12 Bible Verses on Purity

12 verses

In God's sight, a pure heart is one that is single-mindedly devoted to Him, as Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount. The psalmist asked how a young person could stay pure, answering that it is by keeping God's word, as expressed in Psalms 119. The New Testament emphasizes the importance of purity in all aspects of life, including relationships, as seen in Hebrews 13:4, and in fleeing from immorality, as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 6:18. According to 1 Timothy 4:12, believers are to set an example in purity, demonstrating their commitment to following God's ways.
