Let us sit back and listen as the servant of God brings forth the Word of Life. I simply want to establish the value, the preciousness of your marriage in fulfilling the purpose of God for creating you or for bringing you forth or for raising you at a time like this.
So I'd like to now go on from where we had stopped as we turn to the Word of God. We stopped looking at Genesis chapter 2 and I was about to move out of that, but I just want you to read that verse 18 again. And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone.
I will make him a help meet for him. The word meet, the word suitable, the word adaptable, the word fit, the word of his own size. I will make a help meet, suitable, adaptable, fitting of his own size that could meet every need and that could supply every omission and every help that he will have a need of in life.
I will make for him. Now permit me to note before I go ahead that what makes your marriage valuable is the fact that what God said he will make to meet, to fit into your life can never be outdated. I mean there will be no point in your life that you will outgrow what your wife can supply.
Please permit me to note that because I want to say it's not only, it is not that your marriage has no alternative, it is that it can never be outdated. I found that when God was making the woman, the bone that God said he took, he took the rib to make into a woman. If I were just to be ordinarily physical, I realize that every time you are growing, if you are growing properly, you will notice that it is not only your chest that is growing.
You will discover that when we say a young man is growing, every part of his body is growing. It is not that his hand that was two feet long when he was younger, as he has now grown, one right hand has become four feet and the other one remained two. Is that how somebody grows? How do you grow? You grow proportionately all around.
I would like to note with you that your marriage, the way God designs it is never outdated. You can never outgrow it. Actually it grows with you.
It grows as you grow. Every need of your life, if you begin to understand how to engage and maximize your marriage, you will soon discover that your wife is growing proportionately with the need of your life. It means at no particular time will you need to say, let me change my wife because she is no more fitting to my need.
It means there will be no time at which you say, my husband is no more someone that I can help. My help is already too big for him or too small. If your marriage is growing well, you never outgrow it.
It is never outdated. It will always remain relevant and so I want to note that the development of your wife is elastic to always fit and to always meet up with any challenge, any need or any expansion that your life may initiate. When we were younger and I had not understood biblical principles of marriage and I was resisting marriage because all the ones I saw, they were casualties.
And all the very, very serious Christian brothers we knew, as at that time, they didn't marry. And we wanted to be like them because to us, we thought spirituality means never to marry. And every message they were preaching to us, it implies that marriage is canality and that if you seriously want to serve God and please God, avoid women.
We were taught that the woman is the woe of man and that those who want to make it well, the best way to escape, the escape route is to avoid women. Even though there is no inner strength to avoid women, but we were all straining our lives thinking that we are going to go far. I remember that we quote, it is now that as I grew and I'm studying the word of God, I realized that most of the marriages they were describing, they were the marriages of Genesis 3. The marriages of the fallen man, the marriages of the carnal man, that was what they were describing and they were saying we should run from.
Sometimes they would stand up and say, look, they would quote a man of God, highly experienced man of God like John Wesley, they say, you see, the anointing on his neck was so great, but his marriage was a disaster. They would say things like that. They would make us to feel that when you get married, you don't go far.
It was later on as I started studying and I started looking at the word of God and God began to confront me with his own perfect will, with what he ordained in the beginning, that I began to realize that even those that they were showing us as examples of failures, it is because they did not follow the word of God the way they should. It's because they were not exposed to the truth that God would want us to know. As I go ahead to looking at the value, the value, the preciousness of your marriage in fulfilling God's call, God's purpose, God's assignment for your life.
I want to add to what we said that what makes your marriage value, the value of it, it is that it is never outmoded. It can never be outdated and you can never outgrow it. Which means, married 20 years ago, if you follow the word of God, that marriage is irrelevant.
That marriage never becomes a bondage. You never say, well, it's because I was already married to this woman, that's why my life is just like that. When I hear you saying that, it means you missed one matter at the beginning or you didn't understand the word of God.
Which means, the help that God was making, if it could be outdated, then it will not be until death do us part. If you could outgrow it, it means it will not be until death do us part. If it can become outdated, it means at a point in your life when you have not died, it will no longer be relevant.
But what God did is that he is bringing a woman to your life who will be a continuous and ever fresh, ever growing help to your life as long as you shall be on the earth. So I want to note with you that the value of it is bigger than friends. There are people that were your friends some years ago.
Even if you want to befriend them now, they no longer fit you. Are there some friends like that? You have outgrown them. There are some age mates, playmates that you enjoyed being with when you were going nowhere.
When you were not able to discover your purpose in life. But as soon as God began to help you, you discovered that those people, they could no longer be in your company. You cannot enter their company again.
You have outgrown them. They are now outdated. There are people that before, every time you want to take a decision, when you go to them, they will give you a cancer.
But as you grow on in life, you discover that their cancer, honestly speaking, is an empty cancer. Are there people like that? What have you done to them now? Talk to me, what have you done to them now? You have discarded them because you have outgrown them. Their cancer has become outdated.
Whatever they were offering you is no more your size. The value of your marriage transcends friends. It transcends age mates.
It goes beyond classmates. There are people that you really, really wanted to move with. But as your life began, you suddenly discovered that your path has separated.
And so they were your friend when you were on this path. But as you move into this, they are no more relevant. It's not that you don't like them, but you are no more in the same class.
While I thank God for friends that we have met in life, I thank God for people that we used to move together and do things together. Sometimes we were moving together in those days, hunting for mangoes. When we see cashew on the tree, we jump on it.
And we have our nicknames. And sometimes when I go back to my village, I still see such old friends of mine. Are you hearing me? And they never recognize that I have grown.
It never occurs to them that Brother Bile is no more the Bile they know. So sometimes they are coming and they want to say, Bile! And before they know, maybe some other persons have come and said, excuse me, excuse me! You don't talk like that. They say, you don't talk like what? When we were playing by the river.
Yes! Go and tell him that I'm the one. You see, it is not that we are proud. It is not that we did not play by the riverside.
Are you understanding? It is not that we did not grow up together. But the truth of the matter is that that friendship, that play, that riverside fellowship, what has happened to it now, is now irrelevant. Even if I came down and I want to greet him and spend 5 or 10 or 20 minutes with him, what shall we be talking? Talk to me, what shall we be talking? There is nothing again.
Our world has changed. Our life is no more together. But the woman that God put in your life, there is a woman that is ever relevant, the death will take you from the earth.
So the value of a marriage, of your marriage, it is that it is permanent, it is continuous, it is ever relevant, it will always be current. Everything you will become in life, she will always be available to meet the need for which help God has put her. Which means if you are growing, your marriage also grows with you.
Your marriage also develops as you are developing. So when I say what is the value of my marriage, it is that this is a relationship that grows with me. This is a relationship that I don't need to change because even as I am growing, she is growing.
As I am expanding, she is elastic enough to fit in. As I am seeing the new dimension of the purpose of God for my life, she is one that is conceiving it and able to carry it and bear it with my life. That's what makes that marriage so valuable.
Every other relationship I know, there is none like it. I want you to think very deeply. Is there any other relationship that does not finish with time? Is there any other relationship? I used to have prayer partners.
I used to have people that I prayed with. Brothers and sisters. That when I come, I say, brethren, something is happening.
Let us bombard heaven right now. And they are ready. And they say, we will not agree.
Father, oh Father. To my greatest disappointment, a few years down the line, when I wanted to raise those kind of prayer points, and I was going to call them and say, brothers, sisters, something has happened. Instead of them to jump as they used to jump before.
They say, I believe we thank God. And my husband traveled. And so, I am waiting for him.
So, we will join you in prayer next time. It has become like that. It is true.
20 boys cannot play together for 20 years. Is that the normal English proverb? Or is it my Yoruba proverb? I think my Yoruba proverb said, eh? They don't play together for 20 years. Or can I find out from you, your friends that you used to play around together, play football together 20 years ago, are you still in the same team right now? Eh? Right.
But when God gives you a marriage, a wife, God was planning for you a partner, a relationship for life. One that grows with you. One that whether it is winter or summer, she is there.
The one whether you are climbing a hill or you are descending a valley, you are there together. One that is always available. Your growth is her growth.
Your challenges only challenges the grace of God in her life. She comes forward into the next phase of your development by the grace of God. She is the one that heaven has ordained that throughout your lifetime, as long as both of you shall live, she will remain relevant.
I want you to please mark that. It pains me that there are some people that got married and when God promoted them, then they thought the wife of their youth is no more fitting. It pains me.
I hear them say, my wife can't speak good English. Eh? And when we are going somewhere and I need to appear for a cocktail party, eh, you know, she can't speak English. So, I say, so what? So what? What English are you speaking now? If you are not confused.
Let me tell you, it's English, heavenly language. You know, some things that people have done that bothers me, I look at them and say, what do you mean by that? Honestly speaking, what do you mean by that? And I found myself traveling in different parts of the world and I meet people that are of substance in their own place, they are big men, but because they can't speak English. When I'm speaking, they will say, does that mean they are not intelligent? Talk to me, please.
What did I have to do? If I need to communicate with them, I have to look for someone to help me to interpret. So what is the big deal? Have you not seen presidents of other nations that they want to address a whole world body and they can't speak English and yet, they are the president of their own country. Am I correct? So what is the big deal? The woman that God has brought into your life, we are now going to go to the next issue.
What is the next value of my marriage? I said, first, no alternative to it. Number two, it is ever relevant. It is never outdated.
You never outgrow it. It never becomes irrelevant. It never becomes outmoded.
It's ever current. It grows as you grow. It enlarges as you grow, as enlarge.
There is no space that God wants you to enter that she will not be equipped by God to stand by you. There's a reservoir of grace that each time your need comes, she expands and she fits into that space, if you understand it. Now, what is the number three value of your marriage that I want to ask you to consider as we go on two passages that I know you are familiar with but I would like to repeat it within the space of the time that God will allow me here.
In Proverbs chapter 18 and verse 22. Verse 22, it said, He who finds a wife also findeth a wife. Findeth what? A good thing.
And has obtained favor of the Lord. He who finds a wife, a true wife, finds a good thing and has obtained favor from the Lord. The second verse that I want to read before I draw the issue is chapter 19 and verse 14.
Ours and riches are the inheritance of fathers and a prudent wife is from where? Is from the Lord. A prudent wife, an intelligent wife is from the Lord. Permit me to note something about the value of your marriage.
Your marriage cannot be quantified in terms of houses, in terms of riches. Many, many people have houses but they have no home. Many, many people have money but they are unfortunate because there is no wife.
Many, many persons they have inherited a lot of shares from their father's investment. But they are unfortunate when they have no woman that God had planted in their lives. Permit me to say to you that a prudent wife is priceless.
Some people think that all that matters is money. I pray that God will quickly help you to know that money looks important but is honestly empty and useless. Am I not here? Have I not seen different, different men? Big men? Big men? Big mansions with a troublesome house with a wife that is of something else? And have I not seen their restlessness? They have money to cook any food they want to eat.
They have everything that you could ever imagine but they have no home because their marriage has scattered. So some, if they go to one city, they get a girl there. They go to another city, they get another woman there.
So they build houses here and there like beds. They migrate from one house to another house. When you come close to them you know the emptiness in which they find themselves.
I don't know how to value a wife. I don't know how to value your marriage. Money, riches, houses, properties they mean very little.
In fact, they are of little value. They are of little consequence if God had not given you a wife. How I pray that God will help you to know that the value of your marriage transcends all the properties and all the money that you could ever gather.
Money will never help you to fulfill your destiny. If I want to tell you what money will do to you I know you don't like to hear me because if you love money, you don't like what I want to say. Money will threaten you onto restlessness.
All the people that run after money have you ever seen them resting? Talk to me please. Have you ever met any rich man who has rested? Eh? No. You don't know what is the psychology of money.
Maybe that's why you are running for it. Money Money is a very bad master. Money will never give you rest.
And any time you are resting, money comes and threatens you. Money says, if you don't run after me, I will fly from you. And you will become a poor man and your life will be miserable.
The journey continues. If you suddenly had a contract of let's say, I'm just even saying something like a turnover of 500 million that came to your account. What you don't know about money is that 500 million that people like me or people like you will say that's big money, that's big money.
Wait until you have 500 million. You will see how poor you have become. You don't know.
Because when money is arriving, it comes with a list. A list of what you must buy. Suddenly you will just discover that the things you never saw before.
The 500 million, we bring it along. I say, and you have to do this. And you have to do this.
And you have to get this done. You need to buy this. If you don't buy this, this is what will happen to you.
If you don't get into this, you are not going there. By the time you start listing what money say you must buy and the price, you suddenly discover that your 500 million has finished. And you are saying, ah! How I wish it's something like 700 or 750.
Then I would have been a bit comfortable. So while someone is rejoicing, I say, we thank God for that, you thank God for that. The man that is having the money, did you see him smiling? Did you see that he is in deep calculation? He said, hmm.
How I wish. Why did they reduce that to 500? I wish it is 750. And if it is 750, at least I would have done this, I would have done this, I would have done this, I would have done this, I would have done this.
Supposing something suddenly happens and it became 760 million. Hmm. You will think that you say, praise the Lord.
I got it. You will know that that 260 that has been added has also come with what? An extra list. Some of you are thinking that when you are promoted, your problem will finish.
You are not serious. Solomon, after he has made the experiment with his life, he came to a conclusion. He said, the more money you have, the more the mouths of the foolish people that will consume it.
So he said, there is no, in fact, the Bible said, he said, it is pointless. There is no difference between the rich and the poor. They are all miserable.
I said, ha! This man had an experience. This man had an experience and it pained me that he did not learn this early. It was when he was about to die that he started saying, what is the point? What is my life all about? What am I here for? You won't understand that one of the greatest punishments that happened to Solomon is that he had no correct wife.
Or did you think he had a marriage? Talk to me, did he have a marriage? How many wives did he attempt to marry? Talk to me. 700 wives. 700.
Then 300 concubines. Please, just talk to me, just talk to me very simply. What exactly is that? Eh? That is madness.
At the end, that is what he himself said. I'm not the one who said he was mad. He said, whatever my eyes saw, I did not deny it.
If I saw any girl, I sent for her. He said, I tried this one, I tried that one, I slept with the young, I slept with the old, I slept with this, and at the end of it all, all is vanity. Ah! This was a man that he had known.
He had girls that only came to entertain him. He had singers that were singing 24-7. He said, for pleasure, I tried.
For women, I went to any extent. He tried 1,000 women. You are not hearing me at all.
This 1,000 is not that one he married and left home. They were all there. After all, he has money.
He built houses for each one of them. Each one of them, he gave them palaces. So I was looking at a foolish, useless man.
He was supposed to be wise, but his wisdom did not help him. If God did not give you a correct wife, even your wisdom would not help you. I was wondering how he was now going from one palace to another palace to another palace to another palace.
If he was to service all those women, 1,000 women, how many did he sleep with per day? That's the average of three. So he would go to this house, he would eat breakfast in this house, he would eat lunch in that one, he would eat this one here, and he has to do that every day. But because he was not able to, some people are just waiting and saying, any day he mistakenly comes here, we will beat him with food, so that he will come back again.
What is the meaning of that? Can I ask you? Since he did not have a correct marriage, what do you think happened to him before he died? Talk to me. What happened to Solomon? Do you remember that ever before he was going to die, everything scattered? Only God. In fact, everything would have finished.
It was because God had respect for David, the covenant he made with David, and said, I will not allow the lineage of David not to be on the throne. That was the only reason. When they took away ten tribes, God just said, let me just give two, because of David.
His own son, the son of the wisest man on earth, has no wisdom. Why? He had no wife that could build a house for him. Whoso finds a wife, finds what? And he has obtained favor, favor from God.
A prudent wife is from the Lord. How I pray that you won't leave without beginning to place value, value on your marriage. Value.
That is why you can't exchange your marriage for money, if you are wise. You can't say, there is one job that is taking you abroad, and you are going, and your wife is left here. And when you get there, you become a prey, a prey to vultures.
You are the one who caught those women you saw, women. What did I call them? Vultures, vultures. If you see their nose, very long like that, you see how their fingernails, I wonder why a normal human being is going with a fingernail of a hawk.
Don't you see their fingernail? They are hawks. Vulture, vulture. Wearing his gaiter and blouse.
You will think they love you. It is your meat they are planning to pluck and tear. Vulture.
Samson was a great man, Abbie, but he was not lucky to have a correct wife. What amounted to his life? Talk to me, what amounted to his life? Finished. Whoso finds a wife, finds a good thing and has obtained favor, favor from the Lord, favor, favor.
Houses, riches, you can inherit that from your father, but a prudent wife who will help your life is from the Lord. I want to now note with you that when God wants a man to last and he desires that he will fulfill his destiny on us and he will carry out his God-given assignment without fail, God says it's not good for him to be alone, I will make for him a hell. And that hell is not money, that hell is not contract, that hell is not a car, that hell is not a big house.
What is the hell? The woman. I feel deep in my spirit that if God will help you to recognize that of all your treasure in life, your marriage is number one treasure and I beg you, do all that lies within your power from tonight to do what? To build it, to preserve it, to honor it, to grow with it, pay all you can pay to maintain your marriage because that is the portion that God has given you in the land of the living. Let me say this finally before I move to the next issue.
I want to say to you sir, for the marriage that God has given you as a woman, for the marriage that God has brought you into as a man, it surpasses all other incomes that you could never make. Every other income you make, if God has not helped you with your own marriage, all those income, they are for strangers. So for me to hear you say, business, business, business, business is what has not allowed you to concentrate on your marriage.
I was going to say to you but I don't want to be rude. I was going to say you are doing a very bad business. Where will you eat it? Where are you carrying it to? Those charlatans that are singing around you, what did I call them please? Vultures, vultures, vultures, vultures.
In recent times, I have discovered that even the people that are doing decoration, I don't know their name now because it has now got some more professional name. My wife, you will know their name now. Sometime when somebody wants to wed, the bride, those things that we normally did and you just get some sisters or some old women to dress up the bride, there are contractors now.
Contractor. By the time they panel beat your face and put all kind of, I don't know what they put. Sometime your face will just change as if you are now, as if you are now, I saw one the other day, I didn't know, I said, you are looking like Eire, Eire.
You know, what is Eire in English now? You see, you see, you see in Yoruba land, there are these idols that are carved. They are carved. Their eyes, so that you can know there is Eire there, they will paint it with a different color, like this.
So I just saw it. I forgot that she is a girl. I said, this is a demon, this is a demon.
My wife said, no, no, no, she is not. I said, how did she become like this? So I said, how did you become like this? Only for me to discover, there are professionals. They don't collect 5,000 Naira.
Wow. That alone could be about 100,000, 150. And then, your fingernails, I think they must add something more, so the thing will come out shabolo, like that of, like that of an egg.
May God not allow you to fall into such hands. When Solomon was describing them, that's why, you know, for quite a while now, I am just looking at the life of Solomon. I'm looking at his proverbs.
I am now looking at his Ecclesiastes. And I'm overwhelmed, how he said, anybody that God loves must not go to the house of that strange woman. He said, his house leads to where? To hell.
Solomon had been there before. That's why he could give such a vivid description. He said, when the young man is passing, this woman is standing out with her lips dripping, dripping.
And I don't know whether you don't see them. How a girl, we, after everything, she will now go and put something on her lips that is like as if water is dropping, dripping like this. And then the eye is a different color.
The eyelid is a different color. The cheek is a different color. And then she's standing like this.
I said, hey, this is a grave. This is a grave passing in your presence. If you are not satisfied with the marriage that God has given you, money, and any other attraction, they only lead you onto the grave.
So Solomon, having experienced, he experienced a lot. Where did he not get a wife from? What did he not try with his life? What kind of assorted drink did he not drink? Strange wives. They finished him.
And before you know it, a very wise man became foolish. He died a poor death. And it was not 10 years.
Everything he built was destroyed. And I can remember when Solomon was lamenting. He lamented and lamented and said one day in his book, he said, there's another thing that has pained me.
And I was wanting to know what is it that has pained him. He said there was a man who labored and labored and labored and labored. He goes from land to sea, from sea to land, everywhere, gathering.
He labored to put everything together. And when he dies, he does not even know who will eat it. He said, someone that is foolish, will just squander everything he put together.
And he cannot come back and say, why are you spending all that I gathered? He said, Kai, even that also is madness. I was just looking at a man who was highly enterprising, but did not take time to build his marriage. I want to say to you that the value of your marriage supersedes every other income.
Your marriage supersedes in value more than every other investment. Your marriage in terms of value is incomparable with riches. I want to pray that the Holy Spirit will particularly help you to treasure your marriage, to treasure the woman that God has brought into your life.
The next thing I want to show you before I move, Proverbs 31, which I know you always have read, but permit me to now read it. I want you to follow me to read it. I'm still dealing with the value of a wife.
We are told that what is reported in Proverbs 31 was the words of King Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. I'm dealing with the value, the value of your marriage, and I'm dealing with the value of having a wife who is the mother of your children. And I'm touching here.
Here was a young man that has become a king. They call him King Lemuel. And look at what his mother taught him.
I want all of you to follow me now. What's my son? And what's the son of my womb? And what's the son of my vows? Give not your strength unto women, nor your ways to that which destroyed kings. O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes strong drink.
Lest they drink and forget the law and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. Give strong drink to him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of weary or heavy hearts. Let him drink and forget his poverty and remember his mystery no more.
Open your mouth for the dome in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open your mouth. She now went on to say, who can find a virtuous woman? What did she say about a virtuous woman? Her price is far above what? Rubies.
The heart of her husband does safely trust in her so that he shall have no need for spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She sicketh wool and flax and walks willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchant ships she brings her food from afar. You can read all of that but I just want to end at that point. It said, and I want you to follow me to read.
In verse 23, what did they say? Her husband is what? Is known where? In the gates where he is seated among the elders of the land. Wives, I want you to hear me. In the purpose of God, God wants me to tell you even if your husband has not been able to tell you that your price is more than rubies.
Your price is more than rubies. I want you to hear me because it's important. If you don't know your value you might miscarry yourself.
If you don't know that God has put something in you and there's a purpose for it. There's a capacity in every wife here that must be developed. There is something in every woman waiting to be developed.
And now I wish I would talk to my brothers who are husbands here. Whatever investment you make into your wife is an investment into your life. Praise the Lord.
Every time you did anything to improve, to invest on your wife whom have you invested in? I'm not hearing you very well. You have invested only in yourself. You are only sowing seed where you will get good results.
If any man hates his wife who has he hated? He has hated himself and hated his destiny and has hated his future. If you take two years to keep marriage with the woman that God gave you to marry you have taken two years to keep marriage with your destiny. You are not with me again.
Whenever I see a man I don't like I say, you don't know what you are doing. You are keeping marriage with your progress. You are fighting your future.
You are digging the roots of your future. You are digging it by yourself and turning it down. How far will you go with that? Is that this woman whom God has so endowed her husband is nowhere in the gates.
And I was praying that all wives sitting here you will know that God has brought you into your husband's life to take him to where? To the gates. Until your husband begins to sit among the elders among the rulers among those who are exercising dominion on the earth your labor is not finished yet. It doesn't matter how he is when you married him.
God saw a future in him that is needing help to actualize. And that's why God is saying I'm taking you there. You are going to pray with me and say God this man that you brought me into his life is fit for the gates.
And I will give myself no rest until he is there. And the husband that God has endowed with a wife you will see what God wants you to note about your wife. He said many daughters have done virtuous things verse 29 but verse 30 is where I'm going but thou exaltest them all faithful is what is deceitful and beauty is what is vain but a woman that fears the Lord she shall be praised.
How I pray that you will begin to recognize the value of your marriage. The Holy Spirit may now begin to show us how to maximize this valuable treasure that God has given you. How to make the most of it I cannot see you leaving this place unless than what heaven planned for you.
We were somewhere and we were given testimonies of how God has helped us all these several years of our marriage. And I was telling the brothers who will normally come and congratulate me we thank God for you, we thank God for your ministry we thank God for this. I had to tell them, I said you don't know you don't know where to go.
That is where they were cooking me. How can I count the number of prayers that was going on my head. How they were, she was so meticulous and I kept saying oh God if you don't intend something to come out of my life why would you bring this kind of person here.
And this afternoon I was praying again I said oh God the value of my marriage demands that I must not be less than what heaven ordained me to be. And I'm praying apart from all that God will begin to help us to deal with in terms of making the most of it. He said two are better than one.
They have good reward for their labor. But I'm keeping that aside until we come by the grace of God to looking at how to make the most. How do I make the most of this valuable thing that God has put in my life.
How can our two be better than one. How will it be that because of this woman that God has injected into my life I become unconquerable by the forces of darkness because a three fold cord the Bible said cannot be easily broken. How am I going to engage and maximize this when the Bible says if two of you shall agree as touching anything they will ask on earth it shall be done.
And can you imagine when he said two two of you, which two, which two is that? Talk to me, which two is that? The husband and wife. I don't, there's no time for me to tell you personal stories and testimonies of what two, two two of us when we agree as touching anything we decide to ask on earth. I cannot be explaining to you what it has done but my biggest cry is that but I have not even done it enough.
I have not even done it enough. The kind of profit that heaven must make because he gave me one that I could agree with over any matter and it will happen just like that. How do I make the most of that? But the first thing I press upon you tonight if God has given you such a valuable treasure in marriage what do I want to say to you? Don't make it a trash.
Don't make it what? A trash. If God has planted such an invaluable treasure by giving you a wife, a husband, a marriage do not let any man trample upon it for you. And if God has looked upon you with favour and decided to release to you your marriage I want to inform you whatever turbulence you have gone through I cannot see it again.
That turbulence will finish here in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Whatever wine seems to have become watery it is here to inject something fresh into your relationship.
God will do it. I just want to say to you that that which God saw and he told himself it's not good for you to be alone and he said I will make it help and could it not be the reason why the devil is so jealous that he wants to make sure you don't make the most of that marriage. Could that not be why Satan is so so jittery whenever he sees a husband and wife working in agreement he said these two I can't stop them they are two unstoppable men and women.
Amen. This is a team that I cannot tear apart. When I come back to say ok how do I maximise it? Don't let it be dormant.
Don't let it be wasted. Don't let it be treated as if there is nothing there is something there. Even though you have not yet known how to mine it how to dig it out how to get all of it but I want to tell you there is something there which must not be lost.
But there is an urgent prayer to pray just one urgent prayer and I feel we should pray it sincerely since God has been speaking God has been dealing with us that there is a treasure that must not become a trash and the urgent prayer I want you to pray with me is that that which sought or is seeking to undermine your matrimony even if you gave it a space even if you mistakenly, unconsciously or carelessly gave it a space and it seemed to have found a foothold God's intention is that you are going to spring forth into a new level in the name of Jesus Christ. So we are going to deliberately pray that could it be that out of whatever happened you have trashed you have trampled you have dishonored your marriage you have walked away as if you could walk away you have behaved as a man who is in honor but does not know it and you have behaved as if you have no sense you have allowed sin to come in between the two of you you have permitted a kind of quiet issue that began to threaten your matrimony because you seem not to know the value of it when Bratewase was speaking about the third party he said one of the things that the third party does is to sneak in between and begin to blackmail the other to the other or to make you hide from your own bones and making a stranger your close confidant all such that has happened it is urgently required that we must pray I said there are two things that stops God from answering a man's prayer the first is sin he said if I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not do what? hear me Isaiah 59 said your sin has turned his eyes away from you but the second thing that makes God not to answer prayer he said another thing you do is this you flood the Lord's altar with tears and you ask why is God not responding to your cry he said because I'm a witness to you and your wife the one that you married and you promised to keep you have broken your vow you have not honoured her, you have treated her harshly you have been treacherous you have used violence you have used withdrawal you have done things that pained and tore her apart and there are things you are keeping for her never to see or to know and God is saying I'm a witness I'm a witness that's why I am reluctant in advancing you that's why you are stagnant where you have been it is not a demon that is holding you it is your matrimony your prophet tells you that it is your mother-in-law somewhere so that you can come back and fight more of your wife they are only confusing you it is your matrimony that has stagnated you and the Lord is asking me to give you space let us pack out every rubbish every matter that stands between the two of you let us lay it on this altar and say God I didn't know it's my enemy that is painting my wife so black that is making me feel my husband is not serious, not trustworthy and I see you doing like this, doing like this sometimes you are hiding behind the children sometimes I hear someone say I'm there because of my children you even call your children aside and say look I don't mind your dad it's because of you I'm here maybe you think that when your marriage has scattered the children will take care of you, you are wasting your time maybe you don't know that those children they are passengers they will soon drop may you not be a homeless mother-in-law may you not make yourself a nuisance this is the bone of your own bones I sense there is an urgent prayer that we must pray together and we don't have time to stretch it I just want someone to say Lord you know me you know what has happened it's possible that in the course of time you have gone to unzip yourself before a strange girl, a strange woman you have been so clever to neatly hide it but it is your covenant that has been threatened but God is saying bring it, let's bury it in this meeting there are things that you went into and because how explosive it appears you kept it neatly from your husband for some time now for this 2-3 years and there is an estrangement, you are estranged from yourselves you are together but you are tenants now something is drying God is saying let's bury it here because God is going to pour a new wine into your bottles in the name of Jesus Christ God is saying let me settle that matter here maybe you did something brother Tewase was talking about what happened to Aga and a man of God Abraham a man of God after 10 years that he left his father, he left his mother he left his land to a land that God said it would be 10 years of obeying God 10 years of consecration 10 years, 10 years he succumbed and took his house girl you know sometimes there are certain things that you cannot talk about sleeping with his house girl and once the house girl noticed that now he is pregnant the madam of the house became you know dispersed and is it not happening that suddenly that girl is doing libi libi against your wife because what is it that your wife is hiding that she has not seen when your wife stand and say do this you say madam please don't worry me and while she is acting with your wife when you come back you call her and you say sissy, sissy what's the matter I don't even know for mommy I don't know why mommy is troubling somebody here and he said you to shout on her keep your mouth shut that's my wife, that's the bone of my bone you lost that authority you gave it the other night then you went to your wife let us not be harsh on this girl she is also a daughter of somebody you know and the way you are always quarreling with her we are Christians are you a Christian are you a Christian that thing has happened it's difficult to talk about but we must bury it because your marriage is not temporary your marriage will not be outdated your marriage is here for the time you will be on earth why wouldn't we settle it well it is possible that in those days of ignorance the devil took advantage you even violated your junior sister-in-law and since that time that girl has grown wings and you see her quarreling with her senior sister violently because she is sharing the same man my brother God is asking me to challenge that so that we can bury it we can finish it and pray through it sister, what offense has your husband done that you went that way you yourself have gone out somewhere he doesn't care for me there is this man that always comes back with loaves of bread so your price is no more than a loaf of bread just think about it think about what you fell for you fell for a loaf of bread he said the way he greets me how does he greet you how did a wicked man greet you to the extent that your life, your marriage you are doing something that you will never be bold to correct your daughter tomorrow you are touching something that when your daughter will do it you want to talk about something that will hold your throat I say, what of you I wish we will say to God this matrimony that has come under threat you will help us with it this third party that came in between you will deal with it for us or are you the one who went to hear wrong teaching every time, every time the demon is your mother-in-law every time the witch is your sister-in-law and I see you when you are going, hey, hey mama hey, hey, what, what and mama say, ah, ah what have I done say, go and your husband is sitting there sulking say, that's my mother that's the woman that paid my school fees that's the woman that suffered for me and he say, darling, can't you help me with my mother I say, no! don't want witches here sister it's just that I don't like to call you a bad name you are the witch you are that witch that need to be delivered if you are not a witch don't you know the bible said hatred is worse than witchcraft he say, whosoever hated a brother is a murderer this night it's urgent that the value that God has placed on your marriage don't make it a trash don't give the devil that unnecessary opportunity to trample upon it your marriage is great as far as I can see all that the devil is doing to scatter it is a lie stop cooperating with him so I'm going to pray here now and say, God move in our midst these couples must rise with a fresh power their destiny is at the gates they will not die in the wilderness your marriage is meant to take you to the highest you are not going to end as a mediocre your marriage is to possession you with a crown on your head it will not put shame on your face we are going to pray now and this prayer if husband and wife says, look we have struggled with ourselves for too long let that matter end here but if you think, ah let me first go and pour it before God if God will have mercy on me he will show how we can handle it together with my husband please feel free to do it wives, feel free to do it husbands, feel free to do it but if the Holy Spirit is saying the two of you needed help I don't mind if you will come before God together and say, Lord do a new thing in our lives do something new with our hearts visit our home and reset it where you want it to be young, middle age even old God is willing to bring complete healing complete restoration and all that stagnated your prayer God is going to remove it here and begin to release you onto where you truly belong thank you, Father thank you for being gracious to us thank you for coming the way you have come thank you for what you want to do with us now Father, as your children will be rising on their feet to pray please undertake for us those who fear I can see the treasure of my marriage and they want to hold it tightly and they are saying, Lord it will not drop out of my hand the enemy will not scatter this I didn't see it like that but now, Lord, I see it it will not get lost you will help them in the name of Jesus those, O God, who are bold before you to say, Lord just as I am nothing to hide again let this corpus retreat be the renewal of that covenant that the devil is trying to break I have promoted money beyond I have allowed business to take over and strange people have come in between hawks and vultures they are beginning to pick the freshness of my life Lord, please walk about in this meeting and do your work bring about your miracle change what you must change for us bring healing to where there has been a damage release the grace that can return us to where you want us to be thank you will you stand on your feet this will be your own turn to pray will you please stretch forth your heart stretch forth your hand to God if you want to hold your wife or your husband to say this treasure will not become a trash in our hand this treasure will not lie dormant we didn't know about it or maybe I just saw it superficially I didn't appreciate it sufficiently but this is what you have done O God I am standing together I am asking you renew it for us renew our matrimony thank you thank you Lord while you are praying that particular weakness that is ravaging your heart privately that particular addiction that is keeping you estranged from your own bone that particular thing that strange connection that has threatened your matrimony before God with whom we can hide nothing I want you to quietly stand where you are and stretch that right hand to God and say Lord even though I wish nothing like this has happened but it did I want you Lord to cleanse me the Lord bless you I want you to do a new thing for me I want you to walk a walk in my heart the things that I could not boldly tell my wife I want you to help me out of it that damage that came to my heart my husband did not know that my heart had departed Father I want you to heal me I want you to cleanse me I want you to forgive me I want you to change my story thank you my friend thank you my brother thank you my dear sister O my God Lord walk in this meeting sometimes church pastors they've tried to speak into your situation but they couldn't get to the root of it God is saying here you are let me settle it for you as you raise that hand and say Lord I can't go unless this is buried here I must lay it down here I can't keep it any longer I want heaven to cleanse me and help us I want this my marriage to be reset on the pedestal of grace where are you? if you lift that hand before God and if you meant it I want you to walk out here with me and let's settle it with God and say God maybe they said committee upon committee they couldn't do it but heaven is dealing with it thank you my dear just walk out thank you just come along just come along and say God we can't hide it again this issue is enough enough is enough O God it must finish God bless you God bless you please lift up those two hands to God as I pray now I talk to God on your behalf I speak to God who answers prayer if he did not want to answer our prayer he won't bring you here God doesn't waste people's time it's because there's a future that God is interested in Father look at our hands lifted we came with empty hands we came with wounded hands wounded hearts perforated hearts affection that has been infected we came O God just as we are you said this is an urgent matter that must be dealt with we are asking you Father now we have come we have come to you who alone can restore step into our case in the name of Jesus Father particularly that thing that stood in between your men and women that matter that has cast as passion doubt and darkness upon the heart that matter that looked no matter where we went no matter how we tried it looked unresolvable Father dissolve it in the name of Jesus we want to agree together that each of these couples they are coupling for greatness the things you intend to do with their lives shall come to pass any family trouble that they have had we now stand to intercede Lord as you came back to Adam and Eve and you clothed them please clothe their nakedness tonight the blood you shed cover them let your blood cover them we will see the miracles thank you Lord in Jesus Christ name we have prayed Amen
