As young people navigate the challenges of adolescence, the Bible offers guidance and encouragement. The apostle Paul urges Timothy to set an example for others, despite his youth, and to flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness (1 Timothy 4:12, 2 Timothy 2:22-26). God promises to provide a way of escape from temptation and to renew the strength of those who wait on Him (1 Corinthians 10:13, Isaiah 40:30-31). With God's help, teenagers can overcome fear and anxiety, for He has given them a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7), enabling them to live faithfully and make a positive impact.

Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will.

They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” And at once they left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him. Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed—and He healed them. The large crowds that followed Him came from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
