Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
Okay, I prayed to the Lord that you hadn't any problem with healing being in the Word of God. Now all you have to do is just get in on it. And we're going to learn, I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, we haven't learned all there is about healing. You see what I'm getting out of my pocket, don't you? All right? Well, let's pray. I'll tell you what, let's just pray. I want you just to pray. I want you just to pray for a repentant heart, a godly repentance, folks. That's where we're all supposed to be living and walking. I want you to pray for this service, pray for me. Praise your name, Lord. Father, in the name of Jesus, I just ask you for liberty and freedom. Lord, I ask for more anointing. Continually more. That you only receive glory, your word to be anointing. And now, Lord, we receive your word, we give you all the glory, we thank you for your grace. Because it's only your grace that we can see or understand anything. And now, with authority of word, I receive the grace, the word, and the blood. And I remove all oppression. Any ground given through words is canceled. And unbelief and doubt are removed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. All the works of distraction and confusion and all the works of darkness, of skepticism, and all these works now are removed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your ground is canceled. All the works of darkness that are signed against Seminar are removed in Jesus' name. And now, Lord, I speak your blessings, peace, grace, love, healing, and liberty in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, amen. All right. You know, today we act like there's no sin problem in the church, don't we? Boy, let's don't do that. Don't you ever act like, don't you ever start putting that stuff on me and having a sin problem. So why teach repentance and holiness? Ain't no sin problem there. Why teach overcoming the world, the flesh, and the devil? See, the church is wise in its own eyes. Men of science have taught us, you know, that sin doesn't exist. It's not a sin problem. You've got a gland problem. You don't have a sin problem. You have a social problem. You don't have a sin problem. You've got a mental problem. See, the church today doesn't have to be responsible for anything. Ain't nothing bad. Just sick. Hang in there. You have no sin problem. Just keep walking in your stubbornness. As we continue to be a good Methodist, be a good Pentecostal, be a good Baptist, be a good charismatic, I'm going to tell you something. Behind these social problems, these mental problems, and these gland problems, and sin, Satan is hiding. The powers of darkness hide behind. They're behind every bit of it. We're going to look at deliverance and healing now, healing some more, and we're going to see some more about this healing, and it's going to become clearer to you. First, I want you to know that in the covenant, you know the Lord has said, if you eat this bread, you have eternal life. Is that right? The bread is covenant. Do you know what that bread is? That bread is Jesus. That bread is the Word. He and the Word are the same. And so, we won't turn there, but in 1 Corinthians 10, there's one bread, and we who are the children are one body, and we all take of the bread, and so that's why, look here, this is called the children's bread. The children is the only one that gets to eat that, because it's the children's bread. The bread is the Word, Jesus. The bread is covenant. The bread is healing. The bread is salvation. This bread is love. This bread is deliverance. Every need the children have, this is the bread for them. It's the children's bread, healing, deliverance of the children's bread. Now, let me ask you something. What's a dog? A dog is someone not believing the Word of God. They are outside the covenant of God. Now, with that in mind, I want you to look at a statement that Jesus made over in Mark 7, please. In Mark 7. Mark 7. We know a dog is outside, unbelieving, outside the Word of God, and healing, deliverance, salvation, all these things are children's bread. Is that correct? Now, in Mark 7, verse 25, we see a woman who comes to Jesus and she only asks one thing. She wants deliverance for her daughter. But after hearing a hymn, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came and what'd she do? Now, these things are hidden in the Word. She worshiped the Lord. Worship is a very important thing for the Lord. And now the woman was a Gentile. What does that mean? She's automatically, I mean, at this time she's outside the covenant of God. She is considered a dog. Is that correct? Of the Syrophoenician race, and she kept asking. I want you to mark kept asking. Because she asked and asked and asked and asked, she had to keep asking Jesus one thing. Cast the demon out of her daughter. Cast that demon out of her daughter. And he was saying, now Mark, he was saying, because he kept saying and saying and saying to her, he said to her finally, now watch very closely. See, she wasn't in the covenant. He said, let the who be satisfied. Oh, let the children be satisfied first, for it's not good to take the what? What do you call deliverance? Don't take the children's bread and throw it to who? Do you see that? Folks, you don't take the children's bread. The children's bread is not for people outside the covenant of God. Do you understand that? A Gentile, she is a dog. And it's not for dogs. A dog is considered unbeliever. We read that over in Philippians 3. Beware of dogs, unbelieving in the word of God. But listen very closely. Are you having any problem with that? See, we always thought it was for people in Africa. Jesus is so busy just setting people free. That's not in covenant with him. I'd like you to show me where that is sometime. Because that's when you begin getting free, when you get in covenant with him. So you can use this word and possess the land. So, she goes on right there. And watch what she said. But she answered and said to him, Yes, Lord, but even the dogs on the table feed on the what? Children's crumb. Said, Lord, can I just have a crumb of that bread off of the table? The table is considered a covenant. Can I get a crumb off the table, the covenant of the Lord, just to get that demon out of my daughter? Give me a crumb off that table. That's all she wanted. Jesus liked that kind of talk. And he said to her, Because you answer, or because of this answer, this answer, go your way. The demon's gone out of your daughter. Is that good? Now, folks, do you know who this bread is for? This bread is not for people whose hearts are in covenant with Satan. Do you understand that? But see, she worshipped and she asked for mercy and grace. Give me a crumb of the children's bread to get this demon out of my daughter. Now, what did Jesus call deliverance of the demon right here? The children's bread. We always thought that deliverance was for somebody else because they can't get by sustained grace, right? You got to think of somebody else. You got to do something else if you're not dealing with it. Now, let me just tell you something very important. I want you to listen to me. The people of that day knew and recognized demons. You notice this woman didn't come to Jesus and say, Jesus, I just brought this, my daughter to you. I'd like to check her out, see if she's got one. No. Why did she say that? Everybody said, and they brought them there, said, you've got demons, you've got demons. Everybody knew what demons was because the demons were not in hiding. The demons were not in hiding simply because until Jesus came, that kind of authority was not existing. And so when Jesus came, the powers of darkness had to go into hiding. And the greatest ministry to you is to make you think they do not exist. If they make you know that they don't exist, they come and go as they like. They keep you deceived that they don't exist. But now, today, if you want to see a manifestation in some of the church, they won't manifest and expose themselves like you know, and they will when you start sometimes, you know, preaching the word and so forth like that. They won't manifest themselves because if they want to manifest themselves, they may not have to be a person in there and cast that thing out, but they'll find somebody that can, and they come and cast that thing out, and everybody starts reading their Bibles. And I'm telling you what, this thing, a demon behind every bush, intimidating, if you knew how bad this situation really was by the powers of darkness and what control they have over people and what control they've been having in your own family, you'd tremble. You would absolutely tremble. And then you'd start learning something about the judgment and the fear of God. Hardly. All right, I want you to turn with me to Matthew 12. Matthew 12. Now, folks, I want you to understand that everything I've been talking to you about these three days is good news. These things are good. Now, our traditions, they program a bad news. I'm telling these things are good news. When you understand these things, you have authority in them when you receive them. But if you're taught how to believe them, you won't walk in them. Now, let's look in verse 43. Twelve, verse 43. Now, when the demon, the unclean spirit goes out of a man. Now, I want you to mark man. I mean, you're going to find out this man right here is a house. Have I been calling this a house? You know the foundation that told you this has a foundation under it? We look to two men. All right, the demon goes out of a man. It passes through waterless places. That means dry places. That's dry places. And it's seeking rest, and it does not find it. It loves to live in a house, kind of like you do. And it's looking for a place to where it can be a manifestation of Satan, looking for a house to move into. Then it says, you know what I'm going to do? It's being cast out. I'll return to what? Now, the man was his house. You see that? If you want to draw a line from it, you can. From which I came. I'm going to return to my house which I came. And when it comes, it finds it unoccupied. It finds it swept and put in order. And then it goes, and it takes along with it seven other spirits, more wicked than itself. And they go in and live there. And the last day of that man becomes worse than the first. That's the way it also be with this evil generation. Now, folks, let me ask you something. Was the demon left, was cast out of the man? And then it comes back and it found the house empty, didn't it? And it moved back in and took seven more, right? That seven more was a curse. The seven more was a curse because the house, nothing was put in the house. What would you put in the house when the demon goes out? You put the word and the spirit of God. Now, let me ask you something. How can lost folks do that? No one's going to get deliverance except those coming to Jesus or just his sovereign mercy or grace that he just might do, like that woman, Gentile woman. So you only put in there the spirit and the word. Now, let's turn this around and look at if Jesus would come along and he's setting them free outside the church, then they would automatically become seven times worse because people outside the family of God cannot put nothing there. So this demon, when he even goes out, he just automatically becomes seven times worse. Are you seeing who the ministry of the demons is for? See, that's been perverted. We've been told it's the other way around. They need deliverance over in Africa. Demons wouldn't get around our kind of people. At least they're over across the tracks. So, turn to Galatians 3. Galatians 3. Now, I had mentioned that we're Abrahams all spring. I want you to just see it in a word. You're Abraham's son. You're Abraham's daughter. You are Abraham's seed. Do you understand that? If Jesus Christ is your Lord. Now, look with me there, please, in verse 26. 326. For you are all sons of God through what? Your faith in Jesus Christ. For all of you baptized into Christ help clothe yourself with Christ. Does that sound like people that belong to Jesus? Let's look in 29. And if you belong to Christ, then you're what? You're Abraham's all spring. Heirs according to the prophet. You're Abraham's son or you're Abraham's daughter. You're Abraham's seed. Is that correct? Please turn me to Luke 13, please. Luke 13. Luke 13. Well, now, the Lord is teaching in the synagogue. And it's on the Sabbath, isn't it? Is he the Lord of the Sabbath? That's all. Jesus is just the Lord of the Sabbath. Now, let's look in verse 11. And behold, there was a woman who for 18 years had a what? A sickness that was caused by what? Back then, they caused sicknesses. Demons caused sickness, didn't they? Have you ever seen all the different kind of demons that's cast out infirmities and so forth through the work? You notice that? Where'd they all go? When did the demons all leave? Don't you know they're not blessings when they bring that to you? But this woman has a sickness and it's caused by a demon. Now, I've already mentioned this to you and you see it over and over. And she was bent double and could not straighten up at all. Now, can't you just see her? And you've seen absolutely one demon had this woman absolutely bent double. Now, that's torment. And I want you to know that's not good. Now, in verse 12. Now, there's something very interesting happening. Jesus, when Jesus, he saw her, he what? He called her over. Now, look at me. You've got to see this. Please look at me. And then we're going to go to the other. When he saw her, he, this woman, never says anything in his Bible. There's something about this woman that you need to know. Because Jesus saw her bent double. This woman's not supposed to be bent double. And Jesus said, Come here now. She never opened her mouth. And so, then he called her over. And then, look what happened. And when Jesus saw her, he called her over and he said to her, Woman, you are healed. Freed. You're freed from your sickness. Now, you never have a doctor tell you that, do you? So, you're freed from your sickness, don't you? You see the difference in the spiritual and the natural? Now, you know we just don't use that terminology a whole lot. You just got freed from your sickness. You're freed. No, he called her over. And if you notice right there, 13, he laid his hands upon her. There he is again, laying hands on folks. And it worked. He laid his hands upon her and immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God. Now, look at me. Jesus goes into a synagogue. He sees a woman absolutely bent double. He calls her over. He lays hands on her. And she said, Woman, you're freed from this sickness. This demon right here has had you bent double for how many years? For 18 years. This thing that had her bent double, you're freed from it. And then immediately, can't you just see her? And all that torment for 18 years. And she all of a sudden, she was made erect. And she said, Glory be to God forevermore. I want to ask you something. Is that good? Over here. Is that good? That's good. She got set free from that demon, isn't it? But it wasn't good to this synagogue church official here in verse 14. And this church official was what? Indignant because Jesus had healed on the what? Well, you know what Jesus did? Look at me again. Let's just talk about it. Okay. We're going to look at all of it. What Jesus did, he broke a tradition. Do you know what this church official was saying in his heart? Now, Jesus, you leave these folks that's bent double and the demons in them alone. Now, you stop that. You're hurting our religion. Now, see, that's what happened there. So, Jesus trying to please them in 15. The Lord actually said, You hypocrites. Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him? And this woman of what? Of what? Oh, it's the daughter of Abraham. Hey, look at me. Well, let's look there first. He said it twice. As she is. Of course, you missed it. He said, She's the daughter of Abraham. He said it twice. As she is. Daughter of Abraham. She's in covenant. Now, do you see why he said, Come here, daughter of Abraham. That thing's not supposed to be in you. Huh? Glory. That's good. I tell you, we're getting free, aren't we? You know the truth and the truth of what? Don't stop and throw a fit. Amen. Now, Pharisees don't understand that. He'll throw in a fit over that. That's something to get tore up about. It's just God. And this woman, the daughter of Abraham, is, As she is, whom who is bound for 18 years? Oh, Satan is bound for 18 years? Oh, I thought I read up there that a demon had her bound. And it says Satan has her bound. Right? Now, when I say that demons and Satan are synonymous, Are you seeing what I'm saying? When you're talking about one, you're talking about the other. When you see them first, meet her five. You know, particularly when you're reading the King James, It always says it's devil, devil, devil, devil. Devil or devils. And see in your mind, you just think, It prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. And you just see Satan. He might get in my way. The demons are right there all the time to get around in your life. But see, if a demon can use something to put a little label on you, About a demon behind every bush, You say, Lord, I can't deal with that. I can't deal with that part of the Scripture Because it's making my reputation and my ministry look bad Because they say I see what, you know, Paul had done that. Can't you just see Paul now? I've got to stop writing this Bible, God. It's making my image and ministry look bad. They're making me look bad by saying I see a demon behind every bush. Okay. You know what I mean, don't you? All right. And this woman, the daughter of Abraham, As she is whom Satan has bound for eighteen long hours, Should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day, you hypocrites. Verse 17. And as he said this, all his opponents were being what? Hey, there's going to be a lot of humiliation ahead, folks. Their folly is going to be obvious to all. This is God. I mean, it's no longer going to be when a chain gang starts marching in, brother. We're getting free. So they were all humiliated, weren't they? Turn to Luke 19. Luke 19, please. I'm telling you what's true. I've seen people hear a tambourine, they'd think he'd thrown a rattlesnake under them. You want to be honest with you? I used to be about half that way. Oh, my. Well, praise the Lord. Boy, I wish we had another day we'd get Jesse to sing for us right now. He has some more good. You know what he does when we're fixing to eat or something like that? He'll start playing us a song. He can't help it. I mean, they just got to come. He's just full of this. Kind of like the spirit of God. He just has to sing. And he just goes, can we sing? So we just keep singing, don't we, Jesse? All right, in Luke 19, verse 5. And when Jesus... All right, let's start. I want to just tell you, this is Zacchaeus. He was a tax collector. He was rich. And he wanted to see Jesus. And he's real small. And he climbed up a sycamore tree so he could get a good look at Jesus as he's coming by. Okay? And we start in verse 5. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down for today. I must stay at your house. I mean, and that's some kind of surprise for old Zacchaeus. So this little short man, he hurried and he came down and he received Jesus' letter. Now, I'm telling you what, Jesus liked that. And when they saw it, they are always around, they begin to grumble. They grumble saying, he's going to be the guest of a man who is a what? He's going to be the guest of a man who is a sinner. Now, they're all around. Now, look at me. I want you to know that everybody knew that Zacchaeus was a sinner. Everybody knew he was a sinner. But there's something that happened to Zacchaeus. Old Zacchaeus immediately got saved. Look in verse 8. And Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, Behold who? Oh, Jesus became his Lord. You know what happened? Jesus became your Lord. You get a new heart. Oh, I'm telling you what, everything changes about you. And look right there. Here it comes. Half of my possessions I'll give to the poor. If I've defrauded anyone of anything, I'll give back four times as much. And boy, in case you were wondering where he got saved or not, the first time. And Jesus said to him, Today, not yesterday or tomorrow, right now. Today salvation has come to this house because he now became a what? After he belonged to Jesus. He became a son of Abraham. And when Miss Zacchaeus got saved, she became what? A daughter of Abraham, didn't she? Isn't that wonderful? Don't fight it. Verse 10. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Well, let's look in Hebrews 2 real quick. You know, I always wanted another verse. We could never look at James 5, 14 and 15 and never see healing in the Bible. So you'd only have to have a lot more than that. So we'll have a little more of this. All right, who's the children? I can't hear you. We're the children. All right, now what do the children do? They share in the flesh and the blood. They're covenant, right? They share, and of course, they share in the bread, the children's bread. Now in verse 14. Then the children, now that's the children, share in the what? Flesh and blood. Since the children share in the flesh of him, himself, Jesus, likewise also partook of the same, and he took of the same, which means the covenant, that through death he might render powerless him who had power of death, that is the devil. In other words, he defeated the devil. We're going to find out who he defeated for him in a minute. Looks like he defeated him for the children, doesn't it? Amen. And that he might what? He's going to deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their life, for surely he's not giving his help to angels, but he gives his help to who? Amen, the descendants of Abraham. Is that what you are? You want to receive it? Glory. Well, amen. Now, folks, I want you to know that there's some sin involved when demons get in your body. I mean, if it is plain old passivity, that's sin. You just let the devil run over you. And there is, so let's don't act like it's just a gland problem or a social problem or a mental problem anymore. Let's have understanding how to deal with it and get out from under the law and get this stuff off of us. Amen? In Acts, a part of you know it's a long term, I'm just going to quote about three scriptures to you. They were bringing to Jesus people who were sick, afflicted by demons, and they were all being healed. Now, you see how the two are tied together, sick, demons, and they're tied together. You deal with them together. And Luke 4 is talking about Jesus rebuked the fever and Peter's mother-in-law. You know that? He rebuked the fever. The fever is a personality. He rebuked it. He spoke to that. And this is what you have to do. You have to speak to the mouth. And in Acts 10, we know of Jesus at Nazareth, who God anointed with the Holy Spirit and power went about healing all those who are oppressed by the devil when they quit. He never did quit. He's still healing us who are oppressed by the devil. Now, I want you just to be aware of the demons that attack different parts of the body. There are demons that specialize in just attacking for blindness. There are demons that specialize in just attacking for deafness. They're infirmity. And all of them do different jobs to attack different parts of the body. Now, whether you understand it or not, I can't help you. That is the way it is, and that's the way the Bible explains it. Now, there are demons that attack different parts of the personality. What Jesus has in the fruit of the spirit, the demons have opposite. The spirit of the devil has opposite in the fruit of the devil. And that's why they come with the spirit of fear. You see the spirit of jealousy. And all these things, they specialize in those areas of life. Now, where that makes sense up here in the intellect, I can't help it. Right here is what the Bible is talking about. So, these attack different parts of your body. And I'm going to tell you, they get to attack through sin. So, isn't it real convenient that we ignore the devil and flee? And no sin can cause sickness. Isn't that something? Just brush it all aside. Righteousness, holiness, discernment, overcoming the world, the flesh, demons, pervert salvation, pervert healing, pervert deliverance. I mean, you know, that's real convenient for the demons just come to our heads often, isn't it? Huh? Kill us? Well, that day is over. So, we understand that the enemy, this enemy has come to kill you and your children, destroy you and steal if they're continually to divide your relationship. They're telling you one thing, they're telling you part, their suspicions. And what's happening to you when all of a sudden somebody walks in front of you, and you just want to kill them or something? Where is that thing? Where does all that come from? It's continually the suspicion happens where you work. It happens where you live. It happens in your church. That's when you get through here, the demons ignored, and the people walk out different doors. They don't want to even meet one another. They ought to stay home and read the sunny paper. They're worshiping in vain. They didn't get nothing from God. They puffed up in the flesh for being a little religious. They didn't get nothing. All right? Sickness is an intrusion in your body. You're going to, unless you want to just be passive and hang in there. And just to mention some of the things, Amos 9, the Lord said, and you're going to see a lot of this, particularly this afternoon, I'm going to command the serpent, and they're going to bite you. And you're going to look at some of that biting that serpents do. You've already seen a little. In other words, the hay hedges down. Now, turn to me to Proverbs 7. And we're going to shift gears here and start looking at some new things in the Word. Proverbs 7. Proverbs 7. It's going to get good after lunch. Proverbs 7. All right, now, Proverbs 7, verse 1. My Son, keep my what? Words. And treasure my word, my commandments, where? Within you. In other words, don't let it get stole from you. By affliction, persecution, cares of the world, pleasures of this life. Don't let those things get on you. You keep that word within you. And keep my word and what? That's the way you're going to live. And my teaching, my word is out before you. See, he's saying the word, the word, the word. He calls it teaching. He calls it commandment. And over and over. But this is what he's saying. Bind my word on your fingers. Write my word on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, you're my sister. Calls understanding your intimate friend. And what are these things going to do? They shall keep you from a what? Now, who's adulterous? That's someone, the harlots that are around that pretend obedience to God. Now, when you've got the word, you can discern. And it's going to keep you awake. You do not eat off the tree of knowledge of good and evil. You don't eat off that tree. You don't receive that job. Do you ever notice how somebody can load you up with a phone call of the morning? And I'm going to tell you what. It just, I mean, time you. I mean you. It's just hell the rest of the day. Because the enemy will take those words that he spoke to them to load you up right there. And you just receive that stuff and eat that stuff and take it to your heart. And you've had it. Let me show you. Well, and this word's going to keep you from the foreigner. That's a world. And that's who flatters with a what? The world has flattering words to appeal to. You know why we're close by. Turn back to Proverbs 2. I want to show you something why we're close by. This wasn't on our notes. But I want you just to see about. Who is wisdom? Wisdom is the Lord Jesus Christ. He became our wisdom in 1 Corinthians. Now, I want you to, I want you to see it. Now, I want you to go back and read all of 1 and 2. But I'm just going to show you part of it right here. Let's start in verse, let's start in verse 9. It says, Then, after you've done all these other things, you're going to discern what? Now, we need to learn how to discern righteousness, don't we? And justice. Isn't that right? And equity and every good course. For wisdom is going to enter your heart. What does that mean? That means Jesus is going to enter your heart. Now, if you have any problem with that, you go over to Proverbs 8. And you'll see clearly who wisdom is right there. It's Jesus. And knowledge, there's a word that's going to be pleasant to you. What? The word's going to be pleasant to your mind, will, and notions. Instead of having a war against your soul, your mind, will, and notions. You're going to have the word that's going to be pleasant to it. If you do the things before that. Right? Let's go ahead. Now, when you get that wisdom in your heart. And you get that word in you. Which is, it's going to be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will guard you. Understanding is going to watch over you. And all of this is going to do one thing. It's going to do many things. But here's one of the things it's going to do. It's going to deliver you from, what's those two words? The way of evil. Now, the way of the evil is the flesh. From the who? The man who speaks perverse things. There's the flesh. From those who leave the paths of who? All right. Now, there's your adulteress right there. She leaves the paths of uprightness to walk in ways of what? Now, this wisdom and word in your heart is going to keep you from this adulteress. If you let this word. But the word's not going to be in you. If you're receiving persecution. And got your mind on that. You've got your mind on affliction. You've got your mind on the cares of the world. The worries of this life. The pleasures of everything. Deceitful riches. You're not going to have the word in your heart. It's sold out. But to walk. Now, when they leave for the path of uprightness, they're walking in ways of darkness. And it's going to keep you from their way. Who delight in doing evil. That's the adulteress. Who rejoice in the perverse evils. It's going to protect you from them. Whose paths are crooked. See, they don't walk straight. They're staggered. They're drunk. And who are devious in their ways. There's their schemes. That's the wolves. That's the adulteress. To deliver you from the strange woman. That's the adulteress. And I've been telling you all the time. From the who? Adulteress who flatters with her words. That is adulteress. It's got all these words. The words is not the word. That leaves a companion of her youth. Who's adulteress? Who's a companion to her youth that adulteress leaves? Jesus. And forgets the what? She forgets the covenant. Is this plain? She forgets the covenant of her God for her house. Look here. Here's her house. Look here. See, this is her house. Sinks down to what? Death. And her tracks lead to the what? Dead. None who go to her Babylon return again. Nor do they reach the path of what? You don't reach a path of life. You understand? That word's getting pretty important all the time. So you will walk in the way of good men, and you're to keep the path of what? Righteous. In other words, we're dying in the flesh to keep the path of receiving the word and letting the word stay in our heart. Amen? Now, let's turn back over there. This is what the word does. It keeps you from adulteress and from the foreigner. Now, let's see if these words kind of get to you. Here's what happens to you in verse 21. With her many persuasion. This is 721. Proverbs 721. With her many persuasion, this the adulteress, the foreigner, world. With her many persuasion, she what? Entices him. Who's behind enticing? With her flattering lips, she seduces him. Suddenly he follows her as an ox goes to slaughter, as one in fetters to the disciplined fool until an hour. There they are. That's them. That is them right there. There is the hour, the powers of darkness. Pierces through his what? Liver as a bird hastens to the snare. He does not know that it's going to what? He doesn't know it's going to cost him his life. He doesn't know it. That his sin is going to cost him his life there. And now, therefore, my sons. Now, I want you to look at me, folks. We're starting right down here. Don't let something build up up here because I'm going to tell you, if you'll listen, this is just the beginning of it. Oh, there's just volumes after this right here, what we're saying. So if it has a new sound, guard your mind, guard your heart. And if you're writing a book, stop and listen. Verse 24. He doesn't know it's going to cost him his life. Now, therefore, my sons, listen to me and pay attention to the words of my mouth. Now, you know what the word, the opposite of paying attention to the words of the mouth of the Lord is 1 Timothy 4.1 where you pay attention to deceitful spirits up here, see. If you're not resisting them, you're listening to them. Now, do not let your, what? heart turn aside to her ways. Now, that's the world and the adulteress. Do not stray into her path for many of the victims she has cast down and numerous are all her slain. Her house is the way to her. She'll hail descending to the chambers of death. Now, back up to Proverbs 5. Proverbs 5. Proverbs 5. I want you, I'm going to throw in a, I'm just going to mention some things, come down. We haven't got all the time. Verse 1. My son, give attention to what? Wisdom, incline the ear to understanding. Well, now, see, this church had a form of godliness, ever learned, never able to come to the truth. They don't have understanding. When you don't have understanding, how to pray mine. Is that right? That's what it said over in Romans 1. Now, let's look there. It said that you may observe discretion, that your lips may reserve knowledge, for the lips of an adulteress drip honey smoother than oil in her speech. You have to be careful of words. Be careful what you listen to. Is that what you're warned in the power of the word? You be careful what you listen to. You don't have to be nice to somebody's flesh to receive death and poison. That's why we're told to expose the deeds of darkness, not hide from them. And we see the wormwood, the bitterness is there, and at 5, her steps lead to death, and down the shield held what we've already run. She's unstable. Her last part of 6, her ways are unstable, and she does not know it. Look at me. Adulteress don't know that they're staggered. They don't know that they don't know the way. They think they're helping God out. She doesn't know it, that her way is unstable. Now, he says, verse 7, that's where we was going to. Now then, my sons, listen to me. Do not depart from the words of my mouth. You better not leave my word. You better not let your mind get on these other things, what somebody is saying about you. Don't never let your conversation or mind or heart get on what folks say. Get your mind and heart on what God's saying. It don't matter what folks are saying. It matters what God's saying. Now, I'll tell you what, the enemy's got you. If you ever get, your heart starts going, and you start listening to what folks you want to get their approval. Be sure you're doing what God says. Now, verse 8, keep your way far from her. Do not go near the door of what? Now, where's her house? Don't come around it. Don't listen. Don't even have a meal with somebody like that. Lest you give your what? When you start listening to them, somebody's going to get your vigor. Wonder who that's going to be. Here they come. That's them. You just start receiving that junk from adulteress. Now, yes, you give your vigor to others. And your ears to the what? The demons work with the adulteress. And your ears go to the cruel one. Lest strangers, that's them, be filled with your what? You're going to be filled with your strength. They attack your body. They attack your mind. And your hard-earned goods goes to the house of an alien. There's a thief stealing from you. And you've grown your sickness at your latter end when your flesh and your body are consumed because of sickness. Sin. That's how it gets there. And you say, here's what you're really saying in your heart. Here's what you've done. How I have hated instruction. Boy, I hadn't listened to the word. My heart, my heart. Look here. Here's your heart right here. It might have been up here. But in your heart, you're spurned, reproved, disciplined. You wouldn't let the Lord lead you direct your way like a horse charging into battle your way. And I've not listened to the voice of my teachers, verse 13, nor inclined my ear to my instructors. I was almost in utter ruin, being destroyed right in the middle of the congregation. Is that clear? And that's exactly what's happening right now. May I tell you something? That's what's been happening to you right in the middle of the congregation. Now, I told you we're moving into a new thing. Now, I want to show you one example. Start showing you one example that someone is sick with sin in their life, and this person is sick, wouldn't repent. See, if you get some theology where you don't repent, then they get to stay there. That's what they pervert. So, by all means, attack somebody if they show you from the Word of God that sickness can get in your body through sin. Demons don't bring infirmity to your body because you're blessed. Now, turn to Psalm 32. The wise and intelligent never, never, never, never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever will sin. So what? Does that change God? Why, here's a man that wouldn't confess his sin. He started out a little stiff-necked and stubborn, and then he changed his theology. Verse 3, when I kept silent about my sin, he wouldn't confess it, my body just kept wasting away, didn't it? Through my groaning all day long. Now, groaning is what we saw in Proverbs as a sickness, the cruel one. For day and night the hand was heavy upon me. The head is down, sickened, because he has a sin. My body was drained away as a fever heat of summer. Am I saying what the Lord is saying? Shake your head. And then he decided to change his heart. He decided to quit hanging in there no more. Watch what he did in 5. And then he what? He acknowledged his sin to the Lord, which means he repented. Were you right? Repented there? Obvious what? He repented what? Does the sin have anything to do with the sickness there? Now, if anybody ever hears I said that, some folks, and they don't know, they're going to throw you off a cliff. I'm just reading the Bible here, aren't I? Is that in your Bible too? He said, I acknowledge my sin to thee, and my iniquity, my sin I did not hide. I said, I'm going to confess my transgression to the Lord. I'm not hanging in there no more. And thou did forgive the guilt of my sin. Now, here comes the big one. Get your big pencil ready. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to the Lord in a time when thou mayest be found. Now, here it is. Surely in a what? Well, there that thing is. A flood of great water. That's those words of the demons. They shall not reach him. Is that plain? Is that plain? Now, when he confessed his sin right there, and he got right, the flood of waters can't reach him, right? Now, there are my hiding place. That means a hiding place when you get in the presence of the Lord. You don't get in the presence of the Lord unless you confess and deal with that sin. Exactly what you saw in James 4, 6 through 10. Thou dost preserve me from trouble. That's walking in covenant, by the way. Thou dost surround me with songs of what? Deliverance. Glory. He didn't get healed until he got repented, did he? When did that end? When did that stop? Turn to chapter 35. Chapter 35. Psalm 35. Let's look at verse 10. We're there real close. Let's just look at some things. Verse 10. All my bones will say, Lord, who is like thee, who delivers the what? Deflicted from him who is what? Too strong for him. That's them. And deflected and unneeded from him who what? Now, afflicted, unneeded, that's sick. Unneeded from him who what? Robs him. There's your thief. Now, you'll see it in a minute. Verse 6. Like, 16 rather. Like godless jesters at a feast, they gnash at me with their teeth. Lord, how long is there going to look on? Rescue my soul as my mind, will, and emotions from their ravages, the war against my soul, my only life from the who? Who's that? That's them. That's exactly right. The war that represents my mind. Rescue my mind, will, and my emotions from these demons that's attacking my mind. All right, they're gnashing at me, they're godless jesters. Now, and then he said, I'm going to keep it a big secret because I don't want anybody to know I had the only demon that got out of Africa. 18. No, he said, I'm going to give thee thanks in the what? They're going to boast in the works of the Lord, not going to hide them. I'll praise thee among the mighty strong. Now, you see, when you've got to make a name for yourself, you've got a little pride. That's the reason you don't want to talk about, you know, you've got something to protect, the image you've got to protect. That's the reason you won't talk about the work of the Lord because you've got your ministry and your enemy, an image and your pride to protect. Okay. Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me. Don't let them. Neither let those who hate me, they hate you without a cause, wink malicious. Now, here is another big scripture, and I want you to block it in where you can always come back there. For they do not, they don't speak peace to your mind, but they devise what? All right, now, they devise these deceitful words, these lying, deceitful words. That's what the pirates of darkness do, the demons do. They devise deceitful words against those who are what? Quiet in the land, that means if you're at peace, they come to bring, to disturb that peace with deceitful words, lying words, guilt, condemnation, and many things like that. And they open their mouth wide against men. They said, Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it. You know, in Luke, when Jesus cast the demons out, they laugh. But if anybody's had any deal with them, you know, they laugh all the time. They all the time laugh. They're laughing as they're leaving, they know. But, but right there is the accuser. They are accusing. They open their mouth wide and their eyes have seen it. In other words, they're accusing him right there. Now, turn to 38. Chapter 38. 38, verse 1. O Lord, rebuke me not in thy want. What did I tell you? You fall at wrath and anger. The powers of darkness are turned loose. The hedge is down. O Lord, rebuke me not in a wrath. And what's those two words? Chasten me. Chasten me not in thy want. Now, the Lord uses the powers of darkness. They're the ones that come and whip on your head until you get lined up with the Word. Of course, if you're stiff-necked and stubborn like in Jeremiah, you never turn. You won't turn. A stiff-necked and stubborn person won't turn back to the Lord. Now, verse 2. For thine heirs, that's them, circle that. That's his arrows. You know why it's an arrow? Let me show you something. Look at me. What is the mouth shaped like? Have you ever noticed it's shaped like a bow? You shoot the arrows right out of your mouth, see? And that's why the Lord says, here it comes out of his mouth, sick them. See, it's already said in his Word, to curse him. That's why he says, sick them. They're not in the blessings. They don't want COVID. Sick them. Amen? Okay. For thine heirs have sunk deep into me. When you talk about the Lord's breath, or his bow, that's what you're talking about. Okay. Thine heirs have sunk deep into me, and thy hand has pressed down on me. There is no soundness in my flesh. Sound like you might be sick a little bit? Because of thine indignation. Now, get your big pencil ready. Here it comes. This is the way it used to be. There is no health in my body, because of what? Do you think sin had anything to do with this man's sickness? It does all over the Bible. Where'd that come from, that these kind of things are not in the Bible? Sound like another gospel, doesn't it? Okay. See, because if you ever deal with sin, you stay sick. If nobody ever deals with sin, it prays for you. Nothing's going to happen to them anyway. It's the prayer of a righteous man, that availeth not. Not the prayer of a devil. Okay. For my iniquities are gone over my head, as a heavy burden they weigh too much for me. My wounds, that's his sickness there, grow foul and fester, because of my what? Folly. Now, you want to do your word study on folly? That's what it said about that whore, harlot, depraved mind church in 2 Timothy 3, that had a form of godliness and denies the power of God. They even oppose the truth. It says their folly's going to be obvious all. This is what kind of things that God calls folly right here, to be sick. They grow foul, they just stay sick because of this folly. I'm bent over and greatly bowed down. I go mourning all day long. My loins are filled with burning. There's a fever. And there is no soundness in my flesh. You see that? Turn over to 39. See, and he just keeps on and on and says it over and over and over and over. He wrote over in the New Testament. Amazing if you look really. See, but if you're already told something's not in the Word, listen to me. If you're already told it's not there and you eat those words, you take it to heart, then you can't see it. It becomes a stronghold. See, he's not only saying it over here in Psalms, he says it over in the New Testament. That's where we're supposed to be living. All right, 39, verse 10. Remove thy plague, sound like sickness, from me. Because of the opposition of thy hand, I am what? I am perishing. With reproofs thou dost what? Chasing a man for what? See, the sin he's being chastened for, and he's got the plague on him. Is that right? Thou dost consume a man as a what? Didn't I tell you that's the way the powers of darkness, they move on and just eat away like a moth. Just slow destruction. Just slowly destroying you like rottenness. Thou dost consume with a moth, sycam, that's the arrow, which is precious to him. Surely every man is a mere breath. Right? Let's jump over in 41. 41. Chapter 41. Now, let's begin reading verse 2. The Lord will protect him. Does it say the same thing over and over and over? When God changed, sin changed, the devil changed, sickness changed. Covenant. Covenant with God's covenant. The Lord will protect him and what? Keep him alive. He shall be what? He's going to be blessed among the earth. And do not give him over to the desire of his enemy. They have a desire to destroy you and kill you and steal from you. The Lord will sustain him upon his what? Sickbed. In his illness as sickness, thou dost restore him to what? Health. For as for me, I said, O Lord, be gracious to me. Heal my soul, for I have what? Now, see, there's... Your mind, will, and emotions kind of gets involved right there, too. And you get off the sickbed. We're in Jeremiah 6, verse 5. Now, look at me just a minute. Let me just explain one thing. Babylon has been being rebuilt. You know, Babylon come down. Now, Babylon's being rebuilt today. Babylon is the whore harlot church. And the reference is made to this church. She is called a palace. Her palace. Her palace. See, palace. Her palace is where Nebuchadnezzar is king, Satan. The synagogue of Satan. And let's see what happens in this synagogue. Arise, verse 5, and let us attack by what? Now, the powers of darkness attack during the time of darkness, and destroy her what? Palaces. For thus says the Lord of hosts. Who is he? The king of glory. He's the Lord of hosts, isn't he? Well, amen. That's the Lord. Cut down her trees. Sick them. And that's palace. Cut down her trees. Cast up a siege against Jerusalem. A church. This is a city to be punished, and whose midst there's only what? See, no peace there. He's not walking in words. It's just oppression. As a well keeps its waters fresh, so she keeps fresh her wickedness. Violence and destruction. Now, violence is a manifestation of demons. Destruction is a sickness. Our hurt in her. Sickness and wounds are ever before me. It doesn't sound quite like the Lord just jumping up and down about sickness, does he? I just don't much believe he is. He said sickness and wound and oppression, so he sent the tree cutters in there. You know, they don't deal with that. Just cut them down. Cut them down. I've been waiting. I've been removing stones. I've been putting fertilizer on, and I've been waiting for them to bear fruit, and they're not bearing fruit. I'm telling you, the hedge is gone. Go in there and cut the place down. Just let them count each other for a while until they repent. Turn to Psalm 107. I'm telling you, there's a lot to say about tree cutters in here. Psalm 107. Now, we're seeing if there's anything in the Bible that says sin has anything to do with sickness, aren't we? We won't miss nothing, would we? Because if these demons we read about bring sickness to your body, I want you to know they're getting there through sin. Now, watch very carefully what I'm fixing to say. I did not say that I can't prove that every sickness that comes into somebody's body is caused by a demon. All right, every time that exactly what, the only thing I know that just about everything I've dealt with to know one another, one way or another, it has been that way. So now, this ought to free you up to kind of look at your Bible right here and see what your Bible says. This is what you're supposed to be receiving, right? Okay. Now, Psalm 107, verse 10. There were those who dwelt in what? Now, when you're in darkness, you know where you are? You're in the shadow of what? Now, that means you're in the presence of death. What is that? When you're in the shadow of the Almighty, you're in the presence of the Lord. We've already seen you get in the presence of the Lord by having good soil. Isn't that right? Dealing with sin. Isn't that right? What we saw in James 4? Now, when you're in the shadow of death, that's the opposite from being in the shadow of life. Isn't that right? The Lord. Okay. There were those, they're in darkness, in the shadow of death. Now, here it is. When you're in darkness, you're prisoners. And you are in misery and chains. I mean, it's coming against your body. It's coming against your mind, will, and emotions, which is your soul. Isn't that right? I can't hear you. Oh, it's getting good. Now, verse 11. Here's the reason it's this way. Because the people are in darkness, in the shadow of death, and prisoners of misery have rebelled against what? They're in rebellion to God. Is that plain? They're in rebellion to God and have spurned the counsel of the Holy Spirit of the Most High. Is that right? Is that what your Bible says? All right. And furthermore, it says in verse 17 that they're fools because of their, what kind of way? They're rebellious to the Word of God and direction of God. And because of their sins, they are being what? Afflicted with this misery and chains. Amen. And then verse 19. Some do, most don't, and then they what? Cried out, you can write there, repented. That means that they cried out to the Lord in their trouble. They repented. They turned from their wicked ways. God sits on the throne of grace. And then He saved them out of their what? Remember the word distress is right there. Now distress is when the Lord used it many times, talking about when He controlled the powers of darkness. And then verse 20. He sent some folks and healed them. He sent His Word and healed them. That's the reason you got so excited when you see revelation and things in the world. It's the most exciting thing you'll ever want for God to give you revelation and grace about His Word. He sent His Word and healed them and He delivered them from their destructions, didn't He? Oh, let's look in 22. We don't want no one to ever know about this, that we had this problem with these prisoners of demons, do we? We don't want to spread some else get free. 22. Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and what? Tell of His works with joyful sin. Didn't say forget His works, did He? Didn't say keep them a secret, did He? You know, what is it that keeps you from telling the works of Jesus? You're ashamed of Him. You're ashamed of the Lord when you won't talk about the works in the Bible. You're ashamed. I got a little secret for you. He's ashamed of you too. You're in trouble. Shamed of Him. All right. Do you ever see... Pastor, I know you have. You hear them say, you know, we just almost went over. Boy, we just almost went over. We just almost went over this time in the revival. Boy, we just... Two years ago, we just almost went over. You're not going to go over until you get rid of them. You ever see somebody just up to the ceiling and one day in the next moment, they're right there down on the carpet, right? Here they are on verse 26. They rose up to the heavens and then they go down to the depths. Now, their soul, that's their mind, wills and emotion, melted away and they're what? Misery. They reeled and staggered like a what? Look at me. They're stumbling around in spiritual darkness because they can't find a way of peace. Amen. They're stumbling and staggering. Their mind, will and emotions are being tore up. And they were at their what? With sin. And then they what? Cried. Circle cried means they repented. What they need to do is deal with sin. Are you seeing this, folks? Stiff-necked and stubborn and proud people don't deal with sin. God needs them instead of them needing God. They don't humble themselves. So God resists the proud and gives grace to who? A hollow man cries out. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble. He brought them out of their what? Now, I told you distress. This is when the powers of darkness have got control there. And then He caused the what to be still. What is a storm? That's them. He caused this storm to be and the waves of the sea were what? Now, when you say the waves of the sea were hush, look at me. The waves of the sea are words, words. Now, now, now, let me ask you something. You remember over in Ephesians 4, it warns you don't be tossed about by doctrines, winds, words of doctrine here, huh? Waves, huh? Don't be tossed about by words of doctrine. Be tossed about by the word. He caused the storm to be still so that the waves of the sea were hush. And then when it's hush, what does that mean? They've received peace. Look at there it is in 30. Then they were glad because they what? They're quiet now. He guided them their what? Desired heaven, which is peace. One lady one time up there at Grayson, you know, I cast the demons out of this lady right there, and she sit there in such amazement. She said, I didn't know until now that my whole life has been just like sitting under a train trestle with a train passing over, and it's just now all come over because of peace. She didn't have any idea. You know, we get problems. We have to live with all our ear ringing and all these things going on, see. We're supposed to live that way. After all, God can't do anything. All right. So when they received peace, they got set free, 31. Let's keep it a big secret. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His loving kinds, for His wondrous Son of men. Let's extol Him where? In the congregation of the people and praise Him at the seat of the elders. Now see, I want to tell you something. When you can't talk about the works of God in your church, He's out there knocking on the door. Now that's traditions. If you fell down, get back up again. It's good not to be in misery and chains. All right. I'm just going to just mention these right here. I don't want you to turn to them. In John 14, it's Jesus found a man. John in the New Testament, Jesus found a man in the temple and said to you, Become well. Do not sin anymore, lest the worst thing happen to you. Is that plain? I think we ought to cut that out because we wouldn't want to offend anybody, would we? Jesus went on in Matthew 9, 2 and 5. Jesus said, Which is easier to say, Your sins have forgiven you, or take up your pallet and walk? It's the same thing. Huh? Let's cut that one out too. You want to? We don't want to offend any words. We want to do the wise and intelligent things. Hebrews 12. It's 9 through 13. It's good. You'll go back over. You know, it said, Make straight paths. That means walking righteousness so that your limbs can be healed. That means you line yourself up with the Word of God and covenant of God so you'll be healed. Now, I want to ask you something. How can we expect God to heal us if we break His conditions, we reject His conditions, break His laws? Well, He just doesn't do it. That's why we've been deceived. See, healing is part of the work of the church, and the church is who the Lord God has given authority over all the works of the devil. It's been given to the church. The church walks in covenant, though. The church has this Jesus right here. The church has this gospel right here. The church walks in this righteousness right here. Amen? Amen? So, once again, I'll just ask you, How can God heal us if we'll not obey Him and resist the devil? If you don't resist the devil, what do you think He does? He runs right over the top of you. Amen? Well, sure He does. Now, I've got a book right here that has hundreds of promises in it. This book right here shows you if you'll meet the condition and live up to the promise, anything and everything in this book is yours. I'll say that again. I've got a book here. If you'll meet the condition, live up to the promise, anything and everything in this book is yours. It's a Sears and Roebuck catalog. If you'll meet the condition and live up to the promise, you can have anything or everything in this book. There's bedspreads, lamps, curtains, garage doors, pots and pans, cameras, tires, clothes, hundreds of promises. If you'll meet the condition, have a good credit or cash and live up to the promise, make your payments, anything in this book or everything in it is yours. There's an interesting thing about this book. This book is full of things that you need for your cart to live in this world. There's another interesting thing about this book. Everything in this book I can see, I can smell, I can taste, and I can hear or I can feel. As a matter of fact, I have a lot of needs in this book, in this life. But there's another side of this. Man, the things in this book can get my heart and be idols because I can become proud. I can either see, smell, taste, hear, feel everything in this book. This is a natural book. I have another book up here. If you meet the conditions and live up to the promises, anything and everything is in this book. It's yours. If you meet the condition, live up to the promise, everything in this book is yours. This is the word of God. I cannot see. I cannot smell, taste, hear, or feel the things in this book because this is a spiritual book. I have to receive everything in this book by faith. I have to receive it without seeing it. I have to receive it without smelling it. I have to receive it without tasting it. I have to receive it without hearing it. I have to receive it without feeling it. Now, this has to do with receiving the things that God says in His word. Do you know over there which reading His covenant is? You do this, I'll do that. You do this, I'll do this. Here's where you're going to walk. Here's where I'm going to walk. But people like to analyze and speculate just to see what God has to do for them. They're not looking in there and see what they have to do. Amen? Unrighteous people are not looking at their selves. They're looking somewhere else. Amen? Because their hearts are somewhere else. But you meet the condition and live up the promise and everything in this book's here. Well, you know over in James 14 and 15 didn't it tell you that if that when you're sick you want let's turn over around James 5. Let's turn over there. There's some promises there, isn't it? Just like that Sears and Roebuck catalog. He has a lot of promises in there, doesn't he? Huh? Amen. All right, now it says right there if you're sick call for the elders of the church. Let them pray. But he said to know I'm the Lord. Now he said if you don't go duck yourself in Dallas Creek seven times well then that's what you're supposed to do, you know. It appears in Dallas Creek. God said do it. Right? So you don't add to or take away do what God says if you want to be healed. And so then we see in verse 15 that you will be restored. Now wasn't it real interesting that we don't have to go back over it back over in James 4 before you get to well, you know back in James 1 it said the double-minded man is not going to receive anything from God so he might use a whole lot of oil and somebody you know it doesn't sound like he's going to get too much there does he? And heal him. Matter of fact he might die. Now another thing is that we looked in some things about jealousy that your prayers are not answered in 4 right there because you want your motives are wrong is that right? That your adultery is your prayers not answered. We also see in James 4 right there that how to have good soul to get right before God and so you're going to humble yourself you're going to start resisting the devil you're going to submit to God you're going to praise the Lord and one of the things it said you're going to cleanse your hands you sinners. After it said all the things that you're doing wrong before God you're going to cleanse your hands you sinners and you're going to purify your heart get it single before the Lord you don't do that unless you deal with sin and then when you deal with sin you come into brooks and that way you come into the presence of God you deal with that sin before you get over to deal with righteous man praying for someone else just a righteous man is going to do that and then particularly the people who come and deal with sin and repentance and brokenness before the Lord to be healed is that right? To humble himself before the Lord well it sounds like a deal with sin we've been seeing a lot of scripture dealing with sin before healing Jesus you know in Psalms 103 you know we looked at two and three he said he forgives all your iniquities then he heals all your diseases right? we also see that in 1 Peter 2 24 you know it says that you die to sin live to righteousness walking in the word walking right in God's and then by his stripes you're healed you were healed isn't that right? that's covenant die to sin and walk in righteousness that's obeying the word James 4 8 told us right here we just saw cleanse your hands you sinners and then after you deal with sin let's look there in verse 16 it says deal with sin and then you can be healed that's what you see over and over and over and over so I always wonder what 16 says so 16's saying therefore go ahead and confess your sins go ahead and do it deal with it to one another and pray for one another pray for the healing deal with the sin and go ahead and know it with all and pray for one another so that you can be healed now you see how that works you put that in there alright well let's start back I don't let's start back in 14 so you see what I'm saying if anyone among you is sick let him call for the elders of the church let him pray over him anoint him with oil in the name of the lord and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick and the lord will raise him up he's committed these sins they will be forgiven but you see you're dealing with the sins you're having a good soul you're confessing your sins to one another therefore the lord is saying in verse 16 if you want to be healed confess your sins to one another and pray for one another go ahead and pray for one another so that you might be healed because when you're doing these kind of things you're a righteous man and the effective prayer of a righteous man is one that accomplishes much amen because a righteous man is walking right in God's eyes he's not staggering like we saw in in in in James 4 where he's wanting to cast all these on his pleasures now uh I come to a place where I'm wanting to uh uh I don't want you to turn that up there yet uh now I'm gonna I shared this what I shared with you just about uh well I shared all of James and I came to that place one time and lord give me one of the greatest revelations by him I had just sat down you know how God just show you something like that and I'm fixing to relate this thing to you about sin because your bible through relating sickness and I don't care what somebody else is saying you've been reading it out of your bible that's how sin and sickness are tied together right okay I recommend the word now I'm gonna show you how this works let's just say I've dealt with situations where I was able to tell and where people like cancer that's one of the most uh uh common and most you know uh cancer let's just say a person has cancer and they wanna be healed that cancer let's say that cancer has got in there because of sin alright now I want you to know and I want you to understand that there is a demon that specializes in cancer there's a demon that specializes in tumor there are two different demons how many of you already knew that hold up your hand already dealt with it keep your hands up I'd just like to see I'd just like to see who's dealing with these things alright that's a bunch of you it's spreading uh now folks I wanna tell you something if you've got some kind of a sickness please don't be offended by the word of God because what I'm speaking to you right now is the word of God check it out in the word and see if what we're saying is in the word don't be offended because your tradition has told you something I've been reading the bible to you amen now I've been sick ain't a lot of folks in here sick but you're not supposed to be offended try to check out what that is that rises up in you and offends you amen okay so he comes up and boy I'm telling you what this person doesn't want cancer and they wanna be healed and so they come up and they want the elders to pray for them some folks even come up with them he's very humble he cries all over the place now sometimes now I'm gonna tell you what sometimes God in his sovereign will I mean he just I mean his heart and humble he'll not have to go through the things that he's confessing but in other times and many many many cases they're gonna go through this thing because this is what the Bible is talking to you about he comes up and everybody knows that this is the most lacked man a most admired man as a Christian they are in this congregation and they all love him and he comes up and there he's anointed with oil and he use a lot of oil and he dies you know that happens don't you now I'm not saying there are not other reasons I do I know a lot of reasons why healing won't work and I'm not gonna get into all of them right now but I'm gonna tell you part of the reason right now now I'm gonna tell you what God sees in this man now did we see over here in James 4 that he says cleanse your heart you sinners and purify cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your heart who are double minded trying to walk hate the flesh and the devil and walk the Lord is that right alright now here's what the Lord sees the Lord let's see I'll just go over there can you do that can you roll this over here oh you gotta do that you gotta move the screen see he didn't have these in Benton now right here here's what God sees when this man comes before him see where's he looking at right here in his heart is that right he's looking to enter man this man comes here and he wants to deal with that cancer and what he's saying right there when he comes before the Lord he's saying Lord I want you to deal with this one sin right here cancer but I'm gonna keep this greed and slander that's in my heart Lord I want you to deal with this one sin of cancer but I'm gonna keep this unconfessed bitterness and rebellion and envy in my heart Lord I want you to deal with this one sin cancer but I'm gonna I'm gonna keep this pride and self-pity and anger and hate that's in my heart I haven't repented of Lord I want you to deal with this one sin of cancer but I want in my heart I'm gonna keep this gossip and deceit Lord deal with this one sin of cancer right here but I wanna keep this these sins of selfishness and unforgiveness Lord I'm just interested in you dealing with this this one sin right here this cancer is all I need right there I wanna keep this resentment and I'll keep this stubbornness and I'll keep this jealousy in my heart now are you seeing what I'm telling you huh that's not what James 4 said said cleanse your hands you sinners he was not cleansing his hands of the selfishness and anger and the gossip and the slander and everything he just wanna cleanse his hands of one sin right see God doesn't see any difference in that sin than he does in unforgiveness amen now that's not the total picture and that's not always the rule when some the anointing and the power of God is on the place that someone do it but God and His sovereign will and the power of God but I'm gonna tell you something you talk about something making a difference in somebody's life this is the way people ought to be taught and this ought to told and that's what you're supposed to walk and when you're walking this way and something gets on you you can get it off right there alright just real quickly I want you to turn with me to Acts now I'm not gonna turn to Acts 1 9 and 11 where it says Jesus you know you remember what He talked to where we're gonna turn to is Acts 5 Jesus you know the last thing He did was ascended and spoke to the disciples and immediately ascended went into heaven right did He teach the disciples how He wanted the church to be amen He told them to go and baptize teach the word and teach them to observe everything make more disciples right make more disciples like who make more disciples like them teach them everything I taught you and then they're gonna be like you and if they're like you they're gonna be like me because you're gonna do what I told you to do right well amen alright then we see this starts again in Acts 1 where Jesus right there in Acts 1 He has said these things and He ascends and goes into heaven and then who do you think would be the best authority on how a church would be I think you would start in Acts 1 to see what the church is supposed to look like I believe you can tell more from Acts 1 what the church is supposed to look like than the 16th and 17th century I think Acts is better than old time religion now I could go through now there on your list some other scriptures there in Acts but I'm just gonna start on a verse I'm gonna show you how this church they walked in much opposition and persecution and persecution but the only thing they were interested in is what God said and wasn't moved by it in Jesus name and I want you to know that's the way I mean when you walk with God you're out on a limb and if He don't come through you're sunk and that's exactly where God wants to walk now we have been programmed listen pastor we have been so programmed that we have to be in control and we have been programmed when we start losing control lose control or something that's when the enemy attacks you with fear and intimidation we've been taught to trust other things and so I'm telling you what to fall in after Jesus and this what God is doing today we're gonna have to turn it loose I'm telling you what we're gonna go through the valley pastor you will go through the valley every one of you are gonna go to the valley you're gonna go through the valley you won't have nothing to talk about you're gonna be tested first and then Lord's gonna raise you up and then when he raises you up and makes a name for you you're gonna know who put you there and you know who set you down I heard my wife laugh she said she knows I've been set down I'm telling you what I fear God I fear he'll set me down I don't care what kind of a splash or anything or how people think about me or say about me or good or anything else I know one person that I cannot deceive by even the thoughts of my heart that's God and I know that he can use me all over the place right here it's all over I'm telling you when God's spirit or hand comes off it's all him and so it is with you now it's time we start acting like that let's just let God be God he's just kind of funny about that that's all he wants to do just let him be God he's not gonna bring confusion and he doesn't need any experts they're just not into it and I'm gonna tell you what these things that God does through gifts and spirits as he severally will no one's gonna wear gifts and everything like they got some kind of badge or something like there or something God's gonna move through this one he'll move through that one and you don't know what he's gonna move through so you'll know that nobody with any reputation is doing it except the Lord Jesus Christ Amen Acts 5 verse 12 how'd I get in first Peter I told you I was tore up Acts 5 verse 12 and at the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people and they were all in one accord in solid and in poor accord now don't you know these healing casting out demons don't you know they have a lot to say about them now that don't make it popular with a whole lot of folks when you start dealing with things like that that messes numbers and every kind of thing but 13 but none of the rest did what they didn't want to associate with them boy they had a lot of problems like that I sure am glad it's not that way today aren't you huh they didn't want to associate with them however the people the people can you hear me where you sitting the people left them in high esteem how the sheep are coming you know my wife is talking about here Monday morning she said Mel that's where the most beautiful sight of God just opened my whole eyes she was 630 in the morning you know I was over here at the hotel and she came over to meet with me here and she said here those sheep was at 630 in the morning and they are coming with their bibles they are going to eat sheep just hundreds of them going to eat sheep are hungry they are starving to death the people the sheep are coming nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep are coming nothing stops nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep stops nothing the sheep are coming nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep are coming stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing nothing stops nothing stops nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing the sheep nothing the sheep nothing the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing stops the sheep nothing And they laid their hands on the apostles and put them in a public jail. They lay hands on different than the other folks there, don't they? But he always triumphed in Jesus' name. An angel of the Lord during the night opened the gates of the prison and taking them out, he said... Here's what the angel said. Are you ready to put this on your refrigerator? Go your way and stand! And you speak to this people in the church the whole message of this life! Glory! Amen! All of it! Well, so here they went back out there in N25. But someone came and reported to them, behold, these men whom you put in prison, they're back in the church teaching again to people. They thought they had them in jail. Well, look here in N27. And when they brought them, they stood before the council and a high preacher questioned them. And saying... Now, here's another. Can't you just see him? Look here, look here, look here. And he's a little fast talker, you know. I'm just saying. We gave you strict orders. I imagine he's getting a little weak now because he's been doing this since the first chapter in Acts. We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name. And behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us. But Peter, and I was trying to please him right there, and he said, but Peter and the Apostle Samson said, we must obey God rather than men. Amen! Well, praise the Lord. And we are witness to these things. Look who gets the Holy Spirit. And so is the Holy Spirit who God gives to who? Oh, those who obey Him? That sounds like old John 3.36, what we said up there. The wrath of God remains on those who does not obey Him. And then there he says he gives the Holy Spirit to the one who does obey Him. Well, let that get in there. Well, one other thing. Let's go over to Acts 6. We see there in verse 2 that this... I mean, this is a church, folks. It's all God. And the twelve summoned the... You see what kind of congregation they had? They had a congregation of disciples then. All right, then. And look down in 7. And verse 7, The Word of God just kept on spreading, and the number of disciples just continued... See, we're making disciples. And the number of disciples continued to increase, what? ...greatly in Jerusalem, and a great number of the preachers were being saved. Becoming obedient to the faith. Now, I told you later on, besides he's an apostle, that Steve was laven over there, some laven, and you know kind of the whole body's kind of getting on with some of these things. Now, you remember that Jesus told in Mark 16 that these signs are going to follow those who believe? Why did it say these signs are going to follow those who don't believe or the ones that believe? Well, if you're talking about believing, what do you get to see? Nothing, because God can't do anything, any miracles, any things around somebody that won't believe. He won't believe. So, and I want you to remember that Jesus told them to go and heal the sick after he was resurrected. Is that right? Now, I'm going to tell you something. This is good. The Word is good.
