Defending Faith

3 sermons

Defending faith is a crucial aspect of Christian living, as believers are called to be prepared to give a reason for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15). This involves being able to articulate their faith and respond to criticisms or challenges, as seen in the example of the apostle Paul, who reasoned with the Jews and Gentiles in the synagogue and marketplace (Acts 17:17). The Bible encourages believers to trust in God's sovereignty and providence, as expressed in Romans 8:28, which states that all things work together for good to those who love God, and to find comfort in His presence, as described in Psalms 23:1, where the Lord is likened to a shepherd who guides and protects His people. By trusting in God's power and promises, Christians can confidently defend their faith, as they are assured that God will equip them with the necessary wisdom and words to respond to any situation (Luke 12:12).
