Mark 10:2 Summary
In this verse, some Pharisees came to test Jesus by asking if it's okay for a man to divorce his wife. They were trying to trap Him into saying something that would contradict the law of Moses. But Jesus didn't fall for their trap, and instead, He used the opportunity to teach them about the importance of marriage and the seriousness of divorce, as seen in Mark 10:3-12 and Matthew 19:3-12. This verse reminds us that marriage is a sacred institution, and we should approach it with care and respect, as seen in Ephesians 5:25-33 and Colossians 3:18-19.
