Creation Order

1 sermons

The order of creation is a profound theme woven throughout the biblical narrative, revealing God's intentional design and purpose in the cosmos. In Genesis 1, we see the systematic unfolding of creation, where God speaks the universe into existence, declaring each aspect of His creation as 'good' (Genesis 1:31). The creation of humanity stands as a pinnacle moment, as God creates man in His own image (Genesis 1:26-27), establishing a unique relationship between the Creator and His creation. This divine order not only reflects God's sovereignty but also sets the stage for understanding our role within His creation. As Paul writes in Colossians 1:16, all things were created through Christ and for Him, emphasizing the centrality of Jesus in the created order. Furthermore, the creation narrative invites believers to recognize the inherent goodness of the world, as seen in Psalms 104, which praises God's handiwork in nature. Understanding the creation order is essential for grasping the fullness of God's plan, including the redemptive work of Christ, who restores the brokenness introduced by sin (Romans 8:21). As we reflect on these truths, we are called to stewardship and reverence for the world God has fashioned.

Bernard Fell preaches on the divine order of creation, highlighting the moon as Earth's satellite with borrowed light, ruling the night as queen, and the contrast of the moon's barrenness to Earth's fruitful seasons due to man's sin. He draws parallels between the moon landing by space-men and Jesus
