Eternal Word

1 sermons

The concept of the Eternal Word is foundational to understanding the nature of God and His revelation to humanity. In John 1:1, we are introduced to the Word, which was both with God and was God, emphasizing the divine essence and eternal existence of Christ. This eternal nature of the Word signifies that it is not bound by time or circumstance, as affirmed in Hebrews 13:8, where it states, 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.' Through the Scriptures, we see that the Eternal Word is not only a source of life but also a guiding light, as expressed in Psalms 119:105, 'Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.' The prophetic writings, such as those in Isaiah 40, reveal the enduring promise of God's Word, proclaiming comfort and hope to His people, as seen in Isaiah 40:8, 'The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.' Ultimately, believers are called to embrace and embody this Eternal Word, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 4:4, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' In understanding the Eternal Word, we find a profound assurance of God's unchanging truth and His faithful presence throughout all generations.
