16 Bible Verses on Potential

16 verses

According to Scripture, believers have been empowered to fulfill their unique purpose in Christ. The apostle Paul writes in Ephesians that God is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think," highlighting the vast potential that lies within the Christian life. As noted in Philippians, believers can accomplish all things through Christ who strengthens them, and Ephesians emphasizes that they are created in Christ Jesus for good works. The Psalms also reveal that each person is intricately designed by God, as seen in Psalms 139, and Ephesians encourages believers to have a deeper understanding of their inheritance and calling.

Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. He will not be put to shame when he confronts the enemies at the gate.
He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you. Heaven must take Him in until the time comes for the restoration of all things, which God announced long ago through His holy prophets.
And do this, understanding the occasion. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
