13 verses

In the New Testament, Jesus institutes a sacred meal as a symbol of His body and blood, given for the redemption of humanity. As recorded in Luke 22:19-20, Jesus commands His disciples to remember Him through this act, which is reaffirmed in 1 Corinthians 11:24-27. John 6:53-58 emphasizes the spiritual nourishment believers receive through partaking in this sacrament, while 1 Corinthians 11:26 and 28 encourage believers to examine themselves before participating, recognizing the profound significance of this communal act of worship and remembrance. This sacred meal is a powerful expression of unity and devotion among followers of Christ.
