17They too descended with it to Sheol, to those slain by the sword. As its allies they had lived in its shade among the nations. 18Who then is like you in glory and greatness among the trees of Eden? Ezekiel 31:16 Summary
Ezekiel 31:16 tells us that when a powerful nation, like Egypt, falls, it can have a big impact on other countries and make them afraid, as seen in Revelation 6:15-17. The verse also reminds us that everyone, no matter how great or powerful, will face God's judgment, as described in Psalm 9:17 and Ezekiel 32:18-32. This should inspire us to humility and recognition of God's sovereignty, as seen in Proverbs 16:18 and 1 Peter 5:6-7. By applying this lesson to our own lives, we can cultivate a sense of humility and trust in God's goodness and justice, as described in Romans 11:33-36.
