6 Bible Verses on Flying

6 verses

In the biblical account, the ability to fly is often associated with divine power and salvation. The prophet Isaiah writes of those who wait on the Lord, saying they will "soar on wings like eagles" (Isaiah 40:31), while also referencing the protection of Jerusalem like birds flying to defend their young (Isaiah 31:5). The Psalms similarly describe God's deliverance, likening it to the escape of a bird from a hunter's snare (Psalms 124:7). Additionally, Psalms 104:3-4 portrays God as one who lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters and makes the clouds His chariot, with the wind as His wings.
