Ability Of God
The concept of the "Ability of God" in the Bible can be understood through various attributes that highlight God's omnipotence, sovereignty, and faithfulness in fulfilling His purposes. The term often relates to God's power to create, sustain, and intervene in the world and in human lives. For example, Psalm 147:5 proclaims, "Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite." This verse emphasizes God's supreme power and incomprehensible wisdom, showcasing His ability to accomplish anything according to His will.Additionally, the Bible frequently illustrates God's ability through His actions and promises. In Ephesians 3:20, Paul expresses that God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." This passage reflects not only God's power but also His intimate involvement in the lives of believers. God’s ability is grounded in His nature as the Creator and Sustainer, affirming that nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:17). Thus, the Ability of God encompasses both His limitless power and His covenantal faithfulness to His creation.
