13 Bible Verses on Helping Those Who Hurt

13 verses

In times of suffering, God's people are called to provide comfort and support to one another. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians about the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who consoles the afflicted so they can offer consolation to others. As Galatians 6:2 instructs, believers are to bear one another's burdens, and Psalms 34:18 reminds us that God is near to the brokenhearted. By trusting in God's sovereign care, as expressed in 1 Peter 4:19, believers can offer hope and strength to those who hurt, just as Isaiah 40:29-31 promises that God will give strength to the weary.
