The Bible teaches that God's favor and kindness are freely given to humanity, despite sin and rebellion. According to Ephesians, this gift of salvation is not earned, but rather received through faith, as it is written that \"it is the gift of God, not of works.\" The book of Hebrews encourages believers to approach God's throne with confidence, receiving mercy and finding grace to help in time of need, as stated in Hebrews 4:16. Additionally, 2 Corinthians 12:9 highlights God's strength in weakness, while James 4:6 and Romans 11:6 also emphasize the importance of humility and faith in receiving God's gracious gift.
