15 Bible Verses on Writing

15 verses

The written word plays a significant role in the biblical narrative, as seen in Habakkuk 2:2, where the prophet is instructed to record a vision. The New Testament affirms the importance of writing in 2 Timothy 3:16, which states that all Scripture is inspired by God. The writings of the apostles, such as Paul in Romans 15:4, provide guidance and encouragement for believers. According to Proverbs 3:3-4 and Hebrews 4:12, the written word has the power to transform and renew, offering wisdom and discernment to those who read and heed it.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
