9 Bible Verses on Stewardship of Gods Creation

9 verses

God entrusts humanity with the care of His creation, as seen in Genesis 2:15, where Adam is placed in the Garden to tend and keep it. According to Genesis 1:28, humans are given dominion over the earth, and in Genesis 1:26, they are made in God's image, implying a responsibility to manage creation wisely. The Bible teaches that everything belongs to God, as stated in Psalms 24:1, and that believers are to use their gifts and resources to serve others, as encouraged in 1 Peter 4:10. By caring for creation, Christians demonstrate their love and respect for God, the Creator and Owner of all things.

Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.”
As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.”
The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof, the world and all who dwell therein.
The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great— and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and bounty, but you came and defiled My land, and made My inheritance detestable.
But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.
For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
