As followers of Christ, believers are called to shine as lights in the world, reflecting God's love and care for others. In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus teaches that His disciples are to be a source of illumination, pointing others to Him through their good deeds. According to 1 Peter 2:9, they are a chosen people, commissioned to proclaim the praises of God, while 1 John 4:18 reminds them that perfect love drives out fear, enabling them to serve with confidence. With God's promise to prosper them in Jeremiah 29:11, believers can trust that their efforts to help others will ultimately bring joy and fulfillment, as they look forward to the crown of life mentioned in Revelation 3:11.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, you are also an heir through God.
