6 Bible Verses on Intoxication

6 verses

Scripture warns against the dangers of excessive drinking, as it can lead to poor decision-making and reckless behavior. In Proverbs, it is written that wine deceives and leads to foolish actions, while Ephesians cautions against being drunk with wine, instead urging believers to be filled with the Spirit. The apostle Paul also lists drunkenness as a work of the flesh in Galatians, and Romans advises living honorably and not in orgies and drunkenness. Additionally, 1 Peter encourages vigilance and self-control, traits that are compromised by intoxication.
