When we experience hurt feelings, Scripture encourages us to respond in a way that honors God. Ephesians 4:32 teaches us to forgive one another, just as God has forgiven us, while Matthew 5:44 reminds us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Romans 12:19 warns against seeking revenge, instead leaving room for God's wrath, and Matthew 11:28-30 invites us to come to Jesus for rest and comfort. By following Colossians 3:13, bearing with one another and forgiving as the Lord forgave us, we can find healing and peace.

Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and defile many.
