Ron Owens

Ron Owens (N/A–) is a Canadian-born preacher, author, and musician dedicated to Christian ministry and worship. Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, to missionary parents, he spent his early years in eastern Canada and later moved to Switzerland as a teenager. Initially an athlete excelling in ice hockey and track, Owens shifted his focus to faith and music, studying at a Bible college in the U.S. and taking voice lessons at the Eastman School of Music, where he met his wife, Patricia. Together, they formed a ministry team, blending preaching, teaching, and music, and have traveled globally for nearly 50 years, serving churches, conferences, and seminaries. Owens served as an associate to Henry Blackaby at the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board and as a worship consultant for the International Mission Board. His writing includes biographies like Ron Dunn: His Life and Mission, worship-focused books, and children’s stories, while his musical works, such as Paid in Full and The Christmas Lamb, have been performed internationally, including in collaboration with the Billy Graham Association. Married to Patricia, with whom he has a son, Jeff, and two grandsons, Owens continues to share the gospel through his multifaceted ministry.
