing of the word This is how you become a new creation all of it That's how you become a pure heart something here is not mixed and then you're the image and likeness of God That's how you possess you but that's not less Well practice then when you when you remove all the selfishness then all your mind all your heart It's loving other people and helping other people you become a service you become a slave of righteousness That's how Jesus come to fulfill the law because you're no longer breaking the law because Late in 522 and 23 if you're led to the spirit It approves of the spirit to be love joy peace long-suffering goodness generals meekness sympathy faith And once again, I get such thing There's no law because there's no bride breaking law when it walks in love. What about that? I forgot now That's why it says in verse 6 that no one Transgress or defrauded brother. You're not going to speak judgments. You don't speak condemnation. You're not gonna speak slander You know, you're not gonna defraud when you do it. You're breaking the law and I'm gonna tell you the law brings wrath You leave it Frank Frank you can't repent and turn from unless you've got a sacrifice and the sacrifice of Jesus and you hadn't if If Hebrews 10 show you that if you if you do it willfully, you don't have a sacrifice Is that what it says? If you if you do if you willful rebellion of God, you know, they're in the matter because the what? The Lord is the one Avenger for those who defraud So if you want to do and fresh flesh always defraud and use this relationship And so when you transgress and defraud your brother the Lord has a vengeance right there You only tell you what that vengeance is. It's the law The law that brings a lot wrath That law stands right there to say you will walk in love The only way you can walk in love is walk in covenant No, the way you can walk in church be led the Spirit of God and nobody can't both. It's all great It's all Jesus and if you make a mistake You make a mistake And maybe you don't even have any sacrifice to go to to get cleansed of it unless you're walking in Jesus and no one can obey The law no one can keep the law. No one can keep the law. No one can keep that's impossible for a person to keep the law Unless you're led the Spirit of God You have the power of the cross you have the power of the blood you have the power of Jesus to overcome it and that is Grace that the power of God doesn't work in you to make you that's his strength That's covenant part to make you something to overcome All rebellion. Amen Let me read again and that no man Transgressed and defrauded his brother in the matter because the Lord is avenger in all things Yes, as he also told you before and what did he do and what? He saw me a warning a lot of people get warning. So Adam and Eve got some warning But God has not called us for the purpose of what? Impurity now, let me ask you something. What what what's the opposite impurity is pure having a pure heart. He hasn't called you for Impurity have an impure heart the impurity is not going to heaven when you see that in Ephesians 5 5 you see it in I Think it's a lot of three five But let me just say it unless it's there Yes Imperious idolatry if you practice it flushing three five But he won't change that around make it look something else You got tunnel vision have changes scripture around right here, but God has not called us for the purpose of impurity But for what? Sanctification means a pure heart now. Let me ask you something You remember the verse we saw over in Matthew 7 said who's going to go to heaven? now we saw it's I'm gonna say Lord Lord and And they don't go is that right because what they practice lawlessness it will bore the wrong fruit Which means they had what kind of heart?
