Gathering with fellow believers for worship and fellowship is a vital aspect of the Christian life. The book of Hebrews encourages believers not to neglect meeting together, as this helps to stir up love and good works. In Psalms, the writer expresses joy in going to the house of the Lord, while Jesus teaches in Matthew that wherever two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them. The early church, as described in Acts, devoted themselves to meeting together, and Colossians emphasizes the importance of letting the word of Christ dwell richly within the community.
